The Little Jealous Cat Who Transmigrated into a Delicate Beauty - Chapter 5
Smack!
The harmonious scene didn’t last long before it was brutally snapped by the cat owner’s violent behavior.
Ye Qingqing’s cat eyes followed the source of the sound, watching a large cockroach scuttle rapidly toward the underside of the bed.
Clutching a broom, the cat owner stared ferociously in the direction the cockroach had fled, her beautiful peach-blossom eyes narrowing with the predatory intensity of a beast encountering its prey.
Influenced by her, Ye Qingqing crouched instinctively on the ground, her ears pinned back against her head in a posture of readiness. Not only that, but a low, threatening “woo-woo” growl vibrated in her throat.
Teacher Tmall: “…”
It turns out the King of our clan is actually… this cute!
In the next second, the cat owner also flopped onto the floor with a thud. Her narrow eyes squinted as she swung the broom wildly with a series of frantic clacks.
She was so fierce that the little cockroach hiding in the corner began to tremble in fear.
Ye Qingqing let out a “wa-ow” at the images on the memory panel.
“Idiot! Doing that will only scare the prey away. Watch me!”
She swung a paw forward.
Beep beep, Memory Repair in progress, please wait…
The blue memory was forcibly interrupted. The Cat King turned her head, looking indignantly at the plastic logo beside her.
“Where is my prey?”
Teacher Tmall grew extremely nervous, exerting every ounce of its primordial strength to push the internal program until the memory was restored.
However, by this time, the scene under the lens had already shifted.
The tiny rented room had been turned upside down by the cat owner, and that damned cockroach had long since vanished into some unknown nook or cranny.
The beautiful girl had worked herself into a sweat; her body felt limp as she lay side-by-side with a pile of cluttered belongings.
“Meow~”
At that moment, Little Qinqin dragged her sickly body down from the table. She wobbled over to her owner’s side and used her tiny, barbed tongue to gently lick the girl’s forehead, letting out a comforting meow.
“Master, don’t be discouraged. Catching cockroaches is something we cats are best at!”
In that instant, Su Su smiled. Her beautiful eyes curved into crescent moons. She carefully lifted the kitten and placed it on her chest, stroking its head while playing.
“Little kitty, how can you be so cute!”
Looking at the cat head whose fur was being ruffled into a mess, Ye Qingqing instinctively tilted her head.
“Let go of this King! You’re the cute one!”
Beside her, Teacher Tmall was holding back laughter so hard it almost caused internal damage. Taking advantage of the Cat King’s distraction, the old fellow hurriedly adjusted its plastic body.
The cat owner gazed intently into her kitten’s eyes.
“Little Qinqin, you’re so adorable. How about I call you ‘Little Qinqin’ from now on?”
Qinqin cooperated with a meow, rubbing her small head against the owner’s palm. It was unimaginably precious.
The girl giggled, repeating the name over and over.
“Qinqin, Little Qinqin, my Little Qinqin…”
Ye Qingqing let out a sour “woo.”
“What’s so good about ‘Qinqin’? It’s so tacky!”
She was highly dissatisfied with the name.
After tidying up the room she had disorganized, the cat owner used a delivery cardboard box to build a temporary cat nest. She lined it with her own cashmere scarf. After settling Little Qinqin inside, she took a recipe tutorial and went to the kitchen to prepare cat food.
There was chicken breast in the fridge. She boiled it and shredded it bit by bit onto a plate. Worried the cat might not be used to it, she added a hard-boiled egg, peeling away the white to take out the yolk, mashing it into the meat before bringing it out.
Little Qinqin ate ravenously; she hadn’t seen food in days.
Seeing her kitten eating so happily, the cat owner felt a sudden surge of accomplishment.
“Eat slowly, I’m not going to snatch it from you!”
From her god-like perspective, Ye Qingqing couldn’t help but swallow her saliva. She turned and meowed at Teacher Tmall.
“What kind of strange food is this?”
Her tone was that of an exclamation, yet her stomach betrayed her by letting out a growl.
Teacher Tmall dutifully opened the menu list in its food favorites, its electronic voice speaking mechanically.
“In reply to the Great King, this is human chicken breast mixed with boiled egg yolk. It can be described as a delicacy of the highest order, with inexhaustible flavor!”
Ye Qingqing licked her lips. She turned her nose up at the image of the feasting Little Qinqin and the plate of food, letting out a huff.
“What ‘highest order’? Would this King ever care for such things?”
As soon as she spoke, her stomach let out another uncontrollable growl.
Teacher Tmall, ever the flatterer, chimed in at the perfect moment.
“Yes, yes, of course. Regardless of how ‘rare’ it is, our Great King has seen everything things that fly in the sky, run on the ground, and swim in the water!”
Ye Qingqing frowned.
Teacher Tmall didn’t understand how its flattery had backfired again. It peeked at its mind-reading mechanism.
When this King is free later, I must find a place to personally taste this human chicken breast!
Teacher Tmall: “!!!”
Its “old” worldview was ultimately shattered. It had never dreamed that the Cat King who usually twisted heads off at the slightest disagreement would be such a hypocrite!
Watching the kitten finish all the food, the cat owner gave its head a satisfied pat. She set out some cooled boiled water and made sure the nest was cozy. Once she saw Qinqin lying down, she went to take a shower.
The sound of splashing water came from the bathroom. Little Qinqin, curled up in the cashmere scarf, jolted. Ignoring the pain in her body, she rushed out.
Through the frosted glass, the owner’s silhouette was faintly visible. The water from the showerhead flowed sometimes rapidly, sometimes softly.
“Meow~ Meow~ Meow~”
Little Qinqin was frantic with worry. She stood on her hind legs, pressing her front paws against the glass door. Her pink paw pads slapped against it again and again. It pulled at her wounds, causing a tearing pain, but she did not stop for a single moment.
Cats are naturally afraid of water. Having fought many battles, Ye Qingqing’s heart tightened as she heard the sound of the water.
“Is she in danger?”
“Great King, do not worry. The Little Master is just bathing; there is no danger. Their ability to control water is several times stronger than us cats!”
The Cat King, who refused to be inferior in anything, saw her amber glass eyes flash with a green light the moment she heard the phrase “several times stronger.”
Teacher Tmall was terrified; its plastic body pressed against the floor trembled violently.
“Of course, the Great King’s water-control ability is not bad either!”
Ye Qingqing’s face remained grim and silent. Teacher Tmall felt a chill in its heart and checked its detection mechanism again.
You old fogey, you’re so old yet all you do is extinguish our own prestige and boost others’!
The old fellow instantly wilted. Its triangular mouth shrank into a short, straight line, silently defending itself in its heart.
But what I said is the truth!
Just as the old and the young were entangled in the debate over water-control abilities, the bathroom door clicked open from the inside.
What appeared before them was a pair of warm, fair, slender, and elegant legs.
The cat owner emerged wrapped in a bath towel. Her shoulder-length hair was loose, with droplets of water still dripping from the strands, hitting her sexy collarbones and sliding down bit by bit.
Ye Qingqing followed the trail of the water droplets, her gaze lingering between that pair of looming peaks. She didn’t know how to appreciate human beauty, but she found the scene very pleasing to the eye and couldn’t help but want to look more.
“Meow~”
Seeing her owner come out, Little Qinqin was overjoyed. She pounced forward, her two paws tightly hugging the girl’s ankle.
Su Su was startled by the sudden appearance of the furry thing, but then realized it was her kitten. A doting smile could not be hidden.
“Why aren’t you in your nest? Hmm?”
She tried to communicate with it using human language.
Qinqin meowed again in response, but her two paws didn’t loosen their grip at all, as if she had something urgent to express.
“What is it? Is the wound hurting again? Come here, let me see!”
The cat owner was anxious to check her kitten’s injuries. As a result, when she bent over, the bath towel loosened and slipped down. Her sensitive areas were exposed, and even those “winter plum” spots were visible without reservation.
Ye Qingqing’s cat eyes widened significantly. Almost purely out of instinct, she swung her tail across Teacher Tmall’s O-shaped eyes, completely blocking its entire field of vision.
