The People I've Been With Have All Become Obsessive [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 5
Bai Song trembled as she cried out, “Wh-what do you want from me? I was wrong, okay? I admit I was wrong!”
The System: “…”
Tong Yao laughed, her smile pale and cruel. The corners of her lips curled into a cold arc as she whispered softly, “Just an apology? Of course that’s not enough.”
Bai Song was so terrified her soul nearly left her body, her words stumbling incoherently.
Tong Yao pressed a finger lightly against Bai Song’s lips, her deep eyes brimming with mockery. “You have no money, no sincerity so this is all you can offer.”
“!” It felt like a thunderbolt had struck her. Bai Song’s eyes nearly popped out of her head.
Sis, I’m already tainted, and you still want me?
“D-don’t you hate me?” she managed to whimper.
“Hate you? Of course I do.” Tong Yao’s expression darkened abruptly, her gaze so vicious it seemed to strip flesh from Bai Song’s bones. But just as quickly, she calmed, baring her teeth like a predator eyeing her prey. “It’s because I hate you so much that I’m going to torment you.”
With a smirk, Tong Yao lifted Bai Song’s chin, her tone teasing. “Didn’t you dislike me? Well, now I’ll make sure you can never leave my side!”
“…” Wait, isn’t the logic here a bit off?
Shouldn’t it be, “I got tired of your antics, so now I’ll make sure you stay tired of them forever”?
The blandness of their past was already suffocating, if things got any spicier, Bai Song didn’t know how she’d survive.
Her pupils shook, her resistance plain as day.
The seductive, scheming one was the original Bai Song, not her. She was an innocent soul, unprepared for such colorful experiences.
Tong Yao’s eyes turned icy in an instant. She pressed a hand heavily onto Bai Song’s shoulder, pinning her down without mercy.
Tong Yao’s body was like a block of ice cold, unyielding. Even before contact, a chilling aura seeped into Bai Song’s pores, making her shiver uncontrollably.
She watched with amusement as Bai Song’s eyes widened in terror, her face flushing from the lack of air. Leaning close to her ear, Tong Yao’s voice stabbed into Bai Song’s eardrums like an icicle: “Bai Song, you’ll never escape my grasp in this lifetime.”
“Bai Song, didn’t you love running wild and free? I’ll let you run. I’ll let you wander. But the moment you left me, you should’ve known this would happen!”
No, I didn’t know. I absolutely didn’t see this coming.
Bai Song never imagined Tong Yao could love her to such an extreme.
Neither did the System!
How could a character’s personality collapse to this extent? It was a complete polar opposite!
Both the host and the system were stunned, unsure how to react.
Tong Yao, however, was genuinely pleased, her smile reaching her eyes.
Bai Song only felt colder, her teeth chattering audibly.
When Tong Yao raised her hand, Bai Song flinched, squeezing her eyes shut, expecting a strike.
Instead, Tong Yao simply pulled open the bedside drawer.
Bai Song’s eyelashes fluttered. If not for Tong Yao’s weight holding her down, she would’ve bolted off the bed instantly.
She stared at Tong Yao in shock. “Y-you!” Sis, no, no, I take back what I said about getting tired of this. This is gonna kill me.
“What about me?” Tong Yao grinned while Bai Song’s eye twitched violently, half her face spasming.
Tong Yao cooed, “Song Song, do you like this new twist?”
Like your grandma’s leg! Bai Song wailed internally. In reality, she wanted to cry even more, but she didn’t dare let a single tear fall. She could only stare at Tong Yao in horror.
“Y-you, stay away!” It was too late for pleas now, but Bai Song couldn’t help speaking her heart was pounding with terror.
She was genuinely afraid, feeling as though her intestines were twisting into knots inside her stomach.
With every step Tong Yao took closer, Bai Song’s fear multiplied tenfold.
When Tong Yao’s lips neared hers, Bai Song couldn’t help but imagine those crimson lips devouring her bite by bite. Instinctively, she turned her head away.
The soft lips brushed past her cheek, missing their mark. Tong Yao didn’t get angry instead, she let out a low, amused chuckle.
“What’s wrong? Don’t want me to kiss you? Does it hurt that much?”
Bai Song braced herself, half-expecting Tong Yao to say, Then I’ll make sure to kiss you until you suffocate.
As absurd as it sounded, given Tong Yao’s twisted tendencies, it wasn’t entirely impossible.
But would Tong Yao ever be so predictable?
With a cold sneer, Tong Yao hissed, “Bai Song, you brought this upon yourself!”
Bai Song bit her lip. “Yao Yao, please let me go.”
Little did she know, in this situation, neither resistance nor begging would make any difference.
Sure enough, Tong Yao’s expression darkened, the fire in her eyes burning even fiercer.
She gripped Bai Song’s chin, forcing her to meet her gaze.
Bai Song immediately struggled, biting down on her lower lip, stubbornly refusing to make a sound though in the end, she was no match for Tong Yao’s strength.
Whimpering, Bai Song broke into sobs, pleading desperately.
Her voice grew hoarse from crying, while Tong Yao’s hand became slick with tears.
Tong Yao smirked, leisurely remarking, “Song Song, what do your tears taste like? Bitter?”
Bai Song hiccuped between sobs, her shoulders trembling like a wounded, abandoned animal curling in on itself.
Her damp eyes blinked rapidly, resembling a frightened fawn at dawn, adorable yet pitiful.
Her eyelids drooped weakly, too exhausted to even lift them.
Regret flooded her. She never should have taken on this mission.
But the system had been disabled right at the start of the game she couldn’t even activate pain suppression.
Cold. So cold.
Pain. So much pain.
Yet,
Tong Yao stood up, eyeing Bai Song’s miserable state before curling her lips into a mocking sneer.
She leaned over the bed, lightly patting Bai Song’s cheek. “Can’t handle it already? Oh, don’t be like that, this is just the beginning.”
Bai Song shivered violently, her lashes fluttering.
Slowly, she opened her eyes, her dark pupils brimming with sorrow and betrayal as if she couldn’t believe the person who once loved her so deeply could treat her like this.
For a fleeting moment, Tong Yao faltered under that heart-wrenching, accusatory gaze, a pang of guilt flashing through her before irritation swiftly took over.
Fake. It’s all fake.
She knew Bai Song was in pain so what? When she had been hurting, Bai Song had been out there living it up.
And now, acting all innocent? If she’d known this would happen, she should’ve thought twice before betraying her.
They could’ve had a peaceful life together, but Bai Song had chosen to fly her colors elsewhere.
Well, if she dared to fly them, Tong Yao would snap the flagpole holding them up.
Watching as Bai Song’s flushed face paled to a sickly white, Tong Yao clenched her fists, struggling to suppress the turmoil inside.
She had prided herself on her self-control, but it seemed she’d overestimated it. The moment she touched Bai Song, all reason deserted her.
Her crimson eyes bore into Bai Song like a predator eyeing a fish on the chopping block.
Bai Song lowered her gaze, her brow unconsciously furrowing slightly. Pain and shame made it impossible for her to face Tong Yao directly, so she tugged at the blanket, trying to cover every mark on her body.
Surprisingly, Tong Yao didn’t stop her perhaps wary of pushing her too hard all at once.
Knowing when to quit, Tong Yao leisurely pulled out a tissue and meticulously wiped her hands, not missing even the spaces between her fingers.
After savoring Bai Song’s humiliated expression to her satisfaction, Tong Yao left without another word.
