The Stunning Omega CEO Always Wants Me to Mark Her - Chapter 1
At the end of September, Yun City had been drenched in rain for days, the skies heavy and gray.
By the time the lunch break ended, the classroom of Class Two, Grade Eleven, buzzed faintly with conversations.
Lin Sui sat with her head down, scrolling through the school forum on her phone. A new post had just gone up—an Alpha venting about getting rejected after confessing for the first time.
[Honestly, guys, I don’t get it. My family background is solid, and my grades are near the top of the year. I’ve been alive more than a decade, and this was my first real confession—I even wrote a love letter! But an Omega actually rejected me!??? Sure, she’s pretty and smart, but come on, I’m the better catch here. How could she turn me down?!]
The comments rolled in, one after another.
[Aren’t there only a few Omegas in our school? Who here even has top grades?]
[You’re out of the loop. There’s a transfer student in Grade Eleven this year—an Omega. Pale skin, beautiful, doesn’t talk much. Exactly the type the OP described. Has to be her!]
Transfer student? There was only one transfer in their year. Which meant…
Lin Sui lifted her gaze lazily toward the girl sitting in front of her, the corners of her brows arching slightly.
Wen Xiangzhu. No wonder she was popular.
Lin Sui narrowed her eyes, then looked back down at her phone.
[What I don’t get is, why should she have to like you? Who even are you, OP, getting this salty over a rejection?]
[He said his grades are top of the year and he’s an Alpha. Not hard to guess who that is. Honestly, I’ve already figured it out.]
[What’s there to guess? Not to brag, but I was there when it happened…]
“Hey, Sui-jie, I’ve got some major gossip for you!”
Lin Sui was absorbed in the thread when a girl’s voice piped up beside her.
“What?” Her finger twitched, locking the screen as she cast a glance at her deskmate. “Hand.”
Alphas were territorial—even if it was just a shared desk, having someone encroach on her space was irritating.
Zhu Huan raised a brow, clicked her tongue, but obediently pulled her hand back. Lowering her voice, she said, “Before you got here this morning, another Alpha confessed to Wen Xiangzhu. And get this—it was the top student of our year.”
“Oh.”
Leaning back in her chair, Lin Sui lifted her eyes to the girl sitting in front of her, her voice flat as she idly twirled a pen. “And?”
“What do you mean, and? Of course she rejected him.” Zhu Huan shrugged with a sigh. “Beauty’s a dangerous thing. Even the year’s number one—you know, the guy who usually looks down his nose at everyone—turned into her little lapdog. You should’ve seen his face when she turned him down. Priceless.”
She chuckled, then added, “Makes you wonder what kind of person someone like Wen Xiangzhu would actually fall for.”
Lin Sui’s pen stilled. She casually picked up the carton of milk she hadn’t finished earlier, took a sip, and let her gaze linger on the silky ends of the girl’s ponytail in front of her.
Just then, Wen Xiangzhu shifted in her seat, turning around. Her clear, bright eyes met Lin Sui’s as she reached over and placed a candy on her desk.
“It’s mint. Helps you stay awake.”
The curtain fluttered with the wind, a beam of sunlight spilling across the tip of Wen Xiangzhu’s nose before retreating behind the fabric once again.
Lin Sui looked at her quietly, expression unreadable. “I don’t like mint.”
Wen Xiangzhu blinked, long lashes casting a faint shadow under her eyes. Her lips pressed together, but she said nothing—nor did she take the candy back. Instead, she simply turned around again.
Lin Sui watched her for a moment longer, then went back to her milk.
For the past two weeks since school had started, her front-desk partner had always been the same: dressed in the loose blue-and-white school uniform, hair tied in a neat mid-height ponytail, every move proper and obedient.
The model student—likable to a fault.
Zhu Huan, watching from the side, smirked. “One candy every day, and never the same flavor. So, what’s your favorite, then?”
Lin Sui shot her a glance, stood up, and said, “Didn’t eat enough at lunch. I’m going to the shop.”
The school store sat on the ground floor of the building, set up inside an old classroom.
It was fairly crowded, small groups of students gathering and chatting.
Lin Sui walked down an aisle, grabbed a bag of bread, and was about to leave when voices from nearby froze her steps.
“Are you sure? The new Omega in Class Two?”
“Positive. Heard it straight from Chen Huaxing’s buddy. You’ve liked Chen Huaxing forever, and then a transfer student swoops in—and still has the nerve to reject him?”
“What a snub!”
“Exactly. Isn’t that a slap in the face?”
One of the girls suddenly noticed Lin Sui standing there. She tugged on her friend’s sleeve, whispering, “Shut up—Lin Sui’s here.”
Their faces changed instantly. Like they’d just seen a ghost, they dropped their heads and hurried to the register.
Lin Sui’s face darkened. She clenched the vacuum-packed bread in her hand, shot a glance toward the doorway, then turned and headed to the cashier.
By now, break time was nearly over. The hallways were emptying as students trickled back to class. But Lin Sui didn’t go straight to the room. Instead, she leaned against the wall at the third-floor corner, her expression blank as she listened to the sharp rhythm of approaching footsteps.
Soon, a slim figure appeared, breath quick and uneven, eyes flickering with panic.
“In such a hurry?”
At the sound of her voice, Wen Xiangzhu froze mid-step. The pretty Omega stopped in front of her, lowering her head nervously, lips caught between her teeth. A faint flush spread across her pale cheeks, making her look even more delicate.
“S-sis… Sister…”
“Don’t call me that at school.” Lin Sui’s face was stern.
“…Okay.” Wen Xiangzhu’s gaze dropped, lashes trembling as they shaded her eyes. “I know.”
Sunlight streamed through the hallway windows, casting a soft glow across Lin Sui’s sharp features, blurring their harshness.
Her narrow eyes drooped lazily, giving her an air of indifference that somehow made it impossible to look away.
In front of her, Wen Xiangzhu seemed utterly obedient, head bowed, not daring to talk back.
After watching her for a few seconds, Lin Sui’s gaze darkened. “Don’t run around if there’s nothing urgent.”
Seventeen years old, and the Alpha’s presence already carried weight. For an Omega like Wen Xiangzhu, resisting that influence was nearly impossible.
She flinched slightly, her eyes turning red, dazed and bewildered.
Lin Sui’s expression tightened, her patience finally wearing thin. She withdrew her pheromones and said curtly, “Go back. Don’t follow me.”
With that, her gaze flicked to the identical loaf of bread in the other girl’s hand. She gave a soft, derisive laugh, then turned and walked toward the classroom.
The moment she sat back down in her seat, Zhu Huan gave her a strange look.
“Buying a snack, and you already look like someone offended you?”
Zhu Huan was an Alpha too, and since she had grown up with Lin Sui, she was quick to catch the faint trace of pheromones still lingering in the air.
“No one.”
Lin Sui tossed off the reply casually. Just then, Wen Xiangzhu entered from the back door and quietly returned to her seat.
The two of them came in one after the other but didn’t exchange a single word. Zhu Huan was used to this odd atmosphere, but today it felt… heavier somehow.
Something’s off.
The class bell rang. Their homeroom teacher, Yang Li, walked in carrying a thick stack of papers. The sharp clack of her heels echoed until she stopped at the lectern.
Her wavy hair was casually tied into a low ponytail at the back of her head. She adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on her face, set the papers down, and braced one hand against the desk.
“The monthly exams are next week. Afterward comes the National Day holiday. These are dormitory application forms. Anyone who needs one, fill it out and hand it to the class monitor before the end of the day. Remember, if you’re staying, bring your luggage a day early so we can assign dorms. Understood?”
“Understood.”
“Good.” Yang Li nodded, then looked toward the seats. “Class monitor, hand these out.”
Obedient as ever, Wen Xiangzhu rose, walked to the front, and took the stack of forms. She carefully counted and passed them down row by row.
Lin Sui perked up with interest. When the form landed on her desk, she twirled her pen between her fingers, itching to fill it in.
“Sui-jie, are you really going to board at school?” Zhu Huan tilted back her chair, idly spinning a ballpoint pen in her hand as she asked.
“Mm… thinking about it.”
Lin Sui looked up. Wen Xiangzhu had already sat back down, the tips of her hair brushing across Lin Sui’s desk, leaving behind a faint, sweet strawberry scent.
Zhu Huan straightened her chair legs squarely against the floor.
“Then hurry up and decide. If you stay, I’ll stay too. We can room together.”
“Fine.”
Lin Sui answered lightly, dropped her gaze, and studied the form.
Truthfully, boarding or not didn’t make much difference to her. Home was obviously more comfortable—she had a driver, a housekeeper for meals, a spacious room. But…
If she didn’t board, she’d have to see Wen Xiangzhu every single day.
Their bedrooms at home were right next to each other, they shared the same car to and from school, and it was unavoidable—faces up close day in and day out.
Their relationship wasn’t nearly good enough for that kind of closeness.
Thinking this, Lin Sui lifted her eyes. Wen Xiangzhu seemed completely absorbed in her exercises, never once touching her application form.
It wasn’t until the bell rang again that Lin Sui lazily pulled her gaze back.
So, she was right—Wen Xiangzhu had no intention of boarding.
Makes sense. After all, after moving into a luxury villa, who would willingly squeeze back into a dorm?
One after another, students started handing their forms to Wen Xiangzhu. Watching for a while, Lin Sui finally made up her mind. She lowered her head and began filling in her own form.
Zhu Huan leaned closer to peek. “So you’ve decided to board?”
“Yeah.”
Lin Sui nodded.
Zhu Huan arched a brow and quickly grabbed her pen. “Then I’m in too.”
Hearing that, Lin Sui glanced at her, then slid her completed form over. “When you’re done, we’ll hand them in together.”
“Why don’t you just give it yourself—”
Before she could finish, Wen Xiangzhu suddenly turned around. Her gaze brushed lightly over Lin Sui, then settled on the form. Reaching out, she pinched it between her fingertips and pulled it away.
“Give it to me first.”
“…?”
Zhu Huan’s brows twitched. She looked at Wen Xiangzhu, then back at Lin Sui, whose expression was faintly complicated. With a sigh, she whispered reassurance:
“Don’t take it the wrong way… the class monitor’s just being diligent.”
“…Oh.”
But Lin Sui didn’t believe that. Snatching her form away like that had nothing to do with diligence.
Still, at least the little shadow who followed her everywhere—not even going to the bathroom alone—seemed genuinely uninterested in filling out her own application.
At dismissal, Wen Xiangzhu gathered all the forms and carried them off to the teachers’ office.
Lin Sui slung her bag casually over her shoulder and walked out with Zhu Huan.
“Want to go shopping? I heard a new milk-tea shop opened near Luxing. Supposedly amazing—there’s always a long line.” Zhu Huan suggested.
“Not today.” Lin Sui paused. “My driver’s waiting. After exams, maybe.”
“Alright.” Zhu Huan nodded. At the gate, she climbed into her family’s car. “See you after midterms, Sui-jie.”
Lin Sui waved, watching the car disappear down the street. Then she crossed the road, turning into a quieter lane.
There weren’t many people here, just a single luxury car parked by itself.
She had made it clear long ago: no one was to know about her and Wen Xiangzhu’s family ties. The driver always parked some distance from the school, and the two of them walked separately.
The chauffeur was scrolling on his phone. Spotting Lin Sui, he greeted her, then glanced past her as if expecting someone.
“Miss, um… where’s Second Miss?”
“She went to the office. She’ll be a while.”
Lin Sui’s tone was flat.
“Understood.”
She dropped her bag onto the seat—then froze.
On the seat beside her sat two pristine white shopping bags. Curious, she picked one up, peeking inside.
“What’s this? Review materials?”
Frowning, she grabbed the other bag.
“Also review materials… why buy two of the same thing?”
“Madam said both you and Second Miss should each have a set.”
“…”
Lin Sui’s face stiffened. She pressed her lips together, staring at the bag with a complicated expression before tossing it back with a hint of disdain.
One set each?
Who wanted to have matching things with that little shadow?!
—
In the office.
Wen Xiangzhu obediently pulled out a chair and sat down, finally lowering her head to fill out her form.
Yang Li sipped from her thermos and smiled. “So you didn’t fill it in all afternoon, but now you’ve changed your mind?”
At that, the girl’s pen paused. Her gaze lingered for two seconds on the form beside hers—where Lin Sui’s name was written.
“Because… I’ve just decided now.”
Yang Li nodded, took the finished form, and set it aside.
As Wen Xiangzhu stood to leave, she hesitated, then looked back.
“Teacher… can an Alpha and an Omega stay in the same dorm?”
