The wedding was originally planned to take place in two weeks. An auspicious date had already been chosen. However, as time went on, Li Ge’s morning sickness became increasingly severe. Out of twenty-four hours a day, she spent at least half of them vomiting. No matter what she ate—sweet, salty, or sour—she would immediately rush to the bathroom. Watching her suffer broke Xu Qingyan’s heart. She wished she could be the one going through it instead.

Because of this, Xu Qingyan decided to postpone the wedding until Li Ge’s health improved.

More than two months had passed.

Li Ge was no longer vomiting, and her belly had grown slightly. But because she was still very slim, it wasn’t obvious she was pregnant, especially with clothes on. She looked almost the same as before. Xu Qingyan hugged her from behind and still felt she was too thin. She could easily wrap her arms around her without using much effort.

“You need to eat more. You’re too skinny.”

Xu Qingyan rested her head on Li Ge’s shoulder and gently nuzzled her. “Otherwise, when the little one in your belly starts acting up, what will you do?”

Li Ge elbowed her backward with some force and grumbled, “This is all your fault.”

Xu Qingyan winced in pain and quickly said, “Yes, it’s my fault. I’m sorry.”

“The wedding… how do you plan to do it?”

Li Ge had never thought about that. She had attended other people’s weddings and always thought brides looked beautiful in their gowns. She often imagined that she would look just as beautiful if she wore one.

Xu Qingyan smiled and said, “They are, but I can make ours more special. I want the whole world to know that you are the omega I am marrying. No one else.”

Li Ge felt a warm feeling in her heart and softly responded, “Okay.”

They hugged for a while, until Li Ge suddenly remembered something. Her expression darkened.

Just as Xu Qingyan let go of her, she noticed the change and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Li Ge hesitated before speaking. “I don’t really have family or close friends. Xu Qingyan, he’s the only relative I have left. Will you invite him to our wedding?”

The wedding took place as planned.

Li Ge thought, if it wasn’t for your terrible advice back then, maybe things wouldn’t have gotten so out of hand. But she knew Tang Ling meant well. She had only wanted to bring them together.

Tang Ling clutched her chest dramatically, as if she had been stabbed.

“Xiao Ge, have some faith in me. And I’m not the only one you can count on. You’ve also got Ranran and the others.”

Ranran also held Li Ge’s hand and smiled warmly.

“Just so we’re clear, we’re all going to be godmothers to your baby. If you ever feel wronged by Ah Yan, don’t argue with her. Just bring the baby and come to us. I promise we’ll make her regret it.”

Li Ge gently touched her belly. A warm feeling spread through her heart, and she smiled softly.

“Alright.”

As the officiant’s voice rang out, Tang Ling took Li Ge’s hand and led her up to the stage from the side.

At the same time, Xu Qingyan stepped up from the other side.

“Why are you looking at me like that? You kissed me first. Can’t I kiss you too?”

Xu Qingyan’s heart was racing. Li Ge had kissed her.

More importantly, she had kissed her on her own.

Xu Qingyan had been holding back ever since Li Ge became pregnant, thinking she needed to be patient and restrained. But that one small kiss woke up all the longing she had been trying to suppress.

She leaned closer and asked in a soft voice, “Xiao Ge, tonight… is it okay? I asked the doctor. You’re past the danger period, and a little exercise is good for you now.”

Li Ge knew exactly what kind of “exercise” she meant. Her face grew even redder.

“Up to you.”

Xu Qingyan smiled and held her hand tightly. She leaned in close and whispered in her ear with tenderness.

“I love you, Xiao Ge.”
