[The Fastidious Cat-like Beauty (Uke) x The Scheming Dog-like “Bad Boy” (Seme)]

Su Zhan grew up in the lap of luxury, wanting for nothing. He even chose to major in Theatre, never once worrying about something as mundane as “practical value.”

That was, until the day it all came crashing down.

His family went bankrupt. His cards were frozen, his tuition was overdue, and even his car was about to be repossessed. Just then, an Aston Martin pulled up in front of him. Dylan Forster a wealthy, stunningly handsome tech mogul, rolled down the window. With a blink of his sea-blue eyes, Dylan brushed his blonde hair back like a golden retriever who knew exactly how charming he was.

“Su, do you want to date me?”

Dylan turned out to be an incredible boyfriend. He watched old black-and-white movies with Su Zhan and picked him up after late-night rehearsals. But while their relationship was labeled “dating,” it felt a lot more like being a kept man. Su Zhan had to follow Dylan’s every whim, and Dylan’s… intense preferences left Su Zhan physically and mentally exhausted. He lived in constant fear that he might end up as the star of some private gallery on a questionable website.

When a childhood friend called with a lifeline”Xiao Su, I heard about your situation. Don’t worry about the tuition” Su Zhan saw his chance. A real brother looks out for you without demanding your dignity in return. Who would choose a “playing house” relationship with a sugar daddy over that?

Su Zhan packed his bags, ditched Dylan’s apartment keys, and bolted.

He happily started selling off the luxury gifts Dylan had given him, one by one. A diamond body chain was even valuable enough to be sent to a private auction house in LA. While lounging in the VIP suite of the auction house, freeloading on snacks while waiting for the final bid, the door clicked shut. He was cornered.

Dylan leaned in close, his nose brushing affectionately against Su Zhan’s cheek.

“You’re so careless, baby. Did you forget? The owner of this auction house is also named Forster.”

The first time Dylan saw Su Zhan was in the campus square. The high notes on the public piano were slightly out of tune, and the sunlight hit the pianist’s black hair as if God Himself were stroking his head.

Su Zhan only played the first measure of the Goldberg Variations: Aria. As the last note rang out, it synced perfectly with the ding of a nearby microwave finishing its cycle. The pianist stood up, took his heated lunch, and walked away without giving the piano a second glance.

“Who’s that?” Dylan asked a classmate.

“Su. A beauty from the Arts Department, but he’s a bit of a poser, isn’t he?” his companion joked.

Dylan said nothing. He knew Su Zhan wasn’t performing for anyone. In that brief glimpse, Dylan only saw a fraction of his face; they didn’t even lock eyes or speak. Yet, that silhouette took up permanent residence in Dylan’s dreams—in ways that were far from respectable.

He wanted to hear the rest of that Aria. Then, he wanted to pin Su Zhan against that piano and leave marks all over that black hair God had once kissed.

When Dylan heard, Su Zhan was trying to sell a Patek Philippe Calatrava, he knew his moment had arrived. Su Zhan needed cash, and he needed it now. Dylan dressed to the nines, picked a car that screamed “impeccable taste,” and appeared before him as if by chance.

“Su, do you want to date me?”
