Synopsis:

Tang Wangyue had never thought about getting married.
Her mother, however, was convinced she liked womenand even asked a friend to set her up with another woman who was supposedly the same way.

What Tang didn’t expect was that her blind date would turn out to be none other than Yun Chuxian, a top-tier movie star.

She couldn’t figure out how her mother even knew someone like Yun Chuxian. Their worlds were miles apart. Tang thought they’d never meet again—until the very next day, a marriage agreement from Yun Chuxian landed on her desk.

“Sorry, I have to refuse.”

But… she couldn’t escape the net Yun Chuxian had so artfully cast.

One night, Tang Wangyue ran into the actress downstairs who was drunk and on the verge of collapsing. Instinctively, she reached out to help. The next thing she knew, Yun Chuxian was already in her arms.

With no other choice, Tang brought her home.

She hadn’t expected just how bold a drunk Yun Chuxian could be. Gone was the aloof, elegant movie queen everyone knew and after one reckless night, Tang Wangyue offered to take responsibility.

Yun Chuxian only smiled and declined:

“I thought Screenwriter Tang wasn’t the old-fashioned type.”

The next time they met was on set. Tang was a writer who normally didn’t follow production, yet the moment she heard Yun Chuxian was playing the lead, she broke her own rule.

Yun Chuxian greeted her with polite indifference, as if they were complete strangers.

Until later that night, when she showed up at Tang’s hotel room with the character notes in hand.

“Screenwriter Tang,” she said coolly, “may I ask about your creative vision for this role?”

Her voice was calm and courteous. Tang’s heart sank.

But as soon as Yun stepped inside, she pushed Tang down onto the sofa.

“You… what are you doing?”

Yun Chuxian gave a teasing smile.

“You never follow the crew, so if you’re here, it must mean you can’t get enough of me. Naturally, we should be doing…”

And that night turned into many more, until the shoot finally wrapped.

“Screenwriter Tang has improved so much. I’m almost reluctant to part ways.”

“Too bad we’ll be separating soon.”

“If you miss me, feel free to call anytime.”

Every “Screenwriter Tang” from Yun Chuxian’s lips made Tang’s eyes burn red.

“Call me by my name, Yun Chuxian!”

Yun raised an eyebrow, leaned close, and whispered by her ear:

“And what if I don’t?”

Tang’s voice was cold.

“The room hasn’t been checked out yet.”

It wasn’t until much later that Tang finally understood.
She was just a fish on a line.

Once she’d bitten the hook, she could only be reeled in by Yun Chuxian’s hand, powerless to resist.

*******

Late at night, under the soft moonlight, two figures tangled together.

Yun Chuxian gazed at Tang Wangyue’s dazed, lovestruck expression and felt a deep, inexplicable thrill.

Forget her? Reject her?

Ha—she would still come running back to please her.
