Transmigrated Into A Scumbag Alpha Who Only Wants To Cuddle With Cat Omega - Chapter 3
The atmosphere in the room froze instantly.
Noticing the wariness and disgust in Sang Wu’s eyes, Song Ran casually withdrew her hand, suppressing her embarrassment as she sat down on the cloth bench by the bed.
“Sang Wu,” Song Ran said softly, pressing the call button beside the bed, “are you alright?”
As if unwilling to see her, the quiet, picture-perfect Omega on the bed closed her eyes again.
Song Ran wanted to say more, but the doctor had already arrived. She stood up to make way for the doctor’s examination.
After thoroughly examining Sang Wu, the female doctor finally smiled. “She’s fine, but she still needs to be observed for three more days before she can be discharged. During these three days, please pay special attention to her diet and mood. Try to avoid any extreme emotional fluctuations. Rest assured, the nurses will deliver her daily medication on time.”
“Thank you,” Song Ran said, relieved. “You’ve worked hard.”
“You’re welcome.”
With that, the doctor, followed by two nurses, left the room, careful not to disturb the two inside.
The room fell silent again. Song Ran pressed her lips together, wanting to say something but unsure how to start.
Her phone’s notification chime snapped her back to reality. She searched her memory for the password and unlocked it. As the only heiress of the Song family in Jincheng, the original Scum Alpha had never lacked for money or sleazy friends.
Two “friends” who had given her banned medication two days earlier had already sent messages asking about the outcome.
[Xiao Zhang San: How’s it going, Sis Ran? Did you tame that Omega of yours into submission? I told you this stuff works like magic!]
[Sister Ran, did you get carried away? Did you forget we have a gathering today? Then again, that Omega might be from the slums, but she’s certainly good-looking. Must be a real treat in bed to make you break your vow of abstinence.]
Seeing no response, they pressed their advantage.
[Sister Ran, A-Han asked me to ask if you’d lend her to him for a couple of days. You’ve already used her once, so you probably don’t want her anymore, right?]
Song Ran couldn’t stand it any longer.
She scoffed, then promptly blocked both of their contact information. In the “Jiu Jiu’s Scum Friends” group chat, she tagged everyone and wrote:
[Don’t invite me to any more events.]
Then she left.
After sending the message, she decisively left the group, completely disregarding her former ties to the Scum Alpha and some of his old acquaintances. She tossed her phone onto the sofa, thinking she probably shouldn’t keep this SIM card either.
The room was silent. Song Ran lay on the sofa, occasionally glancing at the Omega on the bed.
To be honest, Sang Wu was the most beautiful person she’d ever seen in her life.
Yet this exquisite beauty had endured a life of hardship and misfortune.
Song Ran hadn’t finished reading the book at the time. The author usually focused on Sang Wu’s appearance when describing her, glossing over her background and history.
Even these brief mentions were highly dramatic.
Sang Wu was supposed to be the daughter of the wealthy Sang Family of Jincheng. But due to an accident, her fate took a complete turn—
She wasn’t abandoned; she was exchanged.
Driven by greed, a woman secretly swapped Sang Wu with her own daughter, placing Sang Wu in the Sang Family Madam’s arms and taking the Madam’s daughter for herself.
From that moment on, the two girls’ lives followed completely different paths.
Despite committing such a wicked act, the woman felt no remorse. As Sang Wu grew up, she never received her parents’ love. She lived every day on the edge, barely able to afford even… even a single piece of properly fitting underwear.
Song Ran clenched her fingers, her gaze complex as she looked at the frail Omega lying on the bed.
She hadn’t finished reading the book because the Scum Alpha’s torment of Sang Wu was simply too unbearable to read. Unable to stomach it, she had skipped straight to the end, satisfied only after learning that Sang Wu, having darkened, teamed up with the Female Lead to send the Scum Alpha to prison.
But the problem was—she had transmigrated into the body of Scum Alpha!
She didn’t want Sang Wu to suffer any further harm.
During this marriage, she would treat Sang Wu well. If Sang Wu truly hated her, she was willing to divorce and compensate her.
After pondering this for a moment, Song Ran suddenly stood up.
She slowly walked to the bedside, standing tall and straight instead of sitting down.
“Sang Wu, are you hungry?” She studied Sang Wu’s expression, but there was still no response. Undeterred, she continued, “If you’re hungry, I’ll go buy you something to eat.”
The small potted plants on the windowsill silently watched them, remaining completely silent.
Sang Wu remained motionless, like a serene Sleeping Beauty.
“Sang Wu, it’s midnight. I’m going downstairs to see what’s available. If you feel unwell, press the call button beside the bed. I’ll be back soon.” With that, Song Ran sighed silently. She picked up the phone from the sofa and quickly left the hospital room.
As the door gradually closed, the quiet Sleeping Beauty finally stirred.
Her curled eyelashes, dark as crow feathers, trembled slightly as Sang Wu slowly opened her eyes, revealing a clear, lucid gaze.
Not long after leaving the hospital room, Song Ran ran into a staff member delivering meals.
When the staff member stopped her, she was still a bit dazed, but as soon as she remembered her new identity as Scum Alpha’s wife, everything clicked into place.
“This is lunch for you and Madam. Please enjoy your meal,” the staff member said.
“Thank you for your hard work.”
The staff member seemed startled by the courtesy. “You’re too kind, Ms. Song,” she said, waving her hand. “It’s our job.”
Song Ran felt a little helpless. Back in the entertainment industry, she was famous for her good temper. Combined with her acting skills and looks, both industry insiders and outsiders had affectionately nicknamed her “Heartthrob.”
Now she had to suddenly act like a spoiled heiress.
She really wasn’t used to it.
The staff member didn’t dare linger. Seeing Song Ran take the meal tray, she hurried away.
A faint smile played on Song Ran’s lips, the curve of her mouth lovely. Her long brown hair swayed as she walked back to the room. As she approached Sang Wu’s door, her steps slowed almost unconsciously.
Sang Wu must hate her now, maybe even despise her.
For now, she needed rest and recuperation, so she had to keep her distance.
With that thought, she opened the door and gently placed the meal tray on the table. The hospital had prepared a generous lunch, and Sang Wu’s portion was clearly labeled.
After arranging the delicate dishes on the table, she picked up Sang Wu’s congee and walked over.
“It’s time to eat, Sang Wu.”
The person on the bed remained unresponsive, her eyelashes seemingly never having parted.
“Sang Wu, I know you’re awake,” Song Ran said softly. “Hating me takes energy, and how will you get any energy if you don’t eat?”
“You really won’t eat? It smells delicious.” A smile tugged at the corner of Song Ran’s lips as she instinctively began coaxing the person on the bed like a child. “Children who don’t eat get punished, you know.”
Perhaps this comment finally reached the Omega pretending to sleep.
In the next instant, Sang Wu’s almond-shaped eyes snapped open, her gaze filled with loathing. “How disgusting are you?”
With her jet-black hair framing her porcelain skin, a few stray strands brushing against her delicate cheeks, Sang Wu frowned. “Song Ran, what new game are you playing now? Trying to humiliate me in public at the hospital again? Or are you planning to throw this bowl of porridge in my face later?”
The previously calm atmosphere froze, turning tense and eerie.
The smile froze on Song Ran’s face. After a long silence, she placed the porridge on the bedside table and covered it. “I’m not trying to do that,” she said calmly. “I was just worried—”
The rest of the words caught in her throat. Sang Wu, usually so composed, was thoroughly enraged.
Even her anger was striking. The corners of her eyes were tinged with red, her small mole exceptionally alluring, and her almond-shaped eyes clear and piercing. “For you to say the word ‘worried’… it’s simply laughable.”
A faint mistiness welled in her eyes as she sneered, “You’re worried I’ll die, aren’t you? Worried that if I do, you’ll have to spend time finding a new toy, right?”
Seeing Sang Wu’s mood darken further, Song Ran frowned slightly.
She patiently explained, “Sang Wu, I don’t think that way. I really just worry about you…”
Her voice trailed off helplessly.
The Scum Alpha’s actions were truly despicable.
She lacked the conviction to argue. Sang Wu’s suspicions were understandable.
“Stop talking. Get out,” Sang Wu said.
“Get out?”
“Just seeing you ruins my mood.” Her face paled, her voice flat. “Or should I leave? After all, you said people like me staying here would ruin the hospital’s reputation.”
With that, she threw off the quilt, propped herself up, and moved to get out of bed.
Song Ran vaguely sensed something was wrong with the person before her, but everything happened too quickly. Seeing Sang Wu about to leave, she immediately grabbed her wrist.
The height difference between them was striking.
When Song Ran grabbed Sang Wu, the latter seemed even smaller and more delicate. Yet that slender body held surprising strength. Sang Wu struggled fiercely to pry Song Ran’s hand off, her fingers turning white from the effort.
“Calm down and listen to me,” Song Ran urged.
“Let go of me,” Sang Wu’s voice trembled with barely concealed tears, her exposed wrist as pale and delicate as a section of fresh lotus root.
As they struggled, their hair became tangled. The golden curls clung to Song Ran’s dark, straight strands. As the natural-born Alpha, Song Ran quickly gained control, securing Sang Wu in her grasp.
“Song Ran, let go!”
Noticing the change in Sang Wu’s voice, Song Ran released her. Seizing the opportunity, the Omega scrambled toward the door, her figure illuminated by the sunlight streaming in, the soft light bathing her. For a moment, Song Ran felt as if the woman before her might vanish into thin air.
Just as Sang Wu reached the door, it slammed shut. Her pale, delicate feet pressed against the floor, her entire body trembling.
“Sang Wu,” Song Ran said, her voice low and hoarse. “I promise I won’t hurt you again. Don’t be afraid.”
Orange Blossoms bloomed silently outside, but Sang Wu remained oblivious, staring blankly at the door. She stood on tiptoe, straining to see something beyond.
But the pheromones inside her erupted like a tidal wave, flooding the entire hospital room with the overwhelming scent of orange blossoms. Before Song Ran could react, the person in front of her slowly closed their eyes, their limbs going limp as they collapsed backward.
