The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 4
The third period in the morning was Physical Education. After finishing the warm up activities, the teacher dismissed the class for free time. Ji Cenzhou felt a bit drowsy from the sun, so Bai Yu bought him a popsicle to help him wake up.
Ji Cenzhou said thank you. He looked at the small carts outside the school fence and the students buying snacks through the bars. He smiled and noted that every school seemed to be exactly the same. Bai Yu agreed, mentioning that he also had vendors selling things through the fence back in middle school.
The two sat under the shade of a tree watching the other boys play ball. Bai Yu suddenly asked if Ji Cenzhou knew how to play. Ji Cenzhou watched the group of students playing basketball. They were not very skilled, but they were energetic. He gave a casual affirmative response.
Bai Yu was surprised. “You do?”
“Yes,” Ji Cenzhou replied.
“Wow, you do not look like the type who plays basketball. You have changed quite a bit recently. You have become much more extroverted and quite…” Bai Yu recalled Ji Cenzhou kicking an Alpha out of the restroom the other day and smiled. “You are quite domineering.”
Ji Cenzhou looked lazy, his eyes half closed. “It is alright, I suppose.”
“Why did you change so much all of a sudden?” Bai Yu pressed.
“Because…” Ji Cenzhou drew out the word purposefully. Under Bai Yu’s expectant gaze, he continued, “Because I have attained enlightenment through Buddhist teachings.”
Bai Yu was speechless. He thought to himself that if Ji Cenzhou had attained enlightenment, then he had mastered the Bible. He told Ji Cenzhou to stop joking and asked if he could teach him how to play basketball.
Ji Cenzhou did not say anything. He simply used his hands to push himself off the ground and stood up. He let out a yawn and started walking toward the sports building. Bai Yu sat on the ground, feeling confused. He shouted to ask where he was going. Ji Cenzhou waved his hand lazily and said he was going to borrow a basketball.
Ji Cenzhou reached the sports building based on his memories. The building was nearly empty. When he reached the office, he found that the teacher in charge of the equipment log was not there. He did not want to take a ball without permission, so he decided to use the restroom first and check again afterward.
Just as he finished washing his hands and stepped out of the restroom, several boys surrounded him. Ji Cenzhou looked at their arrogant expressions and felt amused. The look was so familiar; having an expression like that was no different from writing “I deserve a beating” on one’s face. He actually found the feeling a bit nostalgic. Since he had become famous for a fight in his first year of high school in his previous life, no one had dared to trouble him. Now that he was in a new body, people looking for trouble had immediately found him.
Ji Cenzhou shook the water off his hands and asked if they needed something. A clean cut boy stepped forward and looked at him with disdain. He asked if Ji Cenzhou was the one using his pure and cute appearance to seduce his boyfriend.
Ji Cenzhou was stunned by the opening line. He wondered what on earth the boy was talking about. Usually, the line should be something like, “Are you the strongest person in this area?” He looked the boy up and down and asked arrogantly, “Who are you?”
The boy was taken aback. “I am Gu Lin. Remember that name. From now on, you…”
“Gu Lin?” Ji Cenzhou interrupted him with a frown. He expressed his dislike for the long winded speech, telling the boy he sounded too feminine. He then asked who the boyfriend was.
Gu Lin gritted his teeth and said the name was Wan Xu.
Ji Cenzhou repeated the name three times before he remembered who the person was. He realized it was the idiot Alpha who had been spreading rumors that Ji Cenzhou liked him. During the second semester of the previous year, Wan Xu had suddenly tried to confess his love to the original owner of the body, which had terrified him. After being rejected repeatedly, the idiot started telling everyone that the original owner had seduced him first. He had even insulted the original owner behind his back. The original owner had cried for a long time over it and only began to feel better after a month.
Gu Lin mocked him, asking why Wan Xu would ever like someone like him when he already had Gu Lin. Ji Cenzhou looked Gu Lin over and noted that both he and Wan Xu seemed equally foolish. He told them they were a perfect match.
“I have absolutely no interest in your boyfriend,” Ji Cenzhou stated. “He was the one who kept bothering me. Instead of looking for trouble with me, you should go back and discipline your boyfriend. You should keep him on a leash so he does not go around biting people.”
Gu Lin’s face turned from green to red. He accused Ji Cenzhou of calling his boyfriend a dog. Ji Cenzhou laughed and replied that even a good dog does not bite people, so his boyfriend did not even qualify as a good dog.
Gu Lin was almost at a loss for words. He demanded that Ji Cenzhou say it again and accused him of being shameless for seducing someone else’s boyfriend at such a young age.
“Stop right there,” Ji Cenzhou said. “Listen carefully since you seem to have a hearing problem. Your boyfriend bothered me while he was still in a relationship with you. Even after I clearly rejected him, he continued to harass me. Once he realized he had no chance, he started spreading rumors to smear my name. Your boyfriend’s character is disgusting. You should spend your time watching over him so he does not hit on other people. With his personality, this is probably not the first time he has done this, is it?”
Gu Lin’s expression turned ugly. It was true that this was not the first time Wan Xu had done something like this. Wan Xu had originally been the Alpha of Gu Lin’s best friend, and they had started seeing each other before Wan Xu broke up with that friend. Gu Lin had believed they were true love and that Wan Xu would never betray him.
Ji Cenzhou did not want to waste any more time. He told them to move out of his way if they were done. Gu Lin suddenly looked deranged and blamed Ji Cenzhou, claiming Wan Xu would never have betrayed him if Ji Cenzhou did not exist.
Ji Cenzhou wondered if the boy was mentally ill. He told Gu Lin that he must have forgotten to take his medication and suggested that a mental hospital should keep a bed permanently reserved for someone of his level of stupidity.
Gu Lin was shocked that the seemingly weak Ji Cenzhou was so sharp tongued. He shook with rage, unable to think of a comeback. He looked at his friends and told Ji Cenzhou that since he refused to repent, they would teach him a lesson. Several Betas began to surround him.
Ji Cenzhou suddenly felt excited. Fighting was what he did best. He looked at the three Betas. They were thin and did not look like they knew how to fight. In his previous life, he would have won easily, but he was curious to see how well this new body would cooperate.
A Beta on the left threw a punch at him. Ji Cenzhou reacted instantly. The body cooperated well, and its flexibility was even better than his original body, allowing him to dodge difficult attacks. However, the space was limited. While dodging a punch, he hit the sink and hissed in pain. He swung a punch back, hitting the Beta on the right in the face. The Beta immediately suffered a nosebleed and fell to the floor.
Ji Cenzhou was not satisfied with the result. His strength was too low. If he had not hit the nose, the punch would have had very little impact. He knew that although the Beta was bleeding, the injury was not serious. However, the punch intimidated the other two Betas, who hesitated to move closer.
Gu Lin grew anxious and called them cowards, reminding them that their opponent was just an Omega. Ji Cenzhou put on an arrogant expression and beckoned Gu Lin over with his finger. He challenged Gu Lin to step up himself since he claimed there was nothing to fear.
Gu Lin was actually terrified. He had only dared to corner Ji Cenzhou because the boy looked like a weak rabbit. He never expected Ji Cenzhou to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing who could take down a Beta with one punch. He knew he could not do the same.
Just as Gu Lin was stuck in a difficult position, someone nearby shouted loudly to ask what they were doing.
