You Should’ve Said Earlier that you’re Such a Little Flirt! - Chapter 11
The moment the question was asked, the air grew even more peculiar. Lin Konglu froze instantly, silently gripping her wrist.
Actually, Xu Qingqiong felt awkward herself the second the words left her mouth. Why on earth did she ask that?
While she didn’t feel inferior because of such a kink, a kink was still a kink—it always felt strange to say out loud. Moreover, she was starting to doubt herself; the more she recalled the moment, the more she felt it might have been an illusion.
Look at that cold, expressionless face…
Tsk. Her own thoughts were filthy; she couldn’t just project them onto Lin Konglu.
Though… though… if it were true, just the thought of that image made her feel a strange, unbidden surge of arousal.
But it was impossible. Xu Qingqiong glanced at her sideways and immediately dispelled the unhealthy thoughts in her head.
Seeing the atmosphere stagnate in silence because of her words, she rubbed the tip of her nose and tried to salvage the situation: “Uh… what I actually meant was, your flowers haven’t withered, right?”
It was a terrible excuse. There were indeed plants in the house, but they were all non-flowering varieties. None of them could “wither” in that sense.
Fortunately, both were preoccupied with their own thoughts, so no one bothered with the details.
Lin Konglu gave a soft “mm” and followed the lead. “The housekeeper usually looks after them.”
After that question, silence fell again.
Xu Qingqiong asked, “You didn’t answer me just now. Are you still angry?”
Lin Konglu paused, looking down at her.
Xu Qingqiong didn’t understand why Lin Konglu looked so surprised. She didn’t know why Lin Konglu was angry, but she wasn’t blind—she could tell. Lin Konglu had made it quite obvious.
Using the same motion one might use to pet a dog, she patted Lin Konglu’s chest absentmindedly. “Be good, don’t be angry anymore. It’s bad for your health.”
“I heard that getting angry often leads to nodules and high blood pressure. If something happens to you, I’ll end up inheriting the estate…”
Lin Konglu didn’t hear what came after that. She stared blankly at Xu Qingqiong’s movements.
As Xu Qingqiong spoke, her arms were wrapped around Lin Konglu’s waist, her cheek resting casually on her shoulder, strands of hair falling over her arms.
It was a gesture of attachment. It felt as if they were a normal couple, about to enter a marriage full of love.
Even knowing this was just a fleeting illusion, Lin Konglu couldn’t help but feel her heart soften.
Ever since they met, Lin Konglu knew Xu Qingqiong’s personality: she appeared proud and unapproachable on the surface, but due to her family background, she had a very sensitive side.
The sharp, vigilant part of her nature meant she was always observing her environment; the moment she sensed something was off, she would run away.
Just like tonight—at the mere display of emotion, she had sensed it and immediately tried to flee to the guest room to distance herself.
But these occasional moments of initiative were enough to make one feel overwhelmed by favor.
Lin Konglu’s breathing turned shallow; she didn’t dare move. She was afraid of actually scaring her away, yet she couldn’t help wanting to touch her, to pull her closer into her arms.
One side of her was softening, while the other was still angry.
She was angry about Xu Qingqiong’s casual denial of their relationship earlier that evening. Was admitting their marriage really that embarrassing?
Yet, being coaxed by these few lighthearted words made her feel it wasn’t Xu Qingqiong’s fault—she hadn’t done it on purpose.
Truly, she was like a cat: naturally gifted at sensing your emotions, yet acting as if nothing were wrong, extending a paw to test your boundaries without even realizing it, completely oblivious.
She had been so self-righteous with her demands earlier, making people angry, and now she was hugging her waist, effortlessly dissolving all that resentment.
Xu Qingqiong had no idea what she was thinking. Her hands had been resting obediently on Lin Konglu’s waist, but she suddenly accidentally felt her abdominal muscles.
Lin Konglu seemed to have a workout habit; her stomach was tight and flat, the skin smooth and firm, the lines perfectly defined. It felt great to touch.
Xu Qingqiong couldn’t help but say ‘wow’ in her head.
While she continued to ramble mindlessly about not being angry, she couldn’t resist sliding her hand under the pajamas to knead and squeeze, carefully investigating the texture and lines of those abs.
She was still chatting away, completely unaware that the look in Lin Konglu’s eyes had changed.
Finally, Xu Qingqiong had felt enough. She withdrew her hand, rolled over to prepare for sleep, and said casually, “Goodnight.”
She waited for a moment, but there was no response.
Feeling something was wrong, Xu Qingqiong turned back to look at her.
Lin Konglu was still in the same position, motionless.
Xu Qingqiong tugged at her sleeve. “What is it? Say goodnight back.”
Lin Konglu remained silent. Xu Qingqiong finally realized the atmosphere was off. She propped herself up on her arms and leaned over her to get a closer look. “What’s wrong with you?”
She was completely unaware that the distance between them had long since breached the safety zone; they were practically at negative distance.
As soon as she finished speaking, Lin Konglu cupped her face and bit her lower lip with a grinding force.
Xu Qingqiong was shocked. She tilted her head back to dodge, immediately saying, “Hey, what are you doing…”
But it was too late. Her remaining words were swallowed by the other person’s mouth.
…
Lin Konglu’s fingertips traced the curve of her waist, making her legs tremble.
Xu Qingqiong hadn’t originally intended for anything to happen tonight. But after Lin Konglu kissed her several times, she couldn’t help it. She half-willingly wrapped her arms around Lin Konglu’s neck and sat on her lap…
Just when she thought Lin Konglu was going to continue, Lin Konglu suddenly paused, pursed her lips tightly, and let go.
Ah, just a kiss? She was skeptical, feeling a faint, hidden sense of disappointment and annoyance.
She had been stoked into a fire with nowhere to release it. She gave Lin Konglu a searching look, hesitated, and sighed. She desperately wanted to say: If you’re not up for it, let me do it.
But thinking of her own terrible skills, she held back.
She mentally made excuses for Lin Konglu: Frigid people are just like that; they lose desire right after kissing.
Perhaps doing it several times in a row wouldn’t just result in a loss of libido, but a loss of the will to live—it might be life-threatening.
Besides, she’d heard that being the “top” was exhausting. It was taxing on the mind and body, led to wrist pain, and could easily cause tendonitis. It wasn’t like her, who just lay there and enjoyed it.
Lin Konglu had played that role so many times before; it must have been hard on her. It was understandable and forgivable that she didn’t want to continue now.
She made up her mind: next time, she would let Lin Konglu lie down and enjoy it!
Everyone has a first time. It’s just being a “top”—how hard could it be? By taking this brave step, she could do it!
After cheering herself up, she shifted her focus. She kicked Lin Konglu’s calf and asked, “How much did you see just now?”
“What?”
“…” Xu Qingqiong said sheepishly, “I mean the livestream.”
“Oh,” Lin Konglu said. “Do you mean the part where you said ‘you’re going to get a lesson,’ or the part about ‘the family member is here’?”
Xu Qingqiong: “…” So she saw everything!
She heard Lin Konglu seem to chuckle, her tone carrying a hint of teasing.
Just as Lin Konglu was about to say something else—”You…”
Xu Qingqiong couldn’t take it anymore. She quickly reached out to cover Lin Konglu’s mouth and dove into her arms, saying fiercely, “Alright, alright, no more talking.”
After a while, she started bringing up old scores again. “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t watch? I even begged you.”
She made it sound as if Lin Konglu was the unreasonable one who didn’t keep her promise after being acted spoiled toward.
In the darkness, nothing could be seen clearly. Lin Konglu stopped talking. Her arms silently encircled Xu Qingqiong’s waist, holding her tight. She felt like crying.
Xu Qingqiong snapped, “Say something!”
“I didn’t watch. It just drifted into my eyes on its own.”
Xu Qingqiong: “…”
That was a really cold joke.
But Lin Konglu’s body temperature was warm and cozy. Xu Qingqiong hummed comfortably and muttered, “You’re the one who should be warming the bed for me.”
Lin Konglu controlled her emotions. “Mm.”
Mm?
Xu Qingqiong was startled. She tried to look up at her in the dark. “What did you just say?”
Lin Konglu pressed her lips together and immediately regained her composure. Her voice betrayed nothing as she pressed Xu Qingqiong back down. “Nothing. Let’s sleep.”
“…Oh.”
She probably just misheard.
Xu Qingqiong stopped talking, closed her eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
Little did she know, the person lying next to her silently wiped away her own tears while she slept, and then took out her phone.
