- Chapter 35 - The Stupid but Truly Beautiful Vase (Part 14)
During the latter half of the night, Li Rangnian fell into a stupor countless time, only to be jolted awake by the man’s fierce movements. No matter how much he cried and begged, he received not a shred of pity; instead, it only served to excite the other man further.
The man even pinched his chin, and while engaging in a deep French kiss, he said teasingly, “Don’t be too loud, baby. Your husband is right downstairs.”
The beauty’s face, which had gained a bit of color from the intense activity, instantly turned deathly pale. His eyelashes trembled, and his eyes became a shimmering pool of tears. His lips parted slightly, his throat parched as if on fire, and his voice was hoarse: “…What?”
“I said, your husband is right below us. Keep your voice down, don’t let him hear you.” Seeing the confused and fragile expression of the person beneath him, looking as if he were about to shatter, Yin Xianzhi’s pupils dilated unnaturally, the heavy darkness within them expanding.
The man breathed excitedly. His large hand tore off the string of Buddhist beads and wound it several times, tightly binding the beauty as he personally rubbed and toyed with him to send him to the clouds.
“Waaa… No! Stop! Please…” After his brain went blank, the afterglow swept over him in wave after wave. The guilt of betraying Yu An, along with the humiliation and pain of being forced by a stranger, followed suit.
The chain clinked and rattled, making a crisp, never-ending sound.
During the struggle, the cord snapped, and the Buddhist beads scattered across the floor, rolling away. Originally coated with a shimmering moisture, they were instantly covered in dust.
Li Rangnian resisted with bitter tears, crying so pitifully that he looked as if he might faint at any second. “Hubby, save me…”
But then, the man drew closer, pressing against the tip of his reddened ear, and said maliciously: “No, he can’t save you. All of this… was authorized by him.”
“I don’t believe you! you must be lying!” The beauty shook his head through his tears, clearly refusing to believe the words. He raised a hand to push the man away, but his arm was grabbed instead. Pecking kisses fell upon it one by one, followed by a trail of “red plums” (hickeys) blooming across his skin.
The itchiness on his arm made the beauty shiver, but he remained stubborn, saying word by word, “Hubby wouldn’t treat me like this. You must be lying to me.”
Hearing this, Yin Xianzhi’s fake smile nearly collapsed. With a surge of force in his fingers, he pinched marks into the delicate skin, causing Li Rangnian to kick him in pain.
Caught off guard, the man’s body tilted from the kick. Reacting in the next moment, he locked down the restless legs with immense force, gritting his teeth: “You like him that much? Hmm? Look closely, Who is the one with you right now?!”
The beauty’s body was delicate and could not handle such rough treatment; blood seeped from the places where the man’s nails had pinched. In the next moment, the man kissed those spots heavily, causing ripples of stinging pain.
“It was your ‘good husband’ who brought me to this house, and it was he who told me you were locked up… Even now, you still believe in him?” Yin Xianzhi was in a fit of rage, his normally refined face wearing a terrifying expression. Even he could not distinguish the source of his fury. “Do you think you’re important to him? Hmph. He just treats you like a canary, imprisoned in a cage for him to take whenever he pleases.”
Even though the beauty beneath him had reached a state of despair, Yin Xianzhi, blinded by jealousy, continued to speak mercilessly, “If he loved you, he wouldn’t use this method to keep you! You’re nothing but a slaughtered, available-to-anyone…”
Slap!
The man’s face was knocked to the side, and a bright red palm print appeared immediately. One could imagine how much strength the beauty had used.
“Heh.” Yin Xianzhi closed his eyes, his tongue pressing against the roof of his mouth. Feeling the burning heat on his face, he actually let out a laugh. “Baby, you’re quite spicy.”
He slowly turned his head, his pupils shrinking into thin vertical slits, like a cold-blooded venomous snake. “I like you just the way you are.”
The night was still long…
After an unknown amount of time, the man slumped on the sofa was startled awake by a sharp pain in his abdomen. His gradually clearing mind felt dizzy; having lain flat and sideways all night, his limbs were sore and his back pained.
“…” Yu An only felt a gust of alcohol deep in his throat. His temples throbbed with pain as if they had been struck by a hammer.
He vaguely remembered what happened in the booth last night, but he had no memory of how he returned. However, it was likely Yin Xianzhi who brought him back; he would have to thank him later.
Yu An knew without looking how disheveled he must be. He stood up with stiff limbs and stumbled upstairs, rushing into the bathroom of the guest bedroom.
In the mirror, the man had dark circles under his eyes, which were bloodshot. His lips were pale, and his suit was crumpled, The obvious results of a hangover.
Yu An felt utterly disgusted with his current self. He cupped cold water in his large hands and splashed it on his face, but the scent of alcohol still clung to him. Thus, he turned and entered the shower.
After the sound of trickling water, Yu An walked out draped in a mist of steam, his bare feet treading on the floor. Water droplets slid down his well-trained torso, dampening the carpet.
Gripping a towel casually to rub his hair, the man began to feel cowardly as he walked toward the bedroom.
Wifey hasn’t seen me all night. Will he be scared sleeping alone? Will he blame me?
The door seemed cursed, making him stand outside not daring to enter. Filled with worry, he raised his hand and then lowered it again.
Yu An, oh Yu An, I never thought you’d see this day. The man thought self-deprecatingly. He shook his head, straightened his collar, and finally summoned the courage to open the door.
A bed in shambles, Buddhist beads scattered across the floor, the beauty fallen into a stupor on the bed, and a body covered in mottled marks. The air was filled with a familiar scent.
Buzz— Yu An felt as if he had been struck on the head; the shock made his brain dizzy, and the world spun before his eyes. In his panic, he stumbled to his knees. He scrambled forward, not caring that he was covered in dust, and cried out heart-wrenchingly, “Wifey! Wifey, what’s wrong with you!”
His large, trembling hands grasped the pair of drooping, jade-like hands. Yu An bit his tongue, and the taste of blood instantly filled his oral cavity.
In a daze, a cold drop fell onto his cheek. He raised a hand to touch it unconsciously, only to realize it was a tear.
“Wifey… I was wrong, wifey, I beg you…” Yu An’s limbs were cold and his lips shivered. He pressed his head against the beauty’s chest to listen, hearing the steady heartbeat. “It’s okay, it’s okay, wifey…”
“What are you crying for? Isn’t he better this way? At your mercy, listening to you obediently.” At some point, Yin Xianzhi walked out of the bedroom’s bathroom. He leaned against the wall, smiling nonchalantly.
His body was also covered in marks all scratches showing how fierce the battle had been.
At this point, how could Yu An not understand? It was the other man who had forced the beauty.
“…” He knelt on the floor and kissed the back of Li Rangnian’s hand. After covering him with the blanket, he tightened his fist, turned around, and delivered a heavy punch to the man’s abdomen.
Thud! The solid punch landed, and sharp pain erupted from his abdomen. No matter how strong Yin Xianzhi’s body was, he couldn’t take it after a night of activity; he hunched over immediately.
In the next moment, punches fell like a storm. Yin Xianzhi actually managed to laugh. While enduring without resisting, he said spookily: “Angry? Didn’t you ask me? I merely gave you a hand. See? Look how obedient he is now.”
“To tame him, I spent a lot of effort. He cried all night, calling your name.” The man’s face was soon bruised, and blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but that smile remained welded to his face like a mask. “He looks so beautiful when he cries.”
“I’m going to kill you.” Yu An’s voice was eerily calm. He looked at the man as if he were a dead object, grabbing his collar and slamming him hard against the floor, determined to crush him into it. “Yin Xianzhi, I thought we were friends, but of all the things you shouldn’t have done, you shouldn’t have touched him.”
“Hahahaha…” Facing Yu An’s threat, Yin Xianzhi couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Friends? Yu An, we were never friends. All friendship is merely built on interests. Kill me? Do you dare? Your family, my family, and public opinion, None of them will let you off.”
He narrowed his eyes, his tongue licking the blood from his lips, appearing completely unconcerned. “Our hobbies have been the same since we were young. I like what you like, and I’m only a year older than you, yet I was taught to give everything to you. Yu An, why?”
The gifts he was forced to give up and the resentment of his youth had, like spring rain, slowly nourished his dark psychology. The seedling sprouted in his heart and took root from then on.
Li Rangnian’s appearance was also his handiwork. He had instructed this “fool” to deliberately approach Yu An; otherwise, with Li Rangnian’s status, he would have been unable to get near.
“I was the one who pushed him toward you step by step, binding you together in marriage. I intended to watch you repeat your mother’s mistakes, but I didn’t expect that he wouldn’t do as I said.”
Yin Xianzhi’s expression suddenly turned sinister, and his voice took on a chilling tone. “He changed. His soul became pure, beautiful… He became the salvation I once hoped for, the beam of light I had fantasized about.”
Long ago, Li Rangnian was hollow, with nothing but his appearance, like a puppet. Thus, even though his beauty suited his taste, Yin Xianzhi hadn’t touched him but sent him to Yu An instead.
But after that glimpse at the Night Colors Bar, he looked through those eyes and saw the other’s core a lonely, beautiful, free soul temporarily residing in a perfect shell. That soul was a wandering Gypsy, a fleeting meteor, a jumping note on the black and white keys. With just a glance and a smile, he had caused Yin Xianzhi to fall instantly.
It was a different kind of gift one that could be grasped, one that belonged solely to himself.
For the first time in his life, Yin Xianzhi went mad, trying every possible way to bring the person back to his side. But he didn’t expect that Yu An would also be moved, hiding the beauty so well that even he found it a bit tricky.
The response he received was a fruit knife. The sharp blade grazed his cheek and stabbed into the floor, opening a long, thin wound. Threads of fresh blood seeped out, adding a touch of evil to that gentle face.
Two men or more accurately, two wild beasts, tussled together, biting each other. In the chaos, the blade inevitably wounded them both. Though only half a pinky deep, the blood gushed out, quickly dampening their clothes.
The scent of blood was heavy, filling the air. With every breath, their throats were filled with bloody froth.
[Warning! Warning! Supporting Lead’s health is dropping!] The alarm in 051’s head kept ringing, but Li Rangnian had been tormented too severely and was in a deep sleep; he couldn’t wake up for the time being.
Yin Xianzhi only looked pale; in fact, he hadn’t missed a day of the gym for years. His well-defined muscles bulged, looking exceptionally fierce.
“Yu An, do you think you can beat me?” Both were covered in wounds, but it was clear that Yin Xianzhi had the upper hand. At this moment, his large hand was death-gripping Yu An’s neck. The lack of oxygen forced veins to bulge on Yu An’s temples; his face was flushed, and his eyes were bloodshot.
Watching this, Yin Xianzhi curled his lips and laughed with satisfaction. “You have this day too, Yu An. Truly a waste… You can’t protect him, and you’re going to lose yourself as well. Why not just give him to me… Ugh!”
A knife was suddenly plunged into his neck. Yin Xianzhi’s face turned white; his grip loosened, and his body fell backward. His large hand clutched the wound tightly, but blood flowed continuously from between his fingers like a fountain.
“Huff, huff…” Having survived the ordeal, Yu An panted heavily. He kicked the man far away and crawled up trembling. Looking down at the man lying on the floor covered in blood, his face was cold and stern: “Go to hell.”
He ignored the other and, with a shudder, fumbled under the carpet for the key and unlocked the chain for the beauty.
“Wifey, don’t be afraid of me. I won’t hurt you anymore, I swear.” He kissed the ankle where the red marks had been rubbed over and over again. He picked up the sleeping person and strode out of the bedroom.
Ultimately, Yin Xianzhi didn’t die. He suffered severe blood loss, and his throat made “ho-ho” sounds but couldn’t produce a voice. Every movement caused more blood to leak. In his dazed state, he thought of Li Rangnian again.
Like a kaleidoscope, his first meeting with the other person flashed by. He vaguely fell into a hallucination; the scent of disinfectant filled his nose, the beeping of instruments echoed in his ears, a person in a white coat moved their lips, and a bodyguard shouted something anxiously…
Yin Xianzhi slowly closed his eyes.
I seem to have… done something wrong. I shouldn’t have forced him. When he cried, my heart actually ached, but I was blinded by rage and ignored everything. Clearly, what I’m best at is pretending…
If—if I can wake up, can I see you again?
A massive wave rose in the capital. For some reason, the Yu family’s young master and the Yin family’s CEO had turned against each other, sparing no effort to drive the other to death. Now, Yin Xianzhi had been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, while Yu An was waiting for a police summons.
According to rumors, the two fought over a “male beauty,” but the vast majority of people scoffed at this. How could feelings be more important than interests? To offend a partner for one person truly crazy.
When Li Rangnian woke up, his surroundings were unfamiliar. The room was luxuriously and brightly decorated, and the faint scent of food floated in the air.
“Awake?” The man who had been waiting for a long time smiled. Sitting by the bed, his large hand rested on the beauty’s snow-white shoulder and back as he helped him up. “You’ve slept for a long time. Are you hungry?”
Li Rangnian had too much of his “yang energy” sucked away; he still couldn’t snap out of it. He pursed his lips tightly and didn’t speak, merely staring at the person before him with his beautiful peach-blossom eyes.
He was exceedingly well-behaved.
Han Xiangbai, who knew everything from Yu An, felt a sourness in his heart. He coaxed the beauty in a soft voice, “You must be hungry. Let’s eat first, okay?”
The man, who had never served anyone, moved slowly. He picked up a small bowl, scooped a spoonful of porridge, and blew it cool before offering it to the beauty’s lips. He looked cautious: “Come, open your mouth, say ‘ah’—”
Li Rangnian still didn’t move. In his eyes, which used to be as bright as stars, there was only silence. He just looked at him, unmoved.
“Baby, don’t scare me…” Han Xiangbai lost his composure. His hands shook with fear, and the rims of his eyes quickly turned red, his heart full of distress. “Baby, let’s open our mouth, okay?”
After a long time, the dazed beauty finally opened his mouth slowly. Under the gaze of the ecstatic man, he silently swallowed the food.
But once the feeding was over, the beauty remained motionless, leaning in the man’s arms like an exquisite porcelain doll. That trace of “little pride” and vitality could no longer be seen.
Han Xiangbai’s Adam’s apple rolled as he swallowed all the bitterness and pain. His large hand gently patted the beauty, coaxing him: “Baby, don’t be afraid, I’m here…”
But in his heart, he knew clearly that the beauty had been severely stimulated.
Being approached by Yu An was something he hadn’t expected, let alone having the person he dreamed of brought to him.
“…In the time I am away, please take good care of my wifey. I know you will be attentive.” The other man had kissed the beauty reluctantly before delivering him into his hands, his tone calm. “I wounded Yin Xianzhi; things likely won’t be peaceful for a while. Once the storm passes, I’ll come back to take him away.”
His gaze was sharp, sweeping like a knife across Han Xiangbai’s shocked and delighted face. “Don’t dream of gaining anything. He will only be my lover, legitimately so.”
