The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 5
Ji Cenzhou turned his head and saw that the newcomer was Liu Qi. He felt an immense headache coming on.
Liu Qi’s harsh gaze swept over Ji Cenzhou with a look of pure disdain, as if he were looking at trash. He completely ignored Ji Cenzhou and turned to Gu Lin. “What happened here?”
Gu Lin’s acting was impeccable. He lowered his head and spoke with a hint of grievance. “I came here to use the restroom. I happened to have a small misunderstanding with Ji Cenzhou previously, so he blocked my path and started a fight.” Gu Lin pointed to the Beta still crouching on the floor with a persistent nosebleed. “My friend tried to shield me and ended up getting hit.”
When Liu Qi saw the blood covering the Beta’s face, his eyes sharpened instantly. Before he could begin his tirade, Ji Cenzhou spoke up first. “Teacher, do you really believe what Gu Lin is saying? They are one Omega and three Betas. Would I really be stupid enough to pick a fight with them on purpose?”
Liu Qi paused and turned toward Gu Lin, who looked momentarily guilty. Although Liu Qi saw the expression, he still insisted, “Gu Lin is a student in my class. He is an excellent student who ranked in the top one hundred of the grade during the final exams last year. Why would such a good student go out of his way to cause trouble for you? Instead of reflecting on your own behavior, you are slandering others.”
Ji Cenzhou realized that Liu Qi was incredibly protective of his own and only cared about academic performance. To Liu Qi, high grades meant a good student and low grades meant a bad student. He did not care about character at all.
“Teacher, I tried to reason with them at first, but they would not listen. They were the ones who attacked first.”
“Even if Gu Lin and his friends started it,” Liu Qi interrupted sharply, “it takes two to tango. Gu Lin would not bother you for no reason. There are so many people in this school. Why would he target you specifically and not anyone else? There must be something wrong with you. No wonder your grades are so poor. When a problem arises, you blame others instead of reflecting on yourself.”
Liu Qi continued, “If you do not repent right now, I will take you to the Dean’s office. A violent brawl is enough to have you expelled. Keeping a student like you is a waste of school resources. You would be better off entering society early to do manual labor. At least that would be a contribution.”
Ji Cenzhou was stunned by Liu Qi’s logic. What had he done wrong? Did he ask Wan Xu to harass him? Did he ask Wan Xu to spread rumors that made Gu Lin jealous? Did he ask Gu Lin to bring a group of people to corner him?
“Then you tell me what I should have done, Teacher. Three people were about to use violence against me. Was I supposed to just stand there and take it?”
Being talked back to made Liu Qi even angrier. “Regardless, using violence is wrong!”
“It was self defense! Your student used violence first. Why are you not disciplining him?” Ji Cenzhou looked at Liu Qi as if he were an idiot.
“My student would never use violence!” Liu Qi backtracked, suddenly refusing to acknowledge the facts. “Gu Lin, tell me, did you guys start it?”
Gu Lin lied without even blinking. “No, we did not. Ji Cenzhou suddenly threw a punch at us.”
“Did you hear that? My student did not start it,” Liu Qi said sternly.
Ji Cenzhou let out a frustrated laugh. To maintain a final shred of respect for a teacher, he did not finish his sentence. He pointed to the security camera in the hallway. “If this is how it is, let us check the footage. Even if the camera cannot see this specific spot, I remember leaning out of the restroom while dodging earlier. While it might not show the whole process, it will clearly show who made the first move.”
Gu Lin’s face turned deathly pale. He whispered, “Teacher Liu.”
Liu Qi looked between the students and spoke to Ji Cenzhou with annoyance. “Do you think checking surveillance does not take time? How can you have the face to let the school waste time and energy on you? We will drop this matter for today. Go back and reflect on your actions. Write a five thousand word self reflection report and submit it!”
“Do not stop there, Teacher. Did you not say you wanted to take me to the Dean’s office? Let’s go. I cannot wait.”
Liu Qi did not expect Ji Cenzhou to be so bold as to stand his ground. He said huffily, “Ji Cenzhou, are you refusing to listen to me now?”
Ji Cenzhou thought to himself that Liu Qi really thought too highly of himself. How could someone like this be in such a noble profession as teaching? Ji Cenzhou clearly had more to say, but Liu Qi shouted at him to be quiet. He then led Gu Lin and the three Betas away without looking back, leaving Ji Cenzhou with a final warning. “You had better pray your classmate is okay, or I will not let you off easily!”
Ji Cenzhou’s face darkened with rage. He kicked the wall nearby and headed back.
Bai Yu had been waiting for a long time. Ji Cenzhou only returned right as class was about to end, looking extremely grim. Bai Yu did not dare to make a sound. They spent the rest of the period in silence. Once Ji Cenzhou’s expression softened slightly, Bai Yu finally asked if something had happened.
Ji Cenzhou did not want to burden Bai Yu with such an annoying story. He shook his head and gave a dismissive answer. Bai Yu did not believe him and asked several more times. Eventually, Ji Cenzhou asked with some impatience, “Do you know Wan Xu?”
“Who?” Bai Yu thought for a moment. “I do not know him.”
Ji Cenzhou frowned. “If you do not know him, why are you asking?”
“I am asking because I saw you were in a bad mood and I was worried,” Bai Yu replied.
Ji Cenzhou’s expression improved significantly upon hearing that. He did not want to take his anger out on others, but he was in a foul mood and had not adjusted his tone properly. He reached out and patted Bai Yu’s head. “Alright, thank you. Do you have a phone?”
Wan Xu was in Class 4. On Friday afternoons, Class 4 and Class 10 had Physical Education at the same time. Since school ended right after, everyone brought their backpacks to class.
Ji Cenzhou looked for Wan Xu among the crowd and finally spotted him in a corner of the playground with several other boys. He walked over and saw they were huddled together smoking.
“Wan Xu, come with me for a moment,” Ji Cenzhou said.
The group of boys turned around. They saw a fair skinned, cute Omega standing behind them. His eyes looked as innocent as a deer’s. The boys whistled, looking at Wan Xu with envy. Wan Xu felt quite proud under their gaze. He stepped out and asked, “Are you looking for me?”
Ji Cenzhou ignored the other boys. “Can you come with me?”
The boys in the back began to jeer. Wan Xu suppressed a smile and tried to act cool. “Sure.”
Ji Cenzhou gave him a fake smile and turned to walk away. Wan Xu gave his friends a boastful look and followed. Along the way, Wan Xu tried to chat, but Ji Cenzhou ignored him. As they headed toward a more secluded area, Wan Xu watched Ji Cenzhou’s back with a knowing expression. He assumed this Omega was throwing himself at him.
He was very confident in his charm. He had good looks, a wealthy family, and decent grades. Combined with his flirting skills, he believed no one could resist him. When Ji Cenzhou stopped and turned to smile at him, Wan Xu was excited. He played it cool and asked, “What did you want me for?”
Ji Cenzhou’s smile was forced. “I remember you confessed to me before.”
Wan Xu paused. This rabbit like Omega was actually quite clever. “I did confess first, but you rejected me. Why? Do you regret it now?”
Wan Xu stepped forward, and Ji Cenzhou stepped back until he was against a wall. Wan Xu trapped him between his body and the wall. Because they were so close, Ji Cenzhou smelled Wan Xu’s pheromones. It smelled like moldy oranges and gave him a headache. Ji Cenzhou took a deep breath and suppressed the urge to beat the person in front of him. He put on an innocent, aggrieved expression.
“Your boyfriend came to find trouble with me today.”
Ji Cenzhou, the “Oscar winning actor,” was now online. Wan Xu’s mind raced, but with a beauty in front of him, he lost his logic. He looked concerned. “What did he do to you?”
“He cornered me in the restroom with three Betas to teach me a lesson.” Ji Cenzhou’s eyes turned red. He twisted his sleeves and spoke with a sob in his voice, looking pitiable.
Wan Xu completely lost his reason. “Did they hit you? Are you hurt?”
Ji Cenzhou lowered his head, his eyes shimmering with tears. He nodded, then suddenly shook his head as if remembering something. Wan Xu felt even more protective. He knew Gu Lin’s character; that mindless boy was definitely capable of cornering someone.
“Where are you hurt?” Wan Xu asked with genuine pity.
“My… my waist,” Ji Cenzhou said softly, biting his lip with embarrassment.
Wan Xu felt like fireworks were going off in his head. He assumed this was an invitation. He maintained a gentlemanly facade. “Let me see if it is serious.” He reached out to lift Ji Cenzhou’s school uniform.
Ji Cenzhou dodged slightly. “Wait. I have to ask you something. Why did you tell people behind my back that I was the one who liked you?”
Looking at those melancholic eyes, Wan Xu surrendered completely. “It was my fault. I like you so much that I was in a daze for days after you rejected me. One day I was drunk with friends and said the wrong thing. Can you forgive me since I like you so much?”
Wan Xu was itching to touch him. He reached for the uniform again. “Let me see the injury on your waist.”
Before he could touch him, he heard an impatient sound. The “weak little rabbit” suddenly raised a leg, and his knee struck Wan Xu directly in the crotch. Wan Xu let out a wail, clutching himself and stumbling back in agony.
Ji Cenzhou lowered his knee and looked at Wan Xu, who was nearly crawling on the ground. He spoke with arrogant politeness. “Look at what? Did I give you permission to look?”
