The Omega Attacked the Alpha - Chapter 13
Song Tao immediately shifted into a serious state, putting his playful mood aside to look out the window. In the adjacent lane, a car was driving against traffic, charging straight toward them with a reckless disregard for both their lives and its own.
The previously orderly traffic dissolved into chaos. Collisions erupted in several places, sending a few cars flipping through the air.
To Song Tao, this style of ambush felt amateurish and crude. He frowned at the sight of the burning vehicles, his pupils reflecting a spark of fire. Suddenly, a lethal glint of light shot toward them; he instinctively dodged, reaching out a long arm to shove Qin Zheng down as well.
Qin Zheng didn’t budge. He simply dropped two words: “It’s fine.”
Song Tao halted his movement. A bullet struck the window with a crisp clink, like ice cubes hitting glass. But that was all. The bullet stopped dead in its tracks and fell away, failing to leave even a tiny pit in the window.
He couldn’t help but marvel, “Damn, that’s impressive.”
The car was clearly obscenely expensive. A bodyguard vehicle pulled up alongside them to provide an extra layer of protection. Feeling reassured, Song Tao turned back. Outside, it was a hail of bullets; inside, Qin Zheng sat as steady as a mountain, a cigarette burning slowly between his fingers, the scent of tea leaves floating in the air.
Song Tao had always known there were many people who wanted Qin Zheng dead.
It hadn’t just started when he took over Qin Yuchen’s position. Kidnappings and assassinations had been a constant rotation since he was a child, and even the five years Song Tao had spent as his “step-brother” hadn’t been exempt from the chaos.
“There really are a lot of people who want you dead.”
“Weren’t you once one of them?”
Recalling the assassination incident Song Tao had once plotted, he muttered under his breath, “Petty.”
Fortunately, the driver’s voice came through the speakers, preventing the awkwardness from lingering: “Sir, the matter has been resolved.”
The surroundings returned to normal. Qin Zheng hadn’t even finished his cigarette. It was unclear if the attackers were too incompetent or if his men were simply that formidable.
Qin Zheng didn’t take Song Tao to eat immediately. Instead, he brought him to a hair salon. Despite its high-end appearance, the salon was empty of customers; the staff was lined up neatly at the entrance. When Qin Zheng led Song Tao in, they bowed in unison.
Qin Zheng motioned toward Song Tao. “Dye it black.”
The manager nodded and smiled, walking toward Song Tao, but the Omega backed away. “I don’t want black. Give me green lemon green. It’s refreshing~”
The manager looked troubled.
Song Tao didn’t press him, but instead stared at Qin Zheng.
The two engaged in a silent tug-of-war. Qin Zheng sat on a black leather sofa. Although he appeared composed with his legs crossed, he was actually gritting his teeth in frustration. The brat had grown into quite the rebel.
He used to be somewhat obedient when they were little.
“A building in Fengdu, the latest Seth-model aircraft, and jewelry from Mo’ang.” Qin Zheng tapped his wrist comms. “Plus ten million. Dye your hair black, take off the earrings, and seal that lip ring.”
The sound of swallowing echoed in the salon. It was the sound of ordinary people salivating over that kind of money—no shame in it; everyone loves wealth.
Eyes darted toward Song Tao. So, this is Qin Zheng’s lover? Qin Zheng was incredibly generous, but this lover was also incredibly bold. They didn’t even want to imagine the price one would have to pay just to spend a night with someone like Qin Zheng.
Song Tao was also stunned for a second. He hadn’t expected the Alpha to actually agree to his outrageous demands. But on second thought, this was just a drop in the bucket for Qin Zheng. It wasn’t “real” money to him.
That wouldn’t do.
“How about this: if you promise me one thing, I’ll agree to your terms.”
He crossed his arms, looking like a merchant hiking up his prices. The others gasped, thinking he was being far too greedy.
Unexpectedly, Qin Zheng just toyed with his exquisite lighter. “Let’s hear it.”
His attitude was lofty. People who have spent a long time in positions of power don’t lose their cool when negotiating; it’s more like a game to them. No matter how high the stakes, they can afford it and they have the power to flip the table whenever they want.
Song Tao smiled. “Find my friend a good job. You beat up his boss today and got him fired.”
The onlookers were stunned. Wait, that’s it? We misjudged you.
They only wished they could be friends with this beautiful, spirited Omega.
Qin Zheng gripped his lighter. He remembered the Omega who looked like a good match for Song Tao. Having learned from his previous lack of investigation, he had since looked into Song Tao’s life thoroughly and knew exactly who Su He was.
His gaze toward Song Tao held a hint of appreciation. The boy was loyal to his friends.
“Fine.”
Su He, who was currently having the time of his life at Cloud Heaven, had no idea that a stroke of incredible luck was about to land in his lap.
Only then did Song Tao behave and let them dye his hair. He didn’t mind losing most of the earrings; honestly, wearing so many made his ears ache by the end of the day. But the lip ring.
He truly liked that one.
He licked the metal. “Qin Zheng, let me keep the lip ring. It’s very stimulating when you bite it during a kiss.”
Qin Zheng’s eyelashes flickered. He remembered the “kiss” that wasn’t quite a kiss they’d shared that night. If Song Tao had been wearing the ring then, he definitely would have bitten it and ripped it out.
However, Song Tao’s words made him irritable.
He knew that sooner or later, an Alpha would date Song Tao, kiss him, and do every intimate thing imaginable. But… most Alphas in this world were trash. They were dogs, ungrateful bastards, and leeches.
Their heads were filled with nothing but lust; their only goals were possession and marking.
They simply weren’t worthy.
He pressed his tongue against his molars. They weren’t worthy of the warmth, moisture, and softness of that mouth, let alone the right to bite Song Tao’s lip ring.
He lifted his narrow, thin eyelids, his dark gaze finding Song Tao in the mirror. His eyes settled on the ring hugging that plump lower lip. Moreover, since Song Tao was now under his management, he was his property.
“Just that one.”
He had relented.
Song Tao happily blew him a kiss. “Thanks, Sugar Daddy~”
Several employees quickly bowed their heads. They play so wild. They couldn’t help but imagine the scene when those two were together.
The beautiful, slender Omega being bounced around, crying out “Daddy” in a plea for mercy, his voice a mix of pleasure and pain that made it impossible to tell if he wanted it to stop or go faster and harder.
The tall, muscular Alpha, not known for his patience, slamming a large hand against the Omega’s backside, leaving a vivid red print. All while whispering “spoiled brat” with a doting tone he didn’t even realize he had.
Sometimes cruel, sometimes gentle.
Breaking the Omega completely.
The employees enjoyed a full mental feast.
Song Tao’s hair was finished quickly, turning him back into a clean-cut, “shaggy-part” college student currently on hiatus. He checked himself in the mirror from every angle. The lead stylist was so nervous he could barely breathe.
The Omega turned and smiled. “You did a great job.”
In that moment, the stylist felt like he had seen an angel. “No, no… it’s just that you are exceptionally good-looking.”
It was the truth. Height aside, he was the most beautiful Omega the stylist had ever seen.
Song Tao and Qin Zheng left, with only a pair of simple colored-dice studs remaining in his ears.
On the way to the restaurant, Su He sent a message to make sure Song Tao was still alive. He glanced at Qin Zheng and sent a voice note back: “Don’t worry, he won’t eat me.”
Vibrant city lights flickered across the cabin, occasionally casting a splash of color over Qin Zheng’s cold face. The small mole under his left eye looked particularly alluring, drawing Song Tao’s gaze for a moment longer.
Back on his own turf, everyone Qin Zheng encountered bowed and scraped. Their private room on the 236th floor occupied the entire level. Above them, the ceiling displayed a brilliant starry sky, a vast galaxy, and the occasional passing meteor.
Of course, it was all tech, but the visuals were incredibly realistic. Even the floor looked like fine, soft sand.
Song Tao: “Is it appropriate for the two of us to eat in such a romantic place?”
Qin Zheng said coldly, “Turn it off.”
The staff immediately shut it down. Now, it was just cold floor tiles and a gridded ceiling.
Song Tao: “Actually, let’s have a little romance.”
The staff didn’t move, waiting for Qin Zheng’s word. Qin Zheng didn’t indulge him; instead, he waved the staff out. Annoyed, Song Tao moved away from the table and slumped onto the sofa. “If you don’t turn it back on, I’m not eating.”
Qin Zheng ignored him. Eat or don’t eat—you’re the one who will be hungry.
He didn’t pay any attention.
Song Tao stood up abruptly and stomped toward the door.
Qin Zheng suppressed his anger. “Get back here!”
Song Tao gave him the middle finger. Hilarious. He really thinks he’s my ‘Daddy’ and can order me around.
He pushed the door open, only to be blocked by a row of bodyguards who looked like a literal wall of muscle. He didn’t care; he knew Qin Zheng wouldn’t let them kill him, so he tried to shove his way through. The guards moved to stop him. Song Tao’s eyes darted around; he feigned a few moves against the guards before letting them catch him and haul him back.
Qin Zheng, sitting at the table, simply lowered his eyelashes. His henchmen increased their force, pressing Song Tao down. Song Tao went with the momentum and dropped to one knee.
Qin Zheng picked up a sterling silver dinner knife and pressed the flat of the blade against Song Tao’s cheek.
It was a bit cold. Song Tao frowned.
Qin Zheng slid the knife dangerously across Song Tao’s cheeks, his bottomless eyes staring him down. “Am I spoiling you too much?”
He wanted this reckless Omega to stop thinking they were still children playing games.
He could kill Song Tao with ease now.
He slowly rotated the knife in his hand until the sharp tip was pointed at the Omega’s porcelain skin, creating a tiny indentation. If he applied just a bit more pressure, there would be blood.
He said, “Don’t challenge me.”
Be good. Be obedient. Live according to my rules. That was the unspoken subtext.
Though Song Tao was looking up at him from below, his aura didn’t waver in the slightest.
He said, “Challenge me as much as you want.”
Be ruthless. Resist. Fight me with everything you’ve got—that’s the only way it’s fun. That was his unspoken response.
Song Tao leaned forward intentionally. The tip of the knife pierced his skin, and a bead of red blood immediately welled up. Qin Zheng’s pupils constricted, and he instinctively pulled the knife back, but Song Tao grabbed his hand.
He didn’t move forward again. Like a demon or an enchantress, he was impossible to fend off. He licked his lip ring before speaking in a low, haunting voice. “Qin Zheng, growing up really is interesting.”
Meeting you again is even more interesting.
Dishes filled with color, aroma, and flavor were brought in. The starry ceiling stayed off. To get revenge, Song Tao snatched every piece of food Qin Zheng aimed for. He wouldn’t let him eat! He’d starve him out!
As for the cut on his face, it was already starting to heal; he didn’t care about it.
Eating didn’t stop Song Tao from talking. He yapped away about the past few years, sighing, “I used to think Cyker City was small…”
Small enough that even if they separated, they would surely meet again.
But once they actually parted, the ten-year-old Song Tao realized the city was vast. It was so big that once they left the Qin family’s territory, even trying to get close again became incredibly difficult.
Song Tao fell silent and stabbed a piece of meat he couldn’t identify.
Clang!
Song Tao looked across the table. Qin Zheng had dropped his cutlery. His expression was strange. While Song Tao was still wondering what happened, the Alpha suddenly looked at him. In that gaze, Song Tao actually saw a flash of panic.
Qin Zheng was stunned. How is it happening again so soon? Was it because he had forcibly endured the previous surge?
Regardless of the reason, he had to get away from Song Tao immediately.
