This Omega Kisses Too Fiercely [Transmigration] - Chapter 5
Lu You sat at the head of the long dining table, chin resting on his hand, watching with boredom as the butler and maids bustled about preparing breakfast. He took the opportunity to mentally review the plot.
In the original novel, the character Song Xi didn’t have much screen time; the book mostly touched on how he and the protagonist first met. Both were foster children of the same “wicked maid,” but she treated Song Xi like her own son while subjecting Luo Xinghe to relentless abuse. Simply because she looked down on Luo Xinghe for being a “defective” Omega with biological anomalies, she would beat him frequently without provocation.
Song Xi, however, had a kind heart. He would secretly apply medicine to Luo Xinghe’s wounds and bring him food. He was even the one who helped Luo Xinghe escape.
Young Luo Xinghe was deeply grateful. Even after being sold to the Lu family, he stayed in contact with Song Xi. Later, when Song Xi mentioned wanting to go to school, Luo Xinghe had begged the original Lu You to pull strings and get him admitted.
A-Duo, Lu You thought, does this Song Xi know Luo Xinghe’s true identity?
He doesn’t, the system replied.
Then why did he choose to get close to the original Lu You?
When someone has a “love brain,” they do all sorts of stupid things. He did it to draw your attention away from Luo Xinghe. He’s in love with Luo Xinghe.
Lu You: ! So that’s how it is. An O-on-O crush.
It wasn’t surprising, though. Luo Xinghe was actually quite “Alpha-like” in his demeanor.
Lu You glanced at Luo Xinghe out of the corner of his eye. Luo Xinghe had been obedient, pinning back his long bangs to reveal his entire face. Although his features still had a refined, youthful delicacy—since he hadn’t fully turned “dark” yet and his hidden attributes hadn’t awakened—the Omega traits were still present. However, his sharp, handsome profile was already distinct. In time, he would undoubtedly be a presence more dazzling than any Alpha.
Combined with his tragic past, it made sense that the lovestruck Song Xi felt sorry for him and fell in love. Why else would he have been so good to Luo Xinghe as a child? Since he didn’t know about Luo Xinghe’s royal lineage, it had to be true love.
So, because Luo Xinghe loved the original Lu You, jealousy had driven the lovestruck Song Xi to approach the original Lu You to intervene.
Ah, complicated. Very complicated.
“Luo Xinghe, have you eaten?” Lu You asked, feigning indifference.
“I have eaten.”
Gurgle—
There is nothing more awkward than saying you’re full only to have your stomach growl. Hearing the sound, Luo Xinghe’s cheeks turned a faint shade of red.
Lu You, be mean! Mean! Mean! the system nagged.
Lu You acknowledged the reminder and looked at the butler. “You don’t need to stay here. Go tend to your other duties, Luo Xinghe will handle things here.”
“Yes, Master.” The butler checked his watch and exited the dining room with mechanical precision.
Once the butler was gone, Lu You patted the seat next to him. “Come here. Sit.”
Luo Xinghe was slightly stunned. He’s letting me sit?
“I don’t like any of this food. You eat it for me.” Lu You pushed the plates aside. Seeing Luo Xinghe standing there looking dazed, he added, “Still not sitting? Do you need me to carry you into the chair?”
Luo Xinghe sat down, his heart filled with suspicion.
“Eat,” Lu You urged, his eyes twinkling with a hint of a smile as he watched Luo Xinghe hesitate over a fork.
Luo Xinghe didn’t know what had gotten into Lu You today. He felt it couldn’t be this simple, so he stared intensely at the breakfast plates as if searching for poison.
“Yes, I poisoned it,” Lu You teased.
Luo Xinghe: “…” He knew this guy would never speak to him decently.
Just as the thought crossed his mind, he saw Lu You pick up a piece of bacon and toss it into his own mouth. Luo Xinghe immediately lunged forward, grabbing Lu You’s wrist with a look of panic. “What are you doing!”
Lu You chewed the meat, looking at him with amusement. He shook the hand Luo Xinghe was holding. “I say it and you believe it? You really are my obedient dog.”
If it weren’t for those words, the shaking of his hand would have looked almost like an act of coquetry. But this was Lu You’s style, crushing a person’s heart in the gentlest way possible.
Luo Xinghe’s expression froze, his eyes shimmering. He stared at Lu You without looking away.
So what should I do? he thought. How can I make Lu You belong to me entirely? This guy is too unruly, I can’t wait any longer.
He wanted Lu You to mark him, to fall for him completely, and then he would take him away.
He lowered his gaze. “Yes. I have always listened to you, Master. Always.”
If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have been hurt so deeply, deep enough to turn him into such a paranoid person, deep enough that he would fight with Song Xi over Lu You.
That Song Xi…
He saw him clearly now. If Song Xi hadn’t risked getting caught by that woman to secretly hand him a life-saving bun back then, he wouldn’t have felt indebted. He wouldn’t have agreed to Song Xi’s request to enter the school, and he wouldn’t have begged Lu You to make it happen.
He had dug his own grave.
The more he thought about it, the more resentful he felt. He felt foolish, yet the more he dwelled on it, the deeper he sank into an inescapable trap. His gaze fell on Lu You’s hand, which was still holding his own, his eyes darkening with hidden meaning.
“Then be good, and don’t get close to Song Xi anymore,” Lu You said. He decided he had to use Song Xi, the antagonist, to trigger Luo Xinghe’s “darkening” process. He couldn’t follow the original plot where the protagonist was cruel at first but folded as soon as Luo Xinghe released his pheromones. That simply wouldn’t do.
“Why?” Luo Xinghe’s grip on the fork tightened until his knuckles turned white. He locked eyes with Lu You.
“There is no ‘why.’ I just don’t want you near him, understand?” Lu You pushed the breakfast toward him and tilted his chin up slightly. “Eat up quickly. We have to go to school after this.”
“Master, he wants to kill you.”
Lu You arched an eyebrow and laughed. “That’s just his way of showing love. I don’t care.”
There was no “scumbag,” only a “bigger scumbag.”
He then watched as Luo Xinghe lowered his head and ate in silence. Oh? No reaction even to that?
Lu You, don’t soften your heart, the system urged. Keep tormenting him. Let’s see what Luo Xinghe is really after. You can find the answers to all your doubts from the original novel here.
Leave it to me!
Luo Xinghe kept his head down, eating the breakfast as if he were devouring Lu You himself.
One day, he thought, I will tie Lu You up in that room, on that bed upstairs, and do whatever I want. I’ll thoroughly shut that disobedient mouth of his.
Orpheus Alistair Noble High School.
Located on a mountainside where land was worth its weight in gold, the school featured Gothic architecture and offered an education fit for royalty. It was a place for the wealthy and the powerful.
Every morning, the entrance resembled a luxury car show. As doors opened, young men and women began their day of showing off, primarily the Omegas.
“Oh my god, I don’t understand why my dad bought me these shoes. They’re not cute at all!”
An Omega boy stepped out of his car and approached a wealthy friend, starting the day with a classic humble-brag.
“Really? I think they look great,” an Omega girl replied, naturally following the script.
The boy nodded with satisfaction. “I mean, they cost over a hundred thousand, though I don’t even like them that much.”
“Hey, Song Xi, do you think my shoes look good?”
Song Xi, who had been standing nearby with his head down, looked up and gave a perfunctory smile. “They’re nice. Very nice. You look good in anything.”
These shallow Omegas only know how to flaunt wealth, he thought. An Omega like my Luo Xinghe is the only one with real depth.
He looked toward the school gate. Thinking about how he had injured Lu You the day before, he regretted not stabbing deeper. The thought of Luo Xinghe liking someone like Lu You—liking him so humbly, staying by his side even after being insulted, made him furious.
Why did Lu You get to have Luo Xinghe’s love? What about him? He had helped Luo Xinghe since they were kids, ignoring his mother’s warnings just to be good to him. Wasn’t that love?
He never expected Luo Xinghe to turn against him just because he got close to Lu You. Did everything he had done before count for nothing?
Just then, a commotion broke out at the school gate.
“He’s here! He’s here! Our Prince Lu You is here!”
An Omega’s shriek triggered a surge in the crowd. The entrance became so congested that school security had to be called in to maintain order. It looked like a celebrity fan meeting.
Song Xi stood outside the crowd and rolled his eyes. He saw Alphas and Betas rushing over as well. That “showy peacock” Lu You really appealed to all three genders. It was a miracle his health held up.
Song Xi stood on his tiptoes, searching for a glimpse of Luo Xinghe.
Inside the car, Lu You watched the scene outside. Only now did he realize just how popular the “scumbag Lu You” actually was. The book mentioned that Lu You had a harem, and he even had Luo Xinghe help him “pick a card” each day to decide which Omega would accompany him.
The original owner really was trash.
Even most ABO stories wouldn’t dare write this; usually, Omegas are rare and precious characters. But in this author’s world, it was as if Lu You was the only Alpha that mattered. Every Omega revolved around him, and even the future “dark overlord” was infatuated with him.
Tsk… it was actually kind of a rush. Being an unrepentant scumbag had its perks.
He enjoyed having the butler open the door for him. Before stepping out, he straightened his sharp, expensive, custom platinum school uniform. With a smile, he stepped out of the car.
The moment his feet hit the ground, he heard heart-wrenching screams calling him “Prince.” He felt a bit embarrassed, but it was like experiencing the life of an A-list superstar. Honestly, he quite enjoyed it.
He raised his hand. Sure enough, everyone fell silent.
He nodded and smiled with satisfaction. “Good morning, my dears. Please stop shouting, it makes my heart ache for you. Now, please head to your classes in an orderly fashion, okay?”
The morning sun bathed Lu You in light, highlighting his mesmerizing features. His smile crinkled the corners of his beautiful “peach blossom” eyes. Every gesture sent the gathered students into a frenzy.
They were all wearing the same uniform, yet on him, it seemed to glow. Combined with his innocent, angelic face, his smile was simply impossible to resist.
Luo Xinghe’s gaze lingered darkly on Lu You’s profile. Smiling at those people again?
He made another mental note in his little ledger.
September 21st, sunny. The 2,091st time I’ve wanted to take Lu You down.
Soon, the crowd dispersed. Lu You, feeling satisfied with a reception greater than any performance he’d ever given, decided to continue his “death-seeking” provocations. He looked at Luo Xinghe. “Which Omega is accompanying me today?”
Luo Xinghe noted down the 2,091st time.
“Master Lu, it’s me.”
A familiar voice spoke from behind. Lu You turned and saw it was actually Song Xi. He narrowed his eyes with a half-smile. The antagonist had arrived, the one he had “saved.” This was going to be his most useful little assistant.
“Good morning, Xixi. Did you sleep well?”
He had to maintain the act. For the sake of the “dark overlord’s” rise, he had to endure this humiliation!
Song Xi looked at Lu You with surprise. Why is he smiling so gently at me today? He felt a surge of suspicion. After he had injured Lu You yesterday, shouldn’t Lu You be furious?
He caught sight of Luo Xinghe and was struck by how stunning he looked today. Why did he suddenly move his hair? Didn’t I tell him never to show his face?
No, he thought. For Luo Xinghe’s sake, I have to deal with this Lu You. It’s frustrating that he didn’t die!
He forced out some tears and walked to Lu You’s side with a look of fake sorrow. “Sniff… Master Lu, how could I possibly sleep well? I’m so full of regret. I spent the whole night wondering how I could love you so deeply yet hurt you so much. Does the wound still hurt? My heart hurts so much.”
He reached out and grabbed Lu You’s arm, acting like a fragile, delicate thing.
Lu You: He stubbornly maintained his graceful demeanor while looking at the “drama queen” Song Xi.
He caught a glimpse of Luo Xinghe’s face, which had turned a thunderous shade of green. Sigh, I just have to endure it. Stimulating the boss to grow up is more important.
He cooperatively patted Song Xi’s hand on his arm and gave him a doting smile. “Xixi, don’t cry. Seeing you like this breaks my heart. Your tears are like pearls, precious treasures. Don’t cry anymore. I don’t blame you for hurting me yesterday. ‘Discipline is love,’ I understand. Since you love me so much, how could I bear to scold you? Besides, I’m a strong Alpha. A little stab is nothing. It doesn’t hurt.”
Lu You almost believed his own lies, but he kept the smile on his face and finished his speech heroically.
Song Xi was stunned. What the hell? He’s forgiving me for a stabbing? On the rooftop yesterday, it hadn’t been like this at all. Lu You had told him to stop liking him. What was he playing at now? Was this some kind of scheme?
He looked at Lu You’s dazzling smile. It seemed he had to pursue him even harder. He wanted to see what kind of “broken charm” Lu You possessed to keep his Luo Xinghe so infatuated.
Luo Xinghe’s face was now as dark as it could possibly be. He’s letting Song Xi hold his arm and he’s not rejecting it?
