Bo Xun, a Chinese student studying in the UK, wakes up one day to find himself in a world of beastmen as a small canine influencer. He is so poor that all he has left is a tail that wags uncontrollably.
To keep himself fed, Bo Xun sets his sights on the “Blue Ocean” of this new world’s social media. He decides to break into the short-video industry by using the money-saving hacks he learned as a student abroad and his knowledge of viral trends from his original world.

Wherever Bo Xun goes, Yu Congyue follows. If Bo Xun says he’s tired, Yu Congyue picks him up and carries him without a second thought. If Bo Xun loses followers, Yu Congyue appears in his videos to drive traffic. When Bo Xun is accused of faking donations, Yu Congyue stands up immediately to explain and declares his absolute trust in him.
Bo Xun is moved: “Good brothers for life!” “This won’t affect your reputation, will it?” the little dog Bo Xun asks, worriedly wagging his big tail. “But the entertainment industry is practically named after you now…” Yu Congyue: “…”
It wasn’t until an accidental “atavism” (reverting to primal traits) occurred that Bo Xun saw the opened scales on his “good brother” while in a hot spring.
Lacking any common knowledge about beastmen, Bo Xun curiously reaches out: “What is this?” Yu Congyue’s eyes darken. He grabs the restless paw and says softly, “A normal physiological structure that all mermaids have.”
The scales close, blocking Bo Xun’s view. Driven by curiosity, the dog paw reaches out again, causing a massive splash in the steamy hot spring.
Bo Xun, having transformed from a fluffy Golden Retriever into human form, is still in a daze. The base of his ear is patiently stroked, sending a tingling, electric sensation through his damp body. Yu Congyue coaxes him tenderly:
“Since you want to touch it so badly… how about you touch here first?”
