The Movie Queen And Her Rival Just Went Public! - Chapter 6
Chapter 6
“Good dog, be good, big sister has meat for you to eat.”
Su Cancan stroked the fluffy, plump “smiling angel” in front of her, the other hand holding a chicken jerky treat to tease it. The little dog, unable to resist the snack, jumped right onto her.
Amidst the playful scene, the atmosphere abruptly changed. The round, big white dog transformed into a human, with a familiar face.
“Shen Luoyan?”
Having been pinned down by the Samoyed, the initial one person and one dog now became two people maintaining the final posture. Su Cancan was lying flat on the carpet, and Shen Luoyan was supporting herself with her hands on either side of Su Cancan.
At zero distance, the two people’s breaths intermingled, warm air currents hitting each other’s cheeks. Recognizing the person, Su Cancan couldn’t accept such intimate contact with Shen Luoyan. She stretched out her hands and pressed them against Shen Luoyan’s shoulders, pushing hard, unable to completely push her away but creating a space for breath.
Above her, the spurned Shen Luoyan was neither angry nor annoyed. She deliberately blew a puff of air onto Su Cancan’s face, the hot air causing her to momentarily tremble, her pretty face simultaneously turning bright red.
“Big sister?” Shen Luoyan was in a great mood, not even frowning when her calf was severely kicked.
Su Cancan couldn’t break free from her confinement, and the other party’s thick skin was beyond her tolerance. Frustrated, she turned her face away and cursed silently in her heart.
Ignoring could certainly numb her, but her body sensations didn’t lie. Su Cancan suddenly felt a dense, tingling sensation on her long, slender, pale neck—not strong, but moist and sticky.
This is too humiliating!
Su Cancan couldn’t bear it anymore. A surge of strength erupted from within her. With a strenuous push, she flipped Shen Luoyan over, glaring at her, “Are you a dog? You bite people too?”
Putting distance between them, Su Cancan only then noticed that Shen Luoyan’s critical areas were only covered by a few pitifully thin pieces of cloth. Her delicate, pale skin was glowing softly, and her well-defined curves, where they were full, were more prominent than He Wei’s.
Su Cancan had never harbored ill intentions toward a woman, and she knew the principle of “look but don’t touch.” She quickly closed her eyes, continuously muttering in her heart that this was a bad woman, someone who was messing up her life, the “dirty thing” who had been secretly involved in a sexual relationship for resources.
After being put down, Shen Luoyan smoothly lay on her side, watching Su Cancan’s every playful expression with a smile. Her eyes clearly held desire, so why not do something they both wanted?
She was a little puzzled, but forcing wasn’t a good habit; it would scare this pampered and served “cat princess” who had always been held in the palm of a hand. She could control her body.
Su Cancan still had her eyes closed. “Ha.” Recalling the insult directed at her, Shen Luoyan couldn’t help but chuckle. Su Cancan heard it, and her thick, curled eyelashes trembled slightly. She didn’t expose her, but continued slowly, “Big sister, of course little dogs bite.”
She articulated clearly, “But, big sister seems to bite too.”
A “shh” sound rang out, and blinding white light flooded the entire room. The woman immersed in sleep was abruptly disturbed, frowning in displeasure. She twisted a few times, and the soft silk quilt slid down a few inches, exposing her upper body tightly wrapped in a sleep robe, showing subtle signs of waking up.
Liu Yimin looked at the woman squirming like a silkworm cocoon on the bed and felt a surge of anger: “The sun’s up to your butt!”
Her mind accepted the signal faster than her body. Su Cancan instantly detached from her dream, reflexively opening her eyes and sitting up abruptly. The bright light made her eyes dry. She blinked mechanically, giving her body time to buffer.
Xiao Ke, carrying large bags, followed Liu Yimin and blurted out, “Ah? Sister Cancan, you’re not up yet? Didn’t you schedule a promotional photo shoot with the production team at 2:30? We’re going to be late.”
This was Su Cancan’s first experience with an alcohol-induced blackout. Not even a single fragment of what happened last night remained; it was completely wiped clean. She couldn’t recall agreeing to a photo shoot today. Unable to reply, she first picked up her phone to check the time.
The black screen lit up when she lightly touched it twice, displaying a large “13:42” in the center.
The next second, facial recognition successfully unlocked the phone. A Samoyed occupied half the screen, identical to the one in her dream. After zooming out the picture, the screen was filled with group chat records.
FOR U Team 1 (18)
Su Cancan glanced at the group name, feeling a little baffled. Subconsciously, she thought she might have acted crazy last night. She discreetly scanned Liu Yimin, who was staring at her with an expressionless face, making her even more convinced of her earlier guess.
She swallowed, catching a whiff of the fermented alcohol scent emanating from herself.
Publicist A: Welcome, teachers~ Everything related to the show can be discussed in the group chat from now on~
Su Cancan scrolled to the first message beneath the group entry notification. It was sent in the early hours of the morning, a time when she seemed to have been mixing drinks and hadn’t looked at her phone.
Shen Luoyan: Okay.
Shen Luoyan’s profile picture was a Samoyed sitting properly on the grass, exactly the picture she had just seen. Su Cancan’s eyelid twitched.
Cancan’s Manager: Okay, Cancan just finished filming, and the crew prepared a celebration banquet. She might not be able to reply right now, please forgive her.
Liu Yimin had explained for her below. So far, the chat records were completely normal, and Su Cancan briefly sighed in relief, continuing to scroll down.
The rest were simple introductions. After everyone except Su Cancan had posted, the group was quiet for a while, until two hours later, when it erupted like water splashing into a hot oil pan.
Producer BN: Sorry to bother you teachers so late. As stated in the contract, we have decided to adopt a simultaneous filming and broadcasting approach. The platform’s meeting feedback is to shoot as early as possible. Of course, we will adjust according to the teachers’ schedules, but the promotional photos for the initial buzz need to be produced first. Do the two teachers have time in the next couple of days? Please reply when received~
Shen Luoyan: I’m free any day recently.
Su Cancan sneered, just about to say something disparaging, when a green dialogue box appeared on the screen the next second. The content was invisible; it was a voice message lasting ten seconds.
Her internal alarm bells went off. She trembling clicked on it, and the voice message echoed in the room through the speakerphone.
“Of course I can! I’ve wrapped up filming, and aside from recording, I have nothing else to do afterward. Just name the time, I can be there on time even if it’s tomorrow!”
It wasn’t over; the next one played automatically.
“Surely Teacher Shen isn’t unable to make it, is she?” Su Cancan regretted it, shaking her head. She must have hated Shen Luoyan to the core already, not forgetting to put her down even when drunk. “But then again, Teacher Shen is busier. You can finalize the time and let me know.”
The subsequent content was predictable. Su Cancan urgently paused the voice message, biting her lip and looking pitifully at Liu Yimin.
In a stalemate, seeing Liu Yimin ignore her, she ruthlessly bit the soft flesh of her cheek, causing two streams of tears of physiological pain to well up: “I’m sorry, I was wrong. You know, I’ve never been this drunk.”
Liu Yimin looked like she wanted to say something but held back.
Su Cancan pressed her advantage: “I promise to quit. If I ever drink again, I’ll be a supporting actress for life and never win an award.”
“Don’t!” Liu Yimin had seen the little cat’s attempts at flirting and wanted to punish her to achieve a warning effect. It was absolutely inappropriate for her to joke about her own future. “Don’t, I don’t want to follow an artist who’s a supporting actor for life and has no ambition. If that happens, I’ll be the first to leave you.”
Su Cancan smiled brightly, getting off the bed barefoot to hug Liu Yimin’s arm.
The early summer wind still carried a chill, and the wooden floor was even colder. Su Cancan flinched instinctively upon touching the ground. Xiao Ke placed disposable slippers at her feet.
Liu Yimin sighed, helplessly saying, “Alright, alright, hurry up and go wash up. I checked the navigation. If we leave before 2 o’clock and drive a little faster, we might be able to make it on time.”
Su Cancan nodded obediently, slipped on the slippers, and darted into the suite’s bathroom.
With Su Cancan going to wash up, the remaining chores naturally fell to Xiao Ke, the life assistant. Liu Yimin was busy contacting the production team. Xiao Ke quietly folded the dirty clothes and laid out what Su Cancan needed to wear outside today.
“How many years have you been with Cancan?” Liu Yimin asked after explaining to the production team and putting away her phone.
“Are you asking me, Sister Liu?” Xiao Ke realized she was asking the obvious and nervously looked around. “I’m sorry. It will be two years in half a month.”
Two years.
Liu Yimin recalled her first two years in the industry. Without a mentor, she and Su Cancan discussed and undertook everything together. In a flash, several years had passed, and they were both able to handle things with ease and independence. She sighed at how fast time flew.
Xiao Ke waited quietly for Liu Yimin’s advice, not understanding why she was quiet. However, Liu Yimin had no intention of speaking again, so she had no choice but to keep her mouth shut and wait for instructions.
The sound of running water from the bathroom was faint, and there was also the subtle whirring of the central air conditioning circulating air in the room. The time was getting closer and closer to 2 o’clock.
“Oh, right, Sister Liu,” Xiao He said as if remembering something, carefully poking Liu Yimin’s forearm with her index finger.
Liu Yimin looked at her and asked, “What is it?”
Xiao Ke hesitated, pursing her lips. Finally, just at the brink of Liu Yimin’s patience, she blurted out: “When I went up to take care of Sister Cancan yesterday, I ran into Actress Shen, oh no, Shen Luoyan’s manager in the elevator. She said someone had kicked their car and laughed at the poor quality of our crew’s people. I got angry and said she was slandering and that I would check the surveillance this morning. It seems it might have been Sister Cancan.”
Liu Yimin sneered. If they had checked the surveillance, it was probably not “it seems,” but definitely something Su Cancan would do.
She regretted her previous decision. She absolutely must quit drinking. If she couldn’t quit, she would force herself to.
“I know,” Liu Yimin remained calm. The sound of water in the bathroom stopped, and she withdrew her gaze. “By the way, since you have a collaboration, you can’t call her Shen Luoyan directly anymore. If someone with ill intentions hears it, there will be gossip. From now on, call her Teacher Shen even in private.”
“Okay!” Xiao Ke nodded frantically.
Su Cancan came out of the bathroom wrapped only in a towel. Liu Yimin had already gone downstairs to confirm the route with Xiao Wu, leaving only Xiao Ke in the room. Su Cancan knew she had procrastinated too long, leaving little time for the road. Without saying much, she quickly changed clothes and rushed downstairs with Xiao Ke, getting into the nanny van to head to the filming location.
Inside the car, Su Cancan tried to talk to Liu Yimin several times, but Liu Yimin didn’t respond. Unsure of what had happened this time, Su Cancan pouted and asked Xiao Ke.
Xiao Ke was honest and replied seriously.
Kezi: Sister Cancan, did you forget everything that happened last night? Do you remember how you got back to the room? And did you kick Teacher Shen’s car before you left?
Su Cancan looked at the message, digging into her memories. She thought there might have been a kick. Resigned, she started sending apology messages to Liu Yimin.
The ride was silent. Xiao Wu, with his excellent driving skills, smoothly and punctually delivered them. The car door opened automatically. Liu Yimin still refused to speak to Su Cancan. Su Cancan, preoccupied, got out of the car and looked up to see a large white dog sprinting toward their nanny van not far away.
Big white dog, Samoyed, Shen Luoyan?
She wished she could go to a world without all this!
