Just when he thought Qi Xi wouldn’t react, the hand gripping his arm loosened. Lu Yunli rubbed his wrist, but the Alpha suddenly leaned in and raised his hand.

Lu Yunli didn’t need to look to know it was Xie Xingchi. If they didn’t open the door, he’d likely break it down.

“Brother Qi, someone’s looking for you,” Lu Yunli noted.

Qi Xi looked at the glass door and pulled his hands from his pockets. “Stay here. I’ll be right back, and then we go to the school.”

Lu Yunli bit his lip. “Can I… go home first?”

“No.”

Once the door closed, Lu Yunli’s expression shifted instantly. He glided his hand across the desk, a wicked, cold smirk replacing the “pitiful” look.

The system shuddered into silence. Lu Yunli checked his phone. As expected, there were messages from Huo Yan.

“Why did you delete my friend?!” Lu Yunli yelled.

“Lu Yunxing, you are not allowed to add other Alphas from now on.”

“Give it back!”

Qi Xi suddenly realized he didn’t have Lu Yunxing’s contact himself. He added his own digital business card to the phone before handing it back. Seeing Lu Yunli reach to delete him, Qi Xi grabbed his hand and hissed through his teeth:

“Lu Yunxing! Don’t you dare delete me! If you do, you’re dead!”
