- Chapter 15: - The Sickly Alpha Who Sows Discord (Part 15)
The sound of thick, viscous water squelched for a long time before finally ceasing. Unconscious resistance had evolved into a “push-and-pull” reluctance, eventually turning into an unintentional compliance.
Shen Yiqing looked down at the other’s face; a large swath of crimson burned across his cheeks, like spreading peach blossoms.
The pitiful prey was held tightly by tentacles, unable to move. He could only whimper and expose his soft belly, attempting to use this gesture to earn a chance to escape.
The sleeping person was unaware that several red marks had been added to his body. Mucus had soaked his thin clothing, leaving the alluring scenery beneath fully visible.
Suddenly, a massive roar approached from the sky, coming from far to near. Bright searchlights swept back and forth.
Shen Yiqing raised his hand, molding his mental energy into a glass-like shield to cover them both before looking up.
The giant aircraft resembled a behemoth floating in the deep sea, crouching silently. The searchlights on both sides were like glowing pupils, mutely observing the ocean of trees below.
The bottom hatch opened, and numerous black shadows fell straight down.
“Hum, hum, hum…”
Dozens of combat skiffs swept past, their tails emitting blue flames and leaving trails in mid-air.
The walkie-talkie pinned to his waist let out an urgent notification: “All medical personnel, please pay attention! All medical personnel, please pay attention! Coordinates: Southeast of the Black Mist Forest. Casualties discovered…”
“So noisy…” The Alpha, whose sleep was disturbed by the noise, furrowed his delicate brows. His two arms hugged Shen Yiqing’s waist tightly, seeking a sense of security, as his head burrowed deeper into the other’s embrace.
In the next moment, the walkie-talkie was ruthlessly crushed by the Omega. After two static “ziz” sounds, it went completely silent.
His other hand soothingly stroked the top of the Alpha’s head, coaxing him softly: “It’s gone now. Sleep peacefully, Little Li.”
Rescue had arrived. Qin Yuan had likely realized he’d been tricked and would arrive soon.
Shen Yiqing pondered for a moment, coaxed Li Rangnian into hugging him tightly, and stood up in a bridal carry.
Unsurprisingly, the people he had contacted earlier should have arrived by now.
In a mountain stream, two Alphas wearing black coats crouched on rocks, waiting boredly.
On the back of their clothes was a white skull symbol covered by a large red “X.”
Behind them sat a small aircraft with sleek lines and a hard shell; its gray exterior was inconspicuous in the dark.
“…Dammit! How much longer do we have to wait!” The man with curly yellow hair stood up and stomped his feet, his face full of irritation.
The other man with a buzz cut didn’t move an inch, his tone calm: “Just wait. There are still a few minutes until the appointed time. He’ll be here soon.”
Curly-hair grumbled indignantly: “If it weren’t for the sake of repairing my mecha, I wouldn’t stay in this godforsaken place…”
“Shh! Quiet.”
The buzz-cut man raised a hand in a “shut up” gesture and slowly stood up, his eyes alertly scanning the surroundings. “There’s movement. Stay sharp!”
Curly-hair pulled out two ion launchers, tossed one to his partner, and they stood back-to-back. “What sound is that?”
“It’s strange. I can’t describe it… it sounds like many limbs rubbing against the ground…”
From the corner of his eye, a mass of writhing black shadows pounced. The buzz-cut man immediately pulled the trigger. “Voom ” A blue beam of light shot out instantly, hitting the target dead-on.
“Zhi, zhi, zhi!”
The shadow screamed and fell to the ground. In the parts that were pierced and charred, flesh wriggled as it regenerated. A tentacle raised its head, its mouthpart opening and closing as it bared its fangs at the men.
Seeing the shadow’s form, both men shared an expression of disgust. Curly-hair nearly gagged. “Crap! What is that thing! So many tentacles, how disgusting!”
The buzz-cut man fired another shot. The high temperature of the ion particles corroded the newly fused wound again, expanding it.
The monster shrieked in pain, its tentacles shrinking and churning like boiling water. Finally, unable to watch any longer, Curly-hair used a laser gun to sever them all one by one until it finally died.
Curly-hair held his nose as he approached, kicking the gradually hardening body. “Oi, way too hot. What even is this?”
His specialized black leather boots were stained with transparent liquid. In the next moment, a small hole was corroded into the surface, causing him to scream and jump several steps away.
A virtual projection popped up from his optical computer. The buzz-cut man scanned it quickly, his expression grim: “Xenomorph larvae? Strange, for them to appear on the Home Star.”
“What is the Frontier Army doing, letting them sneak in?”
“The war at the front is intensifying. The Xenomorphs have rioted again; there have already been three large-scale invasions.” The man mused, “It seems they have evolved again.”
His ears twitched, catching a sound. He turned his head. “Finally, he’s here.”
Shen Yiqing, carrying a person in his arms, stepped slowly out of the shadows, his expression indifferent: “Let’s go.”
Curly-hair, driven by curiosity, poked his head over to see the person. “Hey, who’s this?”
He was immediately elbowed by the man next to him, making him grimace in pain.
“Shut up,” the buzz-cut man warned him. He watched as the other opened the hatch and settled the person into a seat.
He stared at the other’s back, his brows knitting into a deep furrow as his heart rate inexplicably accelerated.
It was too strange. The feeling Shen Yiqing gave him had become dangerous; he actually felt a psychological repulsion toward him…
The buzz-cut man set his wandering thoughts aside for the moment. His gaze happened to meet Shen Yiqing’s; the other gave him a cold, sinister smile, causing his heart to skip a heavy beat.
“Bang! Bang!”
Two consecutive gunshots startled a flock of birds resting on the branches.
After the gunshots subsided, the mountain stream was suddenly illuminated. Accompanied by wild winds, the trees swayed. The aircraft rose steadily into the air, accelerated sharply, and vanished into the sky like a meteor.
Left behind on the ground were only dead men.
When the wind from the aircraft died down, the scent of blood had already spread far. The Alpha who had followed the scent all this way looked down at the corpses of the two strangers, his eyes narrowing.
“Shen Yiqing…”
In a state of fury, the man kicked a corpse violently. The body on top flipped over, revealing an optical computer on its arm.
Qin Yuan squinted. With a flick of his finger, invisible mental energy sliced off that section of the arm, and only then did he bend down to retrieve it.
Face ID Error.
The roar of engines approached. A pillar of light from a searchlight overhead enveloped his tall, slender figure while also illuminating the mess on the ground.
“Please drop your weapon and remain still.”
Amidst the warnings, the Alpha raised his head, looking up at the sky. He slowly dropped the blade in his hand, his posture relaxed.
The aircraft glided noiselessly into the night, crossing the vast forest, and soon landed at the destination.
Upon waking up in a new place, Li Rangnian looked completely dazed. The Omega, who appeared very healthy and had even changed into clean clothes, smiled brightly and reached out a hand with a gentlemanly bow.
“…You’re better?”
Li Rangnian glanced at the hand. After a second of hesitation, he took it, using the leverage to step down to the ground.
“Thank you for your concern, Little Li. I’m much better.” The man’s smile was clear and bright.
The oncoming night wind was exceptionally biting. Shen Yiqing took off his own white coat and draped it over the shivering beauty. “It’s cold, isn’t it? Forgive me for the temporary discomfort.”
The school’s large aircraft was parked ahead, red lights flashing. At some point, over a dozen patrol ships had appeared, with medical staff in white coats and soldiers bustling back and forth.
The students who had been urgently recalled looked confused, lining up for full-body scans.
The protagonist Omega won’t be exposed, will he? Li Rangnian tilted his head to look at him. The other returned a gentle smile: “What is it?”
“Nothing.” Li Rangnian quickly looked away, subconsciously pouting a little, feeling a bit annoyed with himself. Why was he worrying blindly? Of course the protagonist Omega would be fine.
Shen Yiqing’s smile remained unchanged as he gazed deeply at him. If Li Rangnian had looked just a bit longer, he would have noticed the crimson swirling deep in his pupils.
The two lined up side-by-side. An Alpha in front of them turned around to chat: “Hey classmates, do you know what’s going on?”
Li Rangnian smelled the scent radiating from the other person; his nose itched, and he quickly hid behind Shen Yiqing, peeking out like a cat with wide, rounded eyes. He replied in a soft voice: “I don’t know. What happened?”
“Ah, that…” The boy had likely never seen such a shy Alpha. His gaze instinctively landed on the other’s overly beautiful face, his eyes wavering for a moment as his face flushed.
“I heard a student was murdered. The Academy specifically sent soldiers for search and rescue, worried the rest might be in danger. This is the first time in years such a thing has happened…”
The boy, whose heart was still fluttering, looked up and met Shen Yiqing’s gaze it was the look one gives a dead man. The fire in his heart was instantly doused with cold water. Daring not to speak out, he turned back around gloomily.
Li Rangnian recalled what the system had mentioned and couldn’t help but wonder: Could those people have been killed by Shen Yiqing?
Hiss, I suddenly feel a bit scared. Li Rangnian quietly took a step back.
The person in front seemed to sense it. He turned to look at him. “Stand closer, Little Li.” His hand gripped Li Rangnian’s shoulder; the force was gentle but irresistible as he pulled the person to his side.
Li Rangnian, who was practically being embedded into him, gave up resisting: Fine, let it be.
Cold instruments scanned their bodies from top to bottom. A screen to the side displayed the images. Armed soldiers stood on both sides; anyone who dared resist would be taken away immediately.
Seeing this setup, Li Rangnian felt nervous on Shen Yiqing’s behalf, but the other’s emotions remained stable throughout the scan. Surprisingly, there were no abnormalities.
“…” Li Rangnian pouted, spread his arms, and obediently turned in a circle. Only after the display showed “Normal” did he enter the hatch.
Shen Yiqing escorted him to his room door. Thinking it was over, Li Rangnian swiped his keycard without a thought. In the next second, he was pushed inside and pinned against the wall.
The door closed with a “click.” The room was pitch black; the last sliver of light vanished.
“Don’t…”
A deluge of hot kisses followed dense, numerous, and impossible to fend off. A warm tongue traveled across him; everywhere it touched seemed to catch fire.
Li Rangnian’s legs felt incredibly weak, his body sliding down uncontrollably, but he was scooped up by the man and pinned back in place, unable to move.
The residual scent of Qin Yuan in the room triggered a massive surge of jealousy in the Omega. He was practically frantic in his tossing and turning.
The “strawberry” was peeled layer by layer, eaten by the diner bit by bit from head to toe, greedily sucking away every drop of sweet-and-sour juice. A unique sweetness filled the space between their teeth.
In his daze, Li Rangnian was enveloped by a strong scent of jasmine. His head felt dizzy and heavy as he lost all strength, leaving him at the other’s mercy.
The Omega’s eyes were red. He looked down, brushed away the stray hairs on the back of the other’s neck, and unreservedly exposed his own gland. His tone was gentle yet forceful, making it impossible to refuse.
“Little Li, mark me.”
…Eventually, they returned to the soft, large bed.
Small tiger fangs pierced the skin, and strawberry-scented pheromones poured in all at once.
Shen Yiqing trembled, his palms tightly gripping Li Rangnian’s supple waist, leaving marks behind.
A sense of satisfaction rose in his heart. Their heartbeats synchronized, and he miraculously felt the other’s emotions.
The marking was successful.
A newly marked Omega is extremely dependent on their Alpha, obsessed with the other’s scent. He held onto him, refusing to let go, his head rubbing against the other’s collar, revealing skin covered in marks.
The sensation just now had been too intense; he had almost lost control. The tentacles nearly emerged, but at the critical moment, they were forcibly retracted.
Shen Yiqing gazed at the Alpha, who was still caught in the afterglow and hadn’t come back to his senses. He thought: I absolutely cannot scare Little Li.
Take it slow.
On the other side, Qin Yuan was thrown into a confinement room. Intense, blinding searchlights hit his face, making it impossible to open his eyes, yet he didn’t blink.
The instructor sitting opposite him was expressionless, his voice cold as he questioned: “…These past few days, who were you with?”
“At the time of the incident, who did you see?”
“Why did you go there?”
Will Little Li be scared? Does Little Li know something is wrong with Shen Yiqing? Has Little Li safely returned to the aircraft?
Qin Yuan’s mind wandered aimlessly through his own thoughts, yet his face remained calm as he answered: “I was alone the entire time. I sensed fluctuations in mental energy nearby, so I went to check. I saw… Shen Yiqing.”
“You’d better not lie.” The instructor gave him a deep look.
“Of course.” The Alpha shrugged. “You can call him here, and we can talk face-to-face.”
The instructor stood up and signaled to the soldier outside the door. “Contact Shen Yiqing.”
“Yes, sir!”
