The Scumbag Alpha's Plan to Save the Female Lead - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Fu Jinyan spent a long time knocking before the Ruan family’s door finally opened.
Inside the house, there was no Ruan Ye, whom he had been thinking about, only her pair of deadbeat foster parents.
As soon as the two saw it was him, they rushed out of the room to greet him warmly.
Fu Jinyan asked and learned that debt collectors had come to their door, which was why they had been hiding inside and dared not open the door.
He suppressed his anger: “Then where is Ruan Ye?”
Ruan Ye’s foster father’s eyes darted around slyly. He played dumb, repeatedly rubbing his right thumb and index finger to hint for money.
Given Fu Jinyan’s financial power, the Ruan family’s small debt was practically negligible.
But until Ruan Ye was willing to obey, he had no intention of clearing the debt. Instead, he hoped this pair of gamblers would lose more and more, ideally accumulating a debt Ruan Ye could never repay even if she worked for a lifetime.
Only this way could he completely control Ruan Ye.
After some effort, Fu Jinyan finally learned Ruan Ye’s whereabouts.
It turned out that Ruan Ye had moved out two days ago with the help of a man.
This attempt at playing hard-to-get was going too far.
Fu Jinyan sneered internally. Fortunately, she had school and couldn’t run away. When he returned to Norrington tomorrow, he must teach this woman, who didn’t even notify him when she moved, a lesson.
Early the next morning, Zhi Qiu endured her discomfort and got out of bed.
Although no problems could be detected in her body during examination, she was indeed seriously ill. To convince Dr. Mu to allow her discharge yesterday, she had promised to return to the hospital every night for check-ups.
The original owner’s parents were very busy. Zhi Ze’en was the company’s CEO, and Du Fang was the editor-in-chief of a famous international magazine. They were constantly flying abroad and genuinely didn’t have time to care about the minor external injury to her leg.
However, the original body was too weak. Once the condition flared up, the pain was so agonizing that it felt like her internal organs were suffering, making her want to die on the spot.
Zhi Qiu didn’t want to miss any chance to see Ruan Ye, but under the current circumstances, she clearly couldn’t go to school on her own.
After careful consideration, she still took out her phone and called Yuan Menglu, who had accompanied her to handle the readmission procedures yesterday.
Since her rebirth, the person she trusted most was Shang Wu, followed by Yuan Menglu.
At the Norrington school gate.
Although she complained verbally, her body was honest.
Yuan Menglu, with sleepy eyes, got up early and asked the driver to move the wheelchair to the school gate, waiting for the person who had asked her to go to school together.
She was already a prominent figure in the school, and now with a wheelchair next to her, it made people turn their heads even more.
Noticing these gazes, Yuan Menglu glared with her phoenix eyes and snorted, “Stare any longer, and see if I don’t gouge your eyeballs out.”
Several wealthy students quickly withdrew their lingering gazes, not daring to directly face this famously spoiled and difficult girl of Norrington.
While waiting, a cockroach crawled under her exquisite high-heeled leather shoes. She screamed and ran away, not forgetting to drag the wheelchair in her hand to prevent the insect from getting onto Zhi Qiu’s seat.
More than a school, Norrington was like a social hub for the wealthy, where everyone built connections, learned company operations, and the ways of business.
Except for a few specially admitted students, no one paid attention to the school rules. The rich second-generation students only selectively attended the courses they needed, spending the saved time interning at their own family companies.
Ruan Ye’s long, raven hair was tied up high, and she obediently wore a washed-out, faded uniform.
She had just moved into a new home, which should have been a joyful occasion, but she hadn’t slept all night.
When she saw Yuan Menglu pushing the wheelchair and waiting at the school gate, Ruan Ye suddenly recalled the hand that had wiped away her tears yesterday.
She frowned, and for some unknown reason, she used her foot to crush the cockroach into a flat, oval pancake.
During the morning rush hour, a black McLaren drove very slowly and steadily on the road. The car was not overly ostentatious, but the license plate was far from low-key, constantly showing the owner’s status.
Therefore, even if someone was in a hurry for work, no car attempted to speed past on the narrow side lane.
Being late was a minor issue, only losing a perfect attendance bonus.
If they accidentally scratched this car, the insurance payout would be over a hundred thousand, and they probably wouldn’t be able to buy affordable car insurance next year.
Cars continuously yielded the way, allowing the driver to quickly drive the car to the Norrington entrance.
Yuan Menglu recognized the license plate, pushed the wheelchair to the car door, and before the person inside could get out, she couldn’t help but complain, “I’m dying of heat, what took you so long?”
Everyone had a different personality. Some habitually kept everything bottled up, while others always had a high desire to share.
“Just now a bug scared me to death, blah blah blah…”
“Oh, right, I think I just saw the person who bumped into you yesterday.”
Hearing this, Zhi Qiu was stunned: “Let’s hurry and go inside.”
She didn’t know what would happen today, or how far the plot had progressed. She needed to be by Ruan Ye’s side.
The morning self-study bell hadn’t rung yet, and Ruan Ye, who had arrived early to the classroom to study, was ambushed at the corner of the stairs. A pair of hands covered her mouth, and she was mercilessly dragged into the cramped changing room.
As she struggled, she looked up and saw Fu Jinyan’s arrogant face.
Fu Jinyan was increasingly irritated after failing to find Ruan Ye yesterday. He was habitually domineering, so he aggressively squeezed the girl’s frail chin and spoke harshly: “Who helped you move? Song Rang, that little celebrity? Do you think you’re so pretty that you can play them all against each other? I’m telling you, those A’s just think you’re pretty and want to toy with you. Only I truly want to marry you and make you my wife.”
Ruan Ye’s fingers clawed at Fu Jinyan’s right hand, which was clutching her neck. Her tied-up ponytail had fallen into disarray, and her body struggled desperately, like a fish about to dry up on land.
“Don’t you dare slander Brother Song Rang. I have no relationship with you, and I never agreed to marry you.”
The girl’s words somehow infuriated Fu Jinyan. He said angrily: “I pay for your grandmother’s registration, consultation, hospitalization, and medication every month. What is that if not keeping you? You actually think you are clean and have no connection with me?”
In his anger, a bit of Alpha pheromone accidentally leaked out. Fu Jinyan noticed it, but in his rage, he made no attempt to control it. Instead, he watched with a sneer to see how the previously stubborn girl would handle it.
Omegas are inherently extremely sensitive to pheromones. Almost instantly, Ruan Ye’s body went limp. Dominated by instinct, she uncontrollably slumped onto the floor, panting.
Seeing her stop struggling, Fu Jinyan smiled. He laced his fingers with the girl’s left hand, which had been clawing at him, and mockingly laughed: “Beg me, and I’ll withdraw the pheromones and get you an inhibitor. Otherwise, I’ll leave right now, and in less than half an hour, the whole school will know you uncontrollably went into heat in the changing room.”
Ding-a-ling!
The morning class bell had rung.
Ruan Ye wasn’t in the classroom, which made Zhi Qiu restless.
She was about to leave to search when a familiar sour, green apple scent—Alpha pheromones—entered the air.
With a loud crash, the wheelchair knocked over the desk in front of it.
Standing on the podium was Ren Yi. He operated a tech company, had studied finance, and was invited by the school to impart some entrepreneurial experience to these wealthy students.
Although respectfully called a “teacher,” he hadn’t actually signed a contract with Norrington. He was just doing a favor, having to take a few days off to support the school’s image.
Hearing the noise, he turned his gaze to this “famous” problem student, but he only saw her face was grim, as if she was desperate to rush over and kill someone.
Ren Yi put down the chalk and walked up to Zhi Qiu, but before he could speak, the person in the wheelchair grabbed his collar and forced him aside.
Although he was an Alpha, he hadn’t felt the faint Omega pheromones in the air. But soon, under the suppression of Zhi Qiu’s pheromones, who was also an A, he realized something was wrong in the school.
A high-level A’s pheromones usually wouldn’t go out of control unless a closely bonded O was showing signs of heat nearby.
To avoid affecting the O’s in the class, Ren Yi endured Zhi Qiu’s indiscriminate pheromone attack and struggled to push the wheelchair out of the classroom.
Passing Yuan Menglu’s seat, Zhi Qiu snatched her backpack. She knew Yuan Menglu always kept an Omega-specific inhibitor in her bag.
Almost as soon as Ren Yi pushed the wheelchair out of the classroom, Zhi Qiu abandoned him, pushing the wheelchair with her hands at the fastest speed toward the direction where the pheromones were leaking.
In the end, human legs were still faster than a manual wheelchair. Ren Yi quickly caught up with Zhi Qiu.
The two worked together: Zhi Qiu pointed the direction, and Ren Yi was responsible for sprinting.
“Student Zhi, do you have an inhibitor with you?”
As they got closer to the destination, Ren Yi finally detected the scent of Omega pheromones.
When a higher-level Alpha’s pheromones were raging, other A’s would not go into heat. Instead, they would suffer psychological damage from the superior pheromones. Ren Yi was only able to push the wheelchair by sheer force of will.
“I only have an Omega inhibitor. Get the person out first, then worry about me.”
Five minutes passed, and Fu Jinyan still hadn’t waited for Ruan Ye to submit to him.
He irritably released the hand gripping Ruan Ye’s neck, annoyed at his own impulsiveness.
He got up, preparing to go out and find an Omega inhibitor.
From the moment they entered, Ruan Ye had been holding a sharp key in her palm. Seeing Fu Jinyan relax, she could no longer hide the gloom in her eyes. Using her last bit of strength, she aimed the key—carelessly dropped by someone in the changing room—at his exposed neck.
A critical moment.
The changing room door rattled. The girl holding the key realized something. She twisted her wrist, changed the direction of the key, and aimed it at her own neck.
The door was kicked open by Ren Yi. Two people burst in. The one in the wheelchair lunged forward, reaching out to snatch the key the girl was using to cut her own neck.
Fu Jinyan looked at the two arrivals with a surprised expression, but before he could figure out why they were there.
He quickly couldn’t withstand the high-intensity pheromones emanating from Zhi Qiu and painfully curled up on the ground.
The major artery on Ruan Ye’s neck was tightly pressed by Zhi Qiu’s hand. The sharp tip of the key had carved a bloody, mangled scar on her right arm.
The pheromones in the air were no longer attacking him alone indiscriminately.
This allowed Ren Yi to finally catch his breath. He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
If he and Zhi Qiu hadn’t arrived in time, a life would likely have been lost.
