The Innocent 'Green Tea' Alpha at Home is Actually My Boss - Chapter 3
Wang Gu handed the Alpha in rut over to the security guards, gave a few instructions regarding the evacuation, and turned back to look for Sang Weilian only to find that he had already vanished.
The event had been abruptly terminated. Wang Gu ran backstage, searching everywhere along the path toward the lounge.
“Squeak—” The heavy stairwell door was pushed open. Wang Gu peered inside: “Sang Weilian?”
Seeing no one, Wang Gu pulled his head back, and the heavy door shut with a loud “thud.”
The stairwell fell back into darkness. On a corner of the landing one floor below, Sang Weilian’s waist was gripped tightly by Lu Lin. His arms were draped around the Alpha’s neck, and his fragile, sensitive gland was damp.
The Alpha released his teeth with the utmost restraint and said hoarsely, “Teacher Sang, your manager is looking for you.”
Sang Weilian didn’t find the title strange; everyone in the industry called him that, especially juniors.
“Ignore him.” Sang Weilian’s entire body was soft. If the Alpha hadn’t been supporting him, he wouldn’t have been able to stand at all. His gland remained swollen and burning, aching for the Alpha to take another bite, but he was reaching the point where he could no longer suppress a large-scale release of pheromones.
He took a deep breath and asked, “Do you have a car?”
“Yes.” The Alpha backed away slightly, trying to see Sang Weilian’s face clearly in the dark.
“Go to my place,” Sang Weilian requested, panting.
“Okay.” The Alpha was obedient and submissive. He took off his coat, draped it over Sang Weilian’s shoulders, and picked him up on his back.
Sang Weilian let go of his last bit of tension, entrusting his entire weight to the Alpha.
When an Omega is in heat, they unconsciously develop a dependency on an Alpha; the higher the compatibility, the stronger the desire for dependency.
It was nature; it was instinct.
Sang Weilian once thought he would never depend on any Alpha, nor would he ever succumb to instinct until now.
His scorching breath fell on the Alpha’s neck and shoulder. Sniffing the cold, refreshing mountain spring scent, with sweat beading on the tip of his nose, he rubbed against the Alpha dependently, his thin lips occasionally brushing against the man’s skin.
Lu Lin’s arm muscles tightened. Sang Weilian leaned into his ear and asked, “What is your name?”
The voice was so close, thin as silk, ambiguous and lingering.
Lu Lin felt as if his heart were being lightly tickled by a feather.
He exhaled a rough breath and answered, “Lu Lin. ‘Lin’ as in rain forest.”
An unfamiliar name, and he called him “Teacher Sang” he was likely a newcomer in the industry.
Sang Weilian thought dizzily: A newcomer is good. Newcomers are very easy to handle.
Lu Lin’s car happened to be parked right next to the stairwell exit. They were lucky and didn’t encounter a single soul on the way.
After placing Sang Weilian in the back seat, Lu Lin closed the door for him and quickly sat in the driver’s seat.
Inside the enclosed car, Sang Weilian gave an address and could no longer suppress the Omega pheromones in his body. The scent of wild roses instantly filled the cabin. He stopped restraining himself, clutching Lu Lin’s coat as he sank into the soft seat, greedily inhaling the mountain spring scent from the fabric.
The veins on Lu Lin’s hands bulged as he gripped the steering wheel. The pheromones of an Omega in heat were too thick, especially when that Omega was Sang Weilian the Sang Weilian of his dreams.
Lu Lin’s chest heaved. He struggled to steady his breathing, releasing a faint scent of mountain spring pheromones, like a gentle stream slowly enveloping and soaking the intense wild roses.
Sang Weilian could feel that Lu Lin’s pheromones had a certain soothing effect on him, but he knew very well that his body was in a very bad state. He was burning all over, and the places rubbed by fabric were itching unbearably. Relying solely on soothing was like drinking poison to quench thirst; after a brief reprieve, the heat of the estrus became even more severe.
The gland Lu Lin had bitten was the same numb and itchy.
The place meant for reception was even more of a wet mess.
Sang Weilian buried his head in Lu Lin’s coat, took a deep breath, and urged: “Hurry…”
Lu Lin’s throat was dry. The word “okay” didn’t come out right. He coughed lightly to suppress his agitation, answered dryly once more, and increased the car’s speed.
“Bang!” The entrance door was slammed shut.
Sang Weilian was held as he sat on the entryway cabinet, bowing his head to exchange hot, wet kisses with Lu Lin.
Today, he was wearing a thin shirt and short boots the same color as his silver headphones. The shirt had a draped deep collar, and the area from the left waist down was made of semi-transparent gauze, making his tight waistline and abdominal muscles faintly visible.
Lu Lin’s hand was currently gripped right there.
White slim-fit trousers wrapped around his long, straight legs. The silver short boots on his feet had long since been kicked off.
“Go inside.” Sang Weilian managed to maintain a final shred of sanity amidst the wet kiss. He gave him a kick it was soft and weak, more like a caress.
Only after receiving permission did Lu Lin carry him toward the inner rooms.
Sang Weilian lay half-reclined on the bed, his waist limp, smelling the concentration of mountain spring pheromones in the air.
Too faint.
Dissatisfied, he grabbed Lu Lin, tugging at his shirt while complaining, “Where are the pheromones? Why aren’t you releasing pheromones?”
Sang Weilian realized that since the stairwell, Lu Lin had been constantly restraining the concentration of his pheromones, giving him only a little bit, then a little more only when it ran out.
Not enough. Not nearly enough.
It was too torturous.
He wanted more.
Sang Weilian panted, the corners of his eyes flushed red, his dark blue pupils revealing an unconscious allure.
Lu Lin swallowed, his brow drooping slightly, his ink-black eyes filled with hesitation and worry. He answered in a raspy voice, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to control myself. I might hurt you. If you don’t allow it, I…”
Alpha pheromones that are too strong have a powerful suppressive effect on Omegas, forcing them into passive submission. Sang Weilian had almost experienced this at the event earlier.
Sang Weilian’s eyelids felt heavy and swollen. He was extremely irritable. He blocked Lu Lin’s unfinished words with a deep kiss and bit his lower lip as if in retaliation.
The small wound from two days ago had just healed, and now it bled again.
Lu Lin looked like someone who had said the wrong thing, gazing at him pitifully. Upon meeting those seductive eyes, he jerked his head away as if struck by an electric shock.
His black hair clung to his forehead due to suppressed sweat. With a bleeding lip and a tensed jawline, the veins on his arms propped against the soft mattress bulged. His shoulder blades were hunched, and a blush like rouge spread from his ears down to his heavily heaving chest, forming a sharp contrast with his black shirt.
Sang Weilian licked his lower lip, tasting the metallic tang of Lu Lin’s blood mixed with the cool fragrance of the mountain spring both burning and cold.
This person was acting like a submissive, obedient dog again, even after being bullied.
It was his first time seeing an Alpha who wouldn’t use pheromones to suppress someone even after being lectured by an Omega.
What did he look like?
Sang Weilian thought aimlessly.
Like a large, soft, fluffy dog waiting for its master to pat its head.
Sang Weilian had almost no strength left; he was soft all over. Lying on the bed, he panted and commanded, “Come here.”
Lu Lin pressed his lips thin and moved closer.
Sang Weilian licked away the blood from the corner of Lu Lin’s mouth, feeling the coolness of the mountain spring pheromones flowing into his body. Enduring the surging thirst in his heart, he took a deep breath and mocked him: “Even at this stage, I’m still conscious. Don’t underestimate my endurance…”
Before he could finish his sentence, the concentration of mountain spring pheromones in the air skyrocketed. It was no longer a clear stream flowing under warm sunlight, but a mysterious, unknown, and surging tide beneath a spring’s eye, washing over the wild rose’s stem and fragile petals.
Sang Weilian no longer had the strength to speak, nor any room left to regret his provocation. Silver-white clothes were scattered across the floor. He was drenched in sweat; his “X”-shaped hairpin and black stud earring had long since disappeared. His curly silver hair clung damply to the back of his neck.
Obsessively and carefully, Lu Lin left one tooth mark after another on his gland, injecting thick pheromones into it.
“Not today.”
“No, I have some things to do. I’ll go to the set to check in a few days.”
“I’ll see to the arrangements.”
The film set?
The intermittent sound of a phone call caused Sang Weilian to slowly wake from his slumber. Outside, the sun was at its peak, shining through the floor-to-ceiling windows and casting a hazy golden glow around the Alpha standing by the window.
His nose was filled with the crisp scent of mountain spring. Sang Weilian buried his head deeper into the quilt, lifted his heavy eyelids, and spoke: “What…”
His voice was hoarse and out of tune. Sang Weilian was startled by his own voice and woke up significantly.
Hearing the movement, Lu Lin by the window hurriedly hung up the phone and ran out of the bedroom.
Sang Weilian was a bit stunned. What does this mean? He runs away as soon as he sees me wake up? Surely he isn’t afraid of taking responsibility?
All sorts of messy thoughts flashed through his mind. A deep sense of emptiness and insecurity welled up within him he weakly clenched his fist, knowing this was the instinctive dependence of an Omega on the Alpha who had temporarily marked him.
If this kid dares to sleep with me and run, I will absolutely make it impossible for him to survive in this industry!
Sang Weilian thought viciously. A breath caught in his chest, and he couldn’t help but cough several times in succession.
There was a clattering sound from outside, followed by hurried footsteps.
The owner of the mountain spring pheromones ran into the bedroom, face full of anxiety, carrying a cup filled with warm water. He carefully helped Sang Weilian sit up, placed a soft cushion behind him, and obediently held the base of the cup to bring it to his lips.
Lu Lin said softly and sincerely, “Drink some water. It’s warm.”
The emptiness and insecurity in Sang Weilian’s heart vanished instantly. His expression softened a bit.
This is more like it. Quite sensible.
He had no strength to move, and even his fingers were limp. He enjoyed the other’s care with a clear conscience.
After finishing half the cup of water, he finally found his voice and asked, “What set are you joining?”
Lu Lin knew he had overheard the call and spoke the truth: “The Glorious CEO.”
Sang weilian wasn’t surprised. After all, when he first met Lu Lin, the man was standing next to the audition sign for that very drama.
He asked again, “Is there a character you like?”
Lu Lin answered without hesitation: “President Miao.”
He hadn’t actually read the script. He only knew about the character “President Miao” because the director had previously invited Sang Weilian to make a cameo as him. The role was tailor-made to secure Sang Weilian’s involvement; it didn’t have much screen time and was purely a move by the production team to capitalize on Sang Weilian’s popularity. However, Sang Weilian had declined.
Sang Weilian raised an eyebrow slightly. Two consecutive chance encounters, and a favorite character that resembled him this made him even more certain of the thoughts in his head.
“Why? Because he’s like me? You want to get close to me?”
The tall Alpha’s face turned red instantly. His eyes dropped, hiding the surging longing within them.
Sang Weilian smiled. This was the exact image of someone whose motives had been seen through.
Wanting resources but being too embarrassed to ask a typical industry newcomer.
He used to loathe Alphas, especially those who couldn’t control their lower halves. But after just two brief encounters, he found that Lu Lin was very obedient. Most importantly, Lu Lin’s pheromones were very effective in treating his pheromone disorder.
In the past, he would rather take large amounts of inhibitors than pin his hopes for treating his disorder on any Alpha. But now, the inhibitors had lost their effectiveness.
If he wanted to ensure that accidents like the Siny event didn’t happen again and to extricate himself from the foul quagmire of public opinion as soon as possible, the only path before him was to obtain Lu Lin’s pheromones.
Fortunately, the other party also wanted something from him, so that made things easy.
Since his debut, although it hadn’t been long, Sang Weilian’s status as a Best Actor meant he could pick any script and work with any director. The thing he lacked least was resources and connections.
“The Glorious CEO is just an average drama, but the image of President Miao is decent. It has few scenes, making it suitable for a newcomer like you who hasn’t debuted. If you want to act in it, I can pull some strings and get you into the cast,” Sang Weilian said with full confidence.
Lu Lin was stunned: “Teacher Sang thinks I’m a newcomer who hasn’t debuted?”
Sang Weilian raised an eyebrow: “Are you not? I haven’t heard your name. Or have you already debuted? Eighteenth-tier?”
“…No, I just feel like I probably don’t even count as that yet,” Lu Lin answered ambiguously, instinctively avoiding his gaze.
Sang Weilian took it as him being thin-skinned and continued: “Not just this drama you can film whatever you want in the future. However, I have requirements.”
“…What?” Lu Lin asked.
“Don’t worry. I only need you to keep the secret and continue our current relationship.”
Lu Lin pursed his lips, his heart beating like a drum: “What relationship?”
Seeing how nervous he was, Sang Weilian reassured him: “Don’t be nervous. I’m not asking to date you.”
The smile of anticipation that was about to rise on Lu Lin’s face froze, quickly replaced by a slightly darkened expression. He waited silently for the rest.
Sang Weilian didn’t notice the change in his expression. He pondered for a moment before saying, “You must be available on call. Give me a temporary mark when I need it and help me resolve my needs during my heat. Additionally, I have a germaphobia of sorts; while this relationship lasts, you must remain single. I will be the one to decide when this relationship ends.”
“If you’re unwilling, then I’ll discuss a specific reward for the two times you helped me settle my troubles. After we are even, I’ll find another suitable Alpha. You go film your movies, and we won’t interfere with each other.”
After saying this, Sang Weilian gave an inconspicuous swallow. This was his first time deciding to “keep” a little star, and he was actually a bit nervous, fearing he might have misspoken. But he was Lu Lin’s senior and might even be his boss in the future he had to maintain his aura.
Hearing him say these things in such a calm tone implying he would immediately settle the reward and find the next Alpha if Lu Lin disagreed made Lu Lin’s nerves throb.
How could he let him go when he was already by his side? He might as well go along with the misunderstanding for now.
Hiding his disappointment perfectly, Lu Lin tilted the corners of his mouth up, appearing shy, his eyes flashing with a harmless light: “Is Brother serious?”
“Yes.” Seeing this, Sang Weilian nodded steadily. He felt more and more that Lu Lin was “on the path.” Calling him “Brother” was appropriate and convenient for outsiders.
Lu Lin seemed extremely excited, his voice trembling slightly as he confirmed: “Brother won’t regret it?”
It was a once-and-for-all solution why would he regret it?
Sang Weilian didn’t feel anything was wrong at all and answered forcefully: “Of course. I never do things I regret.”
Lu Lin showed a bright smile: “Then, I ask for Brother’s guidance.”
