Chapter 38: I’ll reward you later.
Jiang Yu suddenly recalled the contents of her chat with Rong Wei on WeChat a few days ago.
She had felt Rong Wei’s words were a bit strange then, but she hadn’t quite figured it out at the time.
Now, with Rong Wei’s direct statement, the puzzle in Jiang Yu’s mind was solved.
Rong Wei lightly tapped the table. Her fair, long fingers danced in Jiang Yu’s line of sight, with faint veins on the back of her hand, utterly captivating.
Jiang Yu felt a stirring within her, completely losing the thought of practicing calligraphy. Yet, she still leaned close to Rong Wei’s ear and symbolically asked, “So, how does Teacher Rong intend to teach me?”
Normally, Jiang Yu’s voice matched her appearance—bright and mature, as if encased in a hard shell. But in this moment, tinged with desire, it was much softer.
Rong Wei’s gaze darkened. She subtly pulled Jiang Yu closer, gently nipping her ear: “How does Miss Jiang want to learn?”
A sensation like an electric shock spread through her; Jiang Yu felt entirely numb.
But since it was just the beginning and her consciousness was still intact, she temporarily suppressed the feeling in her heart, turned her head, and pressed her red lips against Rong Wei’s cheek: “As you please.”
Rong Wei chuckled. The chair beneath her moved, and she effortlessly lifted Jiang Yu onto the desk.
The desk was made of red sandalwood. The fabric of Jiang Yu’s clothes was thin, providing almost no coverage, and it felt slightly cold to sit on.
Jiang Yu disliked cold things and instinctively drew a sharp breath: “It’s a bit cold.”
Rong Wei was silent, then kissed Jiang Yu’s lips without further explanation.
“Let’s warm up this way first.”
Despite saying that, Rong Wei still fetched a towel from the side and placed it under Jiang Yu’s body.
As always, Rong Wei’s kiss was still ardent and fiery.
Jiang Yu felt like it was the peak of summer, and she was walking on a deserted street, her body stuffy and muddy. Soon after, a downpour began, leaving her wet all over.
This sensation made her feel like she was floating in the clouds.
Despite it being a simple kiss, Jiang Yu was utterly lost.
Undoubtedly, the method proposed by Rong Wei was highly effective.
At this moment, Jiang Yu did not feel cold anywhere. In fact, the fire inside her was escalating, fueled by a gale, about to completely erupt.
Jiang Yu and Rong Wei were deeply immersed in the kiss.
At some point, Jiang Yu picked up the fountain pen that Rong Wei had been holding.
The cold metallic texture, like ice, instantly cooled her down.
The study only had a thin layer of gauze curtain, positioned right against the central air conditioning vent. With the cool breeze, the curtain slowly fluttered, and the figures on the table became indistinct shadows.
Jiang Yu hadn’t initially noticed any of this.
It was only because Rong Wei deliberately adjusted her position.
She watched everything clearly until the heat of the moment.
The storm was passing. At its most intense, Rong Wei suddenly stopped.
Jiang Yu watched Rong Wei raise her hand, gently wipe the moisture from around her lips, and then pull away.
When Rong Wei returned, Jiang Yu saw she was holding a stack of A4 paper.
Jiang Yu’s eyes widened involuntarily.
At a time like this, Rong Wei hadn’t forgotten about teaching her calligraphy?
She blinked, quietly watching Rong Wei.
She saw her smile and say, “I promised to bring you here to practice calligraphy. I can’t break my word.”
Jiang Yu swallowed, took a deep breath, and stiffly nodded.
“What do I need to do?”
“Very simple. Sit in front of me.”
Jiang Yu adjusted her position, sitting back on the chair.
The towel on the table was already messy. Jiang Yu instinctively frowned, took it away, and was about to speak when she suddenly felt a sensation of being covered on her right hand.
Rong Wei had grabbed her hand.
Rong Wei was a thoughtful person, having removed all her accessories before they started. At this moment, all Jiang Yu could feel was softness.
The skin on the back of her hand was delicate. The writing motion moved her finger bones, lightly scratching her palm, like a kitten scratching.
Rong Wei subtly guided Jiang Yu to start writing, controlling the pen, and didn’t speak immediately.
The characters on the paper were vigorous and powerful, matching Rong Wei’s overall demeanor.
Jiang Yu liked people with beautiful handwriting and had an interest in calligraphy.
But at this moment, she had no mind to see what characters Rong Wei was writing, nor did she have the inclination to appreciate how beautiful the script was.
Her attention was entirely on the spot where their hands touched.
Jiang Yu remembered this was the third time they had clasped hands tonight.
Only this time, the clasp was not dry and warm, but carried a certain dampness.
Rong Wei’s tone was serious and earnest, completely unlike someone who had just been kissing. She spoke a lot of professional knowledge, but regrettably, Jiang Yu didn’t take in a single word.
Jiang Yu admitted that her current intentions were far from pure.
She did not want to merely have Rong Wei hold her hand to write at this moment.
The suspended feeling was truly uncomfortable, like standing on the edge of a cliff, about to fall.
“If we’re practicing calligraphy…”
Rong Wei continued speaking. Her voice was always pleasant. Probably due to arousal, it was currently laced with a huskiness that made one’s ears flush.
Jiang Yu didn’t want to torment herself any longer.
So, as Rong Wei guided her to write the next character, she exerted some force.
Rong Wei’s movement stopped. Taking advantage of the gap, Jiang Yu said, “CEO Rong, I can’t really focus right now.”
A very low sigh came from Rong Wei’s ear. Her tone was unchanged, but the content of her reply made Jiang Yu’s heart tighten: “Miss Jiang, I’ll reward you later.”
Jiang Yu opened her mouth, but eventually swallowed her words.
Rong Wei was always a woman who kept her promises.
As Jiang Yu finished writing the twentieth character, Rong Wei gently kissed Jiang Yu’s cheek.
“Do you want to stay here?” Rong Wei asked.
Jiang Yu looked around, paused for a moment, and nodded: “Yes.”
A soft towel was spread on the table, along with a large waterproof pad.
Despite having taken full precautions, in the end, the A4 paper used for writing still moved out of place and became slightly damp.
Even the sparse ink marks on it bled, looking very much like a dense ink painting.
This location was no longer suitable, and the two naturally moved to the guest room.
Ultimately, the mattress in the guest room was also soaked through.
When it was over, Jiang Yu felt a whole-body euphoria that made her scalp tingle.
Because they had arrived early, even though it had been going on for a long time, it was still only ten o’clock at night.
She was a little tired, so she stayed put, lying lazily, resting quietly in Rong Wei’s arms.
There was a light but noticeable teeth mark on the webbing of Rong Wei’s hand.
Seeing this, Jiang Yu couldn’t help but laugh and sincerely said, “My apologies, CEO Rong.”
Rong Wei was silent for a moment, as if she hadn’t realized, and after a while, she chuckled softly: “It’s fine, it doesn’t hurt.”
Since Rong Wei said it didn’t hurt, Jiang Yu didn’t dwell on it.
After lying in bed for a while longer, Jiang Yu recovered somewhat and went to the bathroom to shower.
It was just a quick rinse, not taking much time.
Jiang Yu came out of the bathroom with no sleepiness at all.
She still felt a little excited. Seeing no movement from Rong Wei, she simply stood by the window to smoke.
The cooling sensation of the mint menthol bead shot straight to her head, making her instantly alert. It wasn’t until now that Jiang Yu felt truly sober.
The flame on her fingertip slowly burned. Jiang Yu shook her wrist; some subtle stinging pain still came through.
She wasn’t averse to this feeling, so she just let it dart around in her body.
A faint scent of jasmine suddenly wafted into her nostrils. Jiang Yu looked up and saw Rong Wei standing beside her.
The atmosphere in the room had been too hot earlier, and to cool it down, Jiang Yu and Rong Wei had turned the air conditioning quite low. Since they still had a while before sleeping, Rong Wei had changed into normal loungewear after her shower.
It was a shirt with the cuffs slightly rolled up, revealing half of her arm, where the fluid muscle lines were very clear in the moonlight.
The intimacy in this room was a privilege they shared.
Jiang Yu extinguished the cigarette and turned to throw herself into Rong Wei’s embrace.
Her action was sudden, causing Rong Wei to be slightly taken aback for a moment.
It wasn’t for play, and there was no special necessity, but she was very hypocritical about not wanting Jiang Yu to smell the residual smoke up close.
Subtly moving the burning cigarette aside, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
Jiang Yu shook her head: “Nothing, I just wanted to stay in your arms for a bit.”
“CEO Rong wouldn’t be so cold and heartless as to not even let me stay in her arms after… sleeping with me, would she?”
The voice was particularly playful, which made Rong Wei laugh.
“No, feel free to lean on me.”
It’s a wonder who completely treats the other like a stranger once they leave this room.
Rong Wei felt that the one who truly acts as if they don’t know the other was clearly someone else.
Jiang Yu nodded, lowered her head, and stayed quietly in Rong Wei’s arms.
The familiar scent of sandalwood wafted into her nose, but this time, it had a hint of sweetness, like the citrus-scented shampoo she had just used.
They shared the same scent.
Jiang Yu thought quietly, hearing Rong Wei’s voice ring in her ear.
“There’s something I need to tell you.”
Jiang Yu straightened up and gave a questioning “Mhm.”
Rong Wei looked at Jiang Yu and slowly said, “I have a project to discuss the day after tomorrow. The location is not in Li City.”
“That is to say, I need to go on a business trip. We won’t be able to meet this Saturday.”
It wasn’t surprising that a busy person like Rong Wei would have sudden work. Jiang Yu didn’t mind and quickly accepted the news, her tone light: “Got it. You do your thing. Work is important.”
Rong Wei: “Mhm.”
Jiang Yu naturally wouldn’t ask too much about Rong Wei’s work.
But she didn’t expect the next second, Rong Wei to voluntarily speak: “An investor had some issues, and I need to go back to the country for a trip.”
Jiang Yu instinctively nodded. She was taken aback when she realized Rong Wei was telling her the specific details of her work arrangement.
“CEO Rong is being very detailed.”
Rong Wei smiled, neither confirming nor denying.
Hearing Rong Wei mention the business trip back to the country, Jiang Yu also started to think about her own work arrangements.
Since she had time now, to avoid having to notify her separately later, Jiang Yu said directly, “I should also be going back to the country for a business trip sometime soon.”
She paused, then continued, “I don’t know how long it will be, but we might not be able to meet on Saturday nights for a while.”
“That’s a bit of a pity,” Rong Wei said slowly.
Jiang Yu genuinely felt a bit regretful too, but only said, “It’s not certain yet. We’ll see then.”
As she spoke, the cigarette in Rong Wei’s hand burned out.
She extinguished the butt, turned to leave, but left a meaningful remark: “It might not be a pity. Perhaps we’ll meet in the country sometime.”
