The Stunning Omega CEO Always Wants Me to Mark Her - Chapter 5
Lin Sui and Jiang Wanwan met at a milk tea shop in the central plaza.
When they saw each other, Jiang Wanwan’s long hair was draped loosely over her shoulders. She greeted Lin Sui warmly and motioned for her to sit.
“Sui-jie, I already ordered your favorite—taro milk tea.”
“Mm.” Lin Sui responded lightly. “Thanks. How have you been lately?”
“Pretty good. It’s my mom who won’t stop going on about you. She says she misses you all the time.” Jiang Wanwan chuckled as she spoke.
“It’s nice of Auntie to even remember me,” Lin Sui said casually.
At that, Jiang Wanwan let out a laugh. “What are you talking about? You and I had a childhood betrothal. If my mom doesn’t think of you, who else would she think of?”
They chatted idly, neither too serious nor too distant. Not far away, Wen Xiangzhu was tugging Lu Xiaomeng to stand with her at a corner, cautiously peeking into the milk tea shop.
“Wenwen…” Lu Xiaomeng tugged on Wen Xiangzhu’s sleeve, her expression conflicted. “Isn’t this basically stalking?”
“Stalking? No, of course not.”
Wen Xiangzhu paused, then added, “This is a coincidence.”
“…”
A very creative definition of “coincidence.”
“By the way, Mengmeng,” Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together, looking nervous, “what do you think I should say to her first when I walk over?”
“Say… ‘What a coincidence!’” Lu Xiaomeng suggested after a moment of thought.
Wen Xiangzhu frowned slightly at that. “What a cliché opener.”
“…”

Sitting in the milk tea shop for too long wasn’t much fun, so Jiang Wanwan suggested they stroll through the mall and pick up a few things.
Just as the two of them stepped out of the shop, they came face to face with Wen Xiangzhu and Lu Xiaomeng.
“Uh… what a coincidence.”
Jiang Wanwan blinked, startled, then looked at her in surprise. “Wen Xiangzhu? What are you doing here?”
“I came out with a classmate.” Wen Xiangzhu’s voice was soft, and her eyes instinctively shifted toward Lin Sui.
Seeing this, Jiang Wanwan quickly recovered and began making introductions. “Oh, right, Sui-jie, let me introduce you. This is my old classmate, Wen Xiangzhu.”
“Wenwen, this is Lin Sui. I remember telling you all before—I have a fiancée. That’s her.”
Wen Xiangzhu’s lips pressed into a thin line. Her gaze flickered between Lin Sui and Jiang Wanwan.
“Sui-jie? Fiancée?”
Jiang Wanwan hesitated, then smiled and said, “Well… you could call her that, if Sui-jie doesn’t mind?” She tilted her head playfully, looking over at Lin Sui.
Lin Sui raised an eyebrow, suspicion flickering in her eyes as she looked at Wen Xiangzhu. Still, she kept her expression calm. “If Wanwan doesn’t mind, then I don’t either.”
Jiang Wanwan beamed, clearly pleased by the answer.
Wen Xiangzhu’s expression darkened, though she forced a smile. “But you two aren’t officially engaged yet, right? So it doesn’t really count as being fiancées.”
“Wenwen!” Lu Xiaomeng anxiously tugged her sleeve, lowering her voice.
Jiang Wanwan studied Wen Xiangzhu for a moment before laughing it off with a wave of her hand. “It’s fine. Wenwen’s right—my wording was off.” Then she tugged at Lin Sui’s sleeve, smiling sweetly. “But Sui-jie wouldn’t mind, would you? It’s only a matter of time anyway, right?”
Feeling the tug at her wrist, Lin Sui stiffened. A wave of discomfort ran through her, and she quietly pulled away from Jiang Wanwan’s grasp. “Mm. It’s nothing. Doesn’t make a difference to me.”
After speaking, she glanced at Wen Xiangzhu, her eyes dimming without her realizing it.
Wen Xiangzhu, however, moved her gaze away from Jiang Wanwan’s hand on Lin Sui and smiled as if nothing was amiss. She stepped forward and clasped Jiang Wanwan’s hand. “Wanwan, it’s been so long since we last saw each other. I really missed you. Today’s perfect for catching up.”
She then turned to Lu Xiaomeng. “Mengmeng, weren’t you feeling unwell? You should go back and rest. Wanwan will take care of me.”
Lu Xiaomeng blinked in surprise, then quickly caught on and nodded. “Right, I’m not feeling great. Got dizzy not long after we left earlier. I’ll head back first—have fun, you two!”
Before anyone could react, she turned and hurried off, vanishing around the corner.
Jiang Wanwan, oblivious to the shift in tone, readily agreed to Wen Xiangzhu’s suggestion. But a moment later, she thought of Lin Sui and turned to her. “Sui-jie, Wenwen and I really haven’t seen each other in ages. If you feel uncomfortable…”
“I’m fine.”
Lin Sui gave Wen Xiangzhu a cool glance. “If you want to bring her along, then bring her.”
And so, the three of them continued on together.
From beginning to end, Wen Xiangzhu clung to Jiang Wanwan, keeping her at the front while Lin Sui followed behind. Every so often, Lin Sui’s gaze drifted to the back of Wen Xiangzhu’s head, her mind swirling with questions.
What on earth is this girl playing at?
But then again… Wen Xiangzhu’s hair was down today, with a little beige bow clipped by her ear.
It actually looked… rather nice.
Her thoughts were cut off when Jiang Wanwan suddenly stopped and turned back. “Sui-jie, what do you think?”
“What… what do I think?” Lin Sui blinked in confusion.
Jiang Wanwan pouted lightly. “You weren’t even listening. Wenwen and I were just saying we wanted to watch a movie, and we were asking for your opinion.”
She pointed to a nearby cinema as she spoke.
“I’m fine with anything,” Lin Sui withdrew her gaze and replied.
With that settled, the three of them walked over to the counter.
Seeing that Jiang Wanwan and Wen Xiangzhu were already buying tickets, Lin Sui glanced around and headed toward the popcorn machine.
“Two tubs of popcorn, and three drinks…”
She paused, remembering Wen Xiangzhu’s heat these past few days, and corrected herself: “One Coke, and two hot milk teas.”
Meanwhile, Wen Xiangzhu was looking at the row of seats she had just purchased. She tugged Jiang Wanwan closer and whispered, “Wanwan, do you know what kind of person that Alpha is?”
“This… she seems fine to me.”
Wen Xiangzhu shook her head. “I mean, what if she turns out to be a bad person, and takes advantage of the dark to try something on you?”
Jiang Wanwan thought for a moment, then said lightly, “Even if she did, it doesn’t matter. We’re going to get married anyway…”
“No.”
Wen Xiangzhu cut her off at once.
Her reaction was so sharp that Jiang Wanwan blinked at her in puzzlement. “What’s wrong? Don’t you like her?”
Realizing she had overreacted, Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together. “I’m just worried about you. You two shouldn’t sit together today. I’ll sit between you. I’ll protect you.”
Jiang Wanwan chuckled softly, reaching up to smooth a lock of Wen Xiangzhu’s hair that fell across her chest. “Wenwen, why are you so cute?”
A moment later, under Wen Xiangzhu’s serious gaze, she nodded. “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
“Then Wenwen has to protect me!”
At that moment, Lin Sui had no idea what quiet arrangement the two Omegas had just made.
By the time they came over with their tickets, the popcorn and drinks were ready.
Lin Sui picked up her Coke. “The milk teas are yours.”
“Why is yours different from ours?” Wen Xiangzhu blinked curiously.
“Of course it’s different.” Lin Sui arched a brow. “Come on, grab your things and let’s go in.”
With a bucket of popcorn in one arm and her Coke in the other, Lin Sui followed the two into the theater.
Their seats were in the middle of the hall. Only after sitting down did Lin Sui notice something was off.
Out of the three seats, she had ended up on the far side—and the one next to her wasn’t Jiang Wanwan, but Wen Xiangzhu.
Wen Xiangzhu had deliberately placed herself in the middle, separating the two.
Lin Sui was baffled, unable to figure out what was going on. By Jiang Wanwan’s nature, she would normally insist on sitting beside her. Had she suddenly changed?
But Lin Sui said nothing.
When the movie began, the theater went dark.
It was a romance film. Lin Sui sipped at her Coke through the straw as she watched, quickly finding it dull.
She much preferred more thrilling plots.
Just as she was thinking this, her hand reached for the popcorn on the armrest.
But instead of popcorn, her fingertips brushed against something warm and soft. Her hand froze.
She turned her head, only to meet Wen Xiangzhu’s gaze as the girl turned toward her at the same moment.
She looked as though she had just cried. Under the dim glow from the screen, her eyes shimmered with unshed tears.
Lin Sui quickly pulled her hand back, averting her eyes with forced calm. “I touched you by accident.”
“Mm.”
Wen Xiangzhu’s nose was faintly red. She gave a small sound of assent and popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth.
A subtle fragrance lingered around her. On screen, the protagonists were kissing tenderly. Lin Sui’s gaze fell to the hand that had just brushed against Wen Xiangzhu’s. A flicker of light crossed her eyes, her thoughts scattering.
Her fingertips still tingled with a strange heat, spreading upward like tiny sparks crawling toward her ears, leaving an itch beneath her skin.
Snapping herself back to her senses, she curled her fingers against her palm, then lifted her Coke for another sip, using the cold fizz to tamp down the restless stirrings inside her. Only then did her head clear a little.
She had already gone through a susceptibility period earlier this year. She shouldn’t be feeling anything like this.
When the credits rolled and the lights came back on, Lin Sui straightened up, adjusting her clothes.
Two hours in that seat had left her stiff and sore. At last it was over—she felt nothing but relief.
“That was so heartbreaking. Why did they have to suffer so much? Couldn’t the ending have been better?”
“Exactly! They loved each other, so why did they still have to part?”
Lin Sui froze for a beat, then turned toward the source of the voices—Wen Xiangzhu and Jiang Wanwan, both still lost in the story.
“You’re crying too?” she asked.
Jiang Wanwan’s eyes were red. At Lin Sui’s words, her lips quivered, and as though recalling the film’s tragic ending, she started crying again.
“Them… uuu, the leads were too miserable!”
Lin Sui: “…”
By the time they left the mall, the sky was already darkening.
Lin Sui glanced at the time. “Wanwan, you should head home. I’ll see you off.”
“No need. My driver’s waiting in the garage across the street. But Wenwen…”
She tugged Wen Xiangzhu’s hand and turned to Lin Sui. “Sui-jie, I don’t feel safe letting Wenwen go home alone. Could you please take her back?”
Lin Sui’s expression shifted almost imperceptibly.
But faced with Jiang Wanwan’s pleading look, she sighed, guilt flickering unexpectedly in her chest. “Alright, no problem. Don’t worry.”
Jiang Wanwan let out a breath of relief and smiled. “That’s good, then.”
In the end, Lin Sui still worried about Jiang Wanwan, personally escorting her to the garage and watching her get into the car before she relaxed.
The garage was quiet. Only when the sound of the engine faded into the distance did Lin Sui turn, fixing Wen Xiangzhu with a look that was half-accusation.
“Alright, out with it. What exactly are you trying to pull?”
