The Stunning Omega CEO Always Wants Me to Mark Her - Chapter 16
For convenience, the group decided not to leave campus and instead found a quiet corner in the cafeteria to eat.
Noticing Lin Sui and Zhu Huan sitting across from her with oddly serious expressions, Xia Yi was completely baffled. She lost her appetite and finally blurted out, “What’s going on? Did I do something wrong?”
“No,” Lin Sui said unhurriedly, taking a sip of water. “We just want to ask you about two people. One is called Feng Yue, the other Lu Rong.”
Before Xia Yi could reply, Wen Xiangzhu’s brows knit together. “Lu Rong?”
“You know him?”
Lin Sui blinked in surprise.
After all, she thought she knew Wen Xiangzhu fairly well. She spent all her time in the classroom, rarely mingled with students from other classes, and had only transferred here a little over a month ago. She probably didn’t even recognize all her own classmates yet, let alone people from elsewhere.
Wen Xiangzhu nodded, then shook her head lightly. “Not exactly. He came looking for me once—that day I went to your dorm to get the chemistry workbook.”
She recounted everything that had happened in detail.
Xia Yi nodded thoughtfully and analyzed, “Lu Rong and Feng Yue are pretty close, and Feng Yue has always liked Chen Huaxing. So that day, Lu Rong was probably just standing up for Feng Yue.”
“But there’s one problem,” Lin Sui murmured. “If Lu Rong really only wanted to help Feng Yue that day, how did he know Wen Xiangzhu would be coming out of our dorm building?”
At that, silence fell over the table.
After a moment, Xia Yi lifted her gaze to the others and said quietly, “Maybe, I know who it was.”

By the time they finished eating, Lin Sui’s anger was boiling over. She wanted nothing more than to march out and teach those people a lesson.
But Wen Xiangzhu coaxed her gently, “Don’t make a big scene. If Auntie Lin hears about it, she’ll just scold you again.”
Lin Sui let out a heavy sigh and grudgingly let it go.
Still, knowing there was a traitor in the dorm was something she couldn’t swallow.
“How about this,” Xia Yi suggested. “When we get back to class, I’ll sound out Ye Shuqian for you—see how she reacts.”
After a moment’s thought, Lin Sui nodded in agreement.

That afternoon, they had PE.
As soon as class was dismissed, Wen Xiangzhu went straight to Lin Sui’s side. “Jiejie, want to play ball?”
“No.” Lin Sui raised a brow. “You still dare stick this close to me? Aren’t you worried about appearances?”
“What’s there to hide from?” Wen Xiangzhu blinked mischievously, clasped her hands behind her back, and smiled. “The rumors are already all over school. If I start avoiding you now, they’ll just assume I’m guilty.”
Lin Sui chuckled softly. “You’ve got a point.”
Since Lin Sui didn’t want to play, Wen Xiangzhu simply sat with her on the bleachers.
“Jiejie.” After a moment of spacing out, Wen Xiangzhu suddenly asked, “How are you planning to deal with this?”
“You mean Feng Yue’s business?”
“No, I mean the rumors. The ones saying you and I are dating.”
Lin Sui lifted her gaze from her phone screen, staring out across the track for a while before asking, “Does it bother you?”
Wen Xiangzhu blinked, caught off guard. “I don’t.”
“Of course it bothers you.” Lin Sui cut her off, speaking as though it was obvious. “You’re not an Alpha. This kind of gossip actually affects your reputation.”
Wen Xiangzhu: “…”
“Actually, I”
Lin Sui sighed. “Forget it. I’ll find a chance to clear things up.”
Wen Xiangzhu : “…”
Noticing Wen Xiangzhu’s complicated expression, Lin Sui hesitated. “You, don’t worry about it, alright?”
After a pause, Wen Xiangzhu murmured, “Jiejie, I don’t think the rumors are that big a deal. Even if you don’t clarify, it’s fine.”
“How could that be okay?” Lin Sui waved her hand dismissively, mistaking Wen Xiangzhu’s words for politeness. “Your reputation can’t take a hit. If someday you get married and someone dredges this up, it could cause trouble.”
“M-married?” Wen Xiangzhu’s lashes trembled, the word escaping her lips in a whisper.
“Of course.” Lin Sui looked puzzled. “What’s so strange about marriage?”
Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together and lowered her head. “I’ve never thought about it.”
“That’s fine too.” Lin Sui considered briefly. “Better to focus on your studies for now. Love and marriage can wait until later.”
“Mm.”
Wen Xiangzhu nodded faintly, head still bowed. She didn’t say another word, her mood visibly deflated.

That evening, when they returned to the dorm, Ye Shuqian still hadn’t come back.
Xia Yi leaned close to Lin Sui and whispered, “She admitted it. From her expression, I think she felt a little guilty? Hard to tell, but probably.”
“Then why hasn’t she come back this late?” Lin Sui arched a brow.
“Maybe, she’s scared.”
“Scared of what?”
“Scared of you,” Xia Yi muttered weakly.
Lin Sui: “…”
“Do I really look that scary?”
Xia Yi tapped her chin, squinting as though in serious thought.
“Maybe, probably just a little scary. You are the sole heir to the Lin Group, after all, and a second-degree black belt. Nobody would dare mess with you lightly.”
Lin Sui frowned, actually pondering it for a moment.
“Then why isn’t Wen Xiangzhu afraid of me?”
“How should I know?” Xia Yi shrugged, then grabbed her towel. “I’m going to shower.”
Lin Sui fell silent, lost in thought.
But after a while, she gave up.
She really couldn’t figure it out.

Just before lights-out, Ye Shuqian finally slipped back into the dorm.
Lin Sui was already lying in bed, scrolling through her phone.
Ye Shuqian tiptoed past her bed, set down her bag, and was just about to grab her toiletries when she froze.
Lin Sui had silently sat up.
“Hiding from me?”
Ye Shuqian jumped, her knees going weak. She stood rooted to the spot, not daring to move.
“Sui… Sui-jie.”
Lin Sui rose slowly and walked up to her. “Afraid of me?”
Biting her lip, Ye Shuqian lowered her head nervously, too scared to speak.
Lin Sui didn’t press, but pulled out the chair at her desk and sat down, her tone casual. “Don’t you have anything you want to tell me?”
“I” Her lips pressed tighter, her face torn with guilt. After a long struggle, she finally whispered, “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for what?” Lin Sui asked without looking up.
“I shouldn’t have tipped off Feng Yue and the others.” Ye Shuqian bit her lip, her voice trembling. “But I was too scared to say no.”
Lin Sui narrowed her eyes, gaze lifting sharply. “What do you mean?”
“If I don’t listen to them, they’ll bully me.”
Lin Sui: “…”
Xia Yi lifted her head from the bed when she heard that.
“True enough. Feng Yue and her little gang are always bullying people.”
At those words, Lin Sui raised an eyebrow and looked over at Ye Shuqian. “So, you helped them? Aren’t you afraid I’ll bully you instead?”
“I, I am afraid.” Ye Shuqian lowered her head, her legs seeming to tremble.
And it wasn’t without reason—at school, Lin Sui had already earned a reputation as a campus tyrant.
Just last year, she had single-handedly taken on the entire soccer team and walked away unscathed. Not only that, under pressure from the Lin family, the school even gave her a “Bravery and Justice Award.”
Lin Sui knew the story had been exaggerated into legend, but she never bothered to explain.
After all, she had fought the entire soccer team on her own. That part was true.
“Right now, you just need to tell me—about that forum post. Did you know about it?” Lin Sui’s tone was calm.
Ye Shuqian shrank into herself and gave a tiny nod. “I, I knew.”
Lin Sui tapped her chin thoughtfully.
Originally, she’d wanted Ye Shuqian to post an exposé on those two people. But after thinking about it, she realized forum gossip was just petty noise. If she wanted to fix the problem at its root, it wasn’t enough to target the incident.
She’d have to deal with the people themselves.
Her gaze flickered as the thought crossed her mind. “Alright. You can go.”
“Huh?” Ye Shuqian blinked in confusion. Just like that, she was let off?
Lin Sui gave her a sidelong glance. “Do me a favor in a few days, and I’ll forgive you.”
“Yes, yes! Thank you, Sui-jie!”

The days slipped by, and soon it was time for the sports festival. Nothing unusual happened in between, and Wen Xiangzhu hadn’t brought up the matter again.
That day, the sun was blazing, the scorching heat pressing down on the earth.
Lin Sui wore a black tracksuit, her straight black hair tied back casually with an elastic, giving her a spirited air. But her expression was troubled.
She wasn’t supposed to be in the sun.
Zhu Huan had already anticipated this, and came over grinning with sunscreen and a pair of long pants. “Knew you’d forget. Hurry up, put this on and change into the pants.”
“Okay.” Lin Sui agreed and rubbed the sunscreen into her exposed skin.
Wen Xiangzhu, standing beside her, watched with a puzzled frown. “Forget what?”
Zhu Huan chuckled. “You don’t know? Lin Sui’s skin breaks out if she gets too much sun.”
She said this while tugging Lin Sui toward the teaching building.
“You can change in the restroom.”
“Mm.”
“Really?” Wen Xiangzhu’s lashes quivered. She glanced at the blazing sun above the track, then at Lin Sui’s short-sleeved shirt and shorts.
Her fair, slender limbs were completely exposed.
Even if she changed into long pants, her arms would still burn.
Would sunscreen really be enough?
Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together. There was still thirty minutes before the race.
She quickly followed after the two. “Wait a second!”
With that, she ran straight toward the campus shop.
Lin Sui paused, watching her hurry off, confusion written across her face.
Zhu Huan laughed. “Don’t stare. Come on, let’s change your pants.”
“Alright.”
At the shop, Wen Xiangzhu grabbed a pair of cooling sleeves from the rack and headed to the counter. “Auntie, I’ll take this.”
“Thirty-five.”
She paid, but as she stepped out, she bumped into several people.
She lost her balance and fell hard to the ground. Pain shot through her ankle, and the package of cooling sleeves slipped into a corner.
“Are you blind?”
The girl she had bumped snapped irritably, dabbing at the spilled water on her clothes with tissues.
Wen Xiangzhu frowned and looked up.
She didn’t recognize the loudmouthed girl—but the person beside her was Lu Rong.
“It’s you.” Seeing him, Wen Xiangzhu immediately understood. The girl must be Feng Yue.
Her lashes trembled. She gritted her teeth. “And just who are you calling blind?”
“You, of course.” Feng Yue sneered, looking down on her with disdain. “What? Lin Sui didn’t come with you? You’re nothing special on your own.”
“What’s that supposed to mean? And what does Lin Sui have to do with this? You ran into me—shouldn’t you be the one apologizing?!”
Wen Xiangzhu bit back the pain in her ankle, glaring at her.
From behind, Ye Shuqian peeked out nervously. After a moment of hesitation, she tugged at Feng Yue’s sleeve. “Forget it. She’s already fallen.”
“So what if she fell? Serves her right!” Feng Yue snorted. “Always flirting around—it’s karma.”
Then she shot Wen Xiangzhu a glare. “You got my new clothes wet. Apologize.”
“Why should I? You’re the one carrying water!” Wen Xiangzhu’s lips tightened. Her pale face flushed red with anger, making her look almost soft and doll-like.
Feng Yue narrowed her eyes, irritation mounting. Just as she raised her hand, Lu Rong caught her arm and shook his head.
“We don’t know exactly what’s going on between her and Lin Sui yet. Don’t make a move.”
Feng Yue huffed but backed down. “Fine. We’ll let you off for now. Let’s go.”
Wen Xiangzhu watched them walk away, her eyes stinging red with frustration.
She glanced down at her swollen ankle, biting her lip in grievance.
Just then, the loudspeaker crackled to life.
“Contestants for the 3000-meter run, please report to the waiting area.”
Wen Xiangzhu’s eyes widened. She suddenly remembered the cooling sleeves—still lying somewhere on the ground.
Lin Sui needed them for the race.
Her eyes misted as she wiped them with the back of her hand and started searching.
The cashier, who had seen everything, walked over and picked up the fallen package, handing it back. “Need some help?”
“I, I’m fine.” Wen Xiangzhu bit her lip. “Could you help me up? My ankle hurts.”
“Of course.”
The cashier carefully helped her stand and sighed. “I’ve seen that group before. Best keep your distance. They’re not afraid to get physical.”
“Thank you, Auntie.”
At the teaching building entrance, Feng Yue and her group came out just as Lin Sui and Zhu Huan arrived.
Like mice spotting a cat, they ducked their heads and hurried away.
Lin Sui’s eyes followed the girl at the back. Her voice was low. “That one’s Feng Yue, isn’t she?”
“Yeah.” Zhu Huan nodded.
Lin Sui withdrew her gaze. Wen Xiangzhu still hadn’t shown up, and she frowned. “Where’d she go?”
“Maybe she thought we’d left and went looking for us?” Zhu Huan guessed.
Lin Sui shook her head. “Unlikely.”
“I’ll check the shop.”
“But the broadcast is calling already.”
Zhu Huan’s eyes widened, but Lin Sui didn’t seem to hear. She headed straight for the shop, leaving Zhu Huan with no choice but to follow.
Before long, they spotted Wen Xiangzhu in the corridor, one hand bracing against the wall, the other clutching a small package as she limped slowly forward.
“Wen Xiangzhu?”
