The novel follows Jiang Yan, a dedicated employee of the Quick Transmigration Bureau with a secret dream of becoming a “sea king”—a term for someone who has many romantic interests and provides a “warm home” for all their “sisters.” One day, she is forcefully bound to a “Lickspittle System” and sent through three thousand worlds to reduce the “blackening” (dark transformation) value of the female leads.
World Arcs
World 1: Jiang Yan is a ridiculous and sycophantic younger “sister” to a beautiful, powerful, and tragic older sister. After five years of helping her, she is told she’s “disgusting.” The night before her arranged marriage, the older sister tries to stop her, but Jiang Yan simply laughs it off.
World 2: Jiang Yan is a clumsy paparazzo who “sells” herself to a two-faced movie star. She tirelessly handles all of the star’s troubles until she overhears her being called a “useful tool.” Jiang Yan immediately leaves to inherit her family’s fortune and later coolly pretends not to know the star at a gala.
World 3: Jiang Yan is a whimsical rich heir who marries a cold, aloof female CEO. When the CEO hands her divorce papers, Jiang Yan tears them up, stating she will stay to protect her. Later, the CEO begs her not to fall for anyone else, but Jiang Yan coldly reminds her, “Ms. Gu, please have some self-respect. We’re already divorced.”
