The Eldest Lady always wants to have a double O Relationship with her old enemy - Chapter 16
After the two-day joint college entrance examination, it was a Saturday.
The afternoon sky was gloomy. Shen Jianxi, in a blue and black plaid JK uniform and a white shirt, stood downstairs at the library. A cool breeze blew, and the bow tie on her neck fluttered like butterfly wings. The cold made Shen Jianxi unconsciously stomp her calves, which were wrapped in long black socks.
Tang Yanzhao walked out with her schoolbag and saw her shivering. Her brows furrowed, and she approached her with a bright smile. She instinctively asked, “Why are you wearing so little? Aren’t you cold?”
The smile on Shen Jianxi’s lips widened, and her eyes sparkled. She stretched out her hand to her, her voice trailing off with a coquettish tone, “Touch it.”
Tang Yanzhao’s left hand, which was holding her schoolbag strap, tightened. Her expression remained calm as she naturally took Shen Jianxi’s fair, slender fingers. The coolness of Shen Jianxi’s hand was a stark contrast to her own.
“It’s so cold.”
As soon as their hands touched, Shen Jianxi’s hand wrapped around Tang Yanzhao’s like a small snake, holding on tightly and refusing to let go. She said in a matter-of-fact tone, “Then you can warm me up.”
Tang Yanzhao’s ears twitched. She instinctively wanted to let go, but she couldn’t break free. Shen Jianxi had already started pulling her forward, and her entire consciousness seemed to be focused on their intertwined hands.
It was delicate and soft with a hint of coolness, like an ice cream on a hot summer day for Tang Yanzhao’s warm, dry hand.
Tang Yanzhao followed Shen Jianxi, half a step behind, and her heart began to beat faster for no reason.
Suddenly, Shen Jianxi’s two low coughs instantly brought Tang Yanzhao’s scattered consciousness back to the present. She took a big step forward, closing the distance between them.
“Go back and add a layer of clothing first,” Tang Yanzhao said.
Shen Jianxi swallowed, her eyes smiling as she shook her head, “It’s okay. Uncle Chen is already waiting for us at the school gate.”
Tang Yanzhao tugged at her own denim jacket, “Do you want to wear mine?”
It was clearly a gesture of concern, but what started out so righteously had turned into a cautious question.
Did she think her clothes weren’t good enough for her?
The smile on Shen Jianxi’s lips faded. She gently squeezed their intertwined hands. “No, thank you. I’m not cold, and we’ll be in the car soon. We’ll be indoors to get our measurements, so it’s fine.”
Shen Jianxi felt her heart ache, wondering how many grievances this “quiet gourd” had suffered to become this way.
Because she was jealous a few days ago, Shen Jianxi directly rejected Hua Yan’s suggestion to have Tang Yanzhao’s stage costumes for the play measured. So, the two of them could only go for custom fittings on this Saturday.
It was said that there was a century-old shop in the ancient city that specialized in making this kind of ancient clothing. The quality was excellent, and the prices were also very high. What’s more, they were getting custom-made outfits, and with the performance less than forty days away, the rush order would be several times more expensive.
Of course, Shen Jianxi didn’t care about the money. The one thing she wasn’t short of was money.
However, Tang Yanzhao felt it was a bit wasteful. They were standing face to face in the changing room, and Shen Jianxi was playing with the measuring tape.
Tang Yanzhao took a deep breath and said, “Do we really have to get it done here? We’re only going to wear it once, it’s not necessary.”
Shen Jianxi looked up at her, “Why is it not necessary? This is my first time with you…”
“It’s too wasteful.”
“But every memory with you is priceless.”
“…” Tang Yanzhao was at a loss for words.
Her words and her gaze were too sincere, but the reality was too cruel.
Shen Jianxi really could afford not to care about the cost. The fact that they could even stand together, given their different backgrounds, was absurd enough.
Tang Yanzhao’s dark pupils were bottomless, and it made Shen Jianxi’s heart ache. She cupped Tang Yanzhao’s face with one hand. “Zhaozhao, I told you, you are very important to me. Nothing else in the world is as important as you. You have to remember that, okay?”
Tang Yanzhao’s chest felt tight. After a long moment of silence, she finally opened her lips and said, “…Okay.”
Shen Jianxi bit her tongue to suppress the itch in her throat. A smile appeared on her lips, and her eyes were filled with starlight.
Nothing in this world is more important than you, so please don’t look down.
Shen Jianxi rubbed her palm against Tang Yanzhao’s face before letting go. “Take off your clothes.”
Tang Yanzhao obediently took off her denim jacket and put it on the clothes rack next to her.
Looking at the vague outline under the white T-shirt, Shen Jianxi picked at the measuring tape, secretly wondering if she should take advantage of this opportunity.
But the thought only lasted for a moment before Shen Jianxi gave up on it. She immediately self-corrected: No, that’s too perverted.
Did she need to be sneaky about it?
When a decent person takes advantage, they do it openly.
Shen Jianxi cleared her throat and first measured Tang Yanzhao’s height, leg length, shoulder width, arm length, and knee circumference.
She squatted in front of Tang Yanzhao, diligently recording the measurements. Tang Yanzhao stood there blankly, letting Shen Jianxi do whatever she wanted.
Shen Jianxi stood up and wrapped the measuring tape around her arms. She measured her waist with a hug-like posture, her legs slightly bent and spread apart, a little shorter than Tang Yanzhao. She pressed her fingers against the mark and tightened the length to measure. The back of her fingers inevitably touched Tang Yanzhao’s abdomen, which was slightly firm.
She tapped her abdomen twice with her knuckles, looked up at her with a smile in her eyes, and said, “Don’t suck in your stomach, relax a little.”
Tang Yanzhao’s lips became a straight line, and her breathing became stiff. She wanted to do as she was told, but the faint warmth coming from Shen Jianxi made it hard for her to relax.
Shen Jianxi let out a soft laugh from her nose, “Zhaozhao, are you nervous?”
“…”
Shen Jianxi raised her eyebrows slightly, “Or how about you measure me first? I’m not nervous. You can measure me however you want.”
Tang Yanzhao was truly helpless when it came to her. She could only take a deep breath under Shen Jianxi’s intense gaze and say in a hoarse voice, “It’s fine.”
Shen Jianxi bit her lips and smiled.
Zhaozhao’s occasional hypocrisy was just too, too cute.
Tang Yanzhao’s waist was truly thin, without a hint of fat. It could be held in one hand. Even when she sucked in her stomach nervously, there wasn’t much of a difference from when she was relaxed.
Shen Jianxi held the intersection of the measuring tape with one hand, leaving a finger’s width of distance to circle her waist. The other hand, in front of Tang Yanzhao, brazenly rested on her abdomen. After a few seconds, she curled her other fingers, leaving only her index finger on the center of her abdomen, and slowly moved it down.
“Zhaozhao, do you have an ab line?”
Tang Yanzhao’s ears flushed. Instinctively, she tried to back away, but her waist and abdomen were already firmly locked by Shen Jianxi’s measuring tape.
Shen Jianxi pulled the measuring tape back, forcing Tang Yanzhao to stay put. With their heights being about the same, their faces were now close together, and their breaths were intertwined.
Tang Yanzhao gave in after less than three seconds and turned her head away. “Are you done?”
Shen Jianxi’s body also began to feel a fine itch, like ants crawling. It wasn’t very painful, which meant it was only the initial stage of her “punishment.”
Her lips turned downward, and she cocked her head with her eyebrows raised, saying in a coy and smug tone, “I haven’t measured your bust yet.”
Tang Yanzhao bit her back teeth and let out a muffled “Mm.”
Shen Jianxi didn’t remind her. She squeezed between her arms, hugging her and exchanging warmth. The measuring tape moved up along her waistline, gradually releasing its length until it enclosed a size that was obviously much larger than her waist.
“135,” Shen Jianxi said, staring at her intently. The measuring tape was taut against her heaving chest, and she suddenly said a number.
Tang Yanzhao’s nails dug deeply into her palms, and a suspicious blush crept onto her cheeks. But the number Shen Jianxi had given was so outrageous that it made her ink-black eyes tremble. “What?”
Shen Jianxi swallowed, her throat bobbing as she made a difficult swallowing sound. By now, the pain in her body had intensified, and her fingers were trembling more and more noticeably. To prevent her from noticing, Shen Jianxi had to let go of the measuring tape and hide her hands behind her back. She said with an unsteady breath, “Your heartbeat.”
Tang Yanzhao watched Shen Jianxi turn her back to get a pen to record, but just as she did, the pen fell to the floor with a light clatter.
Shen Jianxi stood still. Tang Yanzhao thought she was waiting for her, so she squatted down with her wildly beating heart, picked up the pen, and handed it back to her.
When Shen Jianxi reached out to take it, Tang Yanzhao immediately noticed her hand was trembling and instinctively grabbed her wrist. “What’s wrong with your hand?”
Shen Jianxi didn’t look at her and shook her head, “I’m fine.”
Tang Yanzhao couldn’t be fooled by a simple “I’m fine.” She lifted Shen Jianxi’s head, and the pale look on her face shocked Tang Yanzhao. She said in an unquestionable tone, “Let’s go to the hospital.”
Shen Jianxi, however, pulled her hand back. “I’m really fine.”
Tang Yanzhao’s eyebrows furrowed into a “川” shape. “But you look so pale.”
Shen Jianxi forced a smile, “I just have a little low blood sugar. I’ll be fine after a rest. Just help me sit over there.”
Tang Yanzhao helped her to the sofa nearby. “I’ll go get you something to eat.”
Shen Jianxi wouldn’t let go of her hand. “Don’t. Just stay with me.”
“But you…”
“Zhaozhao~”
With that pitiful look, Tang Yanzhao couldn’t refuse. She sat down next to Shen Jianxi, who leaned her body against her and lay her head on her lap, her eyes slightly closed.
In fact, from the moment Tang Yanzhao noticed her abnormality, the punishment had already started to subside. Now, it was just the aftershock of the punishment, and her face just looked scary.
Shen Jianxi’s voice was soft and weak. “Zhaozhao, hold me.”
Tang Yanzhao’s thoughts had completely returned to normal. Her faster-than-normal heartbeat didn’t mean she was moved; she was just scared. When she heard Shen Jianxi’s request, Tang Yanzhao gave her her hand without hesitation.
Shen Jianxi held Tang Yanzhao’s fingers with both hands and placed them on her stomach, which was rising and falling. She didn’t say anything else.
Tang Yanzhao also quietly looked at Shen Jianxi’s face. As time passed, her face finally didn’t look so terrifying, and her lips regained some color, but Tang Yanzhao still couldn’t feel at ease.
After a long while, Shen Jianxi finally opened her eyes. There were still some unnatural red veins around her eyes, but her spirits had completely recovered. She sat up and looked at Tang Yanzhao, tilting her head playfully. “What’s wrong?”
“Your body…”
Shen Jianxi stood up and bounced a few times. “Look at me now. I can run and jump. I’m fine, so don’t worry.”
“Why did your body suddenly feel cold, and you were trembling and looked so pale?”
“I told you, it’s just low blood sugar,” Shen Jianxi replied matter-of-factly.
With Tang Yanzhao’s intelligence, she wasn’t going to let this go so easily. “Have you had your physical exam this year?”
Shen Jianxi nodded hurriedly. “Yes, I have.”
“Go do it again.”
Shen Jianxi shrugged helplessly and let out a sigh. She put her arms on Tang Yanzhao’s shoulders. “Zhaozhao, I’m really happy that you care about me, but don’t make such a fuss. I really just have low blood sugar. Don’t you think I know my own body?”
