She was practically throwing money down the hallway, treating the entire floor to drinks and opening bottle after bottle of the good stuff. Stumbling through the corridor in a drunken haze, she collided with a disoriented Song Yi.
And then, it happened. Song Yi’s long-overdue heat hit like a freight train. Her pheromones exploded. In a blur of bad timing and chemical attraction, the two of them ended up in a messy, chaotic entanglement.
The next morning, Song Yi hauled herself out of bed, nursing a sore waist while the culprit was still sound asleep. With a well-placed kick, she sent Shen Yu flying off the bed and made a graceful exit.
Everything was fine, until a month later on the set of a new drama. Song Yi stared in horror at her co-lead, Shen Yu, as her stomach suddenly did a violent somersault.

The Chronicles of Shen Yu’s “Growth”
Phase 1: Denial
When Song Yi sat her down to lay the cards on the table:
Shen Yu: “Impossible! You and me? Was I blind? I’d sleep with anyone before I’d sleep with you!”
Slap—
Shen Yu spent the next three days filming exclusively with the left side of her face.
Phase 2: Bargaining
When Song Yi finally made time to head to the hospital alone:
Shen Yu: “Wait, just think about it! Every soul has a right to enter this world… If nothing else, look, just for my sake… keep the baby?”
Shen Yu then pinned a post to the top of her official Weibo for three days straight: “I am a complete idiot.”
Phase 3: Acceptance
When Shen Yu finally shamelessly moved into Song Yi’s house:
Shen Yu: “Hehe… Wifey… Hehe… Give me a hug, Wifey…”
She was promptly handed a script and shoved out the door to go earn money for the family.
…
Ten years ago:
Song Yi’s parents patted Shen Yu’s hand, speaking with heartfelt gravity: “Our Yi-yi is straightforward and a bit stubborn. Please, look after her.”
Shen Yu thumped her chest and promised she would.
Ten years later:
Shen Yu is scurrying around the Song household in a panic while Song Yi tries to hold back her furious parents.
The Parents: “We asked you to look after her, and this is how you do it?!”
