The Omega Becomes The Zerg Queen - Chapter 10
Chapter 10: The Mother Nest
His combat power was SSS-rank, the peak of the Bee-type strength. His glorious feat of single-handedly slaughtering five high-level heterogeneous beast swarms was a tale the Zerg spoke of with constant relish.
While everyone knew of his invincible might, Zephyros, as a fellow soldier, knew a secret: he had retained his Honey Chamber.
“Retaining the Honey Chamber? Of course. I have long since had no need for other primordial traits to increase my combat power or show off my prowess.”
“I am strong enough on my own; I do not need external aids. When people see me, they know I am Phelan.”
The man’s eyes had sparkled like red rubies; his proud and unrestrained declaration seemed to still echo in Zephyros’s ears. But thinking of Phelan’s current situation, Zephyros closed his eyes and did not immediately speak his name.
“Aside from the physical body, what about mental power?” Lucius pressed further, thinking of the other crucial aspect.
“Secondly, there is the matter of mental power. The King’s mental sea is exceptionally vast, and as she enters adulthood, her mental power will strengthen further. To prevent this violent mental energy from damaging the King’s mental sea, we must intensify her mental power training, guiding her to master this overly aggressive force.”
“Currently, the King’s situation is like a toddler leading a wild beast; the beast risks turning on her at any moment. Once the King grows enough to completely tame this beast, she will not only be free from life-threatening danger, but the beast will be hers to command. At that point, the King’s combat power will surpass any of the Old Kings.”
Lucius nodded, his expression softening slightly as he made calm arrangements.
“I will arrange for the King to enter the Mother Nest immediately.”
But at the same time, accidents had to be avoided.
“Zephyros, I’ll leave the King’s physical training to you.”
“As for her mental power training—which has historically been the responsibility of the Temple—I will personally teach her once she wakes.”
Compared to using mental power from a distance, the Zerg preferred fist-to-flesh combat. Research into mental power was not deep across the Zerg race; after all, their physical bodies were already strong enough, and their naturally violent mental energy made it difficult to use.
If it couldn’t be used easily, they simply discarded it. If physical strength alone was enough to dominate the stars, why look for trouble? This was the general consensus among Zerg soldiers.
The ancient texts in the Temple regarding the Queen’s mental training mostly focused on how to guide the Queen in providing soothing and healing.
How to control this offensive mental power… Lucius narrowed his eyes, struck by a bold idea.
The Federation’s Mock Mecha Battles.
The Federation people mostly originated from the Blue Planet (Earth). Their constitutions were low, and their bodies were too fragile to be exposed to deep space. Yet, in the New Era, the Federation had gradually come to rival the Zerg.
This was because they had developed and researched mental power to its absolute limit. The crystallization of the Federation’s wisdom and sweat—the greatest invention in the galaxy, the Mecha—was born from this.
Since the flesh was fragile, they armored their weaknesses. Since the mental power was strong, they exerted it to the extreme. Using their mental power to pilot mechas, these powerful steel behemoths allowed them to fly and fight freely across the stars.
Every Federation citizen learned mental power combat from a young age.
While it wasn’t convenient for the King to join their training directly, she could participate in the Federation’s mock mecha battles on the Star-Net. She could learn to master her mental power without revealing her identity.
I’ll arrange a suitable Federation identity and account for the King first, Lucius began to prepare.
…
Did everyone see it? The King’s insectoid ship?
Of course! I didn’t blink for ten whole hours. I finally caught it. Photo.jpg Location
I saw it too. Location
Me too. Location
Wait, look at the route the King is moving…
That’s right. Immediately after the starship reached the home planet, it went straight to the Medical Institute.

Dammit, can someone come out and give us an explanation? Is something wrong with the King’s body? Was she injured on the Desolate Star? May the Insect God protect the King’s health. @TempleOfficial @FirstLegionOfficial @SecondLegionOfficial @ThirdLegionOfficial

Her head was still throbbing slightly.
Su Lili rubbed her head and opened her eyes in the silence. All she saw was white. Snow-white walls, a snow-white bed, and various unknown snow-white instruments connected to her. There was no other color in the room.
Did I transmigrate again?
Before she could think further, an electronic voice chirped:
“Detected that the King has awakened! The King has awakened!” “Calling, calling.”
Following the electronic notification, the wall in front of Su Lili split down the middle and retracted to both sides, forming a doorway. Several familiar faces walked in.
Leading the way were Lucius and Zephyros.
The tension in their brows finally relaxed for a moment. They strode into the room and knelt on one knee beside the hospital bed. Across the medical pod, they pressed their faces tightly against the girl’s palm, their voices trembling with suppressed lingering fear.
“The Insect God has blessed us. You have finally awakened.”
Accustomed to the aggressive and barbaric style of Alphas in her previous life, Su Lili was stunned by the humble posture of these two. Even more strange was that she was now entirely encased in a layer of transparent bubble film.
It was just a fainting spell, why act like I’ve returned from the gates of hell? Su Lili was bewildered, even thinking they were overreacting.
“What happened to me?”
Remaining mental power is below 10%. You will fall into dormant states at irregular intervals. Simultaneously, the suppression of your pheromones will fail, the system’s cold mechanical voice responded in her mind. This thin film is to isolate your pheromones.
“Why didn’t you say something so important earlier!” Su Lili panicked.
… Perhaps knowing it was in the wrong, the system didn’t answer and began to play dead.
“What happened after I passed out?”
After your pheromones were released, Zephyros—to protect your safety—literally pinned himself and Lucius to the floor with a blade.
“My god…” Su Lili’s eyes widened, once again shocked by the Zerg’s loyalty to their Queen. Her gaze lingered on the two of them. “Are… are the wounds okay?”
The King’s curious gaze lingered on their midsections, a movement they sensed sensitively. Zephyros and Lucius tensed their bodies, exerting slight force to ensure their muscles were in the most perfect state, and explained the current situation with slightly flushed faces.
After listening to their explanation, Su Lili finally understood why everyone was so agitated.
Simply put, the Zerg had discovered that she, the Queen, was at risk of “kicking the bucket” at any moment. The medical officers had detected that her body was too weak while her mental power was too strong; the mismatch made her incredibly fragile. If her mental power went out of control, it would literally burst her body.
To prevent this, she had to learn physical and mental power courses.
Looking at the schedule Lucius and Zephyros produced, Su Lili felt her vision go dark. In her past life as an OMEGA, her daily routine was about enjoying life; even at the academy, classes were mostly light and elegant, like literature or flower arranging.
The dense schedule of mental power training and combat courses from morning to night made the girl’s spine tingle. If she didn’t know better, she’d think this was Special Forces training.
No one told her that being a King required a 996 work schedule!
Moreover, she knew in her heart that aside from the constitution-improving potions provided by the system, these things wouldn’t have much effect. But faced with their eyes full of hope, she couldn’t bring herself to say no.
Zephyros knelt by the bed. He was tall, and even while kneeling, he was higher than the bed. His honey-colored cheek rested against the King’s palm through the film. The cold, itchy sensation of his nose sliding against her palm made her heart flutter. The usually cold golden eyes looked at the girl cautiously, his fierce bone wings drooping submissively behind him, making him look like a small bird relying on its owner.
Lucius also knelt on one knee. He bowed his head slightly, reverently pressing the back of the King’s hand to his forehead. Su Lili’s fingertips could feel the moist, warm breath near his lips. His handsome face was filled with sorrow, and his emerald eyes were looking at the girl imploringly.
Who could resist this? Who could hold out?
At least Su Lili couldn’t.
Not only was she unable to refuse, but she couldn’t even bring herself to make excuses or negotiate to reduce the workload.
They are my subjects; I have to spoil them. What else can I do?
The girl nodded with great difficulty.
Damian and Cellar brought in several “Duo Duo” fruits from outside the ward and stood respectfully to the side. These light-tasting fruits with healing properties were the most suitable for the girl to eat right now.
Su Lili raised her brow and glanced at them. “You changed your clothes?”
Their original maid dresses had been replaced with black-and-white butler suits featuring small brown vests, giving them a youthful, androgynous look.
“Yes,” Cellar said, carefully inserting a straw into a fruit and handing it to her. “We both felt that this would make it easier to move around.”
“Do we look good, King?” Damian casually nudged Lucius aside and leaned in close to Su Lili, bending down to place his head near her hand. His pale pink, curled eyelashes fluttered. When those violet eyes looked over, they reminded her of a dreamlike creature from legends.
Su Lili couldn’t resist rubbing his head twice. “It looks very good, and it’s very cute.”
Damian and Cellar both squinted their eyes in unison, a similar sense of joy rising in their hearts. “As long as the King likes it.”
The second time.
This was the second time the King had proactively touched this Bart-type. Bitterness welled up in Lucius’s heart. Does the King like this type?
But what right did he have to question the King’s preferences?
“Once you are finished, we will set off for the Mother Nest.” Ultimately, the gentle and refined Great Priest could not defeat his own selfishness. Lucius shifted the topic imperceptibly, patiently explaining the next steps to the girl. “Once we arrive at the Mother Nest, you need to try to communicate with it using your mental power and wait for its response.”
“Only successive Queens can enter the interior of the Mother Nest. We will wait for you outside.”
Su Lili’s expression was unreadable. Connecting with mental power wasn’t hard for her.
But…
She wasn’t a “full” Zerg, and she didn’t even know why she had become the Zerg King. She wasn’t entirely sure if the Mother Nest would respond to her.
Her trepidation was sensitively captured. Lucius, not understanding the cause and thinking she was just nervous, comforted her patiently.
“Don’t be nervous. Just like when you perform mental soothing, extend your mental power tentacles and connect with the Mother Nest. It will protect every Queen.”
Su Lili pursed her lips and didn’t respond. She wasn’t a Queen born through the “standard” process.
I’m even more nervous now! What should I do!
