Chen Jia has transmigrated into an old-school “Mary Sue” school romance novel. To make matters worse, she’s just a “Mob Character A”—a broke bystander. After sorting through the plot, she decides to stay far away from Su Su, the story’s “luck-draining void.” According to the book, the supporting antagonist Su Su and everyone around her are destined for a miserable end.
However… this “villainous second lead” Su Su doesn’t seem to have a single villainous bone in her body. How should she put it?
She looks a bit dim-witted; her “evil” isn’t exactly obvious.
At their first meeting, Su Su had her nose in the air, looking down on everyone. But once they got close, she became incredibly clingy—impossible to shake off, following Chen Jia even when she goes to take a shower.
The phrase she shouts most often is: “I HAVE MONEY!” (Super loud).
Su Su spends her days plotting how to spend money on the “country bumpkin” Chen Jia without getting a refund. Her greatest joy is treating Chen Jia like a Barbie doll, dressing her up however she likes. Her favorite pastime is causing “social death” for Chen Jia, embarrassing both of them simultaneously while happily babbling away.
One of them remains blissfully unaware that her happiness is only possible because the other is “carrying the heavy load” behind the scenes.
To save Su Su from her role as a mere stepping stone for the lead couple’s romance, Chen Jia puts in painstaking effort. Under her constant “help” (and meddling), the Male and Female Leads reach a Happy Ending—though their mental states seem a bit… off. But that’s none of Chen Jia’s business; all she ever wanted was Su Su.
When Su Su finally realizes she’s attracted to Chen Jia’s looks, Chen Jia hesitates for a single second, only to be pointed at and interrogated:”So you only became my friend because of my money, not because you like me!”
Chen Jia responds helplessly:
“Not exactly. It’s also because you’re a fool.”
