Xiang Shuxing had been a wild, spoiled troublemaker since childhood, basking in the excessive affection of her family. That was until she turned twenty, the year her mother passed away. In the midst of a torrential downpour, she suddenly lost every pillar of support she had ever known.
If that wasn’t enough, a single letter of appointment signed away the next three years of her life to another woman: her “convenient” older sister, Chu Yingqiu, who had been living abroad for many years.
Everyone whispered that Chu Yingqiu had only returned to the country to seize control of the Xiang family enterprise. Yet, in reality, Chu Yingqiu was the one obsessively monitoring Shuxing’s studies and setting strict curfews. Whenever Shuxing would blather on about her “ideal girlfriend,” Chu Yingqiu’s eyes would darken with a deep, unfathomable emotion.
Xiang Shuxing found this suffocating. After playing the part of the obedient girl for a while, she finally reached her breaking point and snuck out to a famous lesbian bar with some friends. To her shock, the very first day she stepped into the bar, Chu Yingqiu crossed half the city to drag her out personally.
“Sui Sui, you are being very disobedient.”
That night, she was hauled back home. The woman’s slender, pale fingers pressed firmly against her waist, giving her a severe “punishment.” The next day, when her friends anxiously asked how she was holding up, Xiang Shuxing—rarely one to shy away from anything, blushed a deep crimson and stammered incoherently.
After witnessing Chu Yingqiu’s unpredictable moods, Xiang Shuxing tried to keep her head down. She never expected that the woman would use that letter of appointment as a pretense to move into her home, get close to her, share her bed, and eventually, with her own hands, undo the buttons on Shuxing’s blouse.
After being kissed until her mind was a total blur, Xiang Shuxing blushed and flared up in defiance: “Don’t think that just by getting close to me, you can swallow up the Xiang family business!”
Chu Yingqiu let out a low chuckle, her fingertips lifting Shuxing’s chin with an irresistible force. “What if I told you… that what I’ve wanted all along, has always been you?”
On the day Chu Yingqiu moved in, Xiang Shuxing swore to herself that she would absolutely never call her “Sister.” Yet, she never imagined that in the countless nights that followed, it would be she herself who crawled into the woman’s bed, clinging to Chu Yingqiu, begging for one kiss after another, her voice soft and full of yearning:
“Sister, kiss me.”
“Sister, I really, really like you.”
“Sister…”
