A Fatal Attraction from Lawyer A - Chapter 56
Gu Yuxi had just put on Luo Panzhi’s shirt when he heard a phone ringing outside the cloakroom. It wasn’t his ringtone, so he looked at Luo Panzhi.
Luo Panzhi, who was waiting for his “wife” to finish changing, frowned and cast a dark look toward the outside. He couldn’t ignore this particular ringtone because it was his assistant Xu Wen calling, and only emergency calls used this specific tone.
“I’ll take this call first. Wait for me.” Luo Panzhi kissed Gu Yuxi and walked out.
Gu Yuxi watched Luo Panzhi leave the cloakroom, then calmly buttoned up the shirt. Only while doing so did he realize that Luo Panzhi’s shirt now felt a little looser on him than before; previously, the fit had been similar.
He turned to gaze at himself in the full-length mirror.
The collar was slightly open, and the intentionally misaligned buttons gave the hem a staggered, uneven look. The length only reached roughly the middle of his thighs, leaving everything else exposed.
The person he was now seemed to have changed, yet also seemed unchanged.
The change was that he had dropped all his guard and no longer needed to maintain defenses in front of Luo Panzhi. The scheming of the past no longer required guilt or self-abasement, because Luo Panzhi staunchly protected all his self-respect, giving him no opportunity to feel defeated over past events. This change was one he welcomed wholeheartedly.
What hadn’t changed was that he was still the Gu Yuxi of the past. Whether he was an Omega or an Alpha, he would never show mercy to those who had wronged him.
He lowered his eyes, smiled, and walked out.
Luo Panzhi’s room was very large. Besides the bedroom, cloakroom, and bathroom, there was also a study. However, the study was mostly filled with things he liked to play with during his school days; the style was different from his external apartment.
In the study, Luo Panzhi sat at the desk, convening an emergency voice meeting. He looked solemn, leaning back in his chair, holding a fountain pen in one hand, his brow slightly furrowed as he listened to Xu Wen’s report.
“Recently, a zoonotic infectious disease outbreak has occurred in L Continent. The source of the infection was an Alpha male in heat who raped an Omega chihuahua, triggering the Omega chihuahua to undergo secondary differentiation into an Alpha. It began marking other Omega animals and even Alpha animals. The suspect Alpha male did not inject an inhibitor. After raping the Omega chihuahua, he continued to sexually assault multiple Omega females due to unfulfilled desire. The assaulted females all died during the secondary differentiation process due to pheromone rejection, severely constituting a threat to public safety.”
“The Omega chihuahua was a pet dog. Its owner did not legally take it to be inoculated with an inhibitor vaccine, and it marked numerous animals in a short period, leading to a serious zoonotic infectious crisis.”
“Given the suspect Alpha male’s close contact with the secondary differentiated chihuahua, and the subsequent cross-infection between animals and humans, even close secondary contacts can be led to secondary differentiation. The secondary differentiation gene defect has become the most serious root cause in this zoonotic epidemic, with a fatality rate as high as 99%.”
“Despite rescue efforts, secondary differentiation patients or animals—even with the neutralization of BO-Gender Agents—only temporarily improved before dying within 48 hours, with total organ necrosis, making rescue impossible.”
“The L Continent government has reached out to the International ABO Association and the International Health Bureau for assistance. They have also sent requests to Huaxia and the Galaxy Group, hoping we can supply them with Inhibitors and BO-Gender Agents.”
Luo Panzhi’s expression grew increasingly gloomy. He mentally cursed the animalistic pervert for being so lustful that he wouldn’t even spare a dog. “Manager He, are the quantities of Inhibitors and BO-Gender Agents in the medical warehouses across all districts sufficient?”
Manager He, whose name was called, immediately replied, “We need to do an inventory, as the current volume is needed to support exports.”
Luo Panzhi replied with a cool, mild ‘Hmm.’ “Tomorrow, report the amount of Inhibitors and BO-Gender Agents we can allocate to Xu Wen. Manager Zhang, tomorrow, you will tally the Inhibitor and BO-Gender Agent quantities scheduled for export to L Continent and verify with the International Health Bureau whether the population inoculated with the Inhibitor in F Continent has reached 70%. I do not want the Galaxy Group’s aid to be wasted.”
“And regarding the issue of secondary differentiation, this is a genetic defect rooted in the victim’s stress-induced psychological rejection.” The fountain pen in Luo Panzhi’s hand twirled, lightly tapping the desk, tap by tap. His voice was low, conveying an invisible sense of pressure to his subordinates on the other end of the conference call: “What is the root cause of this? It’s a societal problem. Inhibitors have been popularized for nearly thirty years! What does that concept mean? What is the root cause of issues like this still occurring? Aid has been sent wave after wave, and experts have gone group after group. How have the medical resources been used, and have the identified problems been solved?”
“…” None of the subordinates dared to speak.
With a ‘clack,’ Luo Panzhi rested the end of the fountain pen on the desk, his eyes cold and distant: “Xu Wen, what is the current Inhibitor inoculation rate there?”
“Thirty percent…?”
Luo Panzhi let out a cold laugh: “Fine. You can suggest that L Continent consult the experts at the Galaxy Research Institute. The Institute should be able to provide a solution for this secondary differentiation problem. Also, convey the Galaxy Group’s stance to the International Health Organization. Given the uneven international distribution of Inhibitors and BO-Gender Agents, we hope that every resource is utilized effectively and implemented properly. A 30% inoculation rate after L Continent has received medical resources is frankly unacceptable.”
“Understood, Young President Luo.”
Luo Panzhi thought of another question: “Manager He, I recall the Galaxy Group previously supplying BO-Gender Agents to subsidiary hospitals other than Ruixing Hospital. Are we still providing them now?”
“No, Young President Luo. The suspension of cooperation with Ruixing Hospital includes all hospitals under the Ruixing Group.”
“Good, I understand. Xu Wen, also—”
Before Luo Panzhi could finish, his gaze caught sight of an alluring figure, and his eyes instantly changed.
Gu Yuxi, wearing a white shirt, stood in the doorway of the study. The shirt collar was slightly open, and a few buttons were deliberately misbuttoned, allowing the hem to barely cover the top of his thighs. If he walked, it wouldn’t cover anything at all.
Even more eye-catching were the fluffy bunny ears on his head. The slightly droopy ears touched his hair, looking like natural ears—white, soft, and cute—adding an indescribable alluring color to this cold, ascetic man.
Even worse, Gu Yuxi had put his glasses back on.
He wore a provocative outfit while maintaining a cold and strict demeanor.
Then Luo Panzhi watched Gu Yuxi raise a hand to adjust the bunny ears on his head, smiling at him, as if hinting at something.
Luo Panzhi swallowed: “…Xu Wen, is there anything else?” As he finished speaking, he saw Gu Yuxi walking toward him. Every step Gu Yuxi took felt like it landed on his heart, and the dense excitement rushing through his bloodstream surged.
Xu Wen’s voice continued on the computer: “There is one more urgent matter. We need to fly to F Country tomorrow afternoon. The International Market Supervisory Group for BO-Gender Agents is conducting a quality check of the gender agents in F Country, and your presence is required.”
Gu Yuxi was now standing in front of him, his knees slightly bent, resting against the space between the chair and the desk. He placed his hand on Luo Panzhi’s shoulder, leaned down, and whispered close to his ear:
“Master, I also wore the bunny tail—it’s fluffy too. Would you like to touch it?”
The slightly hoarse, cool voice whispered close to his ear—a sound only the two of them could hear. Even though Xu Wen was reporting urgent itineraries, Luo Panzhi felt his reason completely crumble at that single word: ‘Master.’
It was a fatal temptation that completely controlled him, not to mention the fluffy bunny ears and the small, hidden, fluffy bunny tail.
Through the thin shirt, Luo Panzhi wrapped his arms around Gu Yuxi, feeling the slender waist in his palms. He pulled the man into his embrace and lifted his head to kiss him—a brief, light kiss, but a restraint nonetheless.
He gazed at Gu Yuxi while simultaneously answering Xu Wen: “Good. Is there anything else?”
His hand was already restless and couldn’t resist touching the bunny ear on Gu Yuxi’s head. The moment he touched it, his palm felt a tingling numbness. Then he saw Gu Yuxi smiling and moving his head against him, the bunny ear rubbing against his palm as if deliberately provoking him.
Gu Yuxi noticed Luo Panzhi’s expression had completely changed, and he smiled without saying a word.
“That’s all, Young President Luo.” Xu Wen on the other end of the computer had no idea what his boss was up to.
Luo Panzhi gravely said the meeting was adjourned. After clicking [End Meeting] with the mouse, he pinched Gu Yuxi’s waist and lifted him onto the desk: “Hmm? Little Bunny is so naughty, daring to provoke me like this while I’m on a call.”
Gu Yuxi naturally wrapped his legs around Luo Panzhi’s waist, pulled on his collar to bring him closer, the smile in his eyes encompassing the man’s current barely restrained appearance: “Because the Little Bunny has a baby now.”
That single sentence was enough for Luo Panzhi to feel completely disarmed, let alone the pair of legs wrapped around him. He simply couldn’t resist Gu Yuxi’s charm and was even more moved by Gu Yuxi’s willingness to indulge his fancy.
Worried that Gu Yuxi’s back might hurt sitting like that, he placed his arms under Gu Yuxi’s hips, picked him up face-to-face, and headed towards the bedroom.
This man had really lost a lot of weight. He remembered it being quite strenuous to hold him shortly after they met, but now holding him like this was no problem at all.
“You can’t lose any more weight. Look how much you’ve lost,” Luo Panzhi said while carrying him toward the bedroom.
Gu Yuxi held his neck: “I haven’t lost that much weight. I’ve always eaten a lot; you know I have a good appetite.”
“Now that my Little Bunny has a baby, you absolutely must eat even more.” Luo Panzhi sat down on the sofa, placing Gu Yuxi’s bent legs at his side. He cupped the man’s face and no longer restrained his urge to touch the bunny ear: “So cute.”
Gu Yuxi heard the tremor in Luo Panzhi’s voice caused by his delight, much like how he himself must have sounded when he saw the Doberman dog ears last time.
He smiled, straightened up slightly on Luo Panzhi’s lap, turned his body slightly, and took Luo Panzhi’s hand, guiding it behind him: “There’s a bunny tail too, feel it.”
Luo Panzhi let his hand be led. The back of his hand skimmed past the hem of the shirt, then touched the bunny tail hidden beneath the shirt, tucked inside his pants. The bunny tail slightly bulged through the fabric of the underwear. His lips slightly trembled, and he was rendered speechless by Gu Yuxi’s adorable sexiness.
“Did you feel it?” Gu Yuxi asked with a smile.
Luo Panzhi’s inner monologue at this moment: AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! My wife is so cute, I can’t handle it!!! Save me AAAAAHHHHHH!!!
