Transmigrated as the Vampire Alpha of the Omega Heroine - Chapter 50
“Lian Lian…” The alpha’s face was still being held in someone’s grasp, her words muffled yet clearly calling Jiang Nian’s name.
Jiang Nian turned her face away, refusing to look, which gave Gu Li an opportunity. She allowed her cheek to be pinched while pursing her small bird-like mouth to peck several kisses on Jiang Nian’s face.
“Won’t you keep me company?” Gu Li smeared kisses all over her left cheek before whispering this question by Jiang Nian’s ear.
She was met with a fierce glare from the omega: “No!”
So fierce…
“Really..?”
Ahem… Gu Wei, who had returned unnoticed, stood watching them from behind. “Aren’t you two hungry? Dinner’s ready.”
She pointed awkwardly at the dining table with prepared utensils, interrupting the young couple’s intimate moment before things could escalate further.
Ten days after recovering from her illness, Gu Li experienced her first rut. Unlike previous ruts accompanied by the strange illness’s body aches, this time she only felt the typical restless agitation common to all alphas before their cycles.
The sensation was both novel and uncomfortable, like a belated ceremony celebrating her becoming a true alpha.
Hormones surged uncontrollably from her fully developed alpha glands. The moment she stepped out of her room, the aggressive lavender scent pierced through her suppressant patch and assaulted Gu Wei at the breakfast table.
“Your rut’s here, Gu Li.” Covering her nose, Gu Wei quickly distanced herself.
Gu Li’s heightened senses caught the mild peach fragrance of Gu Wei’s omega pheromones, triggering her rut-induced craving. Wrestling between reason and desire, she gripped the table’s edge, using the cold surface to ground herself before staggering toward the isolation room.
Unlike omega heats that brought weakness, alpha ruts bred irritability and rage. Overwhelmed by these foreign emotions, Gu Li instinctively hurled a pillow across the room.
Surveying her surroundings with displeasure, she reluctantly injected the prepared suppressants. After administering the dose herself, her gaze fell wistfully on the stationery left from studying sessions with Jiang Nian, desperately seeking traces of the omega’s scent.
The self-printed test papers, barely a handful, were stacked into a makeshift hut to cradle her head. She buried her nose against Jiang Nian’s used pen.
While most alphas had omega-scented clothes for nesting or sweet, soft omegas to comfort them during ruts, she only had these pitiful test papers barely covering her head.
So unfair…
Tears streamed down her cheeks as the volatile emotions of her rut consumed her completely.
“Nian Nian…” She unconsciously murmured Jiang Nian’s name, but received no response in this solitary space.
The door to the isolation room opened abruptly, and Jiang Nian walked in, slightly out of breath, before quickly closing it behind her.
She had promised not to come, but she couldn’t resist. After Aunt Gu’s call, she found herself already on the way to Gu Li’s home before she even realized it.
The overwhelming lavender pheromones filling the room made her legs feel weak. She glanced at the alpha on the bed, who had buried her head entirely in a stack of test papers, then slowly took off her coat, intending to toss it aside.
But she was startled when the alpha suddenly bolted upright. Gu Li’s eyes were already a deep crimson, but now, after crying, even the corners of her eyes were tinged red.
“Give me that,” she growled.
“What?” Jiang Nian was taken aback by her tone and instinctively replied.
“The coat.”
The scent on the test papers was too faint, nowhere near as strong as the omega pheromones clinging to the garment in this person’s hands.
Jiang Nian handed it over, and the alpha yanked it roughly, wrapping it around her head before collapsing back onto the bed, curling up as tears fell.
The familiar, sweet scent enveloped her, soothing the hollow ache in her chest.
The scene was almost comical a living, breathing omega standing right there, yet she didn’t want her. Instead, she clung to a piece of clothing for comfort.
“Gu Li.” Jiang Nian’s clear voice rang out, startling the dazed alpha who had been hiding in the omega-scented fabric. She lifted her head, still wrapped in Jiang Nian’s coat, and tilted it slightly, as if doubting her own senses.
After all, just days ago, when she had begged Jiang Nian to stay with her during her rut, she had been firmly refused.
Back then, the little omega had been resolute, adamant about not engaging in another round of “academic discussions” with this infuriatingly clueless classmate Gu.
The alpha pheromones at the back of her neck had been barely subdued by suppressants, but nothing could curb an alpha’s instinctive craving for omega pheromones during this period. And in this confined space, a reckless omega had boldly peeled off her own suppressant patch.
Then, right in front of this alpha who had just entered her rut, she released an alluring, milky tea-like pheromone.
The astonishingly compatible scents of alpha and omega intertwined faster than their owners could react, filling the air with a floral yet cloyingly sweet milk tea fragrance.
Now fully aware of who had arrived, Gu Li felt the burning heat at the back of her neck fogging her mind. The omega stepping closer seemed like the lifeline that could pull her out of this torment.
The usual agony of these days had faded, replaced by an alpha’s instinct to mark her territory with pheromones, saturating the room with her scent.
And now, an intruder had stepped into her domain.
The lavender pheromones of the alpha guided the milky tea scent toward something even sweeter, dragging the omega into her own heat as well.
The water that had come to extinguish the flames was about to turn to steam.
The rich omega pheromones greatly soothed the alpha’s restless emotions, pulling her out of her nesting instincts.
She gently pecked Jiang Nian’s lips, swallowing the sweet milk tea fragrance.
“You’re here.” Satisfied with this small gain, her hands merely stroked Jiang Nian’s fluffy head in appeasement, afraid that repeating last time’s unrestrained behavior might anger the omega in her arms.
She maintained her lucidity during this sensitive period through these stolen pheromone-laced kisses, even as the surrounding atmosphere and her lover’s scent threatened to overwhelm her.
But the omega in her arms had no intention of stopping. Omegas were always more susceptible to heat cycles.
As an omega who’d always been dominated by this alpha, seeing her momentarily clear-headed, Jiang Nian avoided the appeasing gestures and continued kissing with glazed eyes, dragging Gu Li back into that intoxicated state.
Professor Jiang was indeed exceptionally gifted, her teaching talents surfaced unconsciously as she instructed her student Gu once more.
What began as rebellious provocation born of resentment instead ignited the already irrational alpha’s passion during her sensitive period.
The soft flesh at the nape suddenly seemed less tempting. Drawing from her newly acquired “lesson,” the alpha instinctively returned everything to Jiang Nian tenfold.
Mine.
Like an amateur musician, she produced discordant notes from the organ pipes.
Yet there remained basic rhythm, even if this composition lacked proper closure.
Reason finally regained dominance, halting the alpha’s actions. Staring dumbfounded at the thoroughly ravished kitten in her arms, she tenderly kissed away the tear tracks.
Pulling up the blanket to wrap the exhausted, sleeping Jiang Nian, she carefully kissed the omega’s soft scent gland, maintaining control through the lingering milk tea fragrance and the pain on her tongue.
Retreating to a corner, she quietly inhaled the mingled AO pheromones in the air, silently admonishing herself: Don’t go too far. Nian came willingly to spend your sensitive period together, you can’t mark her without consent again.
The little alpha curled in her corner, clutching the omega-scented jacket and test papers that had absorbed Jiang Nian’s fragrance from her arms, obediently building herself another nest.
Let’s add a sweet extra…
Jiang, who’d been working at her mentor’s studio since sophomore year, received her first paycheck and chose a Christmas limited-edition lipstick as this year’s gift for Gu Li.
A University was near A Art Institute. Donning the couple’s hoodie she’d bought with Gu Li, she tucked the lipstick into the hood and walked the familiar path to A University.
Gu Li waited early at their meeting spot. The young CEO, busy adjusting to university coursework while frequently traveling between cities, mostly wore white shirts and suit pants for quick suit changes.
Jiang Nian carefully gauged the weight in her hood before throwing herself into the alpha’s open arms.
“Guess where the gift I prepared for you is?” The kitten-like girl raised her head to look at Gu Li, speaking with a hint of mischief.
“Is it you?” Gu Li scanned her from head to toe but found no trace of a gift. Amused, he gently pinched her little nose.
Jiang Nian swayed her head slightly, revealing the lipstick packaging. She picked it up with her right hand, opened it, and lightly dabbed a bit on her upper lip before fully applying it to the alpha’s lips.
“If you like me as your gift, then I’ll just make a little adjustment.”
