The Mad Beauty and the Sick Young Lady [Transmigration Novel] - Chapter 9
After Jiang Zhuoye returned to the hotel, she was busy rehearsing with other actors and discussing investment details with the director. It wasn’t until the evening that she finally had time to check her WeChat.
She saw the message from the private detective.
Su Li had left the Su family again, even going to a low-key bar before quickly leaving with Miss Ying, the eldest daughter of the Ying family. They each got into separate cars and drove, one after the other, to a members only clubhouse.
Jiang Zhuoye’s feelings were complex when she saw the message.
Gripping her phone, she wondered to herself: Perhaps I misjudged her?
Is Su Li not the fragile, delicate little white flower I thought, but rather a… social butterfly who frequents complicated venues?
Yet, she felt that wasn’t quite right; Su Li’s sickly appearance was definitely not feigned.
Jiang Zhuoye tapped her finger on the table a few times, still hesitant, but decided to go out and see for herself.
That decision is what led to the current situation.
The pills Su Li had taken contained sedatives. Now she lay on the sofa, eyes closed as if asleep, but her body still occasionally twitched.
The flush on her face had not subsided. Even with her eyes closed, she exuded an air of innocent seduction, her lips perpetually slightly parted like a blooming flower, occasionally revealing the tip of her red tongue.
The room was filled with the rich, intense scent of oranges, as if a ton of fresh oranges had been spilled in the small space.
Jiang Zhuoye sat beside her, gently pressing her fingers onto Su Li’s lips, slowly massaging them from side to side, her gaze not fixed on Su Li.
She smiled slightly, lost in thought.
“Little girl… Good, I didn’t misjudge you.”
If Su Li truly had been some kind of social butterfly, Jiang Zhuoye might have been extremely angry angry enough to utterly destroy her, body and soul.
But thankfully, she hadn’t misjudged her, and everything could proceed according to Jiang Zhuoye’s original plan.
Today’s heat was just a slight deviation.
Jiang Zhuoye felt she had no truly malicious intentions. She simply wanted to slowly stain the pure white flower with dirty gray.
She wanted to gradually turn the innocent and pure Su Li into a person as despicable and dark as herself, dragging her into the gutter and pulling her down into the lake.
That scene, she thought, must be beautiful.
Why should the clean always remain clean? Su Li was willing to go out with her late at night; her heart was not without a restless streak. Therefore, Jiang Zhuoye felt it was only natural to give her a little nourishment.
Jiang Zhuoye’s fingers lightly stroked Su Li’s cheek, feeling the heat, then slowly moved over her eyelids and lashes, finally resting on her fair forehead.
She looked at her with a somewhat benevolent gaze, patted Su Li’s hair, and softly said:
“Be obedient, little girl.”
Su Li’s sleep was very restless. In her dream, a lava-like heat continuously washed over her body, making it impossible to find peace.
Filled with pain, she vaguely dreamt of being marked, of someone prying open her legs, pressing down on the back of her neck, and deeply penetrating her…
It was too painful. She screamed in her dream, tears streaming down her face, pushing against the other person but unable to move. That blurry figure gradually transformed into a mountain, crushing her. Lava flowed, but she was immobilized.
Finally, Su Li woke up with a scream, drenched in cold sweat.
Her pupils were unfocused, her mind still immersed in the dream, and for a moment, she couldn’t tell where she was.
The bright sunlight shone into her eyes, slowly recalling her reason.
When Su Li turned her head, she heard a clack from her neck, like an old machine that hadn’t moved for centuries, difficult and slow.
She seemed to be sleeping in a hotel room. The decor was luxurious, and the bedding was extremely soft, yet it was still somewhat uncomfortable for her current state.
After a heat, an Omega’s entire body becomes extremely sensitive for a period to the extent that even a small piece of cloth clinging to the body can feel painful. The silk and cotton bedding here didn’t cause pain, but their friction made it hard for her to concentrate.
The sunlight told her it must be early morning. It was very quiet, but as Su Li turned her head, she noticed a person sitting in the corner.
The person sat in the middle of a wide armchair, their silhouette enveloped by the sunlight, thin and tall. Their long hair was coiled up, enveloping their entire figure.
She couldn’t see the face clearly, but Su Li immediately recognized her:
“Jiang… Zhuoye?”
Only when she spoke did she realize her voice was extremely hoarse. She couldn’t utter a complete sentence, managing only to strain out a name.
“Ah, you’re awake.”
The person in the armchair stood up gracefully and walked towards Su Li, asking with gentle concern:
“Is there anything uncomfortable? Do you want some water? I’ll pour you some.”
Su Li looked up at her, and in that moment, she felt as if she saw pure white wings behind Jiang Zhuoye.
Jiang Zhuoye was too beautiful, gentle yet dignified, with a soft smile playing on her lips.
Who wouldn’t feel an immediate sense of kinship with a woman like this?
“I’m fine… I’m okay… cough cough!”
Su Li hadn’t expected to cough so violently. She bent over, hunched like a shrimp.
A warm, soft hand, separated by the sleepwear fabric, lightly stroked Su Li’s back, gently patting to help her catch her breath.
“I… How… cough cough, did I get here?”
Su Li finally managed to ask after her coughing fit subsided.
“You went into heat at the clubhouse. I brought you here to rest for the night.”
Jiang Zhuoye answered with a worried tone, her hand still resting on Su Li’s back.
“One… one night! My family… No, I have to go home!”
Su Li frantically tried to get out of bed. She was wearing a sleep dress, she didn’t know whose, which was incredibly smooth and felt almost weightless. However, the rough sheets scraped her skin with such an intense movement, and she cried out in pain.
“Don’t move yet. Can your family accept you going back in this state?”
Jiang Zhuoye frowned, asking with genuine sincerity.
Su Li’s heart sank, and she finally pieced together everything that happened last night.
She had snuck out, gone to a bar, then a clubhouse, and then been lured into a heat by her former fiancee… Even if she hadn’t been… her family would absolutely not be able to accept this!
If she told the truth, she might never have the chance to leave home again. Her family might lock her up until she died at 24.
“No… I can’t let them know!”
Su Li grasped Jiang Zhuoye’s arm, her voice urgent, making her gasp for air several times, her chest tight with pain.
“I feel the same way, but… what are you going to do now?”
Jiang Zhuoye leaned closer, and Su Li caught a faint scent of fresh grass.
“I…”
Jiang Zhuoye’s eyes were sincere and earnest:
“Why don’t you stay at the hotel for a few days until you’ve fully recovered before going home? I’ll ask Guan Jingxian to cover for you, alright?”
Su Li froze for a moment. After thinking it over, this seemed to be the only way.
She held up one finger:
“Only for one day.”
Jiang Zhuoye smiled and nodded.
With a plan temporarily settled, and her body still feeling unwell, Su Li sat on the bed looking around helplessly. She found her phone and sent a message to Guan Jingxian, coordinating their story.
Guan Jingxian was at her limit but, considering the situation, knew she still had to keep the secret.
Su Li put down her phone and gently fell back into the pillow.
Jiang Zhuoye left and quickly returned with a breakfast tray: milk and a cucumber-shrimp sandwich.
Su Li got up, feeling embarrassed:
“I’ll go wash up…”
But Jiang Zhuoye set the tray down and quickly came over, gently pressing one hand onto Su Li’s shoulder.
Su Li’s entire shoulder quickly went numb, completely unable to move. A thread of stinging pain came, but it was no longer the burning sensation from when she was in heat.
It’s a good thing. Jiang Zhuoye really is an Omega, so she was completely unaffected by me last night and didn’t take advantage…
Su Li had no one else by her side right now. Jiang Zhuoye had saved her last night, so a feeling of trust naturally developed. Thus, she didn’t resist being held down by Jiang Zhuoye like this.
Jiang Zhuoye slightly curved her lips, smiling calmly and innocently:
“I’ll get your toiletries for you. Just stay in bed and eat. I know how sensitive our skin can be at this time.”
This comment… was so awkward…
With every word Jiang Zhuoye spoke, Su Li’s face grew a little redder. By the end, Su Li covered her face with her hands.
This person is clearly doing it on purpose! And saying “our”… Waaah, why does my heart feel a little sweet?
