The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 6
Shen Zhi stood where she was, her body burning with heat.
Since her differentiation in junior high, the snacks in her desk drawer had never stopped coming whether they were sickly sweet cakes or delicate pink love letters. She had always handled them with ease, never letting those omegas feel the slightest embarrassment.
But now she was unusually nervous. This strange emotion hadn’t surfaced in her for a long time, leaving her feeling somewhat at a loss.
A cool breeze drifted in through the crack in the door, making Qin Huai’s body stiffen slightly.
If it weren’t for those messy videos, Shen Zhi would just be an ordinary student. As a teaching assistant senior, adding her contact information would be a matter of course, whether for convenience or other reasons.
But that matter hadn’t ended yet, and their relationship of the three of them was described as confusing on the forum. Today, merely collecting books with Shen Zhi had resulted in many omegas taking photos with their phones on the way.
She disliked this feeling of being scrutinized by others.
Nor did she want to be associated with Shen Zhi or Lin Qiu in any way.
Qin Huai stood still without turning around, her gaze fixed on the outside through the open crack. The white floor of the corridor was spotless. Her voice was equally devoid of any emotion, “No need. We won’t have any further interaction.”
Shen Zhi placed the books back in the counselor’s office. On her way back to the dorm, Qin Huai’s words kept echoing in her ears.
Around six o’clock in the afternoon, the sky had already turned deep blue.
Shen Zhi stood on the rooftop of Hengjiu Building, looking down at the people on the sports field who looked as tiny as ants. The evening wind was very cold, making her nose red and her hair messy.
She remembered a year ago, at the same location, Qin Huai was standing on the roof, while she could only watch from afar outside the iron fence.
How could there be no interaction?
The alpha’s gaze shifted from the sports field to the air, her eyes no longer the familiar gentleness, but turning into a deep, bottomless ocean. Her facial features naturally kept people at a distance; only when the dimples appeared when she smiled would she narrow the gap between herself and others.
In the semi-dark light, Shen Zhi curled her lips and murmured a few words to herself.
The alpha’s voice was very soft, carried by the wind to a far-off place.
She said, “Qin Huai, whether we have interaction or not, you don’t get to decide.”
After leaving Hengjiu Building, before she even reached the dorm entrance, Zhang Mo’s call came in.
The chill on Shen Zhi’s body hadn’t dissipated, and her voice was a little low when she spoke, “What’s wrong?”
After distributing the books, Zhang Mo had originally planned to return with Shen Zhi. She waited at the door for ten minutes, didn’t see her, and instead saw Shen Zhi’s worthless appearance hovering around Qin Huai. She had no choice but to pack up and return first.
She was conscious of not being a third wheel, and at the same time, she had absolute confidence in her friend. She opened her mouth and asked, “How far have you progressed with your goddess?”
Shen Zhi: “…”
The other end of the phone was silent. Zhang Mo, while changing her shoes, held her phone between her ear and shoulder and asked, “Are you not speaking because you’ve gotten together?”
Shen Zhi stood in the cold wind, answering weakly, “What nonsense are you talking about?”
“Aren’t I thinking of you?” After changing her shoes, Zhang Mo casually pulled up a chair and sat down. “With how aggressive you get during your heat, you really need to find an omega to properly soothe you.”
“Mind your own business,” Shen Zhi cursed, abruptly ending the topic, “Just get to the point if you called.”
“Jisen’s birthday, you haven’t forgotten, have you?” Zhang Mo asked.
“Haven’t forgotten.” Shen Zhi asked, “Is her birthday today?”
Zhang Mo: “It is today. The location has been sent to me. Hurry back and change clothes.”
“Got it.” Shen Zhi hung up the phone and rushed back to the dorm.
Jisen, Shen Zhi, and Zhang Mo had known each other since high school. The three were all alphas and became familiar through playing games together. When filling out university applications, the three originally planned to go to the same school, but Jisen’s chosen major wasn’t Jiangcheng University’s strength, so she ultimately chose Linzhou University, which was half a city away.
When Shen Zhi and Zhang Mo arrived, Jisen had already ordered a table full of drinks and was dancing to the DJ at the front. The lights in the bar were flashing and bright, and the dance floor was full of lightly-dressed alphas and omegas.
Shen Zhi didn’t like coming to places like this. She felt it was too noisy, and she’d rather go home and sleep. But she couldn’t dismiss her friend’s request, so she chose an inconspicuous corner to play on her phone.
Tired from dancing, Jisen ran to the booth, gulped down a mouthful of wine, and saw Shen Zhi sitting there properly. She leaned over and asked, “Don’t want to dance?”
There were a lot of people on the dance floor, and Jisen had picked up the scent of some omega’s pheromones, which made Shen Zhi frown. She furrowed her brow and pulled the two of them further apart, covering her nose, “Stay away from me.”
Jisen was amused by her avoidant attitude. Just as Zhang Mo arrived, Jisen pulled her aside and asked, “Is she really keeping herself pure for Qin Huai?”
The name Qin Huai was not unfamiliar to Jisen.
Shen Zhi looked up and glanced at her coldly, answering the question for Zhang Mo, “Chastity is an alpha’s best dowry.”
Jisen laughed, draping an arm over the back of Shen Zhi’s sofa, and teased, “If you succeed in chasing her, are you planning to just stare at each other during her heat? If you ask me, you need to gain some experience now.”
“Get lost.” Shen Zhi glared at her, her expression extremely foul, “Be careful or I’ll dump you on the street tonight.”
Jisen raised her hands in surrender and distanced herself from this “plague god.”
The bar was scattered and chaotic. No matter which corner she hid in, as long as she was good-looking, she would always be noticed. Shen Zhi had already been hit on ten times by omegas, and the drinks on the table were constantly being refilled, all sent by others.
These omegas, whether intentionally or unintentionally, carried a heavy perfume scent and would release a little pheromone when approaching Shen Zhi.
Shen Zhi felt dizzy from the smell and turned to go outside for some cool air.
Only after closing the bar door did Shen Zhi manage to recover. She walked alone to the curb. The dim yellow streetlight was ambiguous, coating the surrounding vehicles with a layer of faint gold.
She stood outside quietly for ten minutes. Just as she was about to go back, a faint muffled groan came from the corner of the bar entrance.
The voice was cool and slightly hoarse, carrying an indescribable allure.
Shen Zhi turned to look at the spot, her body trembling slightly.
The person who had claimed there would be no interaction between them during the day was now leaning in the corner, wearing a white sweater, exposing a beautifully contoured jawline.
Shen Zhi walked through the dark hallway and stopped in front of Qin Huai. As the distance closed, what was vaguely silhouetted before was now clearly visible.
Those thin lips, usually perpetually cold and used to briefly uttering a few words, were now full and lustrous. A tiny little pearl of a lip bead sat between her lips, like a dark red cherry, tempting one to bite it off in one go.
Shen Zhi’s throat moved ever so slightly. She lifted her hand in a somewhat mesmerized motion, but just as it was about to touch, she suddenly cleared her head.
Darkness was the best place to hide.
Shen Zhi smiled faintly, her gaze fixed only on Qin Huai’s face, pure and persistent, like a child in a store who sees something they can’t take their eyes off.
She murmured, her tone a little lost, “How can there be no interaction?”
“Clearly, you’re the one who keeps actively delivering yourself to my doorstep.”
