The Mad/Beautiful Movie Queen Heard My Inner Voice After Losing Her Memory - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Unable to catch her breath at those words, Yu Guiyao broke into a fit of violent coughing.
This body was definitely not hers! It was pathologically fragile; one part affected the whole. Just by coughing, she actually coughed up blood!
If this wasn’t her body, why was she here?
Could it be that this wasn’t a dream at all? Had she actually entered someone else’s body—and this person was Fu Wenchen’s sister?
In her confusion, Yu Guiyao didn’t dare tell the other woman her bank card number or name. She was even a little afraid that her previous words had already given her away.
She was shocked, incredulous, and helpless, causing her to cough up blood continuously.
In her daze, she seemed to hear the distant sound of a fishing boat’s whistle, and her vision gradually blurred.
She saw Fu Wenchen frantically pressing the call button, then using her hands to repeatedly wipe the blood from the corners of her mouth. Those beautiful eyes were red from crying, tears falling incessantly as she screamed something frantically.
“Sister, don’t go, I beg you…”
“This isn’t a dream, I love you…”
The woman held her tightly, pressing kiss after kiss onto her lips, letting the blood stain both their mouths. She looked panicked and desperate, as if determined to force her to stay…
The sound of the whistle grew clearer. Yu Guiyao couldn’t help but close her eyes, then suddenly snapped awake.
“!!!”
Before her was the boundless sea. A few seagulls perched on the ship’s railing. She was lying on the deck; the boat’s whistle signaled they were about to dock.
Thank goodness—it was all a dream!
A sea breeze blew past, and Yu Guiyao let out a relieved sigh, wiping the cold sweat from her forehead.
Exactly—how could that possibly be real? She must be going crazy to have a dream like that.
Sighing, she subconsciously looked at her hands. Her fingers were long, and the callouses on them were the result of countless hours of hard labor. On her wrist was a string of cold beads; each one was crystal clear, like a teardrop.
Seeing these, her mind involuntarily recalled that suggestive dream—recalling the plump beads stained with transparent liquid, being swallowed and then spit out.
The woman in the dream couldn’t take it, whispering over and over: “Sister…”
I must really like girls who act soft and call me ‘sister,’ she thought. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have a dream within a dream where even a Movie Queen undergoes a personality shift.
Truly ridiculous.
Scolding herself for being crazy, Yu Guiyao stood up to work in the cabin.
She easily lifted a crate weighing over a hundred pounds. Just then, her best friend Lin Xiao called, and she quickly answered.
The female voice on the other end was urgent: “Yaoyao, have you docked yet?”
“The fluorescent ‘sea fire’ appeared in our village recently, right? Even a big-name film crew has come here to shoot.”
“Do you want to come? Being an extra pays 300 yuan a day! It’s Fu Wenchen’s crew—they’re filming and airing simultaneously, and the first episode just became a massive hit!”
Wenchen? Fu Wenchen?!
For some reason, the moment she heard that name, Yu Guiyao’s ears turned red. She steadied herself before smiling: “Of course I’ll go. 300 a day is a lot.”
“Great, come over as soon as you get off the boat. They’ve already started filming.”
“Got it.”
Hanging up, Yu Guiyao tied her hair up high and started working.
After all, an ordinary person like her could only spend her life working hard. It was impossible for her to have any connection with people in high society.
A dream is just a dream.
…
With a loud roar, the fishing boat docked.
It was evening. A fiery sunset enveloped the small fishing village, and waves lapped at the golden sand.
Unlike the usual tranquility, the shore was now packed with tourists, bustling with activity.
Yu Guiyao felt some strange looks as she stepped off the boat, but she didn’t pay much attention, hurrying toward the film set.
What she didn’t know was that a man hidden in the shadows quickly sent out a photo he had just taken.
Boss, I found her.
The fishing village was only so big; how could she not be found?
Fu Wenchen leaned against the side of the hospital bed. It wasn’t until she saw the woman in the photo that she finally breathed a total sigh of relief, tears welling in her eyes.
She had to be grateful she took the gamble.
The other woman had once said that she could only wake up if the two bodies were within a certain range.
So, for seven years, she had taken “Sister” all over the world, sending people everywhere to look for her, never imagining the other woman was in this tiny fishing village.
If it weren’t for the rare fluorescent sea appearing here, she might never have found her…
Fu Wenchen gently stroked the cheek of the woman lying beside her, her eyes full of deep attachment, while staring obsessively at the person in the photo.
In the photo, the woman had her hair in a high ponytail. Her figure was slender and tall—standing at 175cm—wearing a simple T-shirt and sweatpants. Her looks were bright and striking.
Compared to seven years ago, she was slightly more tanned and had a scar on her forehead. She looked full of endless energy, almost like a different person.
But those fox-like eyes still shimmered with light. There was a small mole on the tip of her nose. Under the setting sun, her crimson lips curled slightly. Her neck was covered in sweat, which flowed past several characteristic small moles before sliding into her collar.
Fu Wenchen’s hands trembled slightly. Her fingertips lingered over the face of the person in the photo. Seven years of regret and longing seemed ready to erupt; her eyes were filled with an intense madness.
However she had lost her, she would find her back.
She would never let her leave again for the rest of her life…
Thinking of this, she immediately got up to leave and messaged the contact: Where is she?
She went to the film set.
…
As night fell, Yu Guiyao arrived at the set.
Countless fans were blocked outside the filming area, refusing to leave. Security guards kept explaining: “Tonight is only for supporting roles. The lead won’t be coming. You should all go home; it’s quite cold at night.”
Even her friend Lin Xiao was sighing: “What a shame. I’ve been here for days and haven’t seen Wenchen once.”
“I really wanted to get an autograph… Waaaaah…”
She tugged at Yu Guiyao’s hand, faking a cry. Yu Guiyao put on the black night-suit and lay down with her, asking with a smile: “What am I playing?”
“What else? A corpse.” Lin Xiao grabbed a handful of mud and smeared it on her, adding: “Specifically, a corpse in the mud on a rainy day.”
Yu Guiyao: “…”
Seeing her silence, her friend comforted her: “You’re lucky. This popular supporting actress had many NGs, and several extras couldn’t stand being soaked in the rain. Plus, since Wenchen hasn’t been coming these past few days, the fans didn’t want to suffer either. That’s why there was an opening.”
But just as she finished speaking, a burst of screams erupted from the fans outside: “AAAAHHH! WENCHEN!”
“FU WENCHEN!”
It turned out the wait wasn’t in vain.
Lin Xiao jumped up excitedly at the sound, peering toward the entrance.
Not just her—the entire serious atmosphere of the crew instantly became lively. The director himself went to the entrance to greet her.
Yu Guiyao looked over curiously, but after waiting a long time without seeing anyone, she couldn’t help but start to doze off.
Lin Xiao, bored, teased her: “I think you should find a partner or maybe follow a celebrity occasionally. If you keep going like this, you’ll lose all your spirit.”
“I like younger ones—the kind who are clingy and act spoiled toward me. I just haven’t met one yet.”
Yu Guiyao smiled, but the next second, the whole crew was in an uproar.
It turned out Fu Wenchen had gone straight to the dressing room.
The moment she stepped out, the lighting technician subconsciously turned the lights toward her. She was dressed in fiery red martial arts attire, with tassels at her waist and a whip in her hand.
The light created a halo around her. Half of her dark hair was bound by a jade hairpin, and a phoenix-tail floral mark adorned her forehead. Her thin crimson lips were pressed together, and gold light seemed to dance on her fluttering eyelashes.
Cold light flowed in those peach-blossom eyes—exquisitely beautiful. She scanned the surroundings as if searching for something.
Suddenly, her gaze locked onto this direction.
Abruptly making eye contact with Fu Wenchen, Lin Xiao was ecstatic, shaking Yu Guiyao’s hand: “Look! Look! Wenchen is looking over here!”
But seeing no reaction from Yu Guiyao, she looked over and saw that the other’s face was buried in the mud. She had fallen asleep?!
Yu Guiyao couldn’t help it; she was really sleepy—inexplicably sleepy.
Just as she seemed to drift off in a daze, she suddenly snapped awake.
When she opened her eyes again, she was in a bright hospital room.
It was the same hospital room from her previous dream.
Not only that, a middle-aged couple was standing guard nearby. Seeing her wake up, they immediately wept with joy, holding her hand and calling out: “Qingdu, you’re finally awake!”
Yu Guiyao: “???”
Huh???
