The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 2
Jiang Mosen felt his surroundings blur for a split second. By the time he regained his senses, he was standing inside the restroom. He turned to look at Ji Cenzhou, who was busy locking the door. Raising an eyebrow, he asked, “What exactly are you doing?”
Once the door was secured, Ji Cenzhou spoke quickly. “I need your help with something.”
Jiang Mosen paused, a playful glint appearing in his eyes. “You want me to help you in the restroom?”
Ji Cenzhou did not stop to consider any hidden meaning behind Jiang Mosen’s words. He simply explained, “There is an Omega in heat in here. There are so many Alphas outside that I am afraid to leave to get the suppressant. If no one stays here to guard the place, something might happen. Can you help me go get the suppressant?”
He did not even pause for breath, even providing Jiang Mosen with a ready-made excuse. “I see that you are not reacting to the pheromones, so I know you must have already injected a suppressant yourself. Not bad, Class Monitor. You move fast. You are definitely reliable.”
Upon hearing Ji Cenzhou’s words, Jiang Mosen’s expression turned serious. Seeing that Ji Cenzhou had already rationalized the situation for him, he nodded. “Where is the suppressant? I will go get it for you.”
Ji Cenzhou provided the location, and Jiang Mosen turned and left without another word.
As soon as Ji Cenzhou relocked the door, the trembling voice of the Omega inside the stall spoke up. “Was that… was that the Class Monitor?”
“It was him,” Ji Cenzhou confirmed. Thinking that an Omega in heat would naturally feel flustered with an Alpha nearby, he prepared to offer some comfort. However, the boy continued, “What a pity. I did not manage to draw out the Class Monitor’s pheromones. It has been over a year, and no one has ever been able to smell them.”
Ji Cenzhou stood there in silence. He thought to himself that the boy should really pick a better time and place to be a fanboy. It was incredibly heartless to worry about that now. Besides, until the original protagonist appeared, Jiang Mosen’s pheromones would not be released at all, so there was no way anyone could smell them.
“Thank you for today,” the boy said. His voice sounded damp and his words trailed off with a slight tremor.
Ji Cenzhou moved closer and asked tentatively, “What does it feel like to be in heat?”
“You do not know? Have you never experienced it?”
“No,” Ji Cenzhou lied casually. “I presented quite late, and my first heat cycle has not arrived yet.”
“Then you really are late,” the boy replied. “Being in heat is a very strange feeling. It is as if you have been exposed to the scorching sun for hours. You are clearly parched and thirsty, yet your body feels drenched. It is a bit like being a fish stranded on the shore.”
“Are you in a lot of pain right now?” Ji Cenzhou asked.
“I managed to inject half of the suppressant, and the first wave of the heat has passed. I feel alright now, though my body is a bit weak.” The boy let out what sounded like a sigh. “Let us introduce ourselves. I am Bai Yu.”
“I am Ji Cenzhou. We are in the same class.”
Bai Yu was clearly surprised. “What a coincidence! Come to think of it, I have not spoken to you since school started. You are usually alone, and whenever someone gets close, you act like a startled little rabbit. I never dared to talk to you because I was afraid of scaring you.”
Ji Cenzhou did not know how to respond to that, so he simply offered a vague laugh to move past the subject.
The two did not chat for long before Jiang Mosen returned. He stood outside the door and said, “Open up. There is no one else in the hallway.”
Ji Cenzhou opened the door just a crack. After confirming that no one but Jiang Mosen was there, he opened it fully, pulled him inside, and locked the door again. Jiang Mosen was momentarily stunned, looking at Ji Cenzhou with slight surprise.
Ji Cenzhou frowned. “What are you looking at?”
“Nothing,” Jiang Mosen said, withdrawing his gaze. He thought to himself that this person was surprisingly trusting.
“Give me the suppressant.”
Jiang Mosen handed it over. “I sent someone to call the teacher from the infirmary. They will be here shortly.”
Ji Cenzhou passed the suppressant into the stall. Once he was certain Bai Yu had finished the injection, he said, “Good.”
Just as the injection was finished, the medical teacher arrived. Because Bai Yu was dehydrated from the heat, he was taken to the infirmary to receive an IV drip. After the teacher and Bai Yu had left, Ji Cenzhou finally breathed a sigh of relief. As he prepared to leave, Jiang Mosen called out to him.
Ji Cenzhou turned back and asked, “What is it?”
Jiang Mosen stared at him for a few seconds. As Ji Cenzhou’s expression grew increasingly impatient, Jiang Mosen raised an eyebrow with a hint of suppressed laughter in his voice. He looked away and said, “Your zipper is down.”
Ji Cenzhou stood frozen in shock. Because he had been in such a hurry to leave his stall earlier, he had completely forgotten to zip up. The realization that he had been walking around in front of so many people like that left him feeling breathless with embarrassment.
The usually fearless Ji Cenzhou actually blushed. He glared at Jiang Mosen and stammered, “I… I was just in a rush to save someone! Besides, why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Jiang Mosen let out a small, lazy smile. “I only just noticed. I am not the type of person who keeps their eyes fixed on that area.”
Ji Cenzhou gritted his teeth. He felt that Jiang Mosen’s logic was sound, but he still stood his ground stubbornly. “Then do not tell anyone about what happened today! Not a single soul!”
Jiang Mosen looked at him. Ji Cenzhou’s face was tilted up, and his eyes were bright and lively, rimmed with a reddish tint from either anger or embarrassment. He looked nothing like the dull, introverted person he usually was. After a pause, Jiang Mosen said, “Do not worry. I will not tell anyone.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Ji Cenzhou turned and bolted out of the room as if he were escaping. Jiang Mosen watched his disappearing figure and could not help but let out a short laugh.
By the time Ji Cenzhou returned to the classroom, a few other students were already there. Seeing that there was still about an hour before afternoon classes began, he leaned over his desk and fell asleep.
The physics teacher was the Class Monitor of Class 3. Since Class 10’s own head teacher had not yet arrived to take his post, the physics teacher also served as their acting head teacher.
Ji Cenzhou was woken by the afternoon bell. He lifted his head, eyes bleary with sleep, to watch the teacher walk in. The physics teacher was named Liu Qi, though his nickname among students was “The Ghost’s Sorrow.” He was a tall, thin man who wore round-rimmed glasses. He was up there in age, and the skin at the corners of his mouth sagged downward, looking as if his mouth had been placed inside a pair of parentheses.
Liu Qi scanned the entire classroom. His sharp, sarcastic, and piercing gaze fell on every student, making Ji Cenzhou feel incredibly uncomfortable. Once the lesson began, Ji Cenzhou fully understood why Liu Qi earned his nickname.
The teacher called Li Tianrui to the front to solve a problem on the board. Li Tianrui was the boy who had woken Ji Cenzhou up that morning. It was clear that Li Tianrui was not a strong student; out of nine problems, he got five wrong. Li Tianrui kept his head down, looking quite embarrassed.
Liu Qi scolded him in front of the entire class. He quickly escalated the situation, claiming that Li Tianrui would undoubtedly grow up to be a person of no benefit to society. He even took the opportunity to disparage Li Tianrui’s family genetics.
Li Tianrui was a carefree boy by nature, but being insulted like this in front of his peers—especially when the insults extended to his parents—was too much. His face turned a deep red and he clenched his fists, glaring at Liu Qi with fury. Children of this age have strong self-esteem, and the teacher had crossed a line by attacking his family.
Liu Qi glared back and sneered. “What are you looking at? Am I wrong? You cannot even solve such a simple problem. Get lost and sit back down. Stop making a fool of yourself up here.”
Li Tianrui forced himself to endure the humiliation and returned to his seat without a word.
After class, several boys who were close to Li Tianrui gathered around him to protest the unfair treatment. “Ghost’s Sorrow went too far. I heard a student in his previous class almost jumped off a building because they could not handle his sarcasm. It was a huge scandal, and the school barely managed to settle it. Why hasn’t he learned to restrain himself?”
“I know I am not a good student. I can accept being scolded for that,” Li Tianrui said, his voice trembling with a hint of grievance. “But did you hear what he said? He said people like me grow up to be the vermin of society and stepping stones for others. I am not completely useless. Does my academic performance represent everything I am? And he actually suggested my parents must be brainless to have a child like me. Scold me if you must, but why insult my parents?”
The students around him offered various words of comfort. “Do not be angry. Things will get better once our real head teacher arrives. Ghost’s Sorrow is only acting this way because he knows our teacher isn’t here yet.” “When is our head teacher arriving?” “In about five or six days. I heard they were specifically transferred from another school and are very capable.” “Wait, does that mean Ghost’s Sorrow is still in charge of our final self-study session?”
As soon as those words were spoken, the entire class fell silent. Every face wore the same expression: utter despair.
Fortunately, Liu Qi did not show up because of other business, and Jiang Mosen presided over the session instead. The class meeting did not have much important content, aside from rearranging the seating.
Jiang Mosen announced, “Everyone can form groups based on their own preferences. If there are any conflicts, you can come to me.”
Ji Cenzhou was feeling lazy and did not want to move at all. He let out a yawn, only to see a shadow fall over his desk. He looked up and saw the person standing there. After a brief pause, he asked, “Are you feeling any better?”
Bai Yu nodded. “I came back after finishing my IV drip. I am fine now. The thing is, I would like to sit with you, if that is okay.”
Ji Cenzhou nodded indifferently. “That is fine. Where do you want to sit?”
Bai Yu pointed toward a seat by the window. Ji Cenzhou calculated the distance and frowned slightly. Seeing this, Bai Yu quickly added, “I can help you move your desk.”
Ji Cenzhou stood up. “It is fine. I can do it myself.” He felt that if word got out that he let an Omega help him move furniture, he would lose all his dignity.
Once Ji Cenzhou moved the desk, most of the seats in the class were settled. Ji Cenzhou watched as Jiang Mosen stepped down from the podium and sat directly behind him.
Ji Cenzhou was speechless. If anyone asked, he would say he regretted this move deeply. The “zipper incident” from lunch ranked at the top of the most shameful moments of his life. He felt his grand reputation had been destroyed by that one mistake, and he did not even want to look at Jiang Mosen anymore. He lowered his head to avoid Jiang Mosen’s gaze, missing the way Jiang Mosen raised an eyebrow upon seeing him.
Seeing that Jiang Mosen did not seem inclined to start a conversation, Ji Cenzhou breathed a sigh of relief. However, before he could fully relax, he heard Jiang Mosen’s seatmate whisper, “Brother Jiang, did you know an Omega went into heat today at noon?”
Ji Cenzhou and Bai Yu both stiffened. They shared a look and silently shifted their attention to the conversation happening behind them.
The boy continued, “I heard it was quite intense. That Omega locked himself in the restroom, and the scent of pheromones was so strong the whole building could smell it. The most important part is that someone witnessed that Omega dragging an Alpha inside.”
The boy lowered his voice even further. “After that, a lot of sounds that were not suitable for children came from the restroom. It was enough to make anyone’s face turn red. They are so bold. That Omega was so brazen, and that Alpha was daring too. Are they not afraid the school will expel them if the teachers find out?”
Bai Yu could not hold back when he heard the phrase “that Omega was so brazen.” He turned around with a fake smile. Once the boy finished speaking and noticed the beautiful Omega in front of him smiling, he felt a chill run down his spine. He rubbed the goosebumps on his arms and asked nervously, “What is wrong?”
Bai Yu said with a smile, “I am that brazen Omega.” Jiang Mosen added with a smile, “I am that daring Alpha.” Ji Cenzhou turned around, also smiling, “And I am the one who pulled Jiang Mosen into the restroom.”
The boy sat there, frozen like a frightened quail in front of their three sinister, smiling faces. If looks could kill, he probably would have died a hundred times over.
