The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 7
Tonight, the bar was hosting a singles party, attracting quite a crowd. Inside, an alpha singer was belting out a high pitched breakup ballad; the heart wrenching sound made it hard not to feel deeply empathetic.
Outside the bar, it was quiet. Qin Huai leaned the back of her head against the rough wall, the darkness concealing her tightly closed eyes and the strained lines of her neck as she gasped for breath.
Only Shen Zhi could see it.
She reached out a hand and placed it on Qin Huai’s neck, the web of her thumb resting on the side, her fingertip beneath it touching the most vulnerable spot unique to an omega.
It wasn’t the rough texture she had imagined.
Shen Zhi could hardly believe that the spot always covered by an inhibitor patch was now completely smooth.
Her heart rate accelerated uncontrollably. She rubbed the spot with her fingertip, disbelieving.
If she wanted to, she could press the omega into any corner, then bite down on the most cherished gland, injecting her own pheromones into her body little by little, making her scent forever hers.
Just thinking about it made the blood in Shen Zhi’s body surge. She pressed down hard with her fingertip, and the area of the scent gland indented slightly.
Just like that, the omega who had been lightly dozing with her eyes closed suddenly snapped them open, her upturned eyelashes casting a shallow grey shadow on her lower eyelid.
It was sudden.
Shen Zhi’s fingers, which were pressing on the omega’s scent gland, stiffened, like a child caught doing something naughty, scrambling all her brain cells to come up with an excuse.
The video incident had already left Qin Huai with a bad enough impression; if she messed up again this time, she wouldn’t even need to bother pursuing her.
Shen Zhi quickly pulled her hand away, trying to make her curved-mouth expression look more believable for what she was about to say. “Senior, I just wanted to help you”
Before she could finish the words ‘go in,’ Shen Zhi felt a sudden tightness around her waist, and a light orange scent wafted over her nose, while something warm and wet touched her collarbone.
Her arms were suspended in the air. She was holding the omega who had appeared countless times in her dreams in an extremely awkward embrace.
“Senior, you” The blood in her body rushed to her head. For a moment, Shen Zhi didn’t know what to say.
The omega in her arms had hers wrapped around her neck, her shallow breathing hitting the hollow of her collarbone.
Qin Huai was kissing her collarbone.
Just this realization was enough to make her mind explode with fireworks. She dared not move, fearing this burst of fireworks would vanish.
This posture lasted for about two minutes before the omega’s lips left her collarbone. Her arms were still wrapped around the other person’s neck. She lifted her eyes and met the other’s gaze directly, the lift at the corner of her eyes resembling a butterfly. “Jiejie (Older sister), why are you here?”
In that moment, Shen Zhi’s mind was blank.
Inside the bar, Zhang Mo returned from dancing to find her friend gone. As she looked around, she made a phone call.
The other end must have been busy, as the phone rang several times before being answered.
Zhang Mo sat on the sofa, sipping her wine cup intermittently. “Where did you go?”
“Got something on.” The phone must have been held far away, as Shen Zhi’s voice sounded a bit muffled. “You go back on your own.”
“Jiejie, you’re hurting me.”
Zhang Mo, who was just taking a gulp of wine, suddenly heard a soft voice. The wine didn’t make it to her stomach, catching in her throat, and she was momentarily speechless.
Half an hour ago, Shen Zhi found a hotel and helped Qin Huai onto the white-sheeted bed. She had been focused on carrying the omega in and hadn’t turned on the lights. When she inserted the room key card, her elbow casually brushed the switch on the wall. The light that came on was the one above the bathroom door, its faint glow extending from the entrance to the head of the bed, providing little illumination.
The omega hadn’t made any fuss along the way, and when she was placed on the bed, she stared straight at Shen Zhi, her arm wrapped around the other’s neck, not intending to let go at all.
Shen Zhi hadn’t expected Qin Huai to be so clingy when drunk. She lowered her voice to coax her, “Be good, let go first. I’ll take off your shoes so you can be more comfortable.”
How could a person who had lost their senses understand?
Qin Huai lowered her eyelashes, casting a small shadow. She furrowed her brow, trying hard to process the alpha’s words. After a moment, her eyes widened suddenly, and she exerted force with her wrist, saying unhappily, “No.”
The distance closed even more.
Shen Zhi’s mouth was almost touching her nose tip. In the dim light, Qin Huai’s eyes were very pure, even a little innocent, looking straight at her. The omega was only wearing a crew-neck sweater, and was now lying quietly beneath her, a thin line of collarbone reflecting a faint light.
Shen Zhi was entranced. Her lips involuntarily moved toward Qin Huai’s eyes.
The distance closed inch by inch.
Shen Zhi was thinking, She’s drunk anyway, there’s no harm in taking a little advantage.
Just as her lips were about to land on Qin Huai’s thin eyelids, the phone in her pocket rang, entirely inappropriately.
Shen Zhi: “……”
The confusing atmosphere was broken.
Shen Zhi closed her eyes and rested for a moment, then broke free from Qin Huai’s arm constraint and sat up straight. She answered the phone, “I’m busy.”
Assuming Shen Zhi was leaving, Qin Huai immediately sat up when she did, wrapped her arm around the alpha’s narrow waist, and pressed her face against Shen Zhi’s back.
The hotel environment easily breaks down a person’s defenses, leading the alpha to think purely based on instinct.
Shen Zhi lowered her eyes to look at the interlaced fingers in front of her. They were firmly clasped and not easily separated, but she still used the hand not holding the phone to try and loosen them. The omega behind her was unwilling and clung even tighter. Shen Zhi accidentally let her fingernail scratch her skin.
“Jiejie, you’re hurting me.” Qin Huai’s voice sounded almost like she was about to cry.
Shen Zhi looked down at the hands. Her fingertips were engorged with blood, and there were a few white scratches on her wrist marks she had accidentally caused. The alpha gently covered them with her own palm, rubbing lightly and slowly, feeling a pang of heartache.
Zhang Mo hadn’t expected this scene on Shen Zhi’s end. Assuming she had interrupted something good, she didn’t even ask if Shen Zhi was coming back and just hung up the phone.
The phone beeped twice.
Shen Zhi turned her head slightly to look at the omega clinging to her back. She spoke softly and slowly, in a negotiating tone, “What should I do? My innocence has been ruined by you.”
Qin Huai didn’t understand what Shen Zhi was saying and could only respond with a smile.
Shen Zhi hooked her lips and also smiled faintly before drawing a conclusion, “Fine, you have to take responsibility for me.”
Receiving the signal that Shen Zhi wouldn’t leave, the omega finally relaxed her guard and lay quietly on the bed, waiting for Shen Zhi to wipe her face with a towel. The sound of running water in the bathroom was intermittent. Qin Huai’s eyelashes fluttered, and she gently closed her eyes.
When Shen Zhi came out, the person on the bed was already asleep. She resignedly held the towel and walked to the bedside. The warm towel felt very comfortable on Qin Huai’s face. The alpha finally stopped suppressing her instincts, and her pheromones slowly released outward, centered on the omega. Her movements were tender and lingering, carrying an indescribable ambiguity.
“You’re not allowed to drink anywhere except in front of me from now on,” the alpha stared at Qin Huai’s cheek, not taking her eyes off it for a moment. After saying this, she felt it wasn’t enough and slowly added, “Otherwise, I’ll take you right away.”
The alpha’s pheromones in the room were mild and rich, but they carried a hint of spiciness when her emotions fluctuated.
It was the scent of sandalwood.
Shen Zhi allowed the pheromones to permeate the room. The towel moved from Qin Huai’s face down to her neck, but paused when it reached the vicinity of the scent gland.
The omega didn’t have the expected pungent smell of alcohol instead, there was an increasing amount of sweet, orange scent.
The two scents intertwined, inseparable.
