The Stunning Omega CEO Always Wants Me to Mark Her - Chapter 6
Wen Xiangzhu clearly hadn’t expected Lin Sui to ask such a question. Her face paled.
“What do you mean, ‘what are you doing’? Jiejie, what is that supposed to mean?”
Lin Sui frowned.
“What I mean, don’t you know it yourself?”
Wen Xiangzhu froze, looking a little wronged.
“I don’t understand what jiejie is talking about…”
Lin Sui let out a short laugh.
“Fine. If you won’t admit it, then forget it.”
“Jiejie.” Wen Xiangzhu raised her eyes, staring straight at her.
“Why don’t you tell Wanwan about our relationship?”
Lin Sui stiffened.
“You and I… don’t even count as an ‘us.’”
“Don’t count as us?”
Wen Xiangzhu repeated the words under her breath, her lashes trembling, her expression dazed.
Lin Sui remained unmoved.
“The marriage between the Jiang family and the Lin family was arranged long ago. I don’t know what you’re trying to do, but let me give you some advice: don’t interfere, and don’t do anything that would harm the Lin family.”
“And if I do?” Wen Xiangzhu asked softly.
Lin Sui fell silent for a moment.
“Then I’ll have no choice but to drive you out.”

When she got home, it had already started to rain.
After showering, Lin Sui came out drying her hair, phone in hand as she replied to Zhu Huan’s message.
[Zhu Zhu Zhu]: Did you check the class group chat? A bunch of classmates want to go to the new amusement park during the break. They’re talking about organizing a trip.
[.]: Doesn’t sound fun. Lin Sui climbed onto her bed, wrapping herself in the blanket.
[.]: That romance movie today nearly put me to sleep, but Jiang Wanwan and Wen Xiangzhu both cried buckets.
[Zhu Zhu Zhu]: Omegas are all like that, understandable.
Just then, a knock sounded at her door.
Lin Sui glanced toward it.
“Who is it?”
“Jiejie, it’s me.”
Wen Xiangzhu’s voice came from outside.
Frowning, Lin Sui put down her phone and went to open the door.
“What is it?”
Wen Xiangzhu had also showered. She was wearing a dusky-pink silk nightdress, a stuffed rabbit hugged tightly in her arms, her head lowered as she stood obediently in the doorway.
“Jiejie, I’m a little scared.”
“Hm?” Lin Sui blinked. “Scared of what?”
Wen Xiangzhu’s rosy lips pressed together, a faint dimple surfacing at the corner. Instead of answering directly, she asked softly:
“Can I come in?”
Lin Sui couldn’t help but laugh.
“Wen Xiangzhu, can you not get your head on straight?
“You’re an Omega, showing up in the middle of the night wanting to enter an Alpha’s room. Do you think that’s appropriate?”
Wen Xiangzhu stayed silent for a while.
“I don’t care about things like that…”
“You don’t care about your own safety?” Lin Sui countered.
“No.” Wen Xiangzhu blinked, looking up at her.
“I believe jiejie won’t hurt me. And even if… it’s jiejie, then it doesn’t matter.”
Lin Sui’s brows tightened. It took her a while to piece together the words left unsaid.
“No. I really don’t know what’s in that head of yours. Go back, now.”
She moved to shut the door, but Wen Xiangzhu quickly stopped her, her voice trembling with the threat of tears.
“Jiejie, it’s thundering… I’m scared alone…”
Lin Sui paused.
Thundering?
She walked to the window and yanked open the curtains. Outside, the rain was pouring down, lightning flashing across the sky. Inside, however, the sound barely carried.
“These windows are soundproof. Just lock them tight and pull the curtains shut.”
No sooner had she spoken than she heard the door click closed.
Turning back, she saw Wen Xiangzhu had already slipped inside, clutching her stuffed rabbit as she quietly stood by the door.
“Did I say you could come in?”
Lin Sui’s brow furrowed deeper.
“I can sleep on the sofa,” Wen Xiangzhu whispered, quickly running over to the small couch at the foot of the bed. “Jiejie just needs to give me a blanket.”
Lin Sui hesitated.
“No.”
“Jiejie… I’m scared, I promise I won’t disturb you!” Wen Xiangzhu’s eyes reddened as she pleaded.
Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she darted out, only to return with her own quilt in her arms.
“I won’t trouble you, jiejie. Please don’t make me leave.”
Lin Sui’s lips pressed into a thin line. She watched Wen Xiangzhu quietly spread her blanket over the sofa and curl up obediently. A sigh escaped her.
Fine. If she stayed, it wouldn’t make much difference anyway…
Thinking that, Lin Sui said nothing more. She poured herself a glass of water.
Her damp hair trailed against the loose violet-grey dress brushing just above her ankles. There was a languid air about her, though tinged with a certain coldness.
From the sofa, Wen Xiangzhu watched her back, hugging the stuffed rabbit tighter. She curled into herself, breathing in deeply.
So fragrant…
Lin Sui finished her water and went into the bathroom to dry her hair before coming out again.
Only a warm yellow lamp lit the room. On the sofa, Wen Xiangzhu looked as if she’d already fallen asleep. The air was still and quiet, carrying a faint trace of red wine.
An Alpha’s territory, now filled with the scent of an intruder.
Lin Sui pressed her lips together, her expression unsettled.
Was letting Wen Xiangzhu stay really a mistake?
Truthfully, having an unfamiliar scent invade a familiar space made her uncomfortable.
After a brief moment of thought, she gave up and simply lay down on her bed, closing her eyes.
The rain outside grew heavier. Though it was summer, the midnight air had cooled several degrees.
In the dim room, Lin Sui slowly opened her eyes again, sleep long gone.
She turned over, looking toward the sofa. The girl lying there had her eyes closed, murmuring faintly in her sleep.
Lin Sui stared for a while, then quietly got up and walked over.
The girl clutched the edge of her quilt tightly, curled up into a ball on the narrow sofa. Her long lashes cast soft shadows beneath her eyes, quivering from time to time. Her lips parted slightly, whispering fragments of a dream.
“Don’t drive me away, jiejie… I’ll be good…”
Was that a nightmare?
Sleeping on the sofa, she could hardly even turn over comfortably.
With that thought, Lin Sui, almost against her own will, reached out and gently picked Wen Xiangzhu up, laying her down on the bed instead.
She was sleeping deeply and didn’t stir at all, only turning over once more before burrowing into the blanket.
As her hair slipped loose, the patch on the back of her neck was revealed.
Today’s suppressor patch was heart-shaped…
Lin Sui quickly snapped out of it and averted her gaze.
Great—now not only the room but even the bed was filled with Wen Xiangzhu’s scent.
…
That somehow felt even stranger.
Turning her head away, Lin Sui forced herself to stop overthinking. She grabbed a long plush pillow and placed it between herself and Wen Xiangzhu as a dividing line.
Then she lay down and eventually drifted into a heavy sleep.
But it wasn’t a good night’s rest. When she woke the next morning, the space beside her was already empty.
The faint fragrance lingering in the room reminded her that it hadn’t been a dream.
Collecting herself, Lin Sui freshened up and opened the bedroom door, immediately catching the faint aroma of milk.
Looking downstairs, she saw Wen Xiangzhu seated at the dining table, with several delicate pastries neatly arranged in front of her.
Perhaps hearing movement, Wen Xiangzhu lifted her head and called out quickly, “Good morning, Jie! Come have breakfast.”
From that distance, Lin Sui couldn’t make out her expression. She paused briefly before heading downstairs.
Wen Xiangzhu looked slightly nervous; her voice even trembled a little as she spoke.
“These are… I followed some tutorials online to make them.”
Lin Sui glanced at the pastries, then at her.
Wen Xiangzhu swallowed and said softly, “Jie, try some.”
At that, Lin Sui nodded, sat across from her, and picked up a cream puff to taste.
The sugar seemed a bit too much, and it had been baked a little too long…
She was just thinking that when she caught Wen Xiangzhu’s expectant gaze.
Lin Sui paused, then said, “Not bad.”
“As long as Jie doesn’t mind!”
Wen Xiangzhu’s lips curved into a bright smile, dimples appearing adorably at the corners.
“There’s a housekeeper who cooks here. You don’t need to trouble yourself with this,” Lin Sui said lightly.
Hearing that, Wen Xiangzhu blinked. “I just wanted to… I wanted to make something for Jie to eat.”
Lin Sui’s gaze darkened slightly. She lowered her eyes and ate quietly.
Both of them tacitly avoided bringing up what had happened the night before.
These past few days, Wen Wenfu had gone on a business trip with Lin Wei to the neighboring city, leaving only Lin Sui and Wen Xiangzhu at home.
Lin Sui felt uncomfortable staying home like this; for the first time, she found the seven-day holiday unbearably long.
When she saw her classmates chatting in the group about going to the amusement park tomorrow, she felt like she had found a lifeline and quickly poked Zhu Huan.
[.: Tomorrow I’m going too. Don’t let Wen Xiangzhu know.]
The reply came back quickly, with a panda sticker attached.
[Zhu Zhu Zhu: Yo, still hiding from her?]
[.: Can’t help it. I’m really not close with her, and being together is just awkward.]
[Zhu Zhu Zhu: Got it, I’ll let the others know.]
After ending the chat, Lin Sui set her phone down, walked to the window, and pulled the curtains aside to look outside.
The sky was dark, the streetlights below glowing faintly warm.
No rain today, no thunder either.
Her lashes trembled slightly as she withdrew her gaze. Realizing where her thoughts had wandered, she frowned in alarm.
No, that’s not right.
Forget it. Just watch some variety shows and sleep…
With that thought, Lin Sui returned to bed and turned on the projector. But her attention was drawn instead to the plush toy placed nearby.
Wen Xiangzhu’s bunny plushie—why hadn’t she taken it with her?
After hesitating for a long moment, Lin Sui picked it up and went to knock on the door next door.
It took quite a while before the door cracked open, Wen Xiangzhu peeking out cautiously.
“Jie, I’m changing. I’m not dressed yet…”
Her cheeks were flushed as she hid her body behind the door, speaking in a small voice.
Lin Sui’s gaze darkened, but she didn’t say much. She simply held out the plush toy through the gap, her voice a little stiff.
“Yours.”
Wen Xiangzhu blinked, her eyes lighting up, though as if recalling something, her blush deepened further.
She reached her slender hand through the gap, pale wrist following after, and quickly took the fluffy toy back.
“Thank you, Jie,” she murmured.
Lin Sui looked away. “It’s just returning your toy.”
“No, that’s not all I’m thanking you for.”
Wen Xiangzhu’s eyes widened slightly, shining as she looked at her. “I’m also… thanking you for last night.”
Lin Sui stared at her, recalling the moment she carried her to bed, and for some reason felt a little guilty as she shifted her gaze away.
A beautiful, defenseless Omega asleep in her room—no Alpha could possibly feel nothing.
But—
She hadn’t done anything, right?
That’s what Lin Sui told herself.
What she didn’t realize was what such an act might mean to an Omega.
At the time, Wen Xiangzhu had slept deeply, her nose full of Lin Sui’s scent.
The mingling of shower gel and shampoo, and that faint trace of pheromones unconsciously released in sleep.
She really liked that scent.
