- The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega!
- Chapter 1 - The Transmigration
“Wake up. Stop sleeping. The Dean is looking for you.”
Ji Cenzhou was shaken awake. He lifted his head and looked at the boy in front of him with bleary, sleepy eyes. He had a terrible temper when waking up, and everyone around him knew it. Generally, no one dared to wake him during break time. Ji Cenzhou narrowed his eyes at the unfamiliar face, barely managing to suppress his rage. After staring at the boy for three seconds, Ji Cenzhou frowned slightly.
“Who are you?”
The boy stood there, speechless. He scratched his buzz cut helplessly, wearing an expression of disbelief. “Even though the classes were only reshuffled a few days ago, it is normal not to know everyone. However, I am the guy who got kicked off stage because my self-introduction took so long it delayed dismissal. Look again; I am your Brother Li!”
The boy cracked a joke, trying to close the distance between them. Ji Cenzhou looked at the skinny, monkey-like boy with the buzz cut. He stared for a moment with an incredulous gaze before sneering. “Brother Li? Whose brother are you? You have some nerve daring to be my brother.”
Li Tianrui was stunned. Looking at the Omega before him, whose face bore sleep marks and looked pure and harmless yet spoke such arrogant words, Li Tianrui’s brain short-circuited. He blurted out, “Brother Ji, you are my brother. Is that okay?”
Only then was Ji Cenzhou satisfied. He yawned and stood up, looking around only to find that there was not a single familiar face. Even the desk he had been sleeping on was different. He wondered if he had walked into the wrong classroom.
Immediately, he discovered an even more dire problem: his line of sight was wrong. How could he wake up in the wrong classroom and find that his height had shrunk? He raised a hand to touch his face. The skin beneath his fingers was delicate and smooth. Moreover, a single hand could cover his entire face.
Ji Cenzhou was horrified. He wondered whose face this was and where his proud, high nose bridge had gone. Seeing the mist still in Ji Cenzhou’s eyes as he looked around blankly and touched his face, Li Tianrui watched as those shimmering, round eyes widened before turning heavy with gloom.
Li Tianrui thought he was incredibly cute. He lamented internally, and his voice unconsciously softened. “Are you not fully awake yet? Why don’t you wash your face before heading to the Grade Dean’s office?”
Ji Cenzhou snapped his gaze toward Li Tianrui. His voice was urgent. “Does the restroom have a mirror?”
Li Tianrui nodded, feeling confused. “Yes, it does.”
“Quickly, take me there!” Ji Cenzhou said anxiously.
Li Tianrui was full of questions. He thought to himself that perhaps the boy had slept himself stupid and no longer knew where the bathroom was located. He dithered for just a few seconds before he heard Ji Cenzhou let out an impatient sound, as if he would be kicked if he delayed another second. Li Tianrui noted that this Omega was cute but a bit fierce.
He led him to the restroom, where he watched Ji Cenzhou examine his face and body in the mirror. His expression shifted from utter shock to profound grief. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he turned around and asked, “Who am I?”
Li Tianrui was baffled. He wondered if there was something wrong with this Omega’s head. He sighed inwardly in pity, then answered under Ji Cenzhou’s urging gaze. “You are Ji Cenzhou, a student of Class 10, Grade 11 at Jiangdong First High.”
Ji Cenzhou’s heart thudded. His lower back hit the sink. The pain reminded him that this was not a dream; he had actually transmigrated into a book. He had transmigrated into the novel he had just read.
Last night during self-study, he had borrowed a campus romance novel from his seatmate out of boredom. In the novel, the protagonist, Lin Wenxing, was an exquisite and smart Omega. After transferring to Jiangdong First High, he met the school hunk, Jiang Mosen. Jiang Mosen suffered from a pheromone disorder and could only smell Lin Wenxing’s pheromones, which had a 100% compatibility rate. The kind Lin Wenxing offered to help treat him. They fell in love during the process, defeated the villains, and lived happily ever after.
Though the logic was weak, the story was satisfying. Ji Cenzhou had read most of it in one go and fell asleep on his desk. He never would have thought he would wake up inside the book. Transmigrating was one thing, but he wondered why he had to inhabit such a tragic character.
The original owner was the cousin of the protagonist. Unlike his cousin, he was a total “little pitiful” character. His father had died early, leaving only a sickly mother. They were impoverished, and he relied on financial aid to stay in school. Furthermore, the original owner was cowardly, shy, and socially anxious. He could not even finish a sentence in front of strangers. He was dull and at the bottom of his class. Due to long-term school bullying, he had become even more withdrawn. He had a crush on Jiang Mosen but never dared to speak.
After the protagonist, Lin Wenxing, transferred in and saw the original owner being bullied, he stood up for him. The original owner was initially grateful, but after seeing his cousin get together with Jiang Mosen, his personality twisted out of jealousy and hatred. He eventually turned villainous, plotting to frame the protagonist, which ironically only pushed the main couple to confirm their relationship.
Ji Cenzhou had not finished the book, but his seatmate told him the ending. After his schemes were exposed, the original owner became even more depressed. He failed to get into a decent college and became a companion to a lecherous old man to pay for his mother’s medical bills. Eventually, he died during a difficult childbirth. His mother, upon hearing the news, died of a broken heart.
But that was all far in the future. Ji Cenzhou was not worried about that yet. He only cared about one thing: the original owner was an Omega. He, a dominant school bully whom no one within ten miles dared to provoke, had actually turned into a weak Omega. He wondered if there was any way out of this situation.
Ji Cenzhou’s face turned many colors. Seeing his terrible complexion, Li Tianrui reminded him, “Stop dazing out. Hurry to the Dean’s office because class is about to start.”
Li Tianrui decided to be a good Samaritan to the end and walked him to the office, even knocking on the door for him.
“Come in.”
The Dean was in his thirties but already had significant hair loss. A few wisps of hair fluttered on top of his head. He was obese with a triple chin, but despite looking like a Buddha, he had a fiery temper. Li Tianrui’s scalp felt numb just looking at him. He said his greetings and quickly slipped away.
However, the Dean’s attitude toward Ji Cenzhou was quite gentle. Ji Cenzhou was well-behaved and studious. Although his grades were poor, his attitude was commendable, and he never caused trouble.
The Dean asked a few questions about his studies before getting to the point. “I called you here today to talk about your financial aid.” He sighed. He knew the boy’s situation was pitiful, but the system was heartless. “Your final grades from Grade 10 were a bit low. Financial aid has grade requirements. If they do not improve, you might not qualify next semester.”
He chose his words carefully. This student was introverted and had low self-esteem. Once, the Dean had spoken a bit harshly, and Ji Cenzhou had teared up on the spot. With the pressure of junior year and puberty, the Dean did not want to leave him psychologically scarred.
But his grades were indeed plummeting. He started in the middle, dropped to the bottom half by midterms, and was dead last by finals. If he were not trying, that would be one thing, but the kid was studying with every ounce of his strength.
Ji Cenzhou’s face did not crumble into tears. Instead, he looked pensive. A few seconds later, he asked, “Aside from financial aid, does the school have scholarships?”
The Dean blinked. “The top ten students of the grade receive scholarships.”
Ji Cenzhou nodded, musing to himself that although it would be difficult, there was a chance. The Dean was confused. He was worried about the boy’s aid, yet the boy was eyeing a top-tier scholarship.
Before the Dean could speak, a knock sounded at the door. “Come in.”
“Teacher, were you looking for me?” The voice was cold, yet carried the distinct clarity of a youth.
Ji Cenzhou looked over. The boy at the door wore a white shirt with the top button undone, revealing a deep-set collarbone. Above that was a handsome, sharp face. It had the cleanliness of a youth but the budding maturity of a man. Three words popped into Ji Cenzhou’s head: Jiang Mosen.
The Dean spoke. “You have arrived at the right time. Since the reshuffle, are you in the same class as Ji Cenzhou?”
Jiang Mosen gave Ji Cenzhou an unreadable glance and nodded.
“Then help Student Ji when you have time. You are ranked first in the grade and won the physics competition. His physics is quite poor; help him if you can.”
Jiang Mosen did not look at Ji Cenzhou again. His face remained expressionless as he simply said, “Okay.”
Ji Cenzhou glanced at him, thinking that Jiang Mosen should not bother helping him and should instead stay as far away as possible. Then he realized that the protagonist, Lin Wenxing, would not transfer in until the end of Grade 11. It was only the beginning of the year now. That meant he had three months before the plot truly kicked off. Three months was enough time to do many things.
Jiangdong First High was a top-tier school with elite resources. Most students were wealthy or geniuses. The original owner was one of the few poor students admitted on merit. The school food was good, but expensive. The original owner could not afford the cafeteria and usually spent lunch in the classroom eating dry bread.
Ji Cenzhou had no appetite for the dry bread. He took a few bites and headed to the restroom. Just as he was about to leave the stall, he suddenly smelled the scent of roses. The fragrance grew thicker. He realized this was an Omega’s pheromones. He instinctively covered his nose and mouth before remembering that he was an Omega now and would not react to another Omega’s pheromones.
He was about to investigate when he heard frantic pounding on a door and an Omega’s panicked cry. He realized there was an Alpha there. Ji Cenzhou pushed the door open to see an Alpha pounding on an Omega’s stall door. The Alpha’s eyes were bloodshot. He froze when he saw Ji Cenzhou. The Alpha was not completely far gone yet.
“Are you leaving on your own, or do I have to help you?” Ji Cenzhou asked, crossing his arms.
The Alpha hissed, “I am about to lose control.”
“Understood. So you want me to help you.” Ji Cenzhou cracked his wrists. “I do not know my own strength. If it hurts, please bear with it.”
He grabbed the Alpha by the back of the collar and yanked. The Alpha did not budge. He tried again, but still, there was nothing. Ji Cenzhou realized he was no longer a strong Alpha; he was a frail Omega. He apologized, stating he had no choice, and delivered a swift kick. The Alpha was caught off guard and stumbled several steps. Before he could steady himself, Ji Cenzhou shoved him out the restroom door and slammed it shut, locking it.
Ji Cenzhou walked to the stall. “Are you okay?”
A sobbing voice came from inside. “My heat came early. My hand slipped when I was injecting the suppressant, and only half went in.”
Ji Cenzhou told the student to wait while he went to get the backup suppressant from Class 10. He realized the person was his classmate. Just then, voices drifted from outside the door. Other students were wondering if an Omega was in heat and suggested calling the infirmary.
The Omega inside started wailing. Because of the door, the pheromones were diluted, but Alphas were attracted by nature. If Ji Cenzhou left now, he feared what the Alphas outside would do. Normally, he would just beat them all up, but he lacked the power now.
He told the student to stop crying while he thought of a plan. He asked if there were any other options. The Omega sobbed, asking why Ji Cenzhou did not know the answer since he was also an Omega.
In the stalemate, a familiar voice rang out from the hallway. “What are you all crowding around for?”
It was Jiang Mosen. He had a pheromone disorder and could not smell Omegas. In this situation, he was as harmless as a Beta. Ji Cenzhou sprinted to the door, yanked it open, pulled Jiang Mosen inside with lightning speed, and locked the door.
The Alphas outside were stunned. They wondered why Jiang Mosen received such treatment just because he was handsome. They realized an Omega was in heat inside, and he had just been pulled into the room. The Alphas outside looked at each other, suspecting that something inappropriate was occurring.
