The People I've Been With Have All Become Obsessive [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 3
After Tong Yao left, Bai Song quickly moved out as well.
Knowing her fate would be miserable, Bai Song wasn’t eager to descend into hell just yet. While she still had some money left, she decided to enjoy life while she could.
She kept only the apartment she had shared with Tong Yao, mortgaged all her other properties, and withdrew a portion of the cash to splurge on herself. The rest she invested in a senior she had once flirted with.
It wasn’t that she particularly liked this senior, it was just that she wouldn’t have much use for money later on, so she might as well do her a favor.
The senior had a decent dream. After graduation, she had worked hard but lacked money and connections, encountering many obstacles along the way. Bai Song couldn’t help but sympathize, so she invested half her assets as a shareholder.
Once all this was done, Bai Song went abroad.
She signed up for a European tour, traveled far and wide, experienced various cultures, and marveled at the wonders of nature. Feeling that her time in this world hadn’t been wasted, she finally returned home, ready to face her death with composure.
She knew her fate would be miserable, but she never imagined it would be this miserable or come this soon.
It was supposed to be a simple dinner with the senior to discuss company matters. But when she pushed open the private room’s door, she was met with a frosty face.
Bai Song’s steps halted abruptly. After the initial shock came a dazed stupor, she almost stepped back out to check if she had entered the wrong room.
Tong Yao sat at the head of the table, her sharp, dark gaze fixed on Bai Song, calm and unsurprised.
Even an idiot could tell what was happening now. So much for trying to be a good person.
She had wanted to do a good deed, only to lose both her money and her freedom. Exhausting.
The senior hurried over, seeing Bai Song still standing frozen in place, and quickly waved her in. “Song Song, come in! This is the investor I mentioned before. Without her, we wouldn’t have survived those crises.”
So you sold me out?
Bai Song shot a glance at the senior, deeply understanding the saying that what goes around comes around.
[The plotline is a bit early.] After a pause, the system added, [But it doesn’t matter. As long as the outcome is good.]
Bai Song rolled her eyes internally. A “good outcome” for the system was anything but good for her.
The private room was enveloped in Tong Yao’s oppressive aura. Bai Song felt as if she were entangled in fine spider silk, and her courage faltered she didn’t dare step inside.
But the system kept nagging in her head about the mission, giving her a headache. Her face twisted with visible struggle.
After a long moment, she finally lowered her head and, under Tong Yao’s gaze, took one step after another into the room.
Her heart was weeping.
This wasn’t just entering a private room, it was walking straight into a trap!
As she walked, the system continued its reminders.
[Don’t treat this as a drill. You must look humiliated. A scumbag should have the self-awareness of a scumbag.]
Bai Song: “…”
From the moment Bai Song appeared, Tong Yao’s eyes never left her.
Since her departure, Tong Yao had directly parachuted into the Tong Group, forcefully entering the board as the heir apparent. Of course, many opposed her, and more than half remained silent, but those who agreed did so with an attitude of watching a spectacle. Yet, within just three months, Tong Yao had used thunderous methods to intimidate them and demonstrate her capabilities, barely managing to secure her footing in the Tong Group, though it would still take years to truly stabilize her position.
Just as she was using the overwhelming, suffocating workload to fend off the pangs of longing, Bai Song, heartless as ever, had gone off traveling.
And even…
The person before her seemed to have gained a little more weight than before. Her waist was still slender, but her hips and chest appeared fuller, and her complexion looked healthier too.
Yet, her alluring figure couldn’t mask the cowardice ingrained in her bones her flickering gaze, hesitant steps, and the overwhelming aura of timidity radiating from her.
But it was precisely this person who had lingered in her thoughts, even obsessed her.
She had gone so far as to issue a military order to her parents, signing numerous pledges and even promising an arranged marriage in the future, all just to buy herself a few years of self-indulgent time.
Thinking of the next few years, when this person would be entirely at her mercy, to be molded and shaped as she pleased, Tong Yao curled her lips into a malicious, teasing smile.
Bai Song: “…” Terrified.
Bai Song whimpered: [System, I’m scared.]
The system sighed: [Don’t worry, pain perception will be blocked.]
Physical pain could be blocked, but what about the psychological and emotional suppression and torment?!
Bai Song was on the verge of tears, but there was no backing out now. She could only brace herself and step forward.
Pursing her lips slightly, Bai Song reminded herself that escape was pointless. Since she had decided to accept the mission, she might as well let the storm rage even fiercer.
As long as she immersed herself in the role, she wouldn’t feel the oppressive aura anymore.
Bai Song tried her best to remain calm and said softly, “Yao Yao, long time no see.”
“Yes, long time no see.” Tong Yao stood up and walked toward Bai Song, bringing with her a chilling gust of wind that pricked Bai Song’s exposed skin like needles.
Her lips curled into a familiar, cruel smile: “Yes, you’ve been doing well since I left, haven’t you?”
Of course, staying in hotels, indulging in fine food, touring famous landmarks, it had been paradise.
Bai Song naturally didn’t dare say that. Her heart pounded nervously, her face paling slightly.
Lifting her gaze to meet Tong Yao’s deep eyes, Bai Song sighed. “Yao Yao, why must it be like this? Can’t we just part on good terms?”
Tong Yao stared at Bai Song without blinking, then suddenly laughed. She turned, picked up a bottle of baijiu from the table, and handed it to Bai Song. “A toast to our lost love.”
Bai Song couldn’t handle alcohol at all her tolerance was pitifully low. A few glasses of wine would leave her vomiting and questioning her life choices.
In the past, Tong Yao hadn’t even allowed her to touch anything containing alcohol.
And now, she was being handed a high-proof baijiu to chug straight from the bottle.
This was clearly revenge.
If she drank this today, she probably wouldn’t even make it out the door.
No need to call 120, she’d be a goner on the spot.
Bai Song turned to leave, but the senior who had brought her there closed the door.
The senior looked at her apologetically but remained firmly planted in front of the private room’s entrance seemingly having sold her out completely.
The senior looked at Bai Song resentfully: “Song, President Tong is our big boss. Without her support, this patent won’t get approved. We’ve bet everything on this new technology. If the software still can’t be developed, Song, our company is truly finished.”
The senior’s eyes were slightly red, as if trying to win Bai Song’s sympathy.
But Bai Song was no saint. If she wanted to sell her body to save the company, why didn’t she do it herself?
Thinking this, Bai Song said it outright. She narrowed her eyes slowly: “Senior, I kindly lent you money, and even if you don’t thank me, now you repay kindness with betrayal? You want to sell me out and still expect me to help you count the money? Do you really think I’m a fool?”
She grabbed the senior’s shoulder and yanked hard, slamming her against the wall, then said with disgust: “Consider that money as buying bones to feed a dog. I don’t want it back!”
Completely unprepared for Bai Song’s sudden bluntness, the senior’s face instantly darkened, almost dripping with humiliation.
Tong Yao chuckled softly, sending shivers down Bai Song’s spine. She hurriedly reached for the door, not wanting to stay in the room a second longer.
“You think you can leave today? You think I really wanted to control you with money? Bai Song, you’re still too naive.”
Behind her came Tong Yao’s soft yet demonic voice, as if drifting up from hell. At the same time, Bai Song opened the door to see a row of towering, 1.9-meter-tall men in black suits and oversized sunglasses standing guard outside.
Each one was so muscular it seemed their suits might burst at the seams.
Bai Song couldn’t help but shudder and took two steps back.
Tong Yao’s eyes were icy, but her voice remained eerily calm, betraying a terrifying composure.
Those still, deep eyes seemed capable of unleashing a storm at any moment.
Trapped with no way out, Bai Song knew she wouldn’t be leaving this room on her own two feet today. With a bitter expression, she retreated back inside.
Turning to face Tong Yao’s cold gaze, she recalled the tender care and indulgent affection Tong Yao had once shown her. A complex mix of bitterness and sorrow welled up in her heart.
If she were truly a scumbag who deceived innocent girls and played with their feelings, it would be one thing but she wasn’t!!
She really wasn’t!!!
As a shut-in, dealing with Tong Yao alone was already exhausting enough, how could she possibly have the energy to mess around with others?
Socially anxious as she was, how could she possibly flirt around like some playboy?
This was all scripted. She was framed.
She had even sacrificed herself after all, the real-world Bai Song was still a pure, untouched virgin. But ever since arriving in this world, Tong Yao had frequently subjected her to all sorts of things, leaving her barely able to get out of bed.
Bai Song’s heart was already drowning in tears, but she had no way to voice her suffering.
In Tong Yao’s eyes, she was nothing but a bottomless pit of insatiability.
So exhausting.

Bai Song wanted to glare fiercely at Tong Yao, but she couldn’t muster the courage. In the end, she timidly tried to pull the liquor bottle from Tong Yao’s hand, tug, but it wouldn’t budge.
Pursing her lips, Bai Song looked at her, heart pounding.
Tong Yao seemed to zone out for a moment before snapping back to reality and releasing the bottle. She even took out a handkerchief to wipe her hands, as if afraid of catching some virus.
Though she hadn’t even touched her, Bai Song rolled her eyes internally. Slowly lifting the lid, she stared at the contents with a headache, too terrified to take a sip.
Tong Yao didn’t miss a single micro-expression on Bai Song’s face.
The girl before her was the picture of fear and dread, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. The slight upward tilt at the corners of her eyes, usually so alluring, now seemed devoid of its usual charm. Her beautifully shaped lips were pressed tightly together, making her plump lower lip stand out even more.
Looking at this utterly soft and vulnerable appearance, Tong Yao couldn’t fathom what she even saw in her. Yet here they were, at this point, and she still found herself aching with pity, wanting nothing more than to pull the girl into her arms and comfort her immediately.
Suppressing the impulse with effort, Tong Yao slowly curved her lips into a smile and said, “Drink up!”
With no room left to retreat, Bai Song could only shut her eyes, tilt her head back, and down it in one go.
To hell with it.
