The Delicate Beauty Grabbed the Cannon Fodder Villain’s Script [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 9
The love-hate entanglement between Jian Tao and Jiang Shi had always been a favorite topic of conversation within their social circle. The crowd present was now witnessing history in the making.
Everyone was jeering and cheering. A thin flush rose on Jian Tao’s face, his eyelashes trembled slightly, and he twisted his fingers together so hard that his fingertips turned white and painful. Finally, hardening his heart, he turned around to face Jiang Shi.
Jiang Shi felt a wave of fragrance wash over him. Immediately after, Jian Tao’s stunning little face appeared before his eyes, causing him to suffocate for a moment. It took a few seconds for his breathing to regulate. He stared without blinking, feeling a slight sense of vertigo in his head.
Seeing this, the crowd’s cheering grew even louder. Jian Tao was currently kneeling on the carpet, looking at the person inches away from him. Although he knew Jiang Shi would never agree to let him kiss him and would certainly push him away, it was still nerve-wracking.
Meanwhile, Su Wen, who had already sat down next to Jiang Chengli, watched the two staring at each other. The muscles in his cheeks twitched faintly. He withdrew his cold gaze and turned to Jiang Chengli with a teasing expression. “How rare. Is Jiang Shi actually going to let Young Master Jian kiss him?”
Jiang Chengli was also staring intently at the pair. Unlike the other spectators, he could not bring himself to feel excited at all. However, facing Su Wen’s teasing, he immediately forced a smile. “It is just a game, and Jiang Shi takes games seriously. No matter how much he loathed Young Master Jian before, if it is time to kiss, he has to kiss.”
“True.” Su Wen’s lips curled into an elegant arc. His narrow eyes looked at Jiang Shi through the cold lenses of his glasses. “I remember one time before, Jiang Shi went to great lengths just to stay far away from Young Master Jian.”
Su Wen began to recount old stories of how much Jiang Shi used to detest Jian Tao, and Jiang Chengli chimed in from the side.
At the center of attention, the hearts of the two men tightened. Jian Tao was disturbed by the mention of those old grudges and felt somewhat reluctant to get close to Jiang Shi. Jiang Shi, on the other hand, had broken into a sweat on his forehead. He could feel Jian Tao’s breath on his skin. The atmosphere was sticky and fragrant. He found himself unable to look away from Jian Tao’s pink, fleshy lips. They were shaped beautifully, looking plump and seemingly perfect for kissing. Yet, those old stories served as a reminder of just how much he was supposed to loathe Jian Tao.
He was supposed to detest Jian Tao. It was only this current skin that made the boy look so harmless, whereas the person himself was an obnoxious, overbearing scoundrel.
Su Wen and Jiang Chengli seemed to have opened a treasure chest of memories, and every word reached Jiang Shi’s ears perfectly. Just as Jian Tao bit his lip and decided to lean in, Jiang Shi pushed him away forcefully.
Jian Tao was pushed so hard he landed on his backside on the floor. The pain was immediate, and the rims of his eyes turned red. He then saw Jiang Shi pointing at him irritably. “Even if it is a game, I will not kiss you. I am telling you, even if your face is fixed, I still find you annoying!”
Jian Tao glared at him, feeling a sudden surge of grievance. He quickly wiped away a tear that was about to fall. “You think I actually wanted to kiss you? Who would even want you!”
With that, Jian Tao hugged his knees and sat back in his original spot. His face was flushed with anger, his lips were bitten white, and his eyes were filled with mist.
Seeing this, the excitement of the crowd was instantly extinguished. Someone even whispered, “Why do I feel like Young Master Jian is quite pitiable?”
“Yes, to be humiliated like that in public.”
“Hey, don’t forget it was him who kept pestering Jiang Shi!”
“Young Master Jian just likes Young Master Jiang too much. If I were Jiang Shi, I would have been moved.”
“You… where are your principles?”
Jian Tao was currently immersed in his own emotions when 250 comforted him in his head. “Tao Tao, you were amazing! Jiang Shi is furious with you, and his task bar has increased by a lot!”
Only then did Jian Tao react, his grievance immediately replaced by joy. “I was too into character just now. Hmph, what a smelly man!”
“Exactly, we won’t bother with smelly men!” 250 said happily.
“Logically, he should have at least pretended a little in front of me before the wedding, but once the mask came off, he didn’t even bother to fake it,” Jian Tao joked.
The atmosphere was somewhat awkward, and the game could no longer continue. Su Wen picked up Jian Tao’s mask from beside him and handed it over. “Are you still wearing it?”
Jian Tao glanced at it and waved his hand. “No more.”
It didn’t matter whether he wore it or not, and the effect seemed even better without it.
At this point, Jiang Chengli stretched, appearing to be in a better mood. He suggested, “Everyone must be hungry. How about those who can cook go make some midnight snacks?”
Everyone agreed. Some stayed in the living room to chat, while others headed to the kitchen. Jiang Shi had already returned to his room.
Jian Tao waited for the snacks, sitting on the sofa. Su Wen sat to his left and Jiang Chengli to his right. Sitting in the middle, he didn’t know how this strange seating arrangement had formed.
Jiang Chengli leaned toward Jian Tao, took a small packet out of his pocket, and opened it. He poured a few milk balls into his palm and held them out to Jian Tao. “Young Master Jian.”
Jian Tao looked at them and instantly remembered the scene of being scared into choking by Jiang Mu in the lounge. It had become a trauma. He immediately shook his head. “No thanks.”
Jiang Chengli looked at the round objects in his hand, his handsome peach blossom eyes dimming slightly. It was a pity he couldn’t get Jian Tao to eat them. In truth, he didn’t like these things at all, but ever since seeing Jian Tao eat them last time, he had impulsively bought quite a lot.
Su Wen let out a “tsk” from the side. Dressed in a slim-fit suit, he leaned back lazily on the sofa and teased, “Don’t you dislike sweets? Why are you carrying those around with you?”
Jiang Chengli immediately stuffed a milk ball into his mouth and chewed hard. “A person’s tastes can change.”
Jian Tao smelled the milky fragrance and his mouth watered slightly. He turned and reached toward Su Wen’s trouser pocket. Su Wen’s reaction was a bit large; he dodged to the side and asked coldly, “What are you doing?”
“Candy,” Jian Tao glared at him. Why was he being so fierce? He used to always put his leftover candy in Su Wen’s pockets; he just wanted to feel if there were any left.
Su Wen’s muscles relaxed, and he took out half a bag of candy from his pocket to give to Jian Tao. Now, besides the walkie-talkie, his pockets were filled with various flavors of fruit candy.
Just as Jian Tao took the candy, he heard Jiang Chengli’s sarcastic remark from the side. “Oh, so even though you don’t eat candy, you carry it around. What a good butler.”
Jian Tao heard the mockery in his voice and glared at him. “I put it there. Do you have a problem with that?”
“No, how could I?” Jiang Chengli smiled. He wished he were the one with candy in his pocket. Ideally, Jian Tao would call him “Brother” and he would feed a piece into his mouth, seeing the red, tender tongue clearly as those lips parted.
After eating, Jian Tao returned to his room. He took all the dolls off the shelf and stuffed them into the cabinet; they were too creepy to look at.
Since he had slept a lot during the day, he couldn’t fall asleep after his shower. He played with his bird for a while, but just as he was having fun, 250’s voice rang out.
“New task online. This is a fixed task, and it is detected as being most easily implemented tonight. Task content: Seduce the protagonist in the middle of the night and deliberately let the male lead see it. Reward: 5% plot progress.”
Once the task was announced, Jian Tao lost all interest in the bird. “What kind of trash task is this? It is too difficult.”
“It is indeed challenging. I will find some videos on how to seduce people for you to watch,” 250 said seriously. “Don’t worry about anything else. The timing and character movements for fixed tasks are almost always set. You just need to follow the plot.”
“Good thing I’m not sleepy,” Jian Tao muttered. “When does the task start?”
“In half an hour,” 250 said.
During that half hour, Jian Tao studied the videos 250 provided. As he watched, his toes curled in embarrassment; it was far too shameful.
Half an hour later, Jian Tao stepped out of his room. He was wearing a white silk bathrobe with a slightly deep neckline, revealing his collarbones. He wore matching slippers, and his thin, tall frame made him look very light.
Jiang Shi was currently leaning against the window in the first-floor kitchen, drinking wine and looking at the crescent moon, appearing lost in thought. The kitchen was open-plan. Only a small lamp was lit in the living room, so the kitchen was dark, lit only by the cold moonlight from outside.
At that moment, a person who seemed to radiate a soft glow entered Jiang Shi’s line of sight. He walked with light steps, like an elf in the night.
Jian Tao spotted Jiang Shi in the kitchen before he even finished the last few steps of the stairs. He felt nervous but had to pretend to walk over nonchalantly. Jiang Shi immediately became irritable upon seeing him, his brows knitting tightly. “Why did you come down?”
Jian Tao paused, thinking this guy definitely assumed he had come specifically to find him. He walked straight to the refrigerator, pulled out a bottle of milk, and said huffily, “Can’t I drink some milk?”
Seeing that Jiang Shi didn’t speak and even turned back to look out the window in disgust, Jian Tao took a glass and poured some milk. He took a sip to hide his nervousness, then walked up to him and questioned, “We are clearly getting married, so why did you act like that during the game?”
Jiang Shi’s profile was sharply defined by the moonlight, and his earring reflected the light. He looked at the person in front of him, and his furrowed brows unknowingly smoothed out. “So what if we are getting married? After the wedding, I will still find you this annoying. Are you still going to marry me?”
Jiang Shi spoke with great confidence. He stared directly at the person in front of him. In the moonlight, Jian Tao’s skin had a shimmering glow, and his features were made even more intense and stunning by the cold light.
Jian Tao pursed his lips. He really did have to marry him. He looked back at him without backing down, having completely forgotten the seduction videos. He said firmly, “Then you are not allowed to be mean to me in front of so many people. I am very angry now. If you kiss me, I will consider forgiving you.”
Jian Tao was in character again, speaking with a touch of spite. He closed his eyes, puckered his lips, and leaned toward Jiang Shi. This was the “seduction,” and then Jiang Shi would push him away in disgust.
Jiang Shi looked at those upturned, fleshy lips. For a moment, his gaze seemed glued to them. His breathing suddenly grew heavy, and his hands instinctively clenched. This was the person he detested most—a simple-minded waste and a pampered, overbearing scoundrel. He loathed him to his very core.
Jiang Shi’s breathing was heavy. Jian Tao opened one eye and saw that Jiang Shi’s chest was heaving with anger. He decided to turn up the heat and moved a step closer. However, Jiang Shi seemingly didn’t expect the sudden proximity and instinctively pushed him. The milk in the glass splashed right onto Jian Tao’s shoulder.
With an “Ouch” from Jian Tao, his silk bathrobe became wet and translucent, revealing his skin. Jian Tao didn’t notice, as he had already spotted Su Wen on the stairs. In the dim light, the glasses on Su Wen’s nose were shrouded in darkness, making his entire face appear grim and solemn.
Jian Tao panicked for a moment. He put the glass in the sink, grabbed a white towel from the side, and stuffed it into Jiang Shi’s hand to play out the seduction plot. “Look… you got me all wet. Hurry and wipe it for me.”
Jiang Shi looked at him strangely. Seeing him dazed, Jian Tao grabbed Jiang Shi’s hand and placed it on his own shoulder. “What are you staring for? Hurry up.”
Jiang Shi’s mind went blank for a moment. His fingertips touched cool, delicate skin. His hand began to mechanically wipe the liquid off the boy’s body. Jian Tao tugged at the wet bathrobe on his shoulder. Jiang Shi’s hand paused, and Jian Tao immediately used his eyes to command him to continue.
Jiang Shi’s Adam’s apple bobbed. The milk flowed down Jian Tao’s exquisite collarbone, and a rounded shoulder was revealed. The red on his chest became increasingly clear.
Jian Tao stared at Jiang Shi, using a serious gaze to threaten him into wiping his body. The towel was a bit rough, and it felt prickly against his skin. Just as he felt a burning sensation somewhere on his chest, he looked down and his face instantly turned completely red.
The white towel was focused very intently on that spot. In the moonlight, it was a vivid, tender red.
Jian Tao instantly covered it with his hand, his voice trembling as he spoke. “That is enough.”
The moment Jiang Shi stopped, Jian Tao looked toward the stairs. Su Wen was still standing there, his face hidden in the shadows, as still as a piece of wood. Jian Tao thought he must be jealous of the protagonist’s closeness to him.
