The Movie Queen And Her Rival Just Went Public! - Chapter 24
Chapter 24
The warm liquid poured over every inch of her skin, and the air, filled with a rich fruity scent, rose up to form a thin mist.
Su Cancan had once “scolded” Shen Luoyan as a pervert, and although Shen Luoyan didn’t know about it then, she couldn’t refute it now. Su Cancan’s exclusive scent lingered at her nose, refusing to dissipate. To be honest, she was immersed in it.
Enveloped in the mist, her consciousness drifted, and she even fantasized that Su Cancan was in this small space with her.
Overly expansive thoughts eventually had to be reined in. Just as she felt a little lost, the water overhead suddenly turned cool. The icy coldness sobered her up—she disliked her.
The scent and the warmth instantly vanished, and her body shivered violently from the cold air.
After the water pressure stabilized, the temperature returned. Shen Luoyan, with her head bowed, listlessly raised her hand and adjusted the water to the coldest temperature.
Only after her restless heart was calmed did she step out of the shower.
Su Cancan was asleep, with only the wall lamp on her side of the room left on. Shen Luoyan tiptoed to the bed and, in the dim light, saw Su Cancan sprawled in a capital ‘T’ shape across the center. The quilt had slipped off her at some point, and the hem of her pajamas was rolled up, exposing the delicate, fair skin of her abdomen.
Afraid of waking Su Cancan, Shen Luoyan gently lifted the quilt to cover her upper body. The coolness from her fingertips startled Su Cancan, who smacked her lips twice, rolled herself into the quilt, and turned her back.
The empty space was made, and Shen Luoyan slowly lay down.
A good night’s sleep.
Su Cancan was woken up the next morning by the heat, as if she had been locked in a sealed room with no cooling product on a hot summer day. The heat traveled along her spine to her limbs.
She opened her eyes and froze. The thin sweat on her back instantly cooled a few degrees.
The ice-cold film empress Shen Luoyan was right in front of her. To be precise, they were pressed tightly together, her nose resting against the curve of Shen Luoyan’s ear. From this angle, the fine fuzz on Shen Luoyan’s cheek was clearly visible.
Su Cancan felt a surge of unwarranted anger. After repeatedly emphasizing no physical contact, Shen Luoyan leaning so close was truly excessive. Just as she was about to lash out, her mind suddenly cleared.
Shen Luoyan was lying straight; it was she who was lying on her side.
She wiggled her limbs—and it wasn’t just lying on her side…
The person with a guilty conscience cautiously retracted her limbs, her flustered eyes fixed on the deeply sleeping Shen Luoyan. Only after successfully retreating did she clutch the corner of the quilt and complain tearfully to Liu Yimin.
She painted a vicious image of Shen Luoyan, but before she could file her complaint, Liu Yimin’s block of warnings and reminders filled half the dialogue box.
Liu Yimin: How many bottles of red wine from home did you bring? Drink less before bed when you’re out, one glass maximum. Any more and you can’t control yourself.
Liu Yimin: If you’re sleeping in the same room, be sure to tell Shen Luoyan beforehand that your sleeping posture is wild. That kick during the last team building trip hurt me for a long time. If you kick her, her fans won’t let you off, and I can’t help you either.
Liu Yimin: OMG, you haven’t slept already, have you? My Ancestor, then you’re on your own.
Two streams of clear tears flowed down Su Cancan’s face. She only prayed that Shen Luoyan was unaware of everything that had happened.
She hoped Shen Luoyan was just a little dog who slept soundly and didn’t feel anything she did.
Too embarrassed to reply to Liu Yimin, Su Cancan propped up her pillow, leaned back, and opened her long-neglected main Weibo account. She hadn’t taken a close look since the official announcement of 《FOR U》. After refreshing the initial user page, her follower count had dropped by 300,000.
This was a sad ending, or perhaps a beginning.
Su Cancan scrolled up and down. She hadn’t even had time to familiarize herself with the usernames of the fans who followed her later, and now some of their avatars had been changed to pure black.
She accidentally scrolled and cut to the CP super-topic for the two of them, entering a new world.
While some were wailing, others were celebrating.
《FOR U》 was filming and airing simultaneously. To maintain buzz, the production team uploaded a clip of their in-car Q&A from when they moved into the house yesterday. Both people in each pair answered separately, edited into a short clip of less than thirty seconds. Her and Shen Luoyan’s segment was only five seconds, but CP fans had analyzed it in all sorts of ways.
Double S is so sweet: Wow, who understands? The aloof Shen and the beautiful Su are truly a match made in heaven. Beautiful Jie believes in falling in love over time, and aloof Jie tends toward love at first sight. It all makes sense now! Someone saw Beautiful Jie and fell in love at first sight, their heart fluttered, and then they pursued relentlessly, and finally Beautiful Jie fell in love over time. Smirking face/
When will Shen Luoyan and Su Cancan break up: Ugh, hey friends, has anyone dug up the two Jies’ clothes? It’s a bit much. Even real couples don’t wear matching outfits, but they did it first. Isn’t this a clear hint to us? They probably joined this show to test the waters for an official announcement! I advise you little lovers not to be too affectionate! (P.S.: Don’t criticize the ID, pure CP fan, just took the name first to prevent antis from changing it)
Su Cancan looked at Shen Luoyan, then back at her phone. Do people shipping CP now completely disregard the real people’s well-being?
Speechless, Su Cancan shook her head repeatedly.
Shen Luoyan opened her eyes blankly and saw Su Cancan holding her phone, shaking her head non-stop. She hadn’t slept well all night because the little wildcat was clinging to her, and her whole body ached. She swallowed and asked in a hoarse voice,
“What’s wrong?”
Su Cancan jumped in surprise. The phone flew out of her hand and hit Shen Luoyan’s collarbone. It happened so fast that she couldn’t stop it, only watching helplessly as Shen Luoyan was hit, furrowed her brow, and hissed out loud.
“Are you okay?” Su Cancan felt a little guilty and didn’t dare to take the phone back.
Shen Luoyan shook her head, picked up the phone, and handed it to her. She pulled at her collar and looked inside—the spot where it hit the bone was a little red.
“It’s good that you’re fine,” Su Cancan took the phone back. “It’s nothing. I just looked at the super-topic and saw the nicknames the netizens gave us.”
Shen Luoyan cleared her throat and asked, “Are they very strange?”
Su Cancan reflexively shook her head. The fact that she was beautiful was an objective truth, which she could certify, but as for the speculation about their relationship, she could not agree.
Shen Luoyan pressed, “Then why are you shaking your head?”
It was finally Su Cancan’s turn to look down at Shen Luoyan. She sighed, “It’s nothing much, just worrying about the couple name and exclusive nickname that haven’t been decided yet.”
