- The Wealthy Old Man Carried a Child After His Divorce
- Chapter 4 - I Have Had Enough of You!
Fang Xu’s face was quite aggressive. At least, Bai Yifeng could not handle it for long. He turned his face away and said in a low voice, “You know that I have not divorced your brother yet. Is this not a bit dishonest of you?”
“My brother has never touched you.” Fang Xu stared at Bai Yifeng’s neck, where a bite mark he had left remained. This gave him a sense of extreme internal satisfaction; Bai Yifeng belonged to him.
Bai Yifeng certainly knew that Fang Yang had never touched him. Before last night, whether before or after his transmigration, he had been a virgin. Fang Yang only liked Omegas and would never touch a Beta like him.
“Your first time was mine, and my first time was yours.” Fang Xu rubbed his face against Bai Yifeng’s leg and said in an undeniable tone, “You are mine, and I am yours. You cannot reject me.”
Bai Yifeng: “…”
Was he transitioning from acting spoiled to making threats?
“I am so much older than you.”
“You are only thirty-six, and I am only twenty-one. We are a perfect match.” Fang Xu blinked his eyes. Bai Yifeng truly could not stand such a large man lying on his lap saying such things. He tried to push Fang Xu away, but unexpectedly, the younger man extended the tip of his tongue and licked his fingertip.
The Beta froze and quickly pulled his hand back. Fang Xu chased after it, pinning Bai Yifeng’s hand under his cheek. “Brother Feng, have you thought about what you will do after you divorce my brother?”
Before Bai Yifeng could speak, Fang Xu continued, “My brother is very perverse. Even if he does not like you, or even if he hates you, you are still his in name. He will make things difficult for you in all sorts of ways because you are the first person to dump him. He will not let you go.”
Bai Yifeng had indeed not thought about this. He had never even met Fang Yang, so how could he know his personality? However, what Fang Xu said made sense. What if he was telling the truth? He did not want to be reborn only to become a wanted criminal.
Seeing the expression on Bai Yifeng’s face soften as he considered the situation, Fang Xu struck while the iron was hot. “I usually have to be in the military and do not live here often. You can stay here. My brother would never imagine that I would hide you in my home. What do you think?”
Bai Yifeng was faced with two choices. He could either refuse Fang Xu’s proposal and face various difficulties from an enraged Fang Yang, leading a restless life, or he could accept Fang Xu’s proposal and have a peaceful place to stay where no one would disturb him. Any fool would know which to choose.
However, Bai Yifeng did not want to have a complicated relationship with Fang Xu either. They were brothers from the same root; how different could they really be? He looked at Fang Xu, who was lying on his lap and quietly watching him. Ultimately, he chose to compromise for the time being. He did not know enough about this world yet. Having a space that was not so oppressive would be best for processing everything. If he stayed in a place like the Fang family ancestral home for too long, he would definitely develop problems. He did not want to contract a mental illness before his new life had even truly begun.
“I will stay here.” Before Bai Yifeng could finish his sentence, Fang Xu sat up excitedly and grabbed both of Bai Yifeng’s knees. “Really?”
His palms were burning hot. Bai Yifeng’s body felt cold, and being touched like that made him feel as though he were being scalded. The sensation was familiar; Bai Yifeng’s face grew hot as he remembered last night with Fang Xu.
Bai Yifeng nodded. “Really. But you must also promise to help me resolve the divorce.”
Fang Xu stood up and kissed him twice on the lips. Bai Yifeng was startled by the soft, warm sensation. Fang Xu then sat back down at the dining table and began eating his meal seriously. Looking at the gradually recovering Bai Yifeng, Fang Xu wanted to say something, but he remembered Bai Yifeng told him not to talk while eating. Consequently, he waited until he finished his meal to speak. “Brother Feng, do not worry. I will definitely complete the mission.”
I will definitely snatch you away from Fang Yang.
As Fang Xu thought this, he suddenly heard Bai Yifeng say, “I want to go with you.”
“Brother Feng.”
“Fang Yang must see me leave.” Bai Yifeng arranged the bowls and chopsticks neatly. “Listen to me. You helped me, and I do not want you to be implicated.”
At the Fang family ancestral home, Fang Yang was losing his temper at the documents scattered across the coffee table. As Fang Xu had expected, the temper of the current head of the Fang family was not to be underestimated. Louis stood to the side with an expressionless face. The bandage was still on his cheek, but Fang Yang was so angry that he did not notice anything unusual. For a butler, having a facial injury was considered unsuitable for work, at least within the Fang family.
Ye Lang sat not far from Fang Yang. He had not yet figured out exactly what had happened, but since he had not seen Bai Yifeng yet, he suspected his plan had succeeded. Fang Yang’s anger likely concerned the documents in front of him.
“I truly do not know which primitive person is still using such ancient relics in this day and age,” Ye Lang complained internally. Then he heard Fang Yang ask, “Did the surveillance fail to find where he is as well?”
Ye Lang looked at Louis, who lowered his eyes. “Yes. The surveillance blind spots are also guarded, and no one saw where Mr. Bai went.”
“I gave him the right to come and go freely! Not to play a vanishing act!” Fang Yang slammed his hand onto the coffee table. The table shook violently and two cracks appeared. Louis glanced at it and looked away. “Eldest Young Master, be careful with your hand.”
“Did you help him print these?”
“Mr. Bai printed them himself. He did not tell me what he was printing,” Louis explained dutifully. The next second, Fang Yang threw the documents at his face. The edges of the paper were sharp; although they did not cut Louis’s face, they knocked the bandage off.
The documents fluttered to the floor. Louis looked down and saw the blood-stained bandage land on the words “Divorce Agreement.” His pupils contracted. He clearly had not expected Bai Yifeng to be so bold. “Eldest Young Master, I.”
“Send people out to find him and bring him back,” Fang Yang said, taking a deep breath. “I will let him know what happens when someone defies me.”
Ye Lang hesitated to speak but ultimately remained silent. To Fang Yang, nothing was more important than his reputation. Even if Bai Yifeng was just a Beta, he represented the fact that Fang Yang was a man of his word; even after marrying a Beta, he had provided for him. If Bai Yifeng ran away now, what would outsiders think of Fang Yang?
Ye Lang could only pray in his heart that Bai Yifeng had died somewhere and would never appear again. Louis accepted the order and was about to go out to arrange a search. They had already searched all night with no results, and today would likely be the same.
Just as he reached the door, he collided with someone coming in. “Second Young Master?”
“Louis, where is my brother?” Fang Xu looked over Louis’s shoulder and made eye contact with Fang Yang. The latter stood up and wiped his face. “Xiao Xu, why are you here?”
“Big brother, what are you doing? Oh, by the way, I ran into my sister-in-law on the road, so I brought him back with me,” Fang Xu said, following the prearranged explanation. He stepped aside to reveal the unharmed Bai Yifeng behind him.
When Fang Yang saw Bai Yifeng, his anger flared up again. He stepped forward and grabbed him. “Where did you go?!”
Bai Yifeng was stunned. Did Fang Xu not say he had called Fang Yang?
“Big brother, I sent you a message. Did you not receive it?” Fang Xu was also stunned. He had sent the message to Fang Yang when he left this morning, telling him that Bai Yifeng was with him, as he did not want Fang Yang to take things too far.
Fang Yang looked at Ye Lang instead. The latter acted as if nothing were wrong and took Fang Yang’s Intellectual Brain bracelet out of his own bag. “I did not see any messages.”
Fang Xu sneered and snatched the bracelet from Ye Lang’s hand. When he opened it, he saw the message he had sent, but no reply from Fang Yang.
“You deleted it quite quickly,” Fang Xu whispered. Ye Lang lowered his head. “I do not know what the Second Young Master is talking about.”
Ye Lang played dumb, but Fang Xu knew that Ye Lang was the person who had stayed by Fang Yang’s side the longest. He could not destroy their relationship right now, or there was no telling how crazy Fang Yang would become.
“What exactly is going on?” Fang Yang asked gloomily. Fang Xu swung the bracelet and tossed it back to him from a distance, smiling. “It might have been on silent. Perhaps you did not hear it, big brother.”
“I am not asking you; I am asking him.” Fang Yang looked at the struggling Bai Yifeng. “What kind of madness is this? And what is the meaning of that document?!”
“It is all there in black and white.” Bai Yifeng felt some pain from being pulled. To prevent Fang Yang from seeing the marks on his body, he had specifically changed into new, high-collared, long-sleeved clothes that Fang Xu had bought but never worn. Since Fang Xu was an Alpha, the new clothes would not have his pheromones. The high collar and long sleeves also hid the marks on his body.
Since Fang Xu had helped him, he also wanted to keep Fang Xu out of this mess. Bai Yifeng said each word clearly, “I want a divorce.”
Fang Yang was furious to the extreme. He raised his hand to strike, but Fang Xu grabbed it in mid-air. “Big brother, regardless of the situation, you cannot hit people.”
“Let go.”
“If someone happens to photograph the sister-in-law being injured, people will talk about you.” Fang Xu did not let go. Hearing these words, Fang Yang dropped his hand and released Bai Yifeng. He still repeated the same question: “What madness are you caught in?”
“I am not mad. I just feel it is not worth it.” Bai Yifeng straightened his clothes and tried to keep his voice calm. He had been fine while sitting in the car, but being pulled around by Fang Yang made a certain part of his body throb with pain, and he was struggling to stand firm. “You do not lack for my company. Why spend extra money to keep me here?”
“Big brother, listen to me,” Fang Xu spoke up. “Let him go. It is better for you and for Ye Lang. Have you not wanted to marry him into the family for a long time?”
Ye Lang was stunned. He had not expected to be mentioned. He and Fang Yang only had a casual relationship because he was clean and an Omega who suited Fang Yang’s taste. Although Fang Yang had never marked him, he had indeed said such things to him. Otherwise, Ye Lang would not have been so obsessed with Bai Yifeng’s position.
“Impossible.”
“Fang Yang, I am tired.” Bai Yifeng suddenly laughed. It was the first time he realized he could act so well. His face was pale as he spoke. “I have had enough of this life.”
Fang Yang’s face turned various shades of anger. Finally, he spoke harshly: “I will wait for the day you beg me to let you come back. Louis, bring a pen.”
Louis lowered his head and picked up the scattered documents. After organizing them, he handed the one requiring a signature to Fang Yang. The latter signed his name with a flourish. He was about to throw it at Bai Yifeng, but Fang Xu intercepted it. “Do not make Louis pick it up again.”
He handed one copy of the divorce agreement to Fang Yang and the other to Bai Yifeng. “Press your thumbprints.”
Fang Yang was nearly bursting with rage. He activated his bracelet, pulled up the digital agreement, and pressed his fingerprint onto the holographic interface. Bai Yifeng did the same. With a ding, both felt a slight sting in their hands. This meant the Interstellar General Government had officially approved the agreement.
“Get out! Get out of here!” Fang Yang pointed toward the door. Bai Yifeng did not linger and quietly left the Fang family ancestral home.
Once he was certain he was outside the surveillance range of the ancestral home, Bai Yifeng finally could not hold on any longer. He leaned against the roadside railing, silently cursing Fang Xu in his mind. Even if he had been drugged, why did the man have to exhaust him so many times?
After a long time, Bai Yifeng took a deep breath and prepared to keep walking. To avoid suspicion, Fang Xu had parked the car at a distance. He still had to take Fang Xu’s car back to the safe house.
Just as he stood up, his vision suddenly went black. Before he could lean back, someone picked him up in a bridal carry. “Brother Feng, are you alright? I will take you back right now!”
That was the last sentence Bai Yifeng heard before he fainted.
