The Stunning Omega CEO Always Wants Me to Mark Her - Chapter 12
The group was startled, whipping their heads around to see Lin Sui. At once, their bravado faltered.
After all, this was the girl who had been a black belt since elementary school, a genetically superior Alpha. She didn’t even need to lift a hand—just a trace of her pheromones was enough to make them crumble.
The faces of the boys around Chen Huaxing shifted several times before they hurriedly bowed their heads.
“Sorry, Miss Lin, we didn’t know it was you. No offense meant—really, no offense.”
“Yeah, yeah, we didn’t do it on purpose. Uh, Huaxing, I just remembered I’ve got something to do. I’ll celebrate your birthday with you another time.”
“Same here, something came up. I’ll head out first, Huaxing.”
In no time, the crowd that had surrounded him moments ago scattered, leaving Chen Huaxing standing alone, deserted.
His knees buckled, nearly dropping him to the floor.
“S-sorry, I’ll leave right now.”
“What’s the rush?” Lin Sui arched a brow, lazily reeling her pheromones back in bit by bit.
Her aura was so overwhelmingly dominant that it had spilled across the restaurant, making nearby diners hold their breath and watch the scene in uneasy silence.
Chen Huaxing forced a dry laugh. “Then…”
“From now on, whenever you see Wen Xiangzhu,” Lin Sui said slowly, “you keep a distance of ten meters. Got it?”
“Got it, got it.”
He bobbed his head, plastering on a sycophantic smile.
The Lin family’s influence was well-known. He’d have to be brain-dead to openly oppose Lin Sui.
What puzzled him was—when had Wen Xiangzhu managed to latch onto such a powerful backer? And even dine alone with her?
As he was still puzzling over it, Lin Sui shot him a look of pure disdain, as if shooing away a beggar.
“What are you standing here for? Scram.”
“Yes, yes, I’ll go right now!”
Lin Sui couldn’t shake the feeling that running into Chen Huaxing today had tainted her with bad luck. Her whole body felt unsettled.
She sat back down, only to find Wen Xiangzhu watching her, a thoughtful look in her eyes.
“What are you staring at me for?” Lin Sui asked curiously.
Wen Xiangzhu blinked, the corners of her lips curling into a soft smile. “I just thought… you looked really cool just now.”
She paused, then added, “We’re not at school right now, so I can call you ‘jiejie.’”
Lin Sui’s lashes trembled. For a split second, she froze.
Then, realizing herself, she quickly looked away. The tips of her ears grew warm, and she rushed to change the subject. “So, did you order the food yet?”
“Almost. Do you want to check the menu?” Wen Xiangzhu said softly, nudging it toward her.
Lin Sui waved the waiter over and handed over the menu.
“No need. What, you think I can’t afford to pay?”
“That’s not it.” Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together. “I just worry you won’t like what I ordered.”
Lin Sui gave her a glance. “Hmm… it’s fine. I can eat anything. This restaurant seems good.”
“Alright.”
—
When they returned to the classroom after dinner, Zhu Huan was already at her desk.
Lin Sui dropped into her seat beside her and casually asked, “So, how was your date?”
“What date? It was just a totally normal meal with a friend,” Zhu Huan replied.
“Uh-huh. An Alpha and an Omega, dining alone as ‘normal friends.’ I get it, I understand. No need to make excuses.” Lin Sui smirked knowingly.
Zhu Huan shot her a glare. “And what about you? Didn’t you just have dinner alone with Wen Xiangzhu?”
Lin Sui’s smile froze. “That’s different, okay?”
“How is it different?”
“My relationship with her is just… not like yours. It’s not the same.”
“Oh, I see. You and your ‘friend’ aren’t ordinary at all.” Zhu Huan chuckled.
Lin Sui: “…”
—
Ten minutes before evening self-study ended, Yang Li came by to talk about the upcoming sports festival.
Wen Xiangzhu turned around, curiosity flickering in her eyes. “What events are you signing up for?”
“Probably long-distance running and high jump,” Lin Sui answered casually.
Wen Xiangzhu nodded thoughtfully before turning back around.
After evening study ended, she packed her schoolbag, her gaze landing on the lemon tea sitting at the corner of her desk. She hesitated.
“Wenwen, let’s go, back to the dorm,” Lu Xiaomeng said, getting up.
“Okay.”
Wen Xiangzhu lowered her eyes, but in the end, she picked up the cup.
“You’ve had that all day. Why didn’t you drink it?” Lu Xiaomeng asked curiously. She hadn’t been in class earlier when it appeared, so she didn’t know the story.
Wen Xiangzhu’s lashes quivered. “I don’t want it. I’ll throw it away later.”
“Throw it away?” Lu Xiaomeng’s eyes widened. “Why?”
“Just don’t want it,” Wen Xiangzhu murmured.
The lemon tea had been slipped to Lin Sui in secret, along with a little note.
The moment Wen Xiangzhu saw it, her chest twisted with discomfort. It just rubbed her the wrong way.
So, passing by a trash bin, she tossed the lemon tea in.
But the note—she kept.
She needed to find a chance to compare the handwriting, to see exactly who it was…
—
That night in the dorm, Zhu Huan was scrolling the forum when her expression grew serious.
She stood up and went straight to Lin Sui.
“Quick, you need to see this post.”
Lin Sui was tidying up her desk organizer. Hearing the urgency in her friend’s voice, she turned her head.
The title of the post read:
[Shocking Scandal About the Top Student of the Year!!!]
When Lin Sui saw the words “top of the grade,” she instinctively thought of Wen Xiangzhu.
[Went to a fancy restaurant today and happened to see the grade’s top student having dinner with a certain young lady from our school. One Alpha, one Omega, dining alone—you know what that means.]
[Supplement: the top student is an Omega, and that Alpha even stood up for her. (Not naming names, but everyone can imagine. The information is absolutely reliable.)]
After reading the main post, Lin Sui’s gaze darkened slightly.
Zhu Huan glanced at Xia Yi, who was wearing headphones not far away, and at Ye Shuqian, who had already gone to bed early. She lowered her voice and asked,
“Are they talking about you and Wen Xiangzhu?”
“Yes.”
Lin Sui drew in a slow breath. “I ran into Chen Huaxing and his little gang today. Gave them a bit of a scare.”
The comments below were filled with speculation:
[You said ‘top of the grade,’ but which grade exactly?]
[Yeah, how are we supposed to guess like this?]
[Okay, I just checked. This month’s exams—the only grade toppers who are Omegas are in Year 2 and Year 3!]
[Nice detective work, that narrows it down.]
Lin Sui rolled her eyes and pulled her gaze away.
“These people really have nothing better to do. Let them guess all they want.”
Zhu Huan hesitated. “Are you sure it’s fine? Should I ask someone to get the post deleted?”
“It’s fine.” Lin Sui narrowed her eyes slightly. “Stop refreshing the forum. Let’s play a game.”
“Alright.”
By now, Lin Sui had already given up on trying.
Since she wasn’t going to sleep anyway, she might as well stay up all night.
The inevitable result of an all-nighter gaming session was that both she and Zhu Huan were drowsy in class the next day.
Between periods, Yang Li walked over to their desk and asked,
“What were you two up to last night? Why do you look so tired?”
Zhu Huan chuckled. “We just… played a little too long.”
Given the strength of both the Lin and Zhu families, Yang Li, their homeroom teacher, naturally paid them extra attention.
She sighed with a helpless smile. “You need to rest when it’s time to rest. Whatever you want to play, do it during the day.”
“Got it.”
Lin Sui straightened sluggishly. “I promise I won’t sleep in the next class.”
Yang Li laughed. “The next class is P.E. Even if you want to nap, you won’t get the chance. Haven’t you noticed most of your classmates are already gone?”
Startled, Lin Sui finally realized the once-full classroom had indeed emptied out.
“Alright then, wake up and head down for class.” Yang Li patted both girls on the shoulder before leaving.
Lin Sui let out a sigh, slowly rising to her feet. “Let’s go.”
She was talking to Zhu Huan, but at the same time, Wen Xiangzhu—who had been working on problems at the desk in front—put her pen down. She stood and tugged gently at Lu Xiaomeng’s sleeve.
“Let’s go. Class is starting soon.”
“Okay.” Lu Xiaomeng carefully tucked away the novel she’d been sneaking a read at and got up.
Wen Xiangzhu and Lu Xiaomeng followed behind Lin Sui and Zhu Huan as they left the classroom, two pairs separated by a small distance.
Glancing between Wen Xiangzhu and Lin Sui up ahead, Lu Xiaomeng finally couldn’t hold back.
“Wenwen, can I ask you something?”
“What is it?”
“Do you… like her?”
At that, Wen Xiangzhu’s lashes trembled. She shifted her gaze away from Lin Sui, lips pressed tightly together. Her steps slowed noticeably.
“No.”
“No?”
Lu Xiaomeng sounded skeptical. “But it feels like you care about Lin Sui a lot.”
Wen Xiangzhu lowered her head, saying nothing.
Seeing this, Lu Xiaomeng sighed, as if she had figured it out.
“Don’t think too much. Lin Sui and Zhu Huan are both Alphas born with top-tier genes. They’re the darlings of fate—way out of reach for ordinary people like us.”
She paused, then gave Wen Xiangzhu’s hand a firm squeeze.
“But I understand you.”
Wen Xiangzhu: “…”
In truth, things between her and Lin Sui… weren’t nearly so simple.

P.E. went the same as always: a warm-up jog around the track, then free activity.
Lin Sui found a shaded spot to sit and play on her phone for a while. When she looked up, she saw Wen Xiangzhu, Zhu Huan, and several others borrowing sports equipment from the storage shed.
Zhu Huan looked back at her. “Come play tennis with us!”
“I’ll pass. You guys go ahead.”
“Alright.”
Watching them head toward the tennis courts, Lin Sui dropped her gaze again.
Just then, a girl approached her.
“Um…”
Lin Sui blinked in surprise, looking up suspiciously.
She recognized the girl as an Omega from their class, but her presence was so faint that Lin Sui couldn’t even recall her name.
The girl’s ears flushed red as she held out a bottled drink.
“This is for you.”
“For me?” Lin Sui frowned in confusion.
“Y-yeah. I went to the campus shop earlier and bought the wrong thing. I thought it wasn’t soda, but it is… So I’ll give it to you instead. No need to waste it.”
With that, she shoved the bottle into Lin Sui’s hands and hurried off.
Left holding the drink, Lin Sui looked utterly baffled.
After a moment, she gave a helpless sigh, setting it down beside her as if to accept it.
Not far away, Wen Xiangzhu gripped her tennis racket, staring blankly in Lin Sui’s direction. The light in her eyes flickered.
“Wenwen? Go fetch the ball.”
“…Oh. Right.”
