“Mmmph! Mmmph!”

In the darkness, Li Ge was being kissed until her mind went blank. She struggled desperately, trying to push the person away, but it was as if the other person could predict her every move. Her wrists were quickly caught, and the other hand slipped into her soft hair, pulling her deeper into the kiss.

Despite everything, the Omega kept her teeth tightly clenched and refused to open her mouth. Xu Qingyan could only press forward slowly with her tongue, little by little. Eventually, Li Ge began to run out of air and had no choice but to part her lips slightly.

Xu Qingyan seized the moment to gently pry open her teeth. Once Li Ge had completely let down her guard, Xu Qingyan pushed her tongue in and claimed every corner of her mouth. Their tongues entwined, deepening the kiss with an irresistible pull.

Before long, the room was filled with the sound of heavy breathing.

Slowly, a familiar and faint scent of rose pheromones filled the air. Li Ge’s eyes snapped open. She was nearly suffocating from the kiss and tried hard to resist, but under the effect of the pheromones, her body had turned soft and weak, like melted water. She simply could not find the strength to fight back.

Every time Li Ge tried to speak or resist, Xu Qingyan blocked her with another kiss. All she could manage were soft, helpless whimpers.

Finally, sensing that Li Ge was truly out of breath, Xu Qingyan reluctantly let her go.

After releasing her lips, Xu Qingyan continued kissing her softly, brushing her lips again and again. She moved upward, to her nose, the corners of her eyes, her smooth forehead, and finally stopped at her earlobe, gently sucking on it.

Li Ge trembled all over. She had to lean against Xu Qingyan just to catch her breath.

She knew it. When the director arranged for them to stay at a different hotel, it was clearly part of Xu Qingyan’s plan. As expected, it had been a setup. Just last night they had already done it, and now Xu Qingyan was back at it again. Li Ge couldn’t help but wonder how Xu Qingyan never seemed to get tired of this.

After just one or two rounds, she felt like her body had collapsed completely. Her eyelids could barely stay open, and she didn’t even want to move. But Xu Qingyan would still take care of her, clean her up, change her clothes, and somehow get up early the next morning like nothing happened. It was inhuman.

Was this what all beasts were like?

“I knew it.”

“Knew what?”

Li Ge raised her weak arm and used the last bit of energy to tap Xu Qingyan’s chest in protest. “You and the director are working together. Always bullying me. I hate you.”

Xu Qingyan caught her hand and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it. “I wasn’t bullying you. You wouldn’t come home, and this was the only way I could see you.”

Home?

She meant that private villa used only to satisfy her own desires?

How could that place be called a home?

“I’m not going back there,” Li Ge said firmly. Her body was drained and she didn’t bother trying to pull her hand away, but her tone was full of anger. “That’s not a home. It’s just a place where you take advantage of me. You dress it up like something noble, but it’s not. Director Xu, don’t you think that’s laughable?”

Xu Qingyan felt as if a knife had stabbed her right in the chest. The pain was sharp and deep.

So, to the Omega, that place wasn’t home at all?

She had always believed her private villa was a sacred and intimate place. Only someone truly close to her would be allowed to live there. Not just anyone could step inside.

She really thought that.

She had thought Li Ge understood her meaning.

But clearly, she didn’t.

The room fell into silence.

Li Ge couldn’t figure out what Xu Qingyan was thinking. Why go through all this trouble just to force a kiss, and then stop there? Was she really hurt by what Li Ge had said?

That reminded her of something Yao Ying had once told her. A typical sugar daddy wouldn’t care about whether she had eaten or not. They were only interested in satisfying their own needs. Xu Qingyan asking about things like that showed she might feel something more.

But Li Ge didn’t believe in that kind of thing.

If Xu Qingyan really had feelings for her, then why didn’t she pursue her properly? Why did she always resort to force and manipulation?

Li Ge hated being forced. She especially hated it when Alphas used domination to disguise their so-called love.

To her, it was nothing more than an excuse for their beastly desires.

“Are you doing it or not?”

After resting a bit, Li Ge finally recovered some energy. She pulled her hand back and said, “If you’re not, then stop wasting my time. I need to rest. I have to get up early tomorrow.”

Xu Qingyan didn’t let go, but she didn’t argue either. She reached over and turned on the light.

With a soft click, the entire room lit up.

Only then did Li Ge realize she was still straddling Xu Qingyan in a very intimate position. Her face flushed with heat, and she quickly pushed her away.

The two of them looked at each other in awkward silence.

To spare her the embarrassment, Xu Qingyan turned and walked away toward the bedroom.

For some reason, Li Ge suddenly thought her back looked very lonely. Like a pet that had waited at the door all day for its owner to come home, only to be left waiting. When the moment finally came and the owner never arrived, it slumped down by the doorway, quietly watching the empty street.

That was exactly how Xu Qingyan felt to her now.

A strange frustration rose inside Li Ge. It was as if she had caused Xu Qingyan to become like this. A flicker of guilt appeared in her heart.

No. Why should she feel guilty?

She was the one being wronged. Yet somehow, Xu Qingyan was the one acting like she had been hurt. Was there any justice left in the world?

The more Li Ge thought about it, the angrier she became. Then she remembered she still hadn’t settled the matter about the hotel.

She spun around and caught up to her.

“Did you ask the director to arrange the hotel on purpose?”

Facing the question, Xu Qingyan didn’t hesitate or try to lie. She replied calmly, “Yes. I asked Director Li to set it up.”

Li Ge had expected as much. “Why did you do that?”

Lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling, Xu Qingyan didn’t seem angry at the confrontation. She answered patiently, “You refused to go back. What was the point of me going home alone?”

Even though that private villa was something she bought herself and had always considered her only real home, she still spent most of her time at the company. Out of a full week, she would spend at least five days sleeping at the office.

That only changed after Li Ge entered her life.

Xu Qingyan realized that a place with her Omega was the only place that could truly be called home. Otherwise, it was no different than staying at work.

Li Ge had no idea what Xu Qingyan meant by saying things like that. She had said similar misleading things before, but the truth was, Xu Qingyan hadn’t changed at all. She was still just as infuriating.

“Director Xu, if you want to sleep with me, just say it. No need to come up with such ridiculous excuses. It must be exhausting to put on such an act.”

“You don’t believe me?”

Li Ge actually laughed. It reminded her of the madams from ancient brothels. Clearly human traffickers, yet always pretending to be someone high and mighty, someone everyone else should look up to.

“Director Xu, I’m an adult, not a three-year-old. I can see through things like this. Next time you put on a show, maybe pick someone who doesn’t know any better. Otherwise, people like me will just ruin your mood.”

Xu Qingyan wasn’t surprised by her response. She knew Li Ge wouldn’t believe her. Propping herself up on the bed, she motioned with her finger.

“Come here.”

Li Ge didn’t move. She knew she had probably said something that upset Xu Qingyan. If she got close now, who knew what Xu Qingyan might do to her.

“If you have something to say, just say it. I’m not deaf.”

Xu Qingyan ignored her resistance and repeated the same two words.

“Come here.”

Even though Li Ge sounded tough, she didn’t feel confident. She had training with the crew tomorrow. If Xu Qingyan decided to torment her again tonight, there was no way she’d be able to get out of bed in the morning.

But if she didn’t go over, there was still the chance Xu Qingyan would come to her. Either way, she couldn’t avoid it.

“I have training with the crew tomorrow. You can’t do this to me tonight.”

Her voice grew softer and softer until it was barely audible. Xu Qingyan found her adorable, especially with that aggrieved look on her face. She looked like a hamster who just had her stash of nuts stolen, making Xu Qingyan want to cuddle her even more. All she wanted was to hold her, but this little girl always assumed the worst.

“Come here.”

“Only if you promise not to do anything to me,” Li Ge said firmly. She didn’t believe for a second that Xu Qingyan just wanted to share a bed. Before she joined the crew, she could let Xu Qingyan do whatever she wanted. She would just lie there, eyes shut, playing dead. After all, as the saying goes, there are no fields ruined by plowing, only tired oxen.

Xu Qingyan nodded without hesitation.

“Come here.”

Li Ge slowly walked over. When there was still about a meter left between them, Xu Qingyan decided she was moving too slowly. She stood up, grabbed her, and pulled her straight onto the bed.

Li Ge was startled. She thought Xu Qingyan was about to lose control again and tried to fight back. Just as she raised her arm to resist, Xu Qingyan turned to the side, wrapped an arm around her neck, and buried her head into the crook of Li Ge’s shoulder. And then she stopped moving.

Li Ge’s raised arm froze in midair. She didn’t know where to place it. She couldn’t punch her, but she also couldn’t just leave it there.

What was this woman trying to do?

Just as she was about to pull her hand back, Xu Qingyan whispered against her neck.

“Don’t move.”

Li Ge immediately froze. The position they were in was far too intimate. If she moved even a little, she might trigger the same wild response from last night, and she couldn’t afford that again.

But holding her arm up like that was starting to hurt. If she didn’t lower it soon, it might go numb.

With no better option, Li Ge slowly shifted her arm to the side and lay there with her limbs splayed out like the character for “big.”

Time ticked by slowly.

Xu Qingyan didn’t speak. It seemed like she had fallen asleep. Li Ge could clearly feel her breathing on her neck, which made her skin tingle and itch.

She tried to move her head to get away from the sensation.

But every time she shifted, Xu Qingyan followed, moving her head right along with her. No matter which way she turned, Xu Qingyan insisted on staying close.

She was definitely pretending to be asleep.

Li Ge reached for her phone. She wanted to check the time. She hadn’t showered yet, and with the early schedule tomorrow, she couldn’t afford to lie around like this all night.

But her phone was in her pocket, and she had to bend awkwardly to reach it. Her movements disturbed Xu Qingyan, who clearly didn’t like it. She leaned in and whispered a warning near her ear.

“If you keep moving, I can’t promise I won’t react.”

Li Ge froze again. She stayed in that awkward position, completely trapped in Xu Qingyan’s tight embrace.

Time passed slowly.

Xu Qingyan’s arms tightened around her. Her warm breath against Li Ge’s neck became more noticeable, and her ears began to flush with heat. It felt like Xu Qingyan was kissing her neck, every breath soft and intimate.

Li Ge’s whole body began to feel hot.

Especially because Xu Qingyan seemed completely unaware of her own pheromone control. Her S-rank pheromones were like poison to an Omega.

“Xu Qingyan.”

There was no reply, just a soft hum in her throat that sounded like a spoiled child trying to be coy.

Li Ge hesitated for a long moment before finally finding an excuse that sounded acceptable.
