The Film Queen’s Little Bunny Wife - Chapter 1
In the deep winter, all the small animals on Mingling Mountain were curled up in their burrows to escape the cold, and Tu Jiaojiao (Rabbit Jiaojiao) was no exception.
As a little rabbit demon who could transform into a human, her burrow was more presentable and warmer than those of other animals it was a detached little villa she had specially hired a construction team from the human world to build.
At this time, the fire in the villa’s fireplace was burning fiercely, the firewood stained with golden-red sparks, driving away the chill that made the rabbit’s whole body tremble.
“Sister, the spiritual grasses on the mountain are getting fewer and fewer,” Tu Jiaojiao said with a sad tone while lying on a soft beanbag chair so fluffy that the rabbit could completely sink into it, speaking to the fluffy grey Angora rabbit beside her.
This was currently the only rabbit in the world with whom she shared a blood relationship.
Her sister shared the same mother and was given the opportunity to gain sentience, surviving only by eating the spiritual grasses that Jiaojiao found for her.
Without enough spiritual grasses to maintain her health, she would also leave her early, just like other rabbits. Thinking of this, Tu Jiaojiao felt very sad.
Her sister could not answer verbally, but she looked up at her, her dark, moist eyes gentle yet distant.
Accustomed to her sister’s silence, Tu Jiaojiao pulled her close and idly combed the curled long fur. “Sister, let’s watch Rose and the Butterfly again. Ling Hanyan, the flower shop owner she plays, is just too beautiful. It’s amazing she suits any kind of flower with her temperament.”
Perhaps feeling uncomfortable, the rabbit in her arms mercilessly kicked her and hopped out of the beanbag chair.
Two hours passed, and the movie ended.
Listening to the faint female humming in the end credits, Tu Jiaojiao’s eyes were slightly red and wet. She was sad, and a pale complexion had lost its color.
The scene in the movie where Ling Hanyan fell into a pool of blood to protect Shi Fendie, who was a demon, looking like a blooming, brilliant red rose, was burned into her mind.
“Crunch, crunch…” At this moment, the sound of the rabbit chewing something with its three-lobed mouth reached her ears.
Tu Jiaojiao looked back, putting aside her sadness, and her blood pressure immediately shot up!
She pounced over and snatched the book with “Ling Han Blooms Alone” written on the cover from the rabbit’s mouth: “Sister, I’ve told you, that’s Ling Hanyan’s biography that I worked so hard to buy you can’t eat it before I’ve finished reading it!”
Ling Hanyan had passed away three hundred years ago. Because she never married and had no children, it took her a great deal of effort to find such recent material!
For some reason, from the very first time Tu Jiaojiao saw Ling Hanyan, she felt a strong liking for her, falling in love almost instantly with the “Widow Queen” actress separated from her by three centuries.
She had gradually accumulated many of her magazines, movie posters, and books at home. Ling Han Blooms Alone was the newest treasure she had found!
This day slowly passed.
When it was time to sleep at night, Tu Jiaojiao carefully hid the book under her pillow, fearing her sister would drag it out again to chew as food.
Falling asleep with the scent of the book’s ink, she had a long and vague dream.
It included scenes from her childhood when she secretly slipped out of Mingling Mountain and was held and gently stroked, and scenes of her as an ordinary white rabbit kept in a cage.
There was even a scene in the dream where her sister transformed into a human in front of her, turning into a stunning beauty with a much colder temperament, who looked about five parts like her.
“Miss, wake up, we’re almost at the set.” Tu Jiaojiao was awakened by an unfamiliar male voice.
Her body swayed slightly, and the faint car fragrance on her nose reminded her that she was in a car.
Before she opened her eyes, her mind clearly told her what had happened.
She had transmigrated into a book.
In other words, she had transmigrated into Ling Hanyan’s biography, becoming the second young lady of the Tu Group, bearing the same name.
Coincidentally, this “Tu Jiaojiao” also had an older sister named Tu Yueming, who was the head of the Tu Group.
The original “Tu Jiaojiao” had become a fan of the stunning and charismatic beauty Ling Hanyan after watching the movie No Medicine in the Jianghu, in which Ling Hanyan played a supporting role.
After whining and pouting to her sister for a while, she not only convinced her sister to invest money in Ling Hanyan’s new film, The Queen of Crane Spirits, where she played the lead role, but also secured a chance to visit the set.
She was on her way to visit the set right now.
She didn’t know what relationship the original “Tu Jiaojiao” had with her, but as a little rabbit demon in a time of declining spiritual energy, “go with the flow” was her attitude toward life.
Without waiting for the driver to urge her a second time, Tu Jiaojiao’s long eyelashes trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes. She smoothed her skirt, filled with anticipation.
The biography stated that The Queen of Crane Spirits was the first film where Ling Hanyan played the lead role, and it was the movie that made her suddenly famous throughout the country!
Tu Jiaojiao had always wanted to see this work, but three hundred years had passed, and entertainment materials had been replaced. She couldn’t find the full movie at all, only a few exciting clips and promotional posters.
Looking at Ling Hanyan in the poster, looking otherworldly and refined, the girl was almost crying with longing!
Now she could finally fulfill her dream, and her heart was bursting with joy!
As she prepared to get out of the car, Tu Jiaojiao picked up her handbag and was surprised to find a book with a corner chewed off by a rabbit hidden underneath. When she opened it, it was exactly Ling Han Blooms Alone!
It seemed that everything was determined by fate.
She hastily shoved the book into her bag, took several deep breaths, and stepped out of the car sideways.
Lin Yingxue was a supporting actress in The Queen of Crane Spirits. She was only nineteen this year, an age full of curiosity.
When she heard that a young lady was coming to visit the set, and since her scenes for the day were finished, she volunteered to come and meet her.
“Wow! Miss, your skin is so fair, and you look so good! Are you interested in joining the entertainment industry?”
As soon as Tu Jiaojiao got out of the car, she was stopped by a girl who was about the same age as her human form. The other’s enthusiasm startled her so much that she stepped back, almost falling over.
Lin Yingxue quickly steadied Tu Jiaojiao. Noticing this girl seemed a bit introverted, she also switched to a calm demeanor, extended her right hand, and smiled sweetly: “I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Lin Yingxue, and I play a minor role as Princess Dianbing in this movie.”
“Princess Dianbing! Hello, I’m Tu Jiaojiao!” Mentioning this, Tu Jiaojiao perked up, revealing a sweet smile. This was an important supporting role in the movie!
She hadn’t seen Princess Dianbing in the clips; she looked like this in person!
Lin Yingxue’s eyes widened, showing a look of shock: “You’re actually named Tu, so cute! I see you even have little bunny teeth. Jiaojiao, who are you here to visit? It’s definitely not me, is it the male lead Hou Feng?”
“No, no,” Mentioning her crush, a blush spread across the girl’s fair face, and her cute bunny teeth showed a shy look. Her voice was soft and sweet, as if she were coqueting, “I… I want to see Ling Hanyan.”
“Oh!” Lin Yingxue’s eyes lit up, and she led her in another direction: “So you’re here to see Sister Yan! Her role as Jiang Wuyao is simply too beautiful; she’s gained so many female fans!! Come on, come on, I know where she is!”
Lin Yingxue had incredible energy, and Tu Jiaojiao, following behind, was getting a little out of breath.
She didn’t know how many turns she took or how many onlookers she bypassed.
She was so tired she was almost turning back into a rabbit and collapsing into a rug.
Finally, behind a quiet and elegant bamboo forest, she saw the figure she had longed to see.
