- Chapter 1 - Rule One of Raising a Daughter: Learn to Survive
The emergency room was a large, open space. Ding Moyan lay in the center, her eyes half-lidded, her vision blurred.
She watched the hazy figures of the attending doctors and nurses bustling around her, working together to wrest her life from the clutches of death. A bitter taste rose in Ding Moyan’s heart.
She had a heart condition.
She had spent nearly seven or eight years in this hospital, witnessing others with the same illness pass away one after another.
Now, it was finally her turn. Ding Moyan felt an unprecedented fear, terror, and resentment toward fate.
Why was she doomed to die from the moment she was born? Why did she have to lie in a hospital bed every day, waiting for death to come?
Why…?
Ding Moyan screamed inwardly in despair. Her heart felt as though it were being crushed by a giant hand she could hardly breathe, as if it might burst at any moment.
Perhaps it was what the elderly called the “last rally before death,” but Ding Moyan’s mind was unusually clear at this moment. The faint beeping of medical equipment echoed in her ears.
The sound wasn’t too loud, yet it relentlessly teased her fragile nerves.
Beep!
A sharp mechanical noise pierced the air. The once fluctuating line on the monitor now stretched flat and straight.
“Not good!”
The attending doctor paled. A seasoned professional, he acted swiftly, grabbing the defibrillator handed to him by a nurse and pressing it against Ding Moyan’s body.
Zap!
The electric shock jolted through her, and her lifeless body convulsed upward.
After several attempts, the medical equipment remained unresponsive, the line stayed flat.
“Increase the voltage!”
“Hurry!”
[I have a heart condition.]
[I died in the emergency room of a hospital.]
[But I refuse to accept it…]
This was Ding Moyan’s last conscious thought before death.
“Mmm…”
Ding Moyan’s eyelids fluttered slightly before opening, revealing a pair of beautiful, misty violet eyes.
Staring at the unfamiliar surroundings and the lively, pounding heartbeat in her chest, confusion flickered in her gaze, making her seem like a bewildered young animal.
“What’s going on?”
Ding Moyan panted, clutching her racing heart, unsure whether to feel joy or sorrow.
After a few seconds, she slowly tried to stand up. But the moment she moved, a sharp pain shot through her spine, forcing her back down.
Her back felt as though it had been run over by a cartwheel, and her left arm was completely numb and immobile likely fractured.
[Ding!]
[Hello, Host! I am System 7788, your supervisor in this world.]
[Your resentment before death was so intense that the system detected you.]
[As long as you complete the main mission of this world, you will be granted a new life.]
Ding Moyan frowned slightly, slowly processing the system’s words.
She had always been a staunch materialist, scoffing at online tales of summoning ghosts or time travel. But now that it had happened to her, she had no choice but to believe, apparently, transmigration was real.
From the system’s explanation, she had transmigrated into the body of a scummy Alpha female antagonist in an ABO novel.
The original character was 176 cm tall, with a cold, striking appearance everyone saw her as a saintly white lotus.
Every Omega who had ever dated her fell hopelessly in love, and even after breaking up, they would blame themselves for the relationship’s failure.

Staring at the information on the panel, Ding Yanmo couldn’t help but swallow hard, a chill creeping up her spine.
Ding Moyan pointed at the image of the female side character being beaten to death and asked the system, “7788, will I die just as horribly later? If so, I might as well not be revived.”
【This was the original plot. As long as you don’t alter the main storyline, you can die however you want, as long as you complete the mission.】
“Mission?” At this, Ding Moyan’s heart twitched involuntarily. “What mission? If I complete it and get a perfect revival, can I return to my world? Is there a time limit?”
Faced with the barrage of questions, the system remained unhurried, answering each one in turn.
【Because the antagonist in this novel is too overpowering, overshadowing the female lead, readers have been voicing their dissatisfaction. Your ultimate mission is to help the female lead defeat the antagonist.】
【Upon completing the mission, you will naturally return to your original world. The system will provide you with a new body to start a fresh life. If you die before completing the mission, your body will remain in the operating room, declared dead from a heart attack.】
【The time limit is as long as you’re alive.】
If the time limit is tied to her lifespan, then she should be able to survive here for quite a while.
Thinking this, Ding Moyan couldn’t help but sigh in relief.
【Note: Host, you suffer from Information Disorder Syndrome. This condition only affects alphas. During episodes, your pheromones will mutate into those of an omega, capable of arousing alphas. Currently, there are no known cases of this condition being cured in the interstellar world.】
【According to interstellar hospital data, alphas with this condition typically do not survive past the age of 22.】
【The host’s current age is 18.】
Ding Moyan froze for a moment. Looking at the number “18” on the screen, she couldn’t help but mutter, “So you’re saying I won’t live past three more years.”
【That’s correct.】
【So, host, do your best and don’t slack off! The sooner you finish, the sooner you can go home!】
As the panel closed, Ding Moyan leaned back in her chair, nervously biting her lip. She felt a mix of relief and dread about being alive, and the future developments in this world filled her with panic.
“Ding Moyan, the student council president wants to see you.” The grade monitor walked up to Ding Yanmo’s desk, rapping her knuckles against the surface.
【Ding Bai, grade monitor, the original host’s half-sister.】
【Their relationship is strained, but the exact reason requires the host to uncover.】
Seeing Ding Moyan remain motionless, Ding Bai frowned and knocked again. “Go see her now.”
“What does the president want with me?” Ding Moyan looked up, twirling her pen as usual.
“You’ll find out when you get there. If you don’t go, face the consequences.” Ding Bai shot her a disdainful glance, then lifted her chin like a proud swan and strode off after delivering the threat.
Novels are never short on scenarios where the hero saves the beauty.
After reviewing the information provided by the system and understanding the full context, Ding Moyan’s face clearly read, “I’m the biggest fool.” The male lead of this story, Jiang Pei, had offended the student council president and was now being cornered by her lackeys in a secluded campus alley, a place with no surveillance, where anything could happen unchecked.
Unfortunately, the original host was a complete idiot. When the male lead begged for help, she recklessly showed off by beating up the people under the president’s command bare-handed. Though she inevitably got hurt in the process, she managed to drive them away.
She successfully rescued this frail little omega.
But she never stopped to think, why did the male lead ask her for help instead of the female lead? It was obviously because he was afraid his beloved female lead would offend the president, so he used her, the simp, as a shield.
No wonder her body hurt so much. Ding Moyan chewed on a blade of grass, staring blankly at the moody sky, her heart as desolates as the biting cold wind, utterly hopeless.
On her first day transmigrating into the book, she was summoned to the office by one of the story’s main antagonists, the president.
Discomfort, irritation, frustration all these emotions buzzed noisily in her head.
