The Little Crybaby Continues to Court Death as a Cannon Fodder - Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Yu Qing’s face cycled through shades of red and white several times. He bit his lower lip in deep shame, his face looking incredibly aggrieved, as if he were enduring a monumental humiliation.
However, the spot where the snake had bitten him began to throb with a dull ache, reminding him that a decision had to be made immediately. Ultimately, driven by fear, he squeezed his eyes shut and tremblingly moved his hands away.
It was the choice Xi Yue expected.
With a gentle nudge on his shoulder from Xi Yue, Yu Qing was pushed back until he was lying flat on the sofa. His soft hair scattered in a mess, revealing his smooth forehead. The harsh overhead light made his eyes squint, followed by a wide-eyed dilation of his pupils.
The shirt on his right leg was unclipped. Xi Yue knelt over him on the sofa again, pulling down the pure white fabric that guarded the wound. He pressed the garter on the left leg firmly down and to the side, leaving the “injury” completely exposed.
Noticing Yu Qing looking at him, Xi Yue lowered his head toward the wound, intentionally locking eyes with him.
Under that direct gaze, he began to “suck out the venom.”
The moment the moist warmth touched him, Yu Qing’s mind went blank. An unprecedented sensation sparked a panic in him that was far more terrifying than the snake bite itself.
It was so strange… yet he couldn’t put words to it.
Overwhelmed by a sudden, inexplicable feeling, Yu Qing couldn’t help but let out a soft, whimpering nasal sound. Mortified, he immediately covered his mouth with both hands. But his face was so small that his palms masked nearly all of it, leaving only a pair of moist, panicked eyes visible, which only made him look more pitiable.
…
Meanwhile, on the other side of the building.
Lu Feng had been waiting in his office for quite a while, and he was surprised that Yu Qing hadn’t thrown a tantrum yet.
Yu Qing’s status in their social circle was somewhat awkward. His mother had been Elder Yu’s favorite daughter, but over twenty years ago, she had severed ties with the family for a man. She didn’t have an easy life, but she was too proud to bow her head. Elder Yu, equally stubborn, had stayed away to teach her a lesson, though he secretly sent people to support her small business.
The turning point was the birth of their grandson. Elder Yu was finally willing to accept his son-in-law, but shortly after, his daughter died in an accident. Heartbroken, Elder Yu left the boy with his father for a time so he wouldn’t lack a paternal presence.
The father’s business eventually flourished—largely due to Elder Yu’s invisible hand. However, the Yu family’s empire was vast, and everyone wanted a piece. Since Yu Qing’s mother had officially severed ties, technically he shouldn’t have been in the running for the inheritance. Yet, Elder Yu doted on him so much he even had the boy change his surname back to Yu. This had put Yu Qing’s uncle, Yu Yang, on high alert.
Lu Feng had only agreed to this blind date because Elder Yu offered significant business incentives. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bothered with a “spoiled playboy” like Yu Qing.
Still, Lu Feng felt something was off. He asked his secretary to pull up the security feed. The secretary was efficient; within moments, a live stream of the office appeared on his screen.
The second he opened the feed, Lu Feng froze.
On the screen, a young man was kneeling on the sofa, gripping a struggling ankle and cradling a snowy-white calf, slowly pressing his lips against it. His jawline was sharp and cold, his features usually resembling a tempered blade, but now they seemed to be melting under an abnormal heat.
The boy pinned into the corner of the sofa was smaller in stature, easily trapped in the other’s embrace. He looked utterly flustered; it was clear he wanted to push the man away, but he was held in a forceful, unyielding grip. His slender, delicate hand pressed against the man’s shoulder, creating a sharp contrast with the powerful male physique.
Lu Feng instinctively leaned forward, his eyes locked onto the monitor.
The camera was ultra-high-definition. He could clearly see the man sucking at the wound. The skin where the “snake” had bitten was becoming mottled from the suction, and even the surrounding soft flesh was being pulled into the fray. He could almost see how that wet, hot tongue was licking and swiping over the area to “clear the blood.”
And the expression on the man’s face… he looked intoxicated.
Only a fool wouldn’t see it—this guy was blatantly taking advantage of the situation!
Wasn’t this Young Master Yu supposed to be arrogant and overbearing? How was he being bullied like this without knowing how to fight back?
It was… it was… outrageous! To think they were doing such scandalous things in his office.
Lu Feng stood up abruptly, tugging at his collar to vent the heat rising in his chest. His voice carried a tremor he didn’t even notice: “Which office are they in?”
…
Lu Feng is on the warpath! Should he burst in and “rescue” the blushing Yu Qing, or will Xi Yue manage to finish his “treatment” and act perfectly innocent before the door swings open?
