Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? - Chapter 37.1
The tips of her ears were red enough to drip blood, and her cheeks burned with unusual heat. Sui Yu felt like she was seriously ill—why was she thinking about all this nonsense?
But after biting into her gland, Shen Jueshu didn’t let her go. Instead, she remained close, replacing her teeth with the soft tip of her tongue, gently licking the blood that had seeped out from the bite.
A stronger jolt of electricity shot through Sui Yu’s body.
Her arms, which had been bracing against the seat, gave out. Just as she was about to fall, a pair of arms caught her, pulling her into a tight embrace.
Pheromones spread wildly in the confined space. The cool scent of geraniums trembled as if terrified. Facing an overwhelming avalanche of power, the fragile geranium scent tried desperately to curl in on itself, hoping to be pitiful enough to be spared.
Held in Shen Jueshu’s arms, Sui Yu was furious and frustrated. How could she, an Alpha, be so weak? This was a disgrace! Why was she curled up in Shen Jueshu’s arms like this?!
The more Shen Jueshu held her, the stronger the strange feeling in her chest became. A tight, uneasy pressure swelled inside her, as if something was about to break free from within and explode.
“You… you done yet?!” Sui Yu finally burst out, on the edge of a breakdown. So this is what it felt like when she used to bite and lick someone else’s gland?
She’d never dare do that again—please, just stop!
Sui Yu was almost in tears.
Shen Jueshu, having finally regained some clarity from her heat, became aware of the position they were in—intimate and ambiguous. Especially with Sui Yu’s shoulder pressing against her chest, she couldn’t ignore the physical closeness. She lowered her gaze to the top of Sui Yu’s head and pulled her lips back slightly so she could speak.
“Didn’t you say earlier that your pheromones were overflowing and anyone could take a taste? Now you can’t handle it? Weak Alpha?”
Sui Yu’s eyes widened instantly. “Who are you calling weak?! Who are you calling a weak Alpha?!”
Calling a top-tier Alpha “weak”? Are you out of your mind?!
“Is there another Alpha here besides you?” Shen Jueshu replied lazily.
Damn it!
Sui Yu gritted her teeth. Isn’t she technically an Omega? Aside from her gland, what part of her actually behaves like one?!
“You can’t just insult people like that—especially calling someone a ‘weak Alpha’! Who’s weak?! You haven’t even tried, so how would you know?!”
Shen Jueshu licked her gland again, slowly and deliberately, and said, “Why are you so hung up on whether you’re weak or not? It’s not like there’s anyone you need to satisfy.”
Damn it. That hit right where it hurts!
Sui Yu fought to escape from Shen Jueshu’s grasp, covering her gland with one hand. She looked like a wronged little wife, gritting her teeth and snapping, “Yeah, well you do. You have someone you need to satisfy, so of course you’re ‘strong’!”
Didn’t she used to get offended when I said she wasn’t strong? Now she’s the one throwing that insult around? What a hypocrite!
Shen Jueshu, much calmer now, was clearly more at ease and unbothered. She raised an eyebrow but didn’t say a word, which only made Sui Yu more frustrated.
Sui Yu’s face turned a deep shade of red. Then, unexpectedly, a wave of sadness surged up from her chest. Damn it, why am I being so pathetic? I’m even helping this woman take care of her wife!
Where is Shen Jueshu’s fated Alpha?! Why haven’t they shown up to take her away yet?!
Noticing that Sui Yu’s eyes were starting to turn red, Shen Jueshu stopped teasing. Closing her eyes with a sigh of fatigue, she said, “Let’s head home now, while I’m still okay.”
If they didn’t leave soon, she wasn’t sure when her heat would hit again.
Suppressing the bitter feeling in her chest, Sui Yu turned the key and drove off quickly toward home.
The ride back was smooth. As soon as they reached the front door, Sui Yu got out first, then walked around to open Shen Jueshu’s door. Her tone was stiff and blunt: “Can you walk on your own?”
Shen Jueshu leaned forward as the door opened and stepped out gracefully, making Sui Yu look like a chauffeur or a bodyguard holding the door for her.
Sui Yu: “…” Why hasn’t her fated Alpha shown up to collect her yet?!
Shen Jueshu was still wearing Sui Yu’s jacket, the faint scent of geraniums lingering around her like a gentle embrace. It felt as though she was still wrapped in Sui Yu’s presence.
That thought made Shen Jueshu momentarily dazed. Sui Yu wasn’t exactly broad-shouldered, but when someone leaned into her, there was a strange sense of safety.
She had a calming kind of power.
Following behind her into the house, Sui Yu finally noticed the jacket on Shen Jueshu’s shoulders. She snapped, “Give me back my coat!”
Didn’t she always refuse to wear other people’s clothes? Now she’s wearing it indoors like it’s nothing!
Shen Jueshu glanced back at Sui Yu’s tense face, then looked down at the jacket she was wearing. Without saying a word, she took it off cleanly and tossed it back at her.
Sui Yu: “…” Is that how you treat someone’s things? Seriously?
She grumbled inwardly. I wonder what she’s like around her fated Alpha. If she still acts this way, then that Alpha must be a saint. How could anyone put up with her?!
After Shen Jueshu tossed the jacket back at her, her expression turned slightly cold. She walked into the kitchen, silently poured herself a glass of warm water, and said flatly, “I have an important meeting tomorrow. You’re coming with me.”
Sui Yu casually threw her jacket over the back of the sofa and replied with a simple, “Okay,” without asking further.
Shen Jueshu gave her a glance, then after a moment’s hesitation, poured another glass of water and handed it to her.
Sui Yu’s expression immediately softened.
Shen Jueshu lowered her eyes, a faint, nearly invisible smile tugging at the corners of her lips. This person really is even easier to please than a child.
Without needing to speak, the two quietly returned to their rooms. After washing up and changing into pajamas, Sui Yu came to Shen Jueshu’s room. The door wasn’t fully shut—clearly left ajar for her.
Seeing that, Sui Yu felt a little smug. Finally, she’s stopped being so stubborn. I was worried she might lock the door behind her.
She walked in and gently closed the door. The air was filled with the thick scent of pheromones, and from the bathroom came the sound of a blow dryer. The whole scene felt oddly… intimate.
It reminded Sui Yu of two people living together, each doing their own thing in shared space—comfortable and warm.
Am I losing my mind? she thought. Why am I even thinking like this?
She jumped onto her designated side of the bed and idly scrolled through her phone, checking entertainment news. Suddenly, she saw Jiang Siyue and Mo Yu trending together as a “double-O” pairing. Curious, she tapped into the topic and found that, during their recent stage performance, they’d broken from their usual style and danced a sultry, seductive routine. When their eyes met on stage, the chemistry was so intense, people online were losing their minds.
Reading through the comments filled with excited shippers, Sui Yu muttered, “…Seriously?”
It didn’t look like chemistry—it looked more like they were both nearsighted and trying to focus on each other.
Just then, Shen Jueshu walked out and saw Sui Yu staring at her phone with a complicated expression. But before she could ask, Sui Yu spoke first.
“Siyue’s trending. She and Mo Yu are being shipped now. A lot of fans are calling them a CP.”
Her expression grew more conflicted. Is shipping people this easy these days? Just one performance, and they’ve become the show’s hottest couple?
Shen Jueshu glanced at her. “As long as the fans don’t take it too far, it’s good publicity.”
Indeed, shipping could boost both of their popularity.
