The Omega Becomes The Zerg Queen - Chapter 4
Chapter 4: Estrus
On the internal Zerg forums, the discussion regarding the Queen continued to rage.
Dammit, it’s been five hours already. Five hours! What are the Temple and the Legion doing? How is there still no news of the Queen?
Latest update: Specific coordinates for the Queen have been acquired. The Temple and the Legion are heading toward the destination at full speed. They’re almost there.
Fake news is flying everywhere right now. Is the OP’s source reliable?
Absolutely certain. My brother is on the insectoid ship heading to welcome the Queen. The capital ships of several major legions are all rushing there. Word is the Queen contacted His Highness Lucius herself and sent her coordinates.
Vouching for the OP. I also heard news that the planet where the Queen was born is a Desolate Star.
A Desolate Star??????
The Queen was born on a Desolate Star??? Our Queen was born on a Desolate Star??? QAQ
The soldiers are also in total shock. To make it in time, the pilot of the First Legion’s flagship has broken the Zerg record for consecutive space jumps.
Aaahhhhhhh! Does that mean we’ll get to see the Queen’s majesty immediately?!
OP, if you have connections, tell us more! Camping for updates!

…
Seeing that the girl had not responded for a long time, the tall figure knelt on the ground. Zephyros bowed his head so low it looked as if it might snap, pleading for forgiveness in shame.
“My Queen, your servant has arrived late and caused you distress. Please, punish me.”
“I don’t mean to blame you.”
Su Lili shrank back slightly, using the eggshell to shield her body. “Do you have any spare clothes?”
Years of military life meant Zephyros’s contact with the opposite sex was practically zero. Aside from his military combat uniforms, there was nothing else in his spatial storage.
“Please forgive me, my King. I currently only have my own garments. I do not know if the King can accept them.” A powerful sense of shame made Zephyros bury his head even lower. The King had such a simple request—just clothes—and he couldn’t even satisfy it. He was a failure.
“It’s fine, bring them over.” Su Lili reached her hand out from the egg. After being “streaking” for so long, she would be satisfied with anything to wear.
Zephyros pulled the softest and cleanest set of clothes from his spatial storage and offered them with a bowed head. “When we return to the mother star…”
His unfinished sentence was interrupted by Su Lili.
“So big…”
The girl took the clothes and fumbled to put them on inside the eggshell. However, the size difference between them was too vast; some pieces were impossible to wear. After several failed attempts, Su Lili gave up.
The girl wasn’t short, but her height of 1.7 meters was negligible in front of Zephyros’s superhuman physique. The massive size difference made the girl look like a child wearing an adult’s clothes.
She tightly wrapped herself in the black military jacket. The neatly ironed fabric was creased by her grip, and her pale fingertips turned slightly pink from the effort. The oversized jacket hung down to her calves, her slender ankles peeking out from the dark hem like emerging flower buds.
Her toes couldn’t help but curl slightly.
Having solved the basic clothing issue, Su Lili felt much more at ease. She pointed to the hole above their heads. “Should we… go out first?”
“Of course.” Sensing the King’s relaxed mood, Zephyros finally dared to look up, meeting Su Lili’s eyes.
The King is so beautiful.
The girl’s eyes were a rare black among the Zerg, deep and mesmerizing like the universe. Her soft black hair cascaded to her waist, outlining her exquisite figure. Beneath her small, straight nose were pink, tender lips, and her pale skin glowed with a faint pink hue in the dim underground, as if she were radiating light.
“My King, the terrain here is difficult to navigate. Please allow your servant to carry you out.” After a moment of thought, Zephyros decided on the best route. He knelt on one knee and held his left hand out toward Su Lili. His black fingerless glove fit snugly over his fingers, palm upward in an inviting gesture.
Having grown up in the Protection Association, Su Lili had never had such close contact with the opposite sex. The Empire’s protection of Omegas was airtight; before adulthood, she basically had no chance to contact Alphas. Even after reaching adulthood, any meeting with an Alpha would be conducted under the protection of servants and guards.
But now was not the time to be fastidious. Moreover, the man’s full loyalty stars made her feel very safe. After a moment’s hesitation, she placed her hand in his.
“Pardon my rudeness,” Zephyros said apologetically. He gently supported Su Lili’s hand as he stood up, then slowly bent down. His strong arms supported her back and slid under her knees, lifting the girl as effortlessly as if she were a feather.
The man’s massive frame completely enveloped the girl. His broad shoulders made the girl in his arms look even tinier. Su Lili’s fair calves pressed against the man’s honey-bronze forearm, the firm muscle causing them to deform slightly—like white chocolate melting in syrup.
“We are about to take off, please be careful.” With a vibration of his bone wings, Zephyros ascended.
As they drew closer, the sweet fragrance from the girl became even clearer. It traveled down his respiratory tract, slowly igniting all his senses, making him feel intoxicated and lost.
Zephyros used all his self-control to bite the tip of his tongue. The metallic taste of blood and the sharp pain allowed him to barely control his racing heart and unrealistic fantasies.
The top-tier healing abilities of a High Zerg caused the wound on his tongue to heal rapidly, forcing him to repeatedly bite it back open.
To be honest, the sensation was far from pleasant, but he did it willingly.
Despite the warning, the sudden feeling of weightlessness made Su Lili’s heart tighten. She instinctively wrapped her arms around the man’s neck. The thin combat suit couldn’t hide the defined muscle lines. It was her first time being so close to a man; the scorching high temperature from his chest made her cheeks flush crimson.
“Why is he so hot?” she couldn’t help but complain to the system.
…
The system was silent for a while.
He is in estrus.
Su Lili: ?
System: Your pheromones. For the Zerg, you are the highest-tier female.
There was something it hadn’t said yet. Not just for the Zerg, but for the entire current universe, an S-rank Omega was the unique, ultimate female.
“Then what should I do? There aren’t any suppressants here.”
Su Lili’s face went pale. She hadn’t expected the Zerg to be affected by pheromones too. The most important lesson in the Omega Protection Association was to warn all Omegas to stay away from Alphas in heat and to protect their pheromones at all times!
… Detected that the host has a special constitution. Now providing a function to suppress pheromones with mental power. Would you like to enable it?
Su Lili: “Enable it.”
A surge of mental power flowed from her mental sea to her glands. The active glands cooled down, no longer secreting that alluring, sweet scent.
Zephyros flew very fast, but his superb flying skills ensured Su Lili didn’t feel a single bump. The moment they flew out from underground, her vision suddenly widened.
The grey earth was barren, and jagged red rocks jutted out from the ground like protruding tentacles. Unlike Earth’s moon and stars, the night sky here was hung with various large and small points of light, emitting multicolored glows that looked like brilliant neon against the black backdrop.
This was a different kind of beauty that an Omega raised in a greenhouse would never see in a lifetime.
Su Lili was immersed in this strange scenery, so much so that she didn’t notice a new notification from the system after she enabled the pheromone suppression.
Low mental power will cause the function to automatically shut off. Please monitor your remaining mental power at all times.
The rugged ground of the Desolate Star was incompatible with the Queen’s tender feet. Fearing that the gravel would hurt her skin, Zephyros moved Su Lili to his left arm to carry her one-handed—a feat made easy by his powerful arm muscles. He then used his right hand to pull clothes from his spatial storage. Various expensive, specialized combat suits were piled on the ground to create a thick, soft layer. Only after ensuring it was comfortable to step on did he set Su Lili down.
The man stood beside the girl, his bone wings tightly wrapping around them both. Bone wings were a symbol of combat power, yet now they were being used to block the wind for the girl. The man didn’t feel there was anything wrong with this at all; being able to assist the Queen was the supreme honor and lifelong pursuit of every Zerg.
Only in a place no one could see, the tip of a bone wing—uncontrolled but true to its heart—quietly brushed against the girl’s arm.
…
But under the calm surface, danger lurked.
“King— want— pain— save—”
Faster than it could be told, several mutated beasts lunged out from behind a nearby rock wall. The beasts looked bizarre, half-human and half-insect, as if stitched together from countless segments. Their dozens-of-meters-long bodies twisted nimbly as they rushed toward the pair, muttering strange, delirious sounds.
The terrifying scene made Su Lili take two steps back. Before she could even scream, the beasts had already been decapitated.
“Heh.” Zephyros snorted coldly.
These cosmic dregs had been getting more active lately for some reason. Now they actually dared to provoke him. Zephyros retracted his long blade, flicking the blood off of it, and said coldly, “To disturb the King… you deserve death.”
“What was it just saying?” Su Lili asked curiously.
“Just some meaningless roars.” Zephyros looked at the young King in his arms with pity and softened his voice. “Don’t worry, my King. I am here.”
No, it wasn’t.
Su Lili shook her head inwardly. She had heard it clearly. Those beasts were definitely trying to convey some message to her. Although there were only a few disconnected words, it was clearly the language of an intelligent being. Furthermore, she pursed her lips; though it was faint, she seemed to have detected a few traces of Zerg mental power from those beasts.
…
Whoosh— A faint sound came from above.
A shadow fell across the sky. The two looked up to see several Zerg ships sailing toward them, with more and more appearing on the perimeter.
The Zerg army had arrived.
The Zerg ships in the night sky were long and streamlined, their surfaces covered in menacing patterns and unique sigils. The exteriors were bristling with various scouting instruments and laser cannons, silently displaying their infinite power to any enemies. The massive hulls were like silent behemoths, emerging quietly through the void.
As the most terrifying war machines in the galaxy, the Zerg fleet was invincible wherever it went.
