The Little Kitten Was Raised By Her Childhood Friend To Be His Wife - Chapter 2
The little lion was still dazed by Ruan Ruan’s sticky-sweet, milky voice. When he heard Ruan Ruan’s cry for help, he saw the tiny kitten twisting left and right like a little “cat-caterpillar,” unable to get up. He immediately lost his composure.
“Little brother, I’m coming to save you!”
The little lion hopped onto the sofa and used his head to nudge the kitten, wanting to help him flip over. However, he didn’t dare use too much force, and his first attempt failed to lift him.
Ruan Ruan continued to wiggle and let out “meow-wu” cries in his milky voice. To an outsider, it would have sounded like he was facing a great danger or a villain.
The little lion grew even more anxious, his fluffy tail swishing rhythmically back and forth. But he didn’t give up. He secretly added a bit more strength and nudged the kitten again. The cat-caterpillar almost flipped over.
Now knowing exactly how much force to use, the little lion tried a third time and finally succeeded in flipping the grunting cat-caterpillar over.
Victory!
A trace of confusion flashed through the kitten’s innocent, wide eyes. He finally felt the reality of having his four paws no longer suspended in the air.
The kitten wobbled as he sat up. His large, round eyes drooped pitifully as he said in a wronged, milky voice, “Wu… Baby shouldn’t have drunk so much milk. Baby is too heavy… Brother couldn’t even lift me…”
Little Lion: ?
The kitten remained immersed in the sadness of being “too heavy.” His round little head hung down, making him look like a little jar, a very aggrieved little jar.
Suddenly, the kitten felt himself being lifted into the air again. Before he could even let out a “meow,” he felt his paws touch something. His pink little paw pads stepped onto a patch of white fluff, it was soft and it moved.
It wasn’t until the little lion’s voice came from beneath him that the kitten realized he was on his fluffy brother’s back!
Seeing the kitten looking so miserable had broken the little lion’s heart. It certainly wasn’t because his brother was too heavy! In his urgency, the little lion had picked the kitten up by the scruff and placed him on his back. He felt this was the only way to make his brother believe he wasn’t heavy at all.
“Brother, look! I can carry you!”
As he spoke, the little lion hopped gently in place to prove how easily he could carry him.
The kitten let out a surprised “Wawu!” It was as if he had discovered a super fun toy. He felt like he was flying on his brother’s back! Just like the character he liked in the storybooks his mom read to him, that character could fly too!
A toddler’s emotions come and go quickly. His previous grievance vanished instantly, replaced entirely by fun and surprise.
Using all four paws, the kitten bravely crawled up his brother’s back. Soon, a round cat head appeared right between the little lion’s two fluffy ears.
Ruan Ruan’s voice was full of admiration: “Brother, you’re so amazing! I’m flying!”
Hearing his brother praise him so sincerely, the little lion’s confidence exploded. He puffed out his little chest with pride, and his desire to show off more skills in front of his brother skyrocketed.
He remembered the slide he had played on at the nursery. The little lion looked up toward the top of his head and asked excitedly, “Brother, do you want to play on a slide?”
A slide? The kitten remembered a long, slanted toy in their old garden that he liked very much. He meowed excitedly, “Baby wants to play slide!”
The little lion aimed his back toward the cradle and shouted, “Here comes the slide!”
As soon as he finished speaking, the little lion crouched low. His back became a small slide, and the kitten slid down smoothly, landing steadily on the thick, soft cushion.
The kitten’s excited cries never stopped. As soon as he landed, he trotted back to the little lion on his short legs, rubbing his cat head against him and acting spoiled: “Brother, again! Slide again, Brother!”
The little lion was completely lost in those sweet calls of “Brother.” Forget doing it again, he would do it a thousand times.
“Hold on tight, Brother!” The little lion easily picked the kitten up again. The kitten cheered as he slid down once more. The two of them went back and forth, having the time of their lives.
The laughter of the two little ones echoed in the parlor, making the two mothers watching from the side feel very relieved and happy.
Sang Yi couldn’t help but marvel. This was the first time she had seen her younger son treat another cub of a similar age with such care and tenderness. If he had put even half of this effort into the cubs at the nursery, she wouldn’t have been called in for a “chat” with the teacher yesterday.
Ling Xiao was relieved because Ruan Ruan was an only child and a sensitive boy. She had been worried he wouldn’t adapt to the new environment, but thankfully, he now had “Brother Xiao Ye” to keep him company.
After playing for a while, the two little ones got tired. The kitten lay in the cradle, his pink tongue sticking out, his soft, chubby belly rising and falling.
Because the little lion was much larger, he could only stick his fluffy head into the cradle while his body lay outside. His eyes followed the kitten constantly as he also panted with his tongue out.
After resting for a bit, the kitten finally remembered what he had intended to do in the first place. Baby needs to lick his fur! Can’t forget that!
Because they had played a bit wildly, his fur was even messier now, especially the ring of fur around his neck and chest, which was sticking out in tangled clumps.
The kitten sat up and lowered his head to start grooming. The problem was that he wasn’t just a short-legged cat; he was a long-haired cat. The fur on his neck and chest was already quite long.
After the very first lick, the cat’s head snapped up, looking wronged: “Meow-wu, fur is too long. Didn’t reach the tips!”
The kitten refused to give up and tried again, tilting his head back at a 45 degree angle. Still no luck.
The kitten furrowed his “bean” eyebrows. His milky voice sounded displeased as he muttered to the fur in his mouth: “Bad… bad fur. Watch me, wa-wu, wa-wu…”
The kitten used all his strength, licking the fur and tilting his head back so far his little body almost flipped over. To his surprise, not only did the fur stay tangled, but it also got caught on his tiny teeth!
“Wooo, bad fur… catching Baby and won’t let go!” The kitten got so worked up that he gave a sudden, sharp tug with his head. He lost his balance and fell onto the cushion with a paji, literally grooming himself into a faint.
Seeing this, the little lion hurriedly propped the kitten up with his fluffy head, his voice full of worry: “Brother, did that hurt?”
The angry cat head rose from the cushion, complaining to his brother: “Ba… Baby wanted to lick the fur smooth. Bad fur, it…”
The kitten’s words were disjointed, he was clearly both angry and exhausted.
He wanted to continue his protest, but the next second, something warm and wet landed on his chin. The kitten immediately giggled from the tickling: “Brother… haha, it tickles…”
But it feels so good!
The kitten finally realized his brother was helping him groom. Everywhere his brother licked, the fur smoothed out instantly, just like when his mom groomed him.
The kitten sank into the familiar sensation, trustingly exposing his soft belly. He let the little lion groom the fur on his neck and chest, purring happily.
Hearing the kitten’s purrs, the little lion knew his brother was happy. His heart bloomed with joy, and he began to purr while he licked.
Grooming just one patch wasn’t enough; he was a responsible big brother!
So, when Ling Xiao and Sang Yi walked over again, they saw Ruan Ruan being held in his brother’s arms, getting licked repeatedly.
Ruan Ruan had his eyes closed in bliss, his purrs sounding like a little drum. Every now and then, he would praise and thank his brother in his sweet voice.
The fur on Ruan Ruan’s body had become incredibly smooth, except for one thing.
The top of the kitten’s head had been licked into the shape of a sucked dry mango pit!
Sang Yi: …?
