Chapter 30: “I like the way you kiss me hard.”
Rong Wei received Jiang Yu’s message just as she was about to leave work.
She was holding her phone and had just typed a character when her assistant walked in to report on work progress.
“Ms. Rong, the Qijiang project has progressed to the final stage. Ms. Bai is currently selecting the final collaborating modeling agency.”
A boss like Rong Wei usually only handled the final decision.
However, the Qijiang project was special—it was an enterprise Rong Wei intended to use as a cornerstone for her younger sister’s future, so she inevitably paid it more attention.
She put down her phone, glanced lightly at her assistant, and motioned for her to speak.
“Miss Jiang seems to be competing for this project.”
Rong Wei recalled Jiang Yu’s profession and wasn’t too surprised by the assistant’s words. She just said flatly, “Mm, noted.”
“Does she require special consideration?” the assistant asked directly.
“No need. She is capable.”
Rong Wei’s image of Jiang Yu flashed in her mind. After a moment, she gave her answer.
The assistant nodded and left Rong Wei’s office.
Rong Wei lowered her gaze and tapped her phone screen again. The page was still on her chat window with Jiang Yu.
Rong Wei had a low-key, composed personality and was never one to openly publicize her private relationships.
The assistant knew about Jiang Yu because she had helped buy clothes and finger sleeves.
Furthermore, Rong Wei had always been indifferent to romantic matters, and in recent years, Jiang Yu was the only person in her life.
Because of this, the assistant might have thought that she had a slight liking for Jiang Yu, which was why she proactively asked after learning Jiang Yu was involved in the project.
Rong Wei’s lips curved up as she recalled some past events.
When she first met Jiang Yu, she was bright and beautiful, stunning at first sight. The second time, she was fragile and decadent, like easily shattered glass. The third time, she was again bold and radiant, like a shining pearl.
Later, Jiang Yu amusingly forgot her, only to “fall in love” with her again in a peculiar way.
…
It’s only because Jiang Yu is interesting, and I’m curious about her. It’s not yet what one would call ‘liking’ her.
After a moment of thought, Rong Wei messaged Jiang Yu back: [Before midnight. I’m available until then.]
Her phone vibrated. Jiang Yu saw Rong Wei’s message, thought for a moment, and then agreed: [Okay, I’ll call you when I’m done.]
After messaging Rong Wei, Jiang Yu put down her phone and devoted herself entirely to work.
Overall, the rest of the work went smoothly. She held a meeting with the director of the operations department. After the discussion, she arranged to meet the Qijiang team for dinner and negotiation two days later.
Things had taken a slight turn for the better. Jiang Yu left the conference room, took a deep breath, and looked at her watch: exactly nine o’clock in the evening.
The timing was remarkably precise. She was exceptionally tired and needed something to relax both her body and mind.
In the elevator, Jiang Yu messaged Rong Wei.
[I’m done. Heading over now.]
Fortunately, the company was not too far from the hotel, and she reached the hotel in only half an hour.
The time was neither too early nor too late.
Rong Wei had already messaged her to say she had arrived.
Jiang Yu entered the hotel lobby, walked toward the elevator, and suddenly felt hungry. She missed the taste of that vegetable porridge.
She called the front desk, ordered dinner, and asked them to deliver it to the room as soon as possible.
Having done all this, Jiang Yu had reached the door of the executive suite.
It wasn’t her first time here. To be honest, Jiang Yu felt unusually calm this time, but within that calm, there was a familiar, faint sense of anticipation.
She yearned for the fulfillment and satiation that made her whole body tremble with pleasure.
The door opened. The lights inside were bright, no different from every previous visit. Jiang Yu saw Rong Wei sitting on the sofa, slowly reading a thick book.
Jiang Yu didn’t particularly like reading, but she loved watching Rong Wei read. After all, Rong Wei was beautiful, and the simple act of turning a page was a pleasure to watch.
Jiang Yu kicked off her high heels and took off her jacket: “Good evening, Ms. Rong. Thank you for waiting for me.”
Rong Wei put down her book, looked at Jiang Yu, and slowly said: “Good evening. I just finished my meeting too.”
“Then I guess our timing is perfect,” Jiang Yu smoothly replied.
Jiang Yu had been on her feet all day and was already tired. Since Rong Wei was right there on the sofa, she went straight over and sat down.
Rong Wei’s scent easily drifted into her nostrils.
The weariness in Jiang Yu’s heart instantly vanished. She sat quietly, not speaking for the moment, and a strange descriptive word came to mind.
Catnip.
Rong Wei’s unique scent of agarwood was like magical catnip, making her feel attracted and instantly relaxed.
Jiang Yu took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and after a moment, heard Rong Wei’s voice.
“Are you done with work?”
Mentioning work, Jiang Yu opened her eyes: “More or less.”
“Was it very troublesome?”
Jiang Yu pursed her lips, simply saying: “A little bit.”
“What about you, Ms. Rong? Did tonight go smoothly?” Jiang Yu didn’t want to elaborate on her own affairs and casually shifted the topic to Rong Wei.
Rong Wei simply replied: “Mm, smoothly.”
“Are you nearsighted?”
Rong Wei had known from the start that Jiang Yu didn’t want to talk about her work or private life. Her question just now was merely small talk to prevent the atmosphere from becoming strained, so she changed the topic.
Jiang Yu nodded: “Slightly. I usually wear contacts, but my working hours were quite long today, and contacts hurt my eyes by night, so I switched to these.”
Saying that, Jiang Yu smiled brightly: “What is it? Do you not like people who wear glasses, Ms. Rong?”
Rong Wei said naturally: “No. I just think you look quite good wearing them.”
Jiang Yu raised an eyebrow, fully accepting Rong Wei’s compliment: “Then thank you for the praise, Ms. Rong.”
“Let’s not talk about this anymore. I’m going to shower first. I ordered vegetable porridge from the hotel. I’ll eat something afterwards.”
“Otherwise, I won’t have any strength, and Ms. Rong won’t be merciful enough to give me time to rest.”
Hearing this, Rong Wei chuckled softly, stood up, and the warmth of her breath fanned Jiang Yu’s neck, her voice conveying a tempting ambiguity: “What should I do, then? Do you want me to change?”
Rong Wei’s tone was simply too seductive.
Jiang Yu pressed her lips together, her gaze fixed on Rong Wei’s mouth. She suddenly wanted to share a deep, soulful kiss with her.
But now was not the time, as their kisses were never purely innocent.
Jiang Yu didn’t want to kiss Rong Wei all the way to the bed, only for her stomach to start rumbling loudly.
That scenario would be too mortifying.
“No, you’re perfect as you are.”
“I like the way you kiss me hard.”
Her tone was playful, carrying a clear challenge.
Rong Wei chuckled softly, nodded: “Go take your shower.”
Jiang Yu waved her hand and disappeared from Rong Wei’s sight.
…
Twenty minutes later, Jiang Yu came out of the bathroom and saw her pre-ordered dinner already laid out on the table. She asked, “Did the restaurant deliver so quickly? I just called them.”
Rong Wei looked up at Jiang Yu, naturally ladled a bowl of porridge, and said: “Actually, I ordered this before I came. The items you ordered from the restaurant haven’t arrived yet.”
Jiang Yu gasped in surprise, confused: “Strange. I called the front desk, and she didn’t say we had already ordered dinner.”
Rong Wei looked at Jiang Yu helplessly and slowly said: “Miss Jiang, the hotel kitchen isn’t the only place with a chef.”
Jiang Yu: “What?”
Rong Wei: “I have a chef at my home. After all, I can’t let you go hungry.”
